“What did you do to her?!” Xula exclaimed as she set eyes on Loaf, who was loafing on the rug with a massive pink bow around her neck.
“Isn’t she adorable?!” Kyla bounced and nestled her face in her hands.
“The bow is almost as big as she is, Kyky, how can she even move?” Xula motioned to the runt palcat, who gave a small ‘mrew’ with a look that begged for the bow to be removed.
“Awe, yeah I guess it is a lil big isn’t it?” Kyla tilted her head and tapped a knuckle to her lips.
“Yeah, just a bit.” Xula sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
“Oh do you remember our birthdays Xuxu?”
"Uh, don't think so, why?"
“Oh, because I wanted to give you a birthday muffin!" Kyla's beaming smile faded from view as the words sank in…

She was staring at a birthday muffin with a single candle on it that Kyla was holding out to her with a grin. ‘Happy Birthday! I'm glad you said something Xuxu or I wouldn't have gotten this made in time!’ Xula chuckled ‘I wish you'd remember our birthdays a bit better, you even forget your own. Mine's the first day of Spring and yours is the last day of Summer. Can't get much easier than that!’ ‘I'll remember someday, I promise! Here, make a wish and enjoy your birthday muffin, it's your favorite!’ ‘Thanks Kyky…’ |

The inn returned to her vision and she gave Kyla a big hug.
“Im sorry Xuxu! I didn't mean to send you into a memory…” Kyla sqeaked and squeezed her sister.
“It's okay, it was… kind of sweet.” Xula sighed and relayed the memory to her.
