Work Text:
The neon glare of the bar was long gone, replaced by the suffocating, familiar heat of their shared apartment.
It was exactly 1:07 AM. They should have been out for another two hours, drowning in expensive whiskey, losing themselves in the rhythm of the pulsing, rock music and the mindless dancing. It was supposed to be a day to themselves, their engagement, Instead, the entire night had shattered into jagged pieces the exact moment some regular decided he liked the look of Tim.
Tim had tried to be civil at first. He had purposefully flashed his left hand, letting the ring catch the colorful, neon light's, making the diamond in the middle flash, spoke clearly over the music, and explicitly told the guy he had a fiancé. But some people don't listen to words.
They only understand gravity, and Bernard was more than happy to pull that guy down to earth.
Now, the adrenaline was turning into a heavy, intoxicating tension.
Tim slammed the bathroom cabinet shut, he's gripping a bottle of cleaning alcohol and a cotton pad, he's gripping it very hard it looks like it hurts, surprising it doesn't.
His hands were shaking a bit —not from fear, but from the frustration, anger and thrill that always came with Bernard.
He stomped back into the living room, ready to murder his boyfriend if needed, he saw Bernard was sitting on there sofa, his jacket half-peeled off one shoulders, looking completely unfazed by the split skin on his knuckles or the red, crimson, blood on his jaw and lips.
Without asking, Tim went right Infront of Bernard, he parted his knees, and sat down directly in Bernard’s lap. He settled against him, straddling his thighs, locking him in place, making sure Bernard cant move.
"You are a literal maniac." Tim hissed, his voice a sharp, poisonous whisper as he poured a big amount of cleaning alcohol onto the cotton pad.
He didn't give a warning. He pressed the damp cotton pad hard against the split right on Bernard's bottom lip. "An absolute, brainless idiot. Do you ever think? Even for a single fucking second?" Tim hissed, fully ready to kick Bernard out outside on his answer.
Bernard didn't even flinch at the sting of the alcohol. Instead, his bruised hands immediately came up, wrapping around Tim’s waist, squeezing until there was no space left between their bodies. His emerald, green eyes locked onto Tim’s ocean, blue eyes.
Completely missing the regret In his eyes, their only filled only with a dark, suffocating obsession and jealousy."Your mine," Bernard murmurs, his voice thick and rough from the bar and the shouting. The blood on his lips made the word heavy. "You're mine, doll. Totally mine."
"Shut up," Tim snapped, he was mad -furious even- about what Bernard did, though his finger's softened as he tilted Bernard's chin up to get a better look at the damage. "You got us kicked out of the only decent Bar on the block because you couldn't keep your hands to yourself you psyxho. He was just a pathetic drunk. I told him no. I had it handled."
"He touched your arm," Bernard countered back, his grip tightening on Tim’s hips, his fingers digging into the fabric of Tim's jeans. He tilted his head, completely ignoring the lecture, staring at Tim's lips with eagerness "Looked at you like he could just take a piece of you. Nobody looks at you. Nobody gets to touch what's mine. I'll make him regret it if he tries it again."
"You're insane. A psycho," Tim muttered, but his heart was beating violently. He wiped away another smear of blood, his thumb brushing against the corner of Bernard's mouth.
As Bernard parted his lips to speak, the metallic vision of his tongue piercing caught the dim, white light of the living room.
Tim’s breath hitched. His anger, sharp and loud just a second ago, instantly melted into something far deeper and way more toxic. He was obsessed with that piece of metal. He loved the weight of it, loved the tase of it.
Bernard noticed the shift instantly. A dark, arrogant, smug smirk tugged at his still cut lip. He slid his tongue out just a fraction, letting the silver stud gleam between his teeth, a clear bait. "Call me whatever you want, Doll," Bernard whispered, his breath hot against Tim's skin. "Say it again. Call me an idiot while you sit right there. You aren't going anywhere. You're *stuck* with me."
"I hate you," Tim whispered back, a total lie, his eyes completely glued to Bernard's mouth now. He dropped the bloody cotton pad on the table.
His hands flew to the sides of Bernard's face, his fingers catching on the three silver studs lining the earlobe and lower of Bernard's left ear, he tapped the piercings with his ring finger, letting the diamond ring hit the piercings, tilting his head exactly where he wanted it.
"Lie to me again," Bernard murmured, as he leans into the touch "Tell me who you belong to."
"You, you lunatic," Tim answered sharply with no hesitation, and then he pressed his mouth down against Bernard's.
The kiss wasn't soft or sweet it was intense, metallic, with teeth crashing, and violently desperate.
Tim didn't care about the split lip; he pressed hard, opening his mouth and letting his tongue slide inside to hunt for that familiar cold, silver bar.
The moment his tongue clicked against Bernard’s piercing, he stayed their he adored the taste the metallic cold taste.
He gripped Bernard's hair, pulling hard and deliberately biting down on the metal stud, trapping Bernard's tongue between his teeth.
Bernard groaned deep in his chest, purely satisfied.
He hoisted Tim up higher on his lap, pinning him against his chest so tightly it was harder to breathe. "You're mine Tim." Bernard murmurs against Tim's lip as he trailed kisses down to Tim's neck
He didn't care about the pain in his mouth or the mess they were making.
The guy at the bar didn't exist anymore. The world outside didn't exist. There was only this toxic loop of ownership, and neither of them had any intention of breaking out of it.
