Chapter Text

She tired

Like really tried. She is losing blood from different parts, but mostly from her head and eye. But she had blood on her that hasn't hers. Dead echidna all lay around the area of where she was fighting them. 

Wait She remembers as she looks out to where her son went into the ring. She drops to her knees. I needed to get to him but I gave him every ring I had. She thinks in despar. She forces herself to get up and walk. To find a way to get to her son. 

She reeks of blood iron and sweat, it made her want to throw up so bad. She swayed side to side as she was walking while covering her left wing that was bleeding badly. She couldn't think a lot, if she did it would most likely make her headache worse. It felt like someone was hitting her head with a big hammer. But she kept walking.

Walking. She didn't know where to go, she just needed to walk. She remembers during the fight, one of the echidna warriors hit her on the head pretty hard with a war club which made the headache worse. I’m sure that would cause any issues she thought hopefully.

Her body ached and yelled for rest, but carried on until her body won and she fell to the ground. She didn’t know how long she lay there for. Time was going by slowly for her. 

That’s weird. I always knew what time it was or how much time had passed, she thinks. But she brushes it off and forces herself to actively tell what time it was. It’s midnight. She answered in her head at last. She lay for a few more minions. It felt nice to rest, because now she knew she was hungry and thirsty. 

Her breath was getting more shallow with the seconds going by. I’m really going to pass out and die… even with everything I have done she wonders … It’s the echidna tribe's fault. If they were not greedy I would been with my family and my sweet son, Sonic. Damn the echidnas forever, if I live. I make sure everyone sees you and any living echidnas to be damned and hunted down. Her blood was boiling which made her more sick. Her need to throw up made her start to retching. She wanted to cry, so she did. She sobs and sobs while dry heaving. After a bit, she was able to stop. She was sitting on her knees, looking down on the ground with her hand supporting her. 

Then something appeared in front of her, from her good eye she could see it’s a white portal. Without thinking, she force herself to go to the portal. With her right wing she reaches out and walks into the portal, trusting it. Not her best choice she made. But it’s a choice. 

On the other side, She wichs at the sudden bright lights that she uses her right good wing to cover the light from her line of vision. 

“HA! IT WORKED! MY INVENTION WORKED!” a voice rang out. She lowered her wing down to see a man that was a scientist and a big mustshal. He’s a human She notes in her head. He was laughing very loudly which for some reason annoyed her. 

The man stopped laughing but was still smiling very slyly. “Tell me, Owl i’m guessing, what is your name and what universe did you come from? If you are smart to know what i’m talking about” the man goated. 

She thought for a sec which was weird, to think about your name. But it came back to her. 

“My name is longclaw. The last owl of the owl tribe" is what longclaw said at last. “And may i ask, what you mean by ‘universe?’” she questioned the man. The man laughed, “Oh, longclaw, did you not know there exist different universes that may be the same and or different each one? Like right now you are in my universe and no longer in yours” The man mock Longclaw. Longclaw ponder about it and ask the man something.

“Does this said univers still have a Sonic.”. The man mood change, “Oh does your have one? I should have know. That pesky rat is always dysiong my plans alongside his annoying friends. Like his fox brother or that damn echidna”. Longclaw freezes at the word echida, they are still alive she thought while the man was ranting about always losing to them why would this world version of my son would team up with them?. This question led to Longclaw asking the man about them having a master emeralds. “The master emeralds? Of course we have one but the hothead echidna keeps me from getting it”. Longclaw blood was hot at this monet, and mix with not able to think. She made choice. “Let me help you. I will help you defeat the echidnal tribe as they took everything from me. Because i wanted their living to feel what i felt and then i will get back i wanted” She tells the man. The man huffed, “What do you offer me because if it’s noting then i will send you back where you come from” the man tells longclaw. Longclaw answer the man, “ I will give support and if everything goes right. Sonic won’t brother as much”. The man thought for a sec. “Fine, I guess you can join me and my emberined” the man said. Longclaw just nodded. “Just one more thing, what is your name” Longclaw asks the man. 

“What! You don’t know my name! It’s Dr. Ivo Eggman robtink! And to not waste time, my name can be Eggman” He yells at her. Making her headache hurt more. But she pushed the feeling away. Soon she finds herself being treaded and soon being told by Eggman how he will use her in his plan to take over the world, but what Longclaw cares about is getting her son back. Even if she is in a new universe with a different Sonic. Any Sonic will do.

Chapter Text

Sonic was running though the city, stopping Dr. Eggman Army. He made just in time to save some people and his buddy, Tails. “Is everyone ok?” Sonic asked, “we are, Thanks to you. But you were cutting it close thought” Tails replied. Sonic reply back with a smirk “Well you know me, That’s is just how i roll”. Then Sonic went to face off Eggman, “Lets finish this off for the day” is what Sonic tells Eggman. Eggman laughs, “Oh today is where you will be finished off. I have working on making a powerful lifeform". Sonic then tried to spindash into the Doctor but then someone hit him to the side before he could. Sonic looked to Knuckles was the one, Sonic was shock but something was off, there was glitching a bit. ‘Knuckles what are you doing!? Is it you that egghead is talking about!?” He questioned the echidna. But as he did, more came like Zavok and Chaos. Then what seems to be a mobilan, an owl mobian to be exact, comes down from the air some out of nowhere. She was wearing some Silver owl mask with one side has a red eye and on the other just black. Without much thought Sonic went in to attack but this owl has avoided it. Sonic looked confused, he could hear Tails saying that this owl is faster than him. The owl goes back into the air without using her wings. Where she start to attack after Sonic tried to spindash into them. The battle was tough as Zavok and the others that showed up with the owl started to fight against Sonic too.

“Tails, little help here?” Sonic yelled with a distressed tone out while getting up “Need to know how to stop them”. Tails yelled back “I’m working on it but something is off, the readings are all over the place”. The owl went to attack Sonic more. More and more, it seemed like there was a clear winner.

And this time, it's not Sonic. 

Sonic's world went dark as the last thing he saw was the owl’s shoes and her standing over him.

Chapter Text

Sonic didn't know how long he was out for. But being in a cage meant that he was out for a while. It was cold and the floor of the cage was hard too. Sonic got up and looked out to see where he was. 

Must be in one of Eggheads buildings he thought when he saw the Eggman logo. 

But then Sonic hears a voice. “I see that you're awake… I was getting worried for a sec”.

Sonic start to look where the voice was coming from. His eyes landed at the owl that attacked him from before. “Hey it’s you! So working with Dr.eggman. Just know that he doesn't work well with others” Sonic teas. It was quite before the owl started to laugh, Sonic smirk. “I see that Eggman finally found someone with some humor. Why do you teach him a thing or two, because he won’t listen to me” he went on. The owl let out a chucked before finally saying something, “I don’t know if l’m really funny since i never learn to and to be honest, i’m glad for your concern about me working with the doctor” she sigh before counting “But we are only working together for bit, after he taken over the world i will no longer work with him as we only have small deal”. Sonic smirk “A deal? What might that be?” he ask. He hoped the owl was up to answering some questions, might as well while Sonic has the chance to get info very easily. The owl seems like to easy person to talk with.

The owl smiles, but in a soft way. Not in a sly as he thought, but what the owl said shocked him more. 

“Me and Dr. lvo agreed that i will help him with taking over the world and he will help me take back what once lost and make the ones feel what i felt when they took everything away from. Which is you and the last echidna”. Sonic just look in shock and then let out a nervous laugh. “What? Me? Look owl i don’t know what you talking and I'm pretty sure Knuckles is on your side too” Sonic rebutted. But the owl laughed, “Oh dear, that echidna isn't on our side” she replied. Ok now Sonic was confused but then the ruby that was on the owl chest glowed, with a wave of the owl wings. What seems to be like knuckles appears. The owl walk to the Cage and stops just a few steps from the cage. “Who knew there were other powerful gems out there. I didn’t but the doctor thought i was the right person for it. That’s how i got this ruby” The owl said as she points to the ruby that was in the middle of her chest. 

Sonic had never seen it before, maybe Tails or Rouge knew of it. I should ask them once I get out of here Sonic planned in his head. “A ruby? What's so special about it?” Sonic asks. “Well as you see this ruby allows me to create things with only my mind. Which, to be honest is most like the master emerald” the owl confessed. Like the master emerald? That’s not good. But I don't think the master emerald can create clones of people, Sonic thought. But then he wonders why the owl is making a clone of his friend Knuckles. “There is one thing i’m wondering about” Sonic asks the owl, the owl smiles. “Well ask my dear” the owl said, Sonic ignored the dear part. “Why my friend, Knuckles of all people? What did he do” Sonic asks. That’s when the owl's face darkened and the mood changed.

“Because his people took the lives of my people and cause me to send you away” is what the owl answer. Her tone was mixed with hatred and sorrowed. Sonic frowned, “ok the lives part kinda makes sense but me? Lady i don’t think we meet before all this”. All the owl did was sigh, “... I will tell anything once the time is right. For now I have things to do”. Sonic was annoyed with that, welp i should bounce out of here Sonic decided in his head. “Well, what’s your name again?” Sonic said. “Infinite” infinite said, which Sonic thought that was cool name. “Well, infinite. I need to bounce so are we going to do this the easy way or the fun way” Sonic said in jolly matter. There was quite before Infinite laughed. “Oh sweetie, I'm not letting you go. Your here to stay”. Sonic cuckold, “Me? In one spot, I don’t do stay. When I wanted to go, i go” he counters. But Infinite did’t reacted, not in the way Sonic wanted. “Oh i know that, always on the run. But I'm sorry, you are studying here and that’s final". Before Sonic could counter, Infinite had made the cage up into the air. “What the?” Sonic shouted, Infinite then start to walk somewhere with control of the cage. 

They thought the halls and reach a door with a sign that said, Prison. “I wanted to put you somewhere nicer but the damn doctor was hellbent on this. But I was able to get something for you like sheets and a pillow" Infinite inform Sonic. The doors open and the room had cells with some with bars and others with glass. Gala, i need to get out of here! Sonic thinks. Just then as they were passing some cells, Sonic see someone. A modian with red quills. 

Knuckles!?

Chapter Text

It was knuckles!

Sonic couldn't believe it, he was in one of the cells with just bars and a metal bed. The ethical had cuff changes to him on his neck, wist and naked. And he wasn't look good either. His quills were dirty and some had fallen on the ground, he had scares all over his body. Some were freshly new and others that were healing. Sonic couldn't see his face since Knuckles was looking down. “Wait. What is going on? Why is knuckles here?” Sonic asked in a worried tone. Infinite looked over to the cell the red echidna was in. “You shouldn't worry about him. His tribe has done crimes that are unforgettable… it’s none of you concerned” Infinite said as she started to walk aging. “None of my concern?! He’s my friend!? You better tell me!” Sonic demanded. Infinite huffed, Sonic thinks that she is getting annoyed. “... My dear. When I say it’s none of your concern. It’s none of your concern, " she tells Sonic. The blue hedgehog clenched his jaw out of anger. “Hey! Don’t tell me what to do!” Sonic tells the owl “You know the more we talk, the more I learn that you're a weird asshole”. 

Then the cage fall down. Sonic went face first and when he looked up, he saw an angry Owl. As much as you can tell when someone is wearing a mask that covers most of their face. “Do you realize I'm your mother? Nothing about that echidna is of your attention. You two should not be ‘friends’. Besides, you are not going to be near him so stop asking about him” Infinite said in a high voice. Not yelling. Sonic tightened his muscles, he felt like she was going to do an attack. 

But nothing came. The owl just made the cage float again and continued to walk with the cage following. Soon they reached a cell that was just a little bit better than the rest of the cells. It had a glass wall and inside Sonic could see that Infinite was right about there being a cover and a pillow. Infinite put the cage down then used her, in Sonic's opinion, weird powers to put him into the cell. “Do you really think this is going to stop me?” Sonic mocked to infinite. “... I’m your mother, so what  do you think” Infinite answered. “I think that ruby is messing up your mind” Sonic jabbed, Infield laughed. “My mind is perfectly fine. Now if you let me, I have things to do. We will spend some more time later” Infinite said before leaving.

Once she left and Sonic started to pact in the cell. Ok good she is gone now. What’s up with her calling me Son and saying she’s my mom. Whatever, I will get out of here soon. I bet by tomorrow Sonic thought. Getting out of here with knuckles, since he is also here, should be easy. Eggman probably built this place and every time the doctor built a building, it was the same layout. 

Yeah by tomorrow he will be out running.

Chapter Text

Three months

That is how long Sonic has been there, trapped. It was starting to get to him, he had nowhere to run. Being in a cell does give you lot’s of more to run. Meanwhile there is also the fact that a crazy owl is trying to make him her son or something. Even making clones of his friends, making them say things that he knows they will never say to him. Just so he will be like a son or something.

Maybe she had a kid that she lost? Sonic theorized. But he was only going off on how infinite was acting towards him, like how she have never outright hurt him even stopping Eggman from torturing him. At was only when the owl was out that eggman did any harm. Hey at least it makes my situation more better at least Sonic thought before remembering something, Can’t say for knuckles though. Knuckles was here too but unlike Sonic, Infinite was actually really torturing him. Going off to even do in front of Sonic. Sonic stomach hurl at memory, it was a shock how knuckles was even alive. One time Infinite had outright clawed and choked Knuckles right in front of Sonic, knuckles was bleeding badly. Sonic tried to save knuckles but Infinite had that ruby, he still didn’t know the name but the owl had always used on him when he try to get knuckles. Sonic puts his hands to his face and sigh. At this point, i don’t even mind someone saving me he thought if it means saving knuckles and getting out of here. Man, how did Eggman find people like her. After a bit when Sonic walk back and forth, he hears a loud bam. He wiped his head towards the window and saw no action in the area he can see. His heart sank. “Oh knuckles” he mutter. He does’t want imagination what was happening, which at moment knuckles was being pin to the ground by big owl. Knuckles was trying make sense and planning a way out when infinite had caught him off guard. Infinite then threw Knuckles to the wall, his body ached. He tried to get off from the floor but his arms gave out,

“I thought echidna pushed the pain away until their last breath. That’s how your kind terrorized and killed everything they wanted.” Infinite mocked. Knuckles glared at the owl as he shakily got up before Infinite had hit him again and threw him to the other side of the room. He gasp for air, this fight was making him feel more fatigued. Infinite then summons a bunch of daggers and makes them fly towards Knuckles. They entered his skin, piercing pain as he bled. Knuckles don’t know how even if they are made of illusions can do damage that can kill him. But the one thing that always puzzled Knuckles is how the owl knows this dead clan and talks like she knew them yet in a hateful way. Saying that his clan killed her people, because they were keeping the master emerald from the wrong hands.

But my clan had always the master emerald to protect Knuckles ponder when he first learned of that info. Now after some time had passed, he was questioning his clan history. The last thing he saw was Infinite flying towards him and kicking him to the head, Causing him to start bleeding from the head.

Chapter Text

Knuckles woke up in the same old cell after what just happened. His own hell, his head had stopped bleeding. He wondered how much time had passed, minutes? Days? A week? He doesn't know. He gets up from the ground and heads to the metal bed, if you can call it a bed. It was more over sized shelves than a bed. He takes a seat and rubs his head. The blood was all crusty and dry but it still left a new mark on his grovels. His fur was very matted, full of dry blood and dirt. He puts his hands to his face.

God, I must look really stupid he thinks. You would think that too if you were knuckles. He is always known as the strong one, having everyone's back, supporting them while supporting him. Now he was being slowly killed to death while there was someone else who needed him. Sonic he remembers. He was pretty shocked when he first saw sonic but at the same time not really. It's just, why is the owl treating him more better. Don’t get him wrong, Sonic was still hurting like knuckles. It was just on a lighter scale. Knuckles sighs, before putting his head back to the wall. His tired eyes looked up at the ceiling. He missed the clear sky back on Angle island. Before that Day. He shakes his head to get rid of the feeling, it hurts so much. He wondered if any of his friends ever felt like this. Did Sonic never feel like this after every time he knocked down?

…

He was thinking about Sonic again. Always that damn hedgehog he thought. He always had this issue, thinking of Sonic when something happens to him. Could be big or small; it started when he first met Sonic and after he realized he was tricked by Dr. Eggman. He and Sonic got along really good, he was Sonic's second friend ever. While Sonic was his first. So sue him when he realized while back those feelings were now mixed with romance feelings. With Sonic, it was easy to get those feelings. There is Amy, then for a bit Jet that he and Sonic dated Knuckles looks back on. I just don’t understand, then I wasn't really taught about feelings. Only how to be a warrior of the Knuckles clan Knuckles ponder. This led him back thinking about what the owl had been talking about. He knows that his clan did hurt people but that was many years ago, the owl doesn't look like she had lived for that long. Maybe there was another major event that happened after? That could be the case. I will need to look at some of the written ruins he plans. Knuckles was lucky that there were still existing ruins and books of his clan history. But a lot of the knuckles clan history was gone. Knuckles sigh as he crisscrosses his legs. Something is up, there are things the owl wasn't saying. But sooner or later, they will come up and then everyone will see who’s in the right and who’s in the wrong. 

For now, he needs to survive.
