The Bats. The Waynes.
Both being the most influential families in and out of the hero world.
Though only those that live in Gotham know about the Batfamily. And Gotham knows to keep the family a secret. What happens in Gotham, stays in Gotham.
It’s what keeps everyone safe. Keeps the craziness of Gotham in Gotham.
Everyone knows to stay out of Gotham. Batman makes sure every hero knows. Gotham is his. No outside metas allowed. No outside heros.
As far as the outside world is considered, Batman works alone and doesn’t accept help. Inside Gotham though?
Ooh Gotham knows to keep her secrets. Everyone knows to keep the existence of the other bats secret. Gotham doesn’t like to share.
Watching THEIR hero’s, HER KNIGHTS, work with outside help, oooh does she get jealous, get possessive. The Bats are hers.
And the Wayne’s? Her pride and joys? Watching as they still continue to help, just more publicly. Does she preen, here does she know that they stay within her borders.

Sidekick to Batman.
A family, a unit, heroes who fight injustice during the day, and fight crime at night. But even then, at the end of the day. They are still human.
