“Ah Logan, there you are-”
Logan paused and looked up from the document that he was begrudgingly perusing as he walked down the hall to the kitchen. “Morning Ororo, what's up?”
The mistress of the elements smiled ruefully at the other hero. “I just wanted to inform you that Rogue seems to have caught whatever has been going around the school, just in case she and Nightcrawler had any plans.”
“Too late for that, unfortunately,” Logan stated, with a mildly irritated look on his face, as the two continued the walk towards the kitchen.
“Oh?”
“Yeah, the elf woke up with a low grade fever this morning. Tried ta brush it off, but his usual coordination dropped off to a drunk monkey.”
She winced in sympathy. “Poor boy. How did he catch it, though? I thought Rogue was supposed to be doing extra studying this week to fix her grades in Scott's class?”
Logan shook his head ruefully. “Dunno for sure, but I have a creepin’ feeling someone hasn't been taking her studies as seriously as she's been saying.”
—
“Ah'm so sorry, Kurt!” Rogue cried upon seeing her friend curled up under a blanket and sipping tea on his bed. “Ah didn't me ta getcha sick, too!!”
“Ma-”
She threw herself onto the bed next to him as Logan left, rolling his eyes, to grab the blanket she'd forgotten in her rush to make sure Kurt was alright. “If ah'd known I wouldn'ta snuck in ta chat last night…”
“Marie-”
“An’ now here ya are, sick as a dog, too. Oh, you're such an idjit, Anna Marie-”
“It's okay, Marie.” His accent seemed even thicker with his hoarse voice. “I'm ahh I’m fi-ACHOO!”
BAMF
And Rogue froze. For a good solid five seconds her fever addled brain froze before the reality of the situation hit her.“Ohhhh cheese grits…” she breathed before scrambling off the bed, dashing to the door, shouting, “LOGAN!!”
“What?” it was a genuine question from the grumpy man who had barely started walking away, but it still sounded more like a statement, “Wait-” he sniffed before snarling, “Where's-”
“He teleported!!”
“What!?”
Rogue grimaced at that, but quickly remedied it with her quick interjection. “It wasn't on purpose or nuthin’!! He- he sneezed and it triggered his teleportin’ somehow!!”
“Gah- elf!!” Quickly he thought as loudly as he could, ‘JEAN! CHUCK! This is a code red! Nightcrawler's sneezes activate his teleportation.’
‘Oh, I am aware,’ he heard Jean's mildly disgruntled thought, ‘and so is the whole class…’
“Great,” Logan huffed, bringing his hand up to rub the bridge of his nose.
“What?”
He then dragged his hand down his face and started quickly walking towards the classrooms. “The fuzzy blue cat's sneezing himself outta the bag.”
“ ‘xcuse me?” Rogue asked, as she tried to keep pace with the agitated man walking ahead of her.
“Kurt teleported himself to Jean's class.” The two started dashing down the stairs with Rogue only slowing to sneeze or blow her nose.
“Oh gosh! We gotta go get him!”
‘He still there?’ He projected hopefully.
‘No, he teleported shortly after…’
“Guess we gotta find him the old fashioned way, Rogue.”
“Oh Kurt…” she mourned as they passed the kitchen and made their way to the classrooms.
And if on cue, screams erupted from a few doors down.

Bobby had been having a bad day. He was getting over the last vestiges of whatever plague was making its way around the manor, he woke up late, all that had been left for breakfast was Cheerios (no milk, though), and even worse, Professor Xavier had been getting on his case for skipping class, so here he was, sitting through the most boring lecture ever. It was a true talent, Professor Xavier's ability to drone on endlessly. Maybe that was his true mutant ability-wait- did his eyebrow just quirk up-

And quite suddenly, hell broke loose as Nightcrawler, the unofficial terror of his dreams (not intentionally, of course, but their first meeting wasn't exactly…ideal), landed entirely ungracefully on top of the Professor's desk.
“Oh my-”
“Professor!”
“AHHHH!” “WHO ARE YOU?!” “I KNEW IT!”
“Hey-” Bobby started to say, but the blue kid sneezed and was gone again in a puff of brimstone and sulfur.
Not five seconds later, however, found Wolverine and Rogue, who was supposed to be resting, slamming the door wide open.
“Where is he?”
Professor Xavier shook his head ruefully. “Gone already, unfortuna-”
More screaming from down the hall interrupted him, and Wolverine and Rogue were already racing out of the classroom.

Scott was having a great day. He managed to get over the Institute’s cold in almost record time, he woke up feeling great, he got eggs and bacon for breakfast, and best of all, his lesson plans were all on schedule. Some of the kids seemed a little bored, but that was alright because even Jubilee was only five minutes late today and she had coffee and she even gave one to him since Jean had already gotten herself a coffee and so he got the one she usually got for Jean. In a thoroughly unprecedented set of affairs, today, everything was looking up Cyclops-
Is what he was thinking right when his line of sight was suddenly cut off, his glasses knocked off, and something soft and fuzzy tackled him to the ground.
“ACH! Mr. Summers!” A hoarse but familiarly German accent cried. “I am so so sah-ah-ACHOO!”
BAMF! THUNK!
And then he was choking on the scent of sulfur and smoke while the cacophony of students in his class shouted, suddenly quite alert.
“Nightcrawler?!” What on Earth was going on? He thought Nightcrawler was only supposed to teleport in the danger room. “Gah, my glasses-”
“Here, Velma. I'd ask where where he went but-”
“Logan?” Scott quickly put on his glasses, pointedly ignoring the “Velma” comment and the snickering in the class. “Yeah, sorry. The plague got him, too?”
“Yup, thanks to little miss butter and crawdads.” Logan nodded towards the red-faced and coughing Rogue catching her breath next to him, doing the opposite of resting.
“Hey!” She managed to cough out between breaths, “It's crawfish.”
“Not important.” Logan snarked, rolling his eyes. “Jean says Ororo spotted him outside. Later, Scott.”
“Bye, Mr. Summers!!”
And the two rushed out of the completely derailed classroom, destroying any hope of getting class back in session.
—
Stopping her class and putting Piotr in charge of a study hall while she flew above the mansion, searching for a little blue teleporter was not exactly how Ororo was planning on spending her day, but it also wasn't the worst interruption she'd ever suffered, so she didn't really mind all that much, not to mention, she was rather fond of the skittish young teen. It was on her fourth go’round of grounds that she finally spotted some dissipating smoke and a slumped little blue form under a tree.
‘I've spotted him, Jean, please let Logan and Rogue know.’
‘Oh thank goodness! Thank you, Ororo!’
Ororo smiled to herself as she gently landed next to Nightcrawler, however, her smile quickly found itself bending into a frown as she noticed just how still the normally jumpy young mutant was. Carefully, she quickly took stock of the situation and the boy, grimacing at the large egg that was quickly forming on his forehead.
‘Jean, would you please let Logan and Rogue know that I will be taking young Nightcrawler to the infirmary? I don't believe it is too serious, however, it seems he may have hit his head, and he has yet to regain consciousness.’
‘Eesh, yes, I can pass that along. Thank you again, Ororo.’
‘No need to thank me. There are much worse ways to spend my time.’
And gently once more, she carefully picked up the svelte form, making sure his tail did not drag along the ground, made her way back into the mansion, taking the boy to the medbay.

The first thing Kurt noticed was that his forehead was upset at him. The second was that the rest of his head wasn't that happy with him, either. The third was that there was an interesting and small weight resting on his stomach.
“HAH! GO FISH!”
Startled, Kurt quickly shot up, unintentionally causing the quite heated game of Go Fish to tumble off of his stomach, and in turn, startling Logan and a sniffly Rogue.
“Kurt!”
A very small and relieved smile graced the hardened features of the man next to him. “Glad to see ya’ up, ‘crawler.”
Kurt placed a hand on his head and squinted his eyes in an attempt to relieve the building headache. “What hap-” his eyes snapped wide open, “mein Gott… Logan I-”
“It's alright-” Logan was interrupted by Rogue sneezing across the bed from him. “Wasn't no one's fault, except maybe Sneezy over here.”
“Ah said I was sorry!” Rogue moaned all the running about having exasperated her own cold. “But truly Kurt, I'm so sorry ‘bout all this.”
Gently reaching over and squeezing her gloved hand, he did his best not to shrink into himself as he turned to Logan and asked, “...now what?”
“Well,” the hero shrugged as he crossed his arms and leaned back, “the Professor seems to think that this is as good a time as any to start introducing you to everyone.”
“But-” he interrupted, winced, and struggled even harder not to shrink into himself. Judging by the looks he was receiving, he wasn't succeeding nearly as well as he hoped.
Logan placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “Slowly, in increments. Like a lunch with everyone here or there. Or joining a class or two a couple a’ times-”
“With me, a’course,” Rogue cheerfully interrupted him.
“Shouldn't be too much, but for now, at least, you can rest up with Rogue.”
The two teenagers made excited eye contact. “Wah-hoo! Hear that, Kurt? We can hang out all day!!”
A big matching grin grew on his own face. “Alri-ah-ah- achoo!”
BAMF
“Mother f-”
“Jiminy Cricket! Not again!!”
