Chapter Text
“And so, what are the updates regarding the ‘Freezing Moon’ controversy in Whygee?” one of the males seated on the pyramid platform asked.
“We have apprehended and detained all five masterminds,” Plackbink reported. “Big Boom is currently suspended and under investigation for their ostensible involvement with the incident.”
“In order to maintain fairness, we are ordering all Whygee squads to hand over the investigation to the Twilight Triad,” Daniel stated. “This does not mean we do not trust the Whygee squads to uphold impartiality during the investigation; it’s just that the issue was so severe, it now falls under the duties and responsibility of the Twilight Triad. I hope you understand our decision.”
“Of course. We were thinking of the same idea,” Jennie and the rest agreed, nonchalant to Wanna One’s decision. “Because the issue involved one of our magical squads, the public’s impressions of all Whygee’s squads are a bit clouded at the moment. We think it’s in the best interest of the kingdom.”
“Very well. We will inform SVT, Mommymoo, and Geefreend to expedite the investigation and settle the issue as soon as possible.”
And with that, Plackbink teleported out of Wannable.
Wanna One had just finished settling another issue in one of the provinces. Just like any working day, today had been another busy day for the Second Generation of Chosen, especially since their work had piled up after spending several days relaxing in a green tea field on an island somewhere in the kingdom. Rules had to be passed; meetings that needed to be attended. It was not much, but the eleven rulers greatly appreciated even the mere minutes of occasional peace and serenity they had in Wannable.
But just as the silence began to settle, Jisung opened a conversation out of the blue.
“Do we have something of utmost importance that we need to do? I feel like we’re missing something highly relevant,” the leader addressed the others.
The rest racked their brains for several moments before Minhyun provided the answer, “It’s one week before the election and induction of the 18th Bicameral Chambers. I hope you did not forget about the things that we need to do.”
Realization hit Wanna One. It was something they learned during their trip to the future several months ago, but forgot about until today.
“I see,” Daniel sighed. “We only have one week left, huh?”
“So, should we start the preparations?” Sungwoon prompted. “We have a lot on our to-do list if that’s the case.”
“Can we just…” Kuanlin hesitated. “…not follow the timeline?”
Seongwu understood where Kuanlin was coming from, but had to refute, “Unfortunately not, Kuanlinie. If we do, it’s not only Hallyu who’s going to be affected.”
“Be that as it may, the first task on our to-do list is to call for an emergency meeting of the Arcanus Alliance,” Minhyun did his task as the internal secretary of the group.
“Woojinie and I will handle the letters for Sakura-nim, Lucy-nim, Piper-nim, Phoebe-nim, and Paige-nim,” Jihoon volunteered.
“Jinyoungie-hyung and I will take care of the invitations for the five prospects to join the Alliance,” Daehwi said somberly.
“Let’s close the Wannable. These should be our final agenda for today,” Jaehwan suggested.
After sending out the letters first to the other Founders of the Alliance, the eleven went back to Zero Base for a much-needed rest. They huddled in front of the TV while watching a movie. As soon as the credits rolled, the sensitive topic was once again discussed.
“Hyungdeul, do we really need to follow what we saw?” Kuanlin had been restless for some time.
“To be honest, I agree with Kuanlin,” Jihoon muttered.
“I don’t see the point anymore. Maybe we saw those visions not for us to ensure they will happen, but for us to find a way to adjust the timeline and not let that invasion happen at all,” Woojin argued.
“Or maybe it was intended so that Daniel can alter the future with his power,” Jaehwan blurted out.
As the resident Chronokinetic who has been rigorously studying his powers, Seongwu had to step up, “It doesn’t work that way, Jaehwan, Woojin. As we have all seen, our actions were not limited to our timeline; we also changed other timelines as well. Thus, unless we follow what we saw in our visions, there could be major consequences across space and time.”
“But can’t we do those things without stepping down as Chosen?” Jinyoung rebutted.
Daehwi nodded, “Yeah. That could be a good compromise.”
“No, Jinyoung. Due to our actions, the timelines will become linked with each other. Even if we alter the other timelines, if we do not set into action the events here in Hallyu, that could still have a ripple effect on the other timelines and cause unpredictable results.” Minhyun explained.
“In short, to ensure the best possible outcome, we must follow the blueprint that we saw. It’s the best bet we have since we already know the results,” Sungwoon firmly stated. “Taking a risk by doing anything different in any magnitude could be detrimental not only for us, but for others as well.”
“It’s our duty as the Chosen to ensure what’s best for Hallyu, even if that involves personal sacrifices,” Jisung told everyone. “And besides, we have more or less already anticipated this, looking at what happened with IOI before.”
“It’s for the greater good, isn’t it?” Daniel could only mumble.
Following the intense discussion, all eleven went to sleep.
The next day, the response from Kinomoto Sakura, Lucy Heartfilia, and The Charmed Ones came back quickly. It wasn’t really a surprise considering the letter mentioned an emergency.

Dear Wanna One,
I am a bit taken aback by this call for an emergency meeting since the last convention just happened recently, and it has been agreed upon that the meeting will be done annually. Nevertheless, I approve this emergency meeting, fully trusting whatever plans you have in store as the originators of the Alliance. Also, I’m so glad others want to join the Alliance as well.
I’m excited to visit Hallyu again. I hope this time there will be no scary monsters welcoming my arrival (I hate monsters T-T). See you again soon.
Best regards,
Kinomoto Sakura

“Jinyoungie, Daehwi, please send the invitations to our prospects.” Jisung requested.
“Yes, hyung,” the aforementioned two obliged.
“Let’s prepare everything within the next few days. There is no time to waste. We only have three days to prepare for their arrival and four days before the emergency meeting,” Minhyun directed everyone.
With the approval and confirmed attendance of the other founders, Wanna One sprang into action to ensure everything would be in order.
