A New Addition

Summary:

Andy Brown and Linda Abbott welcome a child together.

Work Text:

A year ago Andy Brown thought he and Linda Abbott were over. He had broken up with her after Ephram got scared of their relationship. Ephram got comfortable with them dating, however, and they got back together. A month later Linda found out she was pregnant. Four months later they were married and four months after that they were at the hospital welcoming the newest member of their family.

"I can't believe I'm here again." Andy commented holding the newborn close. The instant love that he felt Ephram and Delia hit him.
"You aren't having any regrets, are you?" Linda asked worried.
"No, no of course not. I just never thought I'd have a newborn again. But I'm happy really."
"I love you."
"I love you too." Andy repeated kissing her.

"Dad?" Ephram called quietly from the doorway when he and Delia had entered the room. "The nurse said we could come in. Are we interrupting?"
"No, you're not interrupting. We asked the nurse to get you guys." Andy reassured. "Come in and meet your sister, Carlee Elizabeth."
"It's a girl? Yay!" Delia cheered while Ephram just stared at the baby.
"What do you think Ephram?" Andy asked concerned at his lack of response.
"She's so small."
"Do you want to hold her?"
"Yeah!" both Ephram and Delia replied.
"Okay Ephram you first." once Ephram had sat down Andy passed Carlee to him. "Hold her head." he instructed sitting down next to him.
"Hi Carlee." Ephram greeted.
"Did you know that you were the first one, besides your mom and I, to hold Delia?"
"I was?" Ephram asked surprised.
"You were, so it's only fitting that you're the first to hold Carlee."
"Yes, you can hold her." Andy took Carlee from Ephram and passed her to Delia. Watching Ephram and Delia accept Carlee so fast Andy couldn't help but feel blessed to have the three children in his life.
