Chapter Text
…they shamble across the shore line. Their only purpose in life… a pile of splintered wood at the edge of the border.
No one else.
The immaculate jewels and pearls glint under the bloody moon. Slick blood still stains their smooth skin. Only theirs remain… long after the wounds closed.
No one else.
A mist begins to envelope the woods. They growl. Spurred on by the ebbing, scarlet light, they sprint into the rainforest. One destination.
No one else.
Only the creak of the trees. There. A deep pond, enough to fit their body.
No one… a glint on the surface. Their gaze clears up. They look around, confusion swarming them, clamping their clawed hands around the diamonds and pearls. It doesn't take long for them to surmise that they're back here, once more. Of course… as a permanent dweller. They sigh and thumb the only thing that they have of their previous life.
The one that they’ve stolen from him.
Grimacing at the thought, they sit down on the ledge of the pond, observing the celestial body. Clouds consume the sky, more keep piling on. The mist closes in on them.
They chuckle. “No one… but mine.”
Sploosh.
Deeper. And deeper. Into an eternal slumber.
