Notes for AO3:
I was looking at this fic again, decided to share the silliness with those on AO3.
As said before: I'm trying not to be too serious with this one, just so I can get words written down and try to chip away at any writer's block. Because of this, this fic isn't a priority in comparison to the others if I find myself able to work on those ones.

Chapter 1: SILLY.... Found!

SILLY wakes up on the concrete. Owch!

SILLY exclaims, “HELLO WORLD.”

SILLY does the motion to crack their neck and knuckles but no sound occurs. Sad!

 

Silly watches on as SILLY tries to do what Silly wanted. Silly sees that SILLY is on the roof of the HOMETOWN Hospital.

Silly wants to ask SILLY how to refer to SILLY beyond just SILLY, but there’s a barrier!

Silly wishes the The Set Up it used would properly let them communicate with SILLY.

(Perhaps they should have looked at the INSTRUCTIONS more carefully!)

 

SILLY stands up and sees SILLY is taller than the trees.

 

Silly takes control of SILLY and tries to find a latter, but the perspective doesn’t let it see anything!

 

SILLY doesn’t have a solid grasp of gravity and interprets Silly’s command as a command to walk off the roof. Uh Oh!

SILLY looses 20 HP of SILLY’s max of 25 HP!

SILLY has never experienced pain before and cries!

 

Silly doesn’t know how to help.

Silly looks in their inventory, but finds nothing!

 

SILLY’s cries get the attention of a passerby!

     “Hummm?? Do I hear the cries of a gamer in distress?” Berdly popped out from behind a tree.

SILLY looks up and tilts their head.

     “O-oh! You’re bleeding!” Berdly didn’t expect someone to be truly hurt, “Here, I’ll get you in the hospital…”

Berdly helps SILLY up and holds SILLY under his arm-wing with on of SILLY’s arms over his shoulder.

Berdly helps SILLY to the hospital and gets them a room with next to Rudy’s Room.

 

Silly watches and lets SILLY rest in the hospital.

Silly has SILLY close SILLY’s eyes and sleep.

Chapter 2: Silly… Exploration!

DELTARUNE: SILLY&Silly’s Mod opens successfully.

 

SILLY is resting in a bed with bandages wrapped around SILLY’s self.

 

Silly looks at their inventory and sees SILLY is now at 30 HP out of 25 HP!

 

The Nurse walks in and sees that SILLY is at full health.

     “How did you heal so fast? Well your friend who dropped you off is here to get you home.” The Nurse says.

 

SILLY gets out of the hospital bed and walks out of the room and to the HOMETOWN Hospital lobby.

 

Berdly is sitting on a chair as he fiddles with the Bead Puzzle while bouncing his leg.

Berdly see SILLY covered in bandages and says,

     “Are you really ready to go??”

 

Silly gets 5 different prompts, they have SILLY say, “We’re ready…”

 

Berdly looks over SILLY’s shoulders to The Nurse behind the desk.

The Nurse behind the desk gives Berdly a nod and a rough approximation of a thumbs up.

     “… Let’s go!” Berdly stands up and walks to the door.

 

SILLY stands there as SILLY waits for Silly’s commands.

 

Silly has SILLY go to the small piano.

SILLY doesn’t know what Silly wants SILLY to do.

 

Berdly walks back in the hospital’s front doors and sees SILLY by the shrunken piano.

     “Ah… Trying to sprain your brain with the tiny piano? There’s only one person who can make it sound good!” Berdly says in an arrogant-like tone.

     “...Not to rail-road you in the RPG of Life, but I’m sure whomever is waiting for you in your place of residence would like to see you alive and well before waving you off on your Grand Journey.” Berdly says in complete sincerity.

 

Silly has SILLY walk over to Berdly and follow him out of the hospital.

 

     “So! Where is this home-base of yours must I escort you to?” Berdly asks.

 

Silly gets 3 different prompts and has SILLY say, “Nowhere.”

 

     “W-well that can’t be right.” Berdly is confused, “B-but! You are certainly a new face in Hometown so I’ll lead you around and you tell me when you see something familiar.”

 

Silly has SILLY say, “Ok.”

 

Berdly and SILLY walk around HOMETOWN.

Berdly asks is anything is familiar at each location they stop at.

 

SILLY truthfully answers negative each time.

 

Berdly is confused!

     “No. N-no that’s not right.” Berdly is getting upset, “You— Your tricking me! O-or you had a concussion that the nurse didn’t catch.”

Berdly grabs SILLY’s hand.

     “I’m bringing you to the Town Hall. Mrs.Holiday should know where you live, right? She’s the mayor!” Berdly says, frustrated.

Berdly pulls SILLY to the TOWN HALL.

 

Silly watches as Berdly and SILLY get told the Mayor is too busy.

 

Berdly pulls SILLY outside of the TOWN HALL and brings out his phone.

Berdly calls Noelle.

     “Noelle! My partner in academia! I’m afraid I have a request I must ask of you!”

     “B-Berdly? Um… Sure? What is it?” Noelle’s voice carries over the phone’s speaker.

     “There’s a new kid in town, but they don’t know where they live!”

     “...W-What?”

Berdly and Noelle talk over the phone.

 

SILLY gets SILLY’s hand out of Berdly’s grasp and walks down to The Bunker as Silly commands.

 

Silly has SILLY wait by The Bunker.

Nothing happens.

Silly has SILLY interact with The Bunker Door.

SILLY doesn’t know what they want SILLY to do.

Nothing happens.

Silly has SILLY walk back to Berdly.

 

Berdly spots SILLY walking away from The Bunker as he is putting his phone a way.

     “There you are! Noelle is going to meet with us at the school!” Berdly says.

Berdly walks to HOMETOWN school.

 

Silly has SILLY follow him.

 

SILLY reaches the school.

 

Berdly and SILLY enter the school.

Noelle cannot be seen in the school entrance.

     “Hummm. Perchance she is in one of the rooms? Noelle is quite punctual, so she mustn’t be late.” Berdly comments.

Berdly checks Ms. Alphy’s class room.

Berdly doesn’t see Noelle.

 

Silly watches Berdly look around.

 

SILLY gets commanded by Silly to walk to the closet.

 

     “Hm. I suppose we could check the closet...." Berdly begrudges, "but Noelle is smart enough to know that we shouldn’t be there.”

Berdly walks over to the closet doors and opens the them.

Darkness spills out of the doorway.

     “W-what?” Berdly is confused.

 

Silly tries to have SILLY walk into the dark.

 

     “Hey!” Berdly stops SILLY from walking into the darkness, “Don’t go in there!”

“In the dark?” Silly has SILLY question.

     “Don’t go in the dark!” Berdly reiterates.

Berdly takes out his phone and calls Noelle.

 

Silly watches at the call goes through!

 

     “Noelle! Where are you!?” Berdly exclaims.

     “Berdly—?” The sound of Noelle’s voice barely gets through the static.

     “We’re at the school but there’s is nary fur nor hoof of you!”

     “The closet—”

     “We know the closet is acting weird! But where you?”

     “— in the closet—?”

     “...We have to go in the dark…?”

     “Yeah...— rry.”

     “Sigh… Apologize not, my dear Noelle.” Berdly puffs up his chest, “Your knight in no armor will come to your rescue!”

     “—new kid?— about—?”

     “Aha! They shall be my squire on my quest to find you and free yourself from the dark!”

 

Silly has SILLY walk into the dark.

 

SILLY falls and hits SILLY’s head.

Chapter 3: SILLY.... Finds!

Chapter Text

 DELTARUNE: SILLY&Silly’s Mod opens successfully.

SILLY wakes up on strange dirt.

 

Silly sees a barren world made of dusty purples and blues with one pile of white stuff on the ground.

 

SILLY stands up.

 

Silly and SILLY see that SILLY’s clothing has changed.

 

SILLY is now wearing an off-white leather helmet, a dull cyan chain-mail haubergeon over a dusty purple long-sleeved shirt, metal vambraces, off-white leather greaves, a single off-white leather cuisses on the left leg over dusty blue pants, and metal armored boots.

 

SILLY and Silly don’t know what all of those words the narrator used, but they know the look of what’s being worn through seeing it.

Silly has SILLY walk around before interacting with the lone white pile still standing.

 

Berdly was behind the pile!

     “AH!! W-Wait. It’s just you.” Berdly says.

Berdly also has a different outfit. He’s sort of like a knight with glow in the dark armor.

     “What an… Interesting outfit you have on...” Berdly tacks on before looking around again, “You may have ruin the only pile of.. stuff… here that I was investigating, but now that we have met up again, we can make haste in our quest for Noelle!”

Berdly begins walking to the EAST before stopping at a ledge with a slant on its north face.

     “Now we just need to find a way down…” Berdly comments.

 

Silly tries to have SILLY slide down.

 

SILLY interprets its command as “Walk off the ledge.”

SILLY walks of the ledge.

 

     “You’re just going to hurl yourself down a cliff!?” Berdly says in shock.

 

SILLY falls onto the ground!

 

Berdly tentatively puts a foot on the slide-like are and slides down safely.

Berdly checks to see if SILLY in injured.

     “Don’t do that!” Berdly’s face is a mix of concern and frustration, “… We’re going to slide down ledges if there are more ahead. Not. Jump.

 

Silly has SILLY respond, “Ok.”

 

     “Good. Now, I’ll lead the way.” Berdly says as he walks off.

 

SILLY follows Berdly, just as Silly commands.

 

Berdly and SILLY walk.

And walk.

And walk.

And just as Berdly is about to say something, they reach another cliff that has a slant on its north face.

This slant is a lot longer than the first.

Trying to prevent SILLY from walking off a ledge again, Berdly says,

     “Okay. Now, copy what I do, okay?” He then puffs his chest up and adds, “After all, it is a pro-gamer’s duty to teach the unexperienced!”

Carefully, but with more confidence than last time, Berdly begins to slide down the slanted cliff face, his arm-wings are stretched out to cause drag to slow his descent.

 

Silly has SILLY slide down the cliff.

 

SILLY copys how Berdly slides down.

SILLY doesn’t have feathered arms to help slow SILLY’s decent!

SILLY starts to go faster than Berdly and passes right by him!

 

     “What?! If you wanted a race, you should have said something!” Berdly holds his arms farther behind him and starts to speed up!

Berdly begins to catch up with SILLY!

 

Silly has SILLY copy Berdly again and have SILLY’s arms be held out behind them!

 

SILLY speeds up!

 

     “Hm! Not bad for a beginner.” Berdly complements SILLY, “But how about… This!”

Berdly begins to flap his wings like a bird.

Berdly speeds up!

 

SILLY tries to do the same. Nothing happens!

 

Berdly flaps his wings more.

Berdly speeds up!

Berdly takes the lead!

Berdly nears the end of the cliff!

Berdly uses his wings to cause drag and slows down dramatically!

 

SILLY fails to slow down!

 

Berdly wins the race!

     “And that!” Berdly pauses dramatically, “Is how the pros do it!”

 

SILLY nears the end of the cliff!

 

     “You made a valiant effort to use my brilliant technique,” Berdly isn’t paying attention to SILLY, “but your lack of plumage was your down fall… In fact—!”

 

SILLY crashes into Berdly! Owch x 2!

 

Berdly loses 20 HP out of 700 HP!

 

SILLY loses 9 HP out of 100 HP!

 

After a brief moment of confusion, Berdly shouts at SILLY,

     “You could have WARNED ME at least!!”

 

SILLY is experiencing pain for the second time ever!

SILLY just got yelled at for the first time!

SILLY begins to tear up!

 

Berdly startles!

     “W-wait, hold on….!” Berdly takes a deep breath in and out before continuing, “I shouldn’t have yelled at you, I’m sorry.”

 

Silly directs SILLY to move off of Berdly.

 

SILLY stops tearing up.

 

Berdly gets up from the ground.

     “… Let us continue onward?” Berdly says with a gentle expression before walking towards a crossroads east.

 

SILLY follows close behind him.

 

Berdly and SILLY reach a 3-way crossroads.

 

Silly has SILLY walk north.

 

SILLY reaches a small and empty town.

 

     “Hm. A town inside a closet?” Berdly says, “I would have figured there would be more dust-bunnies...”

 

Silly has SILLY walk north more.

Silly has SILLY interact with a Save Point.

 

SILLY puts a hand on the Save Point.

Save.........Return]

 

Silly selects ‘Save’ on File 1.

 

[Progress Saved.

Close Game?

No.........Yes]

 

Silly selects ‘No’ to continue the game.

They exit out of the Save Point menu.

Silly has SILLY walk down some stairs to reach the castle in the distance.

 

Berdly rushes to take the lead!

Berdly and SILLY walk down the stairs.

Berdly, Silly, and SILLY reach the front of the castle.

     “A castle now…!? Just what is going on here!?” Berdly says.

Berdly harshly knocks on the castle’s doors.

     “Hello!? We just wanted to talk with Noelle!!!” Berdly shouts.

Berdly stops knocking on the door and backs up, tapping his foot as he waits.

 

Silly has SILLY walk to the door before having SILLY interact with it.

 

SILLY copys what Berdly did and knocks on the doors.

 

     “You don’t have to do that, I already knocked.” Berdly says, “You doing so as well will have no effect!”

 

SILLY continues to knock.

 

The door begins to open.

     “Berdly?” Noelle says from behind the door.

     “Noelle! You know this place!?”

     “Um... No, I don’t.” Noelle looks uneasy as she admits, “The door was unlocked, so I walked in to see if there was anyone I could ask directions on how to get back to school from here…”

     “Well, I suppose most games do let you enter and exit others housing at leisure.” Berdly comments.

     “There wasn’t anyone here, though.” Noelle informs him and SILLY.

     “That just mean we must explorer more!” Berdly says confidently, “There were some building in that small town that me and the new kid didn’t check, there must be something!”

     “That’s a good idea, but those were the first places I checked when I got here…”

     “O-oh… Well, there was a path to the east that we all can go to!”

     “Perfect!” Noelle turns to SILLY, “Hello! I’m Noelle, as I’m sure you know by now. What’s your name?”

Silly has SILLY say, “SILLY.”

     “Silly, huh?” Noelle says, but before she can continue, SILLY corrects her.

     “Ahhh, all capitalized letters?” Berdly buts in, “A true retro gamer name, SILLY.”

     “Now that we know that, let’s start looking for a way out.” Noelle says.

 

Silly has SILLY guide everyone up stairs.

Silly has SILLY interact with the Save Point.

Chapter 4: SILLY… Encounters!

DELTARUNE: SILLY&Silly’s Mod opens successfully.

SILLY stumbles forward!

     “You okay?” Noelle says.

Silly has SILLY reply, “I am now.”

 

     “You paused just now in this little area, then stumbled out of nowhere?” Berdly questions, then guesses, “You’re in a time-loop, aren’t you?”

 

Silly has SILLY says, “No. Just hit a Save Point.”

 

     “… Understood.” Berdly states.

Noelle gives SILLY a curious look.

 

Silly has SILLY continue walking SOUTH.

 

Noelle and Berdly follow behind.

 

Silly has SILLY go EAST.

 

Berdly, Noelle, and SILLY reach a room with a Dummy.

     “A dummy? What’s this for?” Berdly asks, he breaks from the line to get a closer look at the Dummy.

     “Hm.” Noelle tilts her head for a moment before exclaiming, “Oh! I figured out what this place reminds me of!”

     “Oh? What is it?” Berdly inquires.

     “Dragon Blazers! This room is like the tutorial room in the main hub.” Noelle says, “The dummy seems like a fake enemy for practice.”

     “A tutorial enemy, you say?” Berdly walks away from the hall the four came from and stands across from the Dummy, “Then let us give it a test!”

 

Silly has SILLY walk up to the Dummy.

 

SILLY has Encountered the Dummy!

SILLY, Berdly, and Noelle have been pulled into a Battle!

 

Silly makes note that SILLY is in Kris’s spot, Berdly is in Susie’s spot, and Noelle is in Ralsei’s spot.

 

SILLY stumbles!

Berdly is surprised!

Noelle is surprised!

 

Silly selects ACT on SILLY’s battle menu and tells SILLY to hug the Dummy!

Silly selects ACT on Berdly’s battle menu and has him DEFEND.

 

Berdly does DEFENDS?

Silly sees the TP bar raise!

Silly selects ACT on Noelle’s battle menu and has her DEFEND.

 

Noelle does DEFENDS?

Silly sees the TP bar raise!

SILLY hugged the Dummy!

 

     “W-What is happening?” Noelle asks at the same time as Berdly says, “What in the world?!?!”

The Dummy attacks!

 

Silly doges it very easily.

Silly selects ACT on SILLY’s battle menu and picks GROUP HUG to hug the Dummy with SILLY, Berdly, and Noelle.

 

Noelle and Berdly are confused!

     “What is going on?!” Berdly yells.

 

Silly has SILLY say, “ACTing can make us win a Battle without FIGHTing.”

 

     “It.. really is like Dragon Blazers??” Noelle says.

     “O-oh…” Berdly says, then he arrogantly claims, “Oh! I knew it all along!”

     “Really?” Noelle says to him.

Berdly and Noelle took too long, now their teams turn is gone. That’s what happens.

The Dummy does nothing!

The Dummy is ready to be spared!

 

Silly selects SPARE on SILLY’s battle menu and spares the Dummy!

 

Battle has ended!

The party has gained 0 EXP and D$3.

Noelle and Berdly are processing what just happened.

 

Sill directs SILLY to to the EAST.

 

     “N-now just hold on a second…!” Berdly stops SILLY by walking in-front of SILLY, “We need to talk about that, what was that!?”

 

Silly has SILLY say, “Tested the Tutorial Dummy.”

 

     “...” Noelle ponders for a moment. Then when she looks like she is about to say something, she reconsiders, and instead says, “Now that we know how to battle, we should keep looking for a way forward...”

     “Ah! Of course!” Berdly says.

Berdly takes the lead!

Berdly, Noelle, and SILLY go EAST.

Berdly, Noelle, and SILLY reach the Grand Door.

The Grand Door is closed.

     “Wow, that’s one ornate door…” Berdly says, he then puffs up and adds, “Seems our journey’s progress has reached it’s first puzzle!”

     “How would we get it open?” Noelle questions as she looks at it.

 

Sill has SILLY interact with the door

 

SILLY knocks on the door.

 

Nothing happens.

SILLY keeps knocking on the door.

 

Nothing happens.

SILLY keeps knocking on the door.

 

Silly spams the interact button on the door.

SILLY knocks on the door really really fast!

 

     “I don’t think knocking is going to help…” Noelle says, “Hum, there isn’t any handles on the door either…”

     “Perhaps we missed something in the castle?” Berdly inquires.

     “It’s possible… I didn’t look to closely when I was there.”

     “Then away we go!”

Berdly turned to walk away… But the path was blocked!

     “W-what the--?”

A small white dog in a red and yellow toy car is sitting in the way!

     “Yip YIP!” Yips the dog.

The dog honks the horn of the toy are and begins revving.

     “What?” Berdly and Noelle say as the dog revs more.

The little white dog lets out a bark before smoothly weaving the toy car between Berdly, Noelle, and SILLY absurdly fast!

The white dog does donuts around SILLY!

The white dog gets even faster!

The dog drives straight into the Grand Door!

The Grand Door breaks open!

     “I…” Noelle is still processing what happened.

Berdly is looking at the faint tire tracks that the toy car made as they slowly fade away.

 

Silly has SILLY say, “We can walk through the door now.”

 

     “…” Berdly looks up to SILLY, blinks rapidly, and says, “I suppose we… can!”

 

Silly has SILLY walk through the door.

 

Berdly and Noelle follow through, still dazed.

Through the door, it a pink tree filled forest. A Save Point a little ways forward of the Grand Door.

 

Silly has SILLY interact with the Save Point.
