Claire, Manaria, Yu, Thane, and Claire’s entourage were having a tea session, and Rae was attending as Claire’s servant. They were discussing the Amour Festival, which would be at the end of the month. At some point in the conversation, Rae confessed to Claire again, and Claire rejected her again.
“Even if I were interested in other girls, I would pick Manaria long before I would ever look at you,” Claire said, glaring at Rae.
Rae grimaced. “Of course you would.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Claire said, exasperated. “I’m not interested in other girls, it was just a hypothetical. And I didn’t mean any offense or anything. I’m sure you’ll be able to find other girls who will be into you.”
Rae chuckled. “I appreciate the thought, but I don’t think you’ll get rid of me that easily. You’re the one I care for, and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.”
“Lucky me,” Claire said dryly.
