The Primordial ‘Master’ of Nazarick

Chapter 1: Nazarick Descends

Chapter Text

~Great Tomb of Nazarick~

With only minutes left on the clock before the server’s total shut down, two members, Herohero and Gudao, were present at the Round Table Room for a final meeting between Guild Members.

Though the latter had sent the invites to other Inactive Members, including Momonga, due to circumstances in the real world. They couldn’t attend while Gudao, who appears human, was wearing an all-black suit and pants, a dark gray collar shirt with a black tie, and unkempt black hair.

Under normal guild regulations of Ainz Ooal Gown, Gudao’s human appearance would’ve been a clear violation. But in reality, he possessed a higher unique racial class beyond a Greater Doppelganger, and his human form, which resembled his teenage naivety in the real world, was something he considered familiar compared to the appearance of a heteromorphic race.

How they’ve met him was through a series of rumors about a Doppelganger possessing exceptional knowledge and skill in PVP and PVE, and their exploits from punishing the unjustly PKers to aiding the misfortune Players regardless of their chosen species.

Ainz Ooal Gown scouted Gudao, but ultimately met him during his Journey in Helheim and invited him after fulfilling certain parameters of other Guild Rules, and many supported the movement of making him an official guild member.

The forty-one members of Ainz Ooal Gown grew fond of Gudao’s company as both their fellow Guild Member, YGGDRASIL Player, and Close Friend because of all his experience and unwavering mental fortitude from the harsh life of this dystopian humanity. But all things came to an end when members started retiring. Momonga handed his trust, leadership, and Nazarick over to Gudao’s trusted tutelage after an immense workload had overwhelmed his schedule, and what was once a lively Guild of Heteromorphic Races turned silent as two attending members sat upon the Round Table of the 9th Floor.

“It certainly has been quite some time since this guild was made, huh, Gudao?” Herohero, the only visiting member, remarked with a bitter but lonely tone in his voice, “Even though the game is reaching its end as we speak,”

“I agree. Even though I’m still a recent member of this Guild for the past two years, it was truly a wonderful time we’ve spent, Herohero-san.” Gudao shared a smiling emoticon since the game lacked facial expression and mouth movements, “But how Momonga-san puts his trust in the Guild and Nazarick to me after he signed off for his work. It feels rather unfair and overwhelming,”

“Don’t be so modest, Gudao. Everyone thinks you’re just as capable as Momonga, and we really appreciate you for everything you’ve done for us,” Herohero expressed with his humble opinions of him, “Not to mention the fun you’ve put through every player in your ten-year Journey as the [Arbiter God of War].”

“Thank you, Herohero-san. That means a lot, even from you,” Gudao thanked with an emoticon that matches his sheepish expression,

Herohero deliberately sighed through the voice chat before turning to Gudao for the final time, “I’d best be going now, Gudao. If there’s a chance we get a sequel, I would like you to have you play with us again,”

“I’d like that too, stay safe, Herohero-san.” With that, Herohero signed out, and Gudao remains as the sole occupant of Nazarick.

But what comes after is Gudao planting his elbows against the table, crossing his fingers together, and pressing his forehead against them as he let out an unsteady sigh despite showing a lack of change in expression.

Gudao is his player’s name; his true name is Ritsuka Fujimaru, the Last Master of Chaldea. After the Lostbelts, he somehow landed in another timeline with Humanity’s dystopian reality of the year 2138 with no means of return.

Life seemed harsh and devoid of everything he stood for, humanity’s survival, but when he came to play YGGDRASIL. It was something highly reminiscent of the Singularities and Lostbelts while finally experiencing the life of a regular teenager.

He’s made many friends, just as he made many enemies; he explored the Realms of YGGDRASIL with little to no consequence in terms of progression, witnessed and withheld incredible events without the pretext of danger to his life, and joined one of the most prestigious guilds at the end of his journey.

Now, he is met with something reminiscent of every end, the crippling loneliness of friends now gone, and the heavy burden of guardianship of the Guild and their base. But in his thoughts, this one was vastly different whenever he returned after every Rayshift and every end of the Singularity and Lostbelt.

He truly held something in their memories that wouldn’t be erased, and it was a charge he’d gladly take to his heart until the Game’s End.

After he stands from his seat, he goes to where the Guild Weapon floats, [The Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown]. The materials to make it were expensive and time-consuming, but his aid in its creation made it easier for them. It was also modified with some features heavily reminiscent of the Magic and Mechanics, similar to Chaldea and the Mage Association.

Though he wasn’t much of a man in the technical field, his fellow guildmates somehow understood the concept and implied it in their own way, rather than as a standard feature of both organizations. As a result, through trial and error, it was modified to ‘summon’ spells and creatures just as easily as they originally intended.

It even came with a feature when Gudao stretched his hand to the Guild’s Weapon, it pulled itself towards his hand, much like Thor’s Hammer [Mjolnir] and Freyr’s Sword [Ingrid]. It served as a countermeasure alongside a Passive [Dimensional Lock] Field: when a Guild Member turns traitor to run with it, the Guild Leader can stretch their hand and recall the staff back to their hands.

Gudao happily hummed when he recalled the ‘false’ incidents of members trying to run away with it, only to trip and fall from the halls by Momonga and their fellow guilds, then scolded on the spot. Now, it’s just a pretty staff that sits in the air, unused by anyone left in the Guild.

Better take it with me than leave it idling around,’ Gudao walks with the staff on hand, and the doors open to see Sebas and the Six Stars Pleiades standing by. These were creations of his friends, and he would embrace the last remaining minutes, “Follow.”

Sebas and the Six Stars Pleiades followed his command, and Gudao walked the pristine halls of Nazarick to the 10th Floor, where the Throne Room is located. Standing at the [Throne of Kings] was the 10th Floor’s Guardian, Albedo.

Gudao recalled Tabula explaining the overall details, equipment, build, and backstory of his [Succubus] character. Despite a bit of protesting, Tabula deemed him more worthy of writing due to ‘experience,’ which he finds breathtakingly exquisite in his own words.

He sat down and checked her settings, which seemed incredibly long as he scrolls it down. The average reader would’ve considered this a hassle to read, but Gudao was training to skim and memorize these details through experience and found something that he didn’t expect at the end: ‘She’s a bitch’.

Tabula-san… Why must you be so vulgar in her settings?’ Gudao remarked and used the Guild Weapon to overwrite the restrictions of authority. He would delete this part of her sentences and close it since he has no interest in changing anything.

After another sigh left Gudao’s breath, he turned to Sebas and the Pleiades, “Kneel.”

They abide by his order and kneel to the side without complaint. Being made Guild Leader, He holds absolute power over all subordinates of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

It truly was a wondrous time, everyone,’ Gudao looks up at the banners that held the symbols of his friends. He remembers all their player names, their respective avatars, and their memories with him. It was truly a wonderful time, and a tragic recollection for today…

From a sharp gasp, Gudao’s body goes rigid, his vision blurry, and conscious fading before slumping forward. But instead of hitting the ground, he was caught by someone’s arms, and his fading vision made out the distinct figure of Tabula’s creation, genuinely concerned for Albedo.

“Gudao-sama! Gudao-sama! Tell us what has happened?!” Albedo frantically screamed while Sebas and the Pleiades rushed to their Lord’s side,

One of the Pleiades, Lupusregina Beta, tried using healing magic on Gudao. Only to discover that there wasn’t any damage to begin with, and that the source of this dilemma is caused by the World Item integrated into his Game Character’s Heart, [The Anima Chaldea].

It wasn’t damaging him; it was adapting to his game character since it’s an overwhelming World-Class Item which provides an uncapped quantity, quality, and type of summons at his disposal. However, there are certain restrictions and costs, such as the limit of maintaining high-tier summons is limited to his total mana pool, and his HP is drained after MP reaches Zero.

It also possesses two active skills, [Command Overdrive] and [Grand Order]. The first active sacrifices EXP points to restore HP and MP of his Summons, maintain their buffs, or remove debuffs at his discretion, and the second active drains not only EXP Points, but also Levels when summoning a level 100 Summon to his command. There had been occasions in YGGDRASIL that he willingly sacrificed both to aid struggling players, fight off realm-tier threats, and punish unjust PKers.

The NPCs of Nazarick, however, weren’t informed of this item and assumed that an unknowable force had cowardly attacked their lord from the shadows, and it incurred the wrath of the 10th Floor Guardian. But she wouldn’t act upon it as she carried Gudao to her arms and turned to Sebas and the Pleiades, “Until our lord, Gudao-sama, has recovered. I will take charge of Nazarick’s defense in his stead. Have all our subordinates from the 1st to the 7th Floor set their security levels to a maximum. If there is an enemy within, dispose of them with extreme prejudice; they must pay for their arrogance in harming our lord.”

Sebas and the Pleiades abide by her order and effectively sent word to the other floors of Gudao’s state, while Albedo remains worried for her shallow-breathing lord.

She would bring him to a room on the 9th Floor and personally wait for his recovery while Sebas and the Pleiades rotated their shifts to clean their lord’s body, and many actively prayed that Gudao would remain while all others had left Nazarick for reasons they didn’t know or couldn’t understand.

~The Other Floor Guardians~

Standing outside the Tomb of Nazarick was Shalltear Bloodfallen in her Blood Valkyrie armor and standing guard with her [Vampire Brides] and her weapon [Spuit Lance] on hand. Though she wouldn’t move from her position, it doesn’t mean she’s not restricted in expression herself with rage upon hearing Gudao’s condition.

“To think that there’d be a disgraceful enemy who dared harm a Supreme Being of Nazarick,” Shalltear was seething with rage, “I’ll grind their bodies down to the bone,”

Her [Vampire Brides] would normally feel a small trace of fear from Shalltear’s malevolent aura. But they share her sentiment of the problem; whoever dares hurt a Supreme Being within their home must be dealt with. And they are more than willing to tear this enemy with their claws and fangs if it must be.

On the 4th Floor was Cocytus, brandishing all of his armor and equipping four weapons in each arm while taking a stand at his fortress with each weapon on hand. Though he shows no change of expression, his mandibles click to show his fuming anger, yet his disciplined by his status as a warrior to guard Nazarick’s 5th Floor from any opposition that stands against him or to cut down the infiltrator responsible for Gudao’s collapse.

On the 6th Floor, Aura Bella Fiora had her best trackers scour around their floor, and the rest were given patrol routes while her twin brother, Mare Bello Fiore, established several traps to ensure that the rest of the floor was locked tight to other routes of the teleportation circles.

As for their reactions, Mare was weeping from the news of Gudao’s collapse while Aura remains stern and disciplined even though she stiffened herself from making the same tears. What’s more, she didn’t stop her brother from weeping since it seemed more natural than annoying as usual. Should they find the infiltrator, they wouldn’t be spared under their hands, despite being Dark Elf Children…

Finally, Demiurge had systematically established the entire 7th Floor to be inescapable with his Demonic Forces and the Seven Evil Lords. As the Commander of the NPC defenses, the news of Gudao’s collapse hits him the hardest as it’s not only considered a blunder, but an unfathomable affront of incompetence to his authority.

Even when he looks calm on the surface, every fiber of his being is surging with an intense desire to subjugate this would-be assassin of the Supreme Being and subject them to an agonizing session of endless torture without a sliver of mercy for a quick death.

His very malevolence would’ve frightened the low-level monsters of his Floor. But their fear was overwritten with the same desire of the assassin’s fate: Total agonizing torture for the one who dared hurt a Supreme Being.

The only Floor that was kept in the dark of this news was the 8th Floor, since they run the risk of them going berserk. Especially when most of the Strongest NPCs within that floor are considered the ones closest to Gudao since he’s mostly involved in their creations, patterns, and relationship data logs.

But the only ones who were informed of this shift were the Floor Guardian Victim and the Leader of the Pleiades Seven Sisters, Aureole Omega. Unlike Victim, who holds no authority due to her role as a sacrificial guardian debuffing potential players attempting to raid their Dungeon, Aureole Omega is in her sanctuary with fingers clasped tightly and tears flowing from her eyes as she prays for her Gudao’s life to be spared and well.

The young Immortal Human of the Cherry Blossom Sanctuary is a Nazarick NPC that Gudao created himself. She inherited some of his skills, tactics, strategies, and summoning abilities that effectively mimic a beloved fragment of her creator, and how she learned of her creator’s collapse is through a report from the Pleiades Maids reporting Gudao’s condition as they actively treat his unconscious state.

It broke her heart knowing that her Creator is lying on his bed comatose from an unexpected assault in Nazarick, and the thoughts she focuses on weren’t malice of this interloper, but genuine concern, since that part of her programming also matches with his conditional playstyle of YGGDRASIL.

“Otou-san… Please be well,” Aureole prayed while her subordinates peeked from her sliding doors and watched with solemn eyes for their lady’s plight,

However, their job was to maintain order within the 8th Floor, and Aureole had issued a silent pact to prevent a leak of their creator’s condition with the other inhabitants of the Floor. They were Nazarick’s last line of Defense, and they cannot falter from their posts.

What followed were hours turning into mere days with Gudao resting and the Pleiades routinely caring for his body as [The Anima Chaldea] adapts to his game character, and Albedo remained by his side. Every hour felt like a year had passed, and a day felt like an eternity to them…

~Meanwhile…~

Within Gudao’s subconscious mind, he awakens from a place where there’s nothing but the void, and he looks down to see his human hands before hearing a voice before him, “Are you alright, Gudao-san?”

Gudao raised his head and saw the silhouette of Ainz Ooal Gown’s Former Guild Master, Momonga, with his red pupil eyes, and behind him were the other 41 Members of Ainz Ooal Gown.

“M-Momonga-san…” Gudao muttered,

“You look unwell, old friend. Then again, it was expected since you collapsed from the 10th Floor’s Throne Room.” Momonga understood, and Touch Me cuts in, “But all in all, it’s great to know that our NPCs acted in our stead to aid you! Even though we considered them nothing more than Data we’ve inputted, they selflessly came to your aid rather than let you fall upon the floor!”

“And to be caught by Albedo of all Nazarick’s NPCs,” Tabula remarked, “You’re rather lucky to have fallen for the Overseer’s arms in your dire hour.”

“How do you know about that?” Gudao questioned, then it struck him with an assumption, “Are you all also here as well?”

“I’m afraid not, Gudao,” Peroroncino denied, “If we were, we would’ve caught you ourselves.”

“But this place is highly restricting for us to escape, even with Touch-san’s and my power involved,” Ulbert told with crossed arms, “There’s no wall, no ceiling, just an endless space for us to walk with no end in sight. But Punitto Moe made quite the assumption for us, though.”

“I believe it has something to do with combination pf your item build; The World-Tier Heart - [The Anima Chaldea], The World-Tier Cloak [Shroud of Order] and your World-Tier Ring [Primordial Right],” Punitto Moe summarized after pulling out a white board via a Guild Mate’s [Creation Magic] and drawing an elaborate sketch of his assumption, “The latter effectively saves the forms of everyone you’ve met in YGGDRASIL after they’ve given their consent to copy or upgrade them, and the passive powers of your two World-Class Items somehow ‘merged’ themselves after you mysteriously arrived to a foreign world,”

“Who knew all that Isekai Troupe of Anime and VNs would become a real thing for you, Gudao-Onii-chan!” Bukubukuchagma exclaimed, “Even though we aren’t here for real, it still feels great that we’re together with you this way!”

“That said, can you at least change the aesthetic of this place? Being in a dark is too dull and gloomy to stand on,” Herohero asked,

Gudao would’ve said that he doesn’t know how, but he would try first before asking questions later. In a couple of minutes, the entire world changed from a dark, endless void of space into the spinning image of Nazarick’s 9th Floor.

“Ah, that’s more like it,” Peroroncino expressed, “Nothing beats home like our old Guild,”

“It’s only the 9th Floor, Peroroncino-san. But I did include some exits to the outside world. One where there are blue, clear skies, green grass, and everything the Earth should be, than where we used to live in,” Gudao revealed,

“Seriously?! Then what the hell are we waiting for! Let’s go and check it out!” Blue Planet, the Nature Enthusiast of the Guild, rushed outside along with some of the members who felt his energy, leaving only Momonga, Touch Me, Ulbert Alain Olde, Tabula Smargadina, and Punitto Moe alone in the room.

“While they’re busy seeing the outside world, what do you intend to do now?” Touch Me inquired, “Once you’ve regained consciousness, you’ll find yourself within Nazarick’s dungeon floor.”

Gudao thought about this for some time, but his smile pretty much gave it all way for the members of Ainz Ooal Gown. He was not only going to act as the Leader of Nazarick, but also act as the same arbiter they’ve grown to appreciate in YGGDRASIL’s active years of service.

“Well, good luck out there, Gudao. And when you come back, let us know what you see and learn,” Ulbert Alain Olde told with crossed arms,

“And if there are any players in this New World, don’t hesitate to use Nazarick to the fullest extent of your tactical authority!” Touch Me encouraged,

“But if it really gets tough, you may summon or use our character data to your advantage,” Momonga guaranteed, “They will know the full extent of Ainz Ooal Gown, the guild that knows no defeat.”

“Thank you, everyone. This means a lot even without you being here in person,” Gudao stated, then focused on making a portal that’ll return him to his physical body. But before he passed through, he turned to Tabula, “Also, Tabula. Your vulgar phrase of Albedo’s sheet had been revoked.”

“Wait, did you mess with my Data while I wasn’t looking?! Why the hell would you-“ Before Tabula could complain, Gudao had already stepped through the portal,

~9th Floor of Nazarick~

Gudao didn’t know how long he was unconscious, but as he opened his eyes, he heard a gasp and turned to see Albedo inching herself close with profound relief in her heart, “Gudao-sama?”

“Albedo?” Gudao slowly sat up, and Albedo kept her composure calm since she needed to be respectful in the presence of the Supreme Being. Instead, she straightened her posture, bent a knee before him, and firmly placed onto her chest as she bowed her head.

“Gudao-sama, I, Albedo the Overseer of the Floor Guardians, have allowed such a catastrophic blunder to occur under Nazarick’s watch. If you wish for my death to serve as a penance against my incompetence, may it be swift and true, my Lord.”

Gudao just stared at her, then reached for the top of her head, making her gasp as she looked up to him, “No, Albedo. What happened wasn’t your or anyone’s fault. None of you knew what had happened, not even me,”

“B-But,” Albedo was hesitant to accept it, but stopped when she felt his fingers scrubbed against her fine hair as he interjects, “I’m grateful for you looking out for me, and that’s enough for me.”

Albedo closed her lips, yet she trembled by the grace and mercy of her Supreme Lord. Then she lowered her head with utmost respect, and Gudao removed his hand and tossed the blanket aside. He carefully set his feet on the floor and flinched after feeling it.

Once planted, he rose from the bed and noticed how they were numb since he hadn’t moved for who knows how long. After letting the numbness pass, he takes his first step, and there is a minor struggle for the other. Albedo would only stand straight and remain by his side as he takes small steps to walk properly. If he were to tumble, she’ll be quick to catch him.

But after an hour or so, Gudao restored his footing and was walking around the room properly. It was a personal achievement before turning to Albedo for a question: “How long was lying in bed?”

“Three Days, my lord,” Albedo responded, “During that time, Nazarick is put under maximum security after your collapse, and the world surrounding the base isn’t the poisonous swamps of Helheim. They’ve reported that we’re located in a great green plain of an unknown land,

“I see…” Gudao understood, “Relieve the security measures for now and order the Floor Guardians, excluding the 4th and 8th, to gather at the 6th Floor’s Amphitheater. I wish to meet with them.”

“Understood, Gudao-sama,” Albedo agreed as she spread word of her lord’s awakening and order while Gudao slipped on his Guild Ring and transported himself from the 9th Floor to the 6th Floor of Nazarick.

~Amphitheater~

Right as he arrived, he walked through the hallway to enter the Amphitheater, and Gudaowass was spotted by one of the two Floor Guardians, Aura Bella Fiora. She would jump several stories high from the arena’s viewing deck and rush forward to her Supreme Lord, “Gudao-sama! I’m grateful that you’ve recovered! But are you feeling alright? Should I bring my pets or anyone else to tend to you?”

“No need, Aura,” Gudao assured, and patted her head, “But thank you for your kind words,”

“Hehehehe! You’re too kind, Gudao-sama…” Aura chuckled,

“More importantly, where’s your brother?” Gudao looked around and searched for Aura’s twin brother,

That’s when Aura switched her tune and turned towards the place where her brother may be hiding, “Ah! Mare, get down here at once! Are you trying to make Gudao-sama wait here!”

Mare pops up out of hiding, “I-I can’t, Onee-chan,”

“MARE!” Aura shouted,

“A-Alright,” Mare jumped from the height, nearly stumbled on the landing, much to his sister’s exasperated attitude, and he fixes his skirt before running towards Aura and Gudao, “G-Good evening, Gudao-sama. I’m glad you’re okay.”

Gudao smiled then noticed a faint tear trail from his left cheek as he stepped forward, “Were you crying, Mare?”

“Huh? N-No! I mean, I was… But,” Mare stuttered,

Gudao just bends a knee, cupped his cheek and wiped the tear trail with his thumb, “I must’ve worried you all this much, you guys. I’m really sorry,”

Mare simply sniffed once as tears rolled from his cheeks, but he resolved himself to wipe them while Aura just shook her head with her hands on her hips. She wouldn’t scold her brother about this, but she’s just as grateful as Albedo for Gudao’s generous nature.

“While we wait for the others to come, why don’t we eat together a little?” Gudao suggested,

“E-Eh?” Mare mouthed while Aura looked stunned, “Are you sure, Gudao-sama? It’s not that we mind, but are we even permitted to do so?”

“Of course, you are my friends’ creations. So why shouldn’t I share a meal with you?” Gudao then used her Doppelganger abilities to become something akin to a magic caster and used [Create Item] for a pristine outdoor table and three chairs.

Aura and Mare take their respective seats while Gudao pulls out some plates, bread, ham, condiments, and a tea set for three, a teapot with warm herbal tea. The Dark Elf Twins watched as Gudao personally prepared the sandwiches and poured herbal tea into their cups with a noticeable scent that they and Gudao seemed to enjoy.

It seemed like an added benefit for their transportation to the New World since the game never implemented life-like senses simulations such as smell, touch, and feel. Once the sandwiches were served, Gudao sat with them and picked up his teacup, “Don’t be shy, you two. I’m not stopping you.”

“R-Right,” Aura complied as she grabbed her sandwich and took the first bite. She seemed to hum with satisfaction, not because of the taste but also the honor of eating alongside a Supreme Being.

Mare would follow after his sister’s lead and take a bite of the sandwich as well. As they enjoy a simple snack, Gudao takes a sip of his herbal tea and breathes with satisfaction since it was real and not some aesthetic effect he usually does in YGGDRASIL.

Combined with the sandwich he’s made himself, it truly was a serene moment to enjoy within Nazarick and its sentient denizens. After the sandwiches were finished and the cups were empty, Gudao stored these items away. “Did you enjoy your meal, you two?”

“Yes! Your skills with food are sublime, Gudao-sama! We’re happily honored to share this moment with you.”

“Y-Yes! And it tastes really good when it’s especially made by you!” Mare agreed with less stuttering and more optimism in his tone,

“I’m glad to hear it,” Gudao responded,

“It seems I’m quite late for a banquet,” The three turned and saw the 1st to 3rd Floor Guardian and True Vampire, Shalltear Bloodfallen, walking into the Amphitheater through a portal. She would stop just meters from them and offer a curtsy to Gudao, “Greetings, Gudao-sama. I, Shalltear Bloodfallen, have arrived at your summons.”

“Thank you for coming,” Gudao thanked, “Did you see the others on the way here?”

“No. After receiving Albedo’s report, I came to see if you are well. But I swear on my life that I will find the interloper who dares to cause you harm within Nazarick’s walls,” Shalltear vowed,

“We may not know if it’s an interloper or not, but I’m thankful for your consideration, Shalltear,” Gudao kindly thanked, which made her gasp out of admiration, “Oh, Gudao-sama. Your benevolence to my uselessness knows no bounds.”

“Ugh, there you go again. Always trying to latch on to someone’s feet again,” Aura rebuked,

“What was that?” Shalltear sneered while Mare whimpered at his seat,

For Gudao, he just watched Aura and Shalltear have at it with insults and rebukes since they are a representation of his friends, Peroroncino and Bukubukuchagma’s sibling rivalry in the active years of YGGDRASIL. In fact, he finds it quite amusing, even though they wouldn’t go so far as to kill each other.

“WHAT’S. THIS. RUCKUS.” Everyone turned and saw Cocytus entering the Amphitheater, “YOU. SHOULD. BEHAVE. IN. FRONT. OF. HIS. HIGHNESS.”

Gudao remembers this one as Warrior Takemikazuchi’s NPCs and the 5th Floor Guardian. From design to personality, he embodies a disciplined yet honorable warrior. Another fragment of his cherished friends.

“She’s the one who disrespected me!” Shalltear yelled with flames on each hand and crimson red murderous eyes,

“I only spoke the truth!” Aura yelled back with her whip at the ready,

Cocytus slammed the butt of his halberd, and ice crystallized the ground as they crept towards the two Floor Guardians. Gudao simply raised his hand and snapped once, which released a small but controlled wave of [Primordial Aura] that shattered the creeping ice and brought their attentions to him.

“Everyone, please be at ease. I’ve summoned you all here for a meeting, not to squabble amongst yourselves.” Gudao’s calm yet commanding voice speaks volumes about his role as a leader, and they abide by his words.

“My apologies for such rudeness, Gudao-sama. I shall not repeat it,” Shalltear apologized as she bowed her head and hands firmly crossed

“Same, even though I meant what I said, I should’ve said it without your permission,” Aura followed as she followed Shalltear's example,

“It’s fine, Aura, Shalltear. I’m quite aware that your relationship reflects that of Peroroncino and Bukubukuchagma’s sibling rivalry,” Gudao assured as he lowered his hand, “But as for today, let’s put your feud aside and focus on the meeting. Is that alright with you?”

“Yes, Gudao-sama/Of course, Gudao-sama,” Aura and Shalltear agreed simultaneously and without frowning at each other,

“Cocytus, I’m glad you’ve made it for today’s meeting,” Gudao turned to the 5th Floor Guardian, “How are things in the 5th Floor under your supervision?”

“WE. REMAINED. STRONG. AND. DISCIPLINED. GUDAO. SAMA.” Cocytus let out an icy breath, “BUT. AS. A. FLOOR. GUARDIAN. I. FAILED. THE. OATH. OF. PROTECTION. TO. THE. SURPREME. BEINGS.”

“It’s alright, Cocytus. What happened to me was an unprecedented factor on our part. What matters now is that we initiate today’s meeting,” Gudao said. “That being said, we only need Albedo, Demiurge, and Sebas present to discuss the meeting.”

“We are here, my lord,” Albedo spoke, and they turned to see her with Sebas on her left and Demiurge on her right as they followed behind her,

Once they’d stopped just meters from them, Demiurge and Sebas placed their hands on their chests and formally bowed to him.

“We are grateful to hear of your recovery, Gudao-sama. However, I ask that you punish us for the blunder of letting you be harmed under our watch,” Demiurge expressed with shame in his professional demeanor.

“I would ask of you for the same punishment, my lord,” Sebas insisted, “Even when I was present, I was unable to defend you as the Lord’s Bulter and Floor Guardian.”

Gudao doesn’t sigh, he just smiles with warmth and reassurance to their desires for penances, “No… What had happened to me was an unexpected variable that even I, the Grand Arbiter, failed to register. So don’t let this matter shame you from your duties. You’ve all done your part perfectly to defend Nazarick in my stead, and that is enough.”

It wasn’t just Demiurge and Sebas; it was every Floor Guardian present as they’re embraced with the sheer benevolence and wisdom of Ainz Ooal Gown’s Grand Arbiter of War and Wisdom. For that, there was only one recourse…

They all gathered together as Albedo began, “Now, all of you show your loyalty to the Supreme Being.”

“As the guardian of the first, second, and third floors, Shalltear Bloodfallen,” Shalltear bends a knee and hand onto her chest, “I bow before you,”

Cocytus then steps forward before bending a knee with icy breath, “GUARDIAN. OF. THE. FIFTH. FLOOR. COCYTUS. I. BOW. BEFORE. YOU.”

“Guardian of the sixth floor, Aura Bella Fiora…” Aura steps forward, followed by her timid twin brother, “A-Also a guardian of the sixth floor, Mare Bello Fiore,”

Then the twins bend a knee and their hands pressed on their chests, “We bow before you,”

“Guardian of the seventh floor, Demiurge,” Demiurge stepped forward, bent a knee, and placed a hand on his chest, “I bow before you,”

“Guardian of the ninth floor, Sebas Tian,” Sebas also stepped forward, bent a knee, and placed a hand on his chest,” I bow before you,”

“Overseer of the Guardians, Albedo.” Albedo was the last to bend a knee, hand on her chest, “I bow before you. All guardians from all floors, except Gargantua of the fourth floor and Victim of the eighth floor, now bow before you.”

Gudao merely stood from his chair before the present Floor Guardians as Albedo finished, “We await your orders, Supreme Ruler. Our loyalty belongs to you.”

Before these kneeling Guardians, he gives their fealty with a hand to his chest and a quick bow of his head, “Thank you all for coming... We may now begin with today's meeting.”
