Work Text:
Kaveh was fuming; he was utterly sick and tired of this client who kept changing his mind. How on earth was he supposed to successfully complete his project if his client spent all his time modifying things? He jumped when he felt a presence right behind his back.
Alhaitham, the "Grand Sage" of Sumeru...
He was undoubtedly the most respected Alpha in Sumeru.
A tad arrogant, perhaps, but he was nonetheless incredibly fair in his decisions. Despite all that, Kaveh couldn't stand his stiff, uptight attitude!
Alhaitham simply stared at him for a few seconds in silence.
Everyone knew Kaveh,a spunky little Omega who had always fought tooth and nail to make a place for himself in this world.
A few years back, he had graduated from Kshahrewar with flying colors, which was a feat in itself.
It was exceptionally rare for Omega students to be accepted into the Akademiya, unless they had wealthy parents or were incredibly gifted and intelligent. Kaveh undeniably ticked the second box. Alhaitham knew that Kaveh held little to no affection for him; he was fully aware of the image he projected.
Yet, the admiration Alhaitham felt for Kaveh was second to none.
The architect's mental fortitude was admirable; he refused to let anyone dictate his behavior and knew exactly how to dismiss the taunts of other Alphas. But despite that courage, the scent of withered flowers would sometimes pierce through...
Alhaitham couldn't help but secretly praise his beauty.
Kaveh possessed a certain grace in his every movement, which Alhaitham loved to catch out of the corner of his eye whenever their paths crossed.
Perhaps one day he would find the courage to court him... Yes, he had to.
He would never allow another Alpha to beat him to it.
