I've had this idea for quite a while and after a month I finally decided to write this.

I hope this doesn't feel rushed or smth ⊙_◎

Chapter Text

It was a special evening for Sidney. Tatum has managed to get her to visit Stu's party.

There were lots of other people there: Randy, Steve, Casey. Just to name a few.

The party was going great. Some were watching horror movies, some were just drinking, while the others were making out.

It wasn't really Sid's cup of tea, but it wouldn't hurt to let herself go this once, right? That's what Tatum was saying anyway.

"Come on, Sid! Just one drink?"

"...Alright, let's do this."

Sidney takes one sip.

"Ugh- yeah, it's just not for me."

"Hey, Sid, Tatum! Do y'all want to watch a movie with us?" - Randy's voice called out.

"We're watching Halloween. The original." - He continued.

"Oh, yeah, sure." - Sidney replied.

"And get some more beer on the way, okay?" - Stu said.

"Y'all already drank all that? Ugh, I'll be right back." - Tatum said and left to the garage.

Sidney sat down on a couch next to Randy.

"Have you seen Billy?"

"Uh, no, he didn't come. Stu said."

"Oh... okay."

"... What's taking Tatum so long?" - Randy asked.

"I'm turning the movie on, y'all!" - Stu signals to everyone.

Tatum opened the fridge and grabbed some beer bottles.

"Alright, I think that's enough for them."

She tried to open the door, but it was locked...?

"Huh?"

She pushed the door a little harder, but it didn't help.

"Hey! Not funny, okay? Open the door!"

Tatum's annoyed yelling was filtered out by the loud movie playing.

"Ugh, make it louder! As loud as a lawn mover! I want to feel Michael breathing down my neck!" - Stu said.

Randy looked around.

"Where did you throw the remote?" - He asks.

"Really funny. Just press the button on the TV. It should be there."

Randy walks over to the TV, putting down the beer bottle on the nightstand nearby in the process

"I don't see it."

"It's a + button in the front, you literally can't miss it, dude."

Randy turns up the volume and turns to leave, but while not paying attention he bumps into the nightstand, spilling the beer on the TV

"Watch where you're going!" - Stu called out

Sparks fly out of the monitor, barely landing on Randy.

"Holy fuck, I broke it."

"I'm never letting you touch my TV again, what the hell?"

"...RANDY!" - Sidney yelled out, trying to warn him.

The sparks flew onto the electrical cords, igniting them and exploding the TV.

Steve jumped out from the couch, trying to push Randy out of the way, but to no avail, he couldn't do it.

The TV exploded in Randy's face, killing him instantly and sending glass shards across the room, hitting Steve.

"STEVE! No!" - Casey screamed in horror.

Steve clutched his face in pain and agony as he tried to pull out the shards.

He stumbled back and fell on the couch, bleeding out.

Everyone started panicking and screaming. The flames have started to engulf the whole building.

Tatum leaned on the door, it was unpleasantly hot. She looked through the keyhole and saw the whole house on fire.

She could barely say anything.

She saw multiple people, including Stu running outside and terrified that she'd be forgotten, she called out.

"Open the fucking door already!" - She banged on the door again, screaming with all her strength, but no one heard her.

Casey tried to drag Steve outside, but she got pushed by other panicking partygoers that were rushing outside.

"Please! Anyone! He's bleeding out!" - Casey called out as hard as she could, despite suffocating in the smoke.

Sidney tried to run over to them, but the fire has already spread too much around Casey and Steve, blocking Sidney's path.

Sidney was forced to leave them behind.

She wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, to see another day. That thought pushed her forward.

Sidney ran towards the exit door, until she remembered.

"Tatum!"

She had to still be at the garage and Sidney had 2 choices. Either leave her friend behind and live or risk her life for Tatum...

"...Oh, god... Tatum!" - Sidney screamed as she started running to the door. It was locked.

"What the hell?!"

"Please, Sidney!" - Tatum screamed from the other side.

"Sid! Get out!" - Stu's voice called out from outside

"I can't! Tatum is still in there!"

"Just go, Sid! I'll get out through the garage door!"

"Are you sure?!"

"Yes! Please go!"

As the house's foundation started to collapse, a massive chunk of rubble fell onto the exit doors blocking off Sidney's way out.

"Get through the other door!" - Stu yelled out from the safety of the outside

Tatum tried to open the garage door with the remote, but it didn't work.

"Fuck... Why?!" - She thought to herself.

Tatum looked around quickly and noticed a doggy door. Maybe she could get out through there?

She ran over there quickly, barely avoiding another fiery explosion.

The heat was making her sweat and the fire has started to burn her shoe. She had to quickly throw it away.

Tatum crawled through the doggy door, but half of her body got stuck. Stu ran over to her.

"It's going to be okay, Tatum- you'll-"

"Just pull me out!"

"I'm trying!"

Stu desperately tried to pull Tatum out, but his efforts were useless. A broom falls down in the garage, hitting the remote button that miraculously started working again...

The garage door slowly opened... with Tatum still being stuck in it.

She screamed and begged Stu for help, but there was nothing he could do. Her skull was crashed by the garage door.

"No! Tatum...!" - He cried out, falling onto his knees in despair.

Sidney ran upstairs. Maybe she could get out through the window?

But the flames moved there as well. Sidney quickly ran into the bedroom and looked for the nearest window.

It was a 2 story jump and Sidney was scared, but she knew that if she didn't make that jump, she'd die.

Smoke slowly started to fill the room. It was now or never.

Sidney slowly got on the window and jumped, hitting the grass with her legs, sending her stumbling down.

Sidney laid on the grass, her legs were hurting like hell and she was too exhausted to get up.

She starts hearing a buzzing sound on her left. It was a lawn mover. It slides closer and closer to her face and-

Sidney wakes up.

And get some more beer on the way, okay?" - Stu said.

"Y'all already drank all that? Ugh, I'll be right back." - Tatum said and turned to leave.

"Wait, no!" - Sidney called out.

Tatum looked at her confused.

"...Did you want to go grab the beer? I mean, I don't mind, really."

"No, no, it's not... T-The whole building is about to explode...!"

"...Sidney, are you high?" - Stu asked.

"No! I saw it! I-I saw it clearly and, I-"

Sidney continued.

"Randy is gonna spill beer on your TV and it's gonna explode and the whole house will be on fire...! You gotta listen to me, please!"

"Wow, not cool, Randy." - Stu said.

"I'm getting out of here, I don't want to stay here." - Sidney muttered.

"Wait! I'm coming with you!" - Tatum called out.

"...Do you think we should go check on her?" - Steve asked Casey

"She sounded so disturbed. We might as well." - She replied.

Casey and Steve left the house.

"Aw, come on! Are y'all just leaving because of this one partypooper? I've spend a week planning this!" - Stu said in disappointment.

"Sorry, dude. I gotta go." - Randy said.

"Aw, dammit! You as well? I thought you'd have some backbone at least."

"I'll come back later, okay?"

"You better do!"

"Come on, Sidney. Tell me what you saw." - Tatum asked.

"Fire everywhere... Explosions. It was... horrible."

"Come on! Are y'all actually leaving now? Because of Sid?" - Stu's voice called out as he left outside.

"Come on, give her a break." - Tatum said.

Suddenly screams are heard from the house, then an explosion and almost in no time, the house was engulfed in flames.

"My house!" - Stu yelled out.

"...Sidney...?" - Casey stammered

"There's still people in there!" - Randy yelled.

An hour later, police, firefighters and reporters arrived. It was truly, a tragedy.

"This is Gale Weathers on Top Story. Today, this evening multiple teens were 'burned alive' inside Macher's residence. Apparently there could've been a lot more casualties if not for Sidney Prescott's 'clairvoyant' abilities. We'll be reporting on this case as it updates live only on Top Story."

Chapter 2: The Interrogation

Summary:

Sidney is taken into questioning by Sheriff Burke and Deputy Dewey Riley

Notes:

sorry 2nd chapter took so long :(

i don't even have any excuse for that, im just lazy lmao

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Sidney was sent to the police station for further questioning. No one seemed to believe that she just so happened to see a vision.

She sat in the interrogation room with Sheriff Burke and Deputy Dewey. The tension was palpable.

"Tell us everything that you know." - Burke said bluntly.

Sidney took a deep breath before speaking.

"I already did, but you don't even believe me."

Dewey put a hand on her shoulder.

"Sid, we're as confused as you are. We haven't had a case exactly like yours, so please help us understand."

"...I saw a vision of everyone dying in Stu's house and... I also saw myself die. That's when I woke up."

"How did you see it? Did anything special happen to cause it?" - Burke asked.

"No, no, it just sort of... appear."

"So you don't even know how your visions work?" - Burke asked again. He was disappointed.

"It's okay if you don't understand. Was this the first time you had a vision or were they regular?" - Dewey said calmly.

"...Actually- maybe not... During this week in my nightmares I kept seeing fireplaces and hearing screams. I don't know if it's related, but it's the closest thing to my vision."

"Alright. Noted." - Burke said, writing something in his notepad.

"Is there anything else you want to tell us?" - Dewey asked.

"No, I... No, there's nothing else. Can I leave now?"

Dewey glanced at Burke waiting for approval.

"Yes, you may leave. Your friends are waiting." - He said grudgingly.

Sidney turned to leave.

Dewey put a hand on her shoulder.

"Also, if, er, you see those 'visions' again, it'd be nice if you tell us, okay?"

"Yeah, I will."

Sidney left the room.

Tatum and Billy were waiting in the hall.

"Sidney!" - Tatum called out, happy to see her friend again.

Billy ran up to Sidney and hugged her.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you... What did they ask you?"

"About my vision... You know about the vision, right? Tatum told you?"

"Yes, she did."

"...Do you think I'm crazy? I mean, everyone does."

"What? No- no of course not! I believe you."

"Thanks..."

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but, Sid, there are 10 reporters waiting for you outside over there by the main entrance." - Tatum said, pointing at the main entrance.

Sidney took a glance at where Tatum pointed.

"Anything but that..."

"So if you want to avoid the press, then we have to leave through the back."

"What makes you think they're not clogging up that exit as well?"

"...We don't know that, but it's good to try, isn't it?" - Billy said.

They walked through the corridors until they reached the backdoor.

Billy left first, to check if the coast was clear.

"No one here."

"Good, good." - Tatum said, as she and Sidney followed Billy.

"Here she is! Kenny, get the camera!" - An unknown voice called out from the dark, approaching the group.

"Sidney, it's so nice to finally meet you! My name is Gale, now, can you tell our audience what happened at that party?"

Sidney recognized Gale. It was that reporter that is writing a book about her dead mother. Ugh.

Annoyance flashed across Tatum's face. "Just leave us alone, we're not answering any questions."

"Come on, Sidney. I just want people to hear about your story, your perspective!"

"No, Sidney, you don't have to answer." - Billy said.

"Why won't we let Sidney speak for herself, hm?"  - Gale held the mic closer to Sidney's face.

"...Yes, I'm a magician. I can see into the future, I'm crazy. Is that what you want to hear?" - Sidney said sarcastically.

"Exactly. Now say it like you mean it."

Sidney was slightly taken aback by the audacity. "Of course. Hey, I can tell you about *your* future."

"And what would that be?"

"In a few seconds, try not to fall, okay?"

"What?"

Sidney punched Gale's face, sending Gale stumbling onto the ground. Fortunately (or unfortunately) her cameraman catches Gale before her back could hit the concrete.

"Damn, nice shot!" - Tatum complimented Sidney.

"Where did you learn to punch like that?" - Billy asked jokingly as they walked away from the scene.

Chapter 3: The Memorial

Summary:

Woodsboro High is hosting a memorial and Randy managed to find some useful information regarding Sidney's vision.

Chapter Text

It has been a day since the house fire. The school has hosted a memorial.

While Principal Himbry was giving a speech, Sidney felt like everyone was looking at her.

However, in reality, most people were looking at Stu instead, some even blaming him for all those deaths.

Everyone got up to put down the flowers for their loved ones.

Sidney stared at the newly placed phoenix statue made out of silver. She placed a rose below it.

Stu slowly approached her.

"Hey, Sid..."

Sidney turned around to face him.

"I'm sorry I've acted like a dick earlier. Everyone thinks I'm responsible for the fire."

"You couldn't have known it would happen."

"Yeah, I think I'm never going to host another party ever again." - Stu chuckled awkwardly.

"Where have you been staying? After your house burned down."

"Well, it was difficult for me and my family, yes... But, we have pretty good insurance. I've been staying with Billy recently. He's a good friend."

"What about all those people who... you know."

"Oh, their families are mad as hell, my parents are too. I think we're going to get sued."

Sidney placed her hand on his shoulder. "It will get better eventually."

"I don't know, Sid. This situation's been pretty horrible to me, but I try to stay positive, you know? For everyone."

Sidney nodded.

"I better get going, thanks again, for understanding." - Stu said as he walked away.

From the distance Sidney noticed that Steve and Casey glancing at her while talking about something.

She tried to listen in, but before she could do that, Randy appeared.

"Sidney!"

"Oh, you scared me..."

"Sorry, sorry, um, I just wanted to talk."

"Right now? I don't think it's the right time."

"Sure, we could talk later, but it's really important."

"What is it?"

"It's about your power. There's been cases like that before."

"...I'm listening."

"Back in 1969, 27 years ago, Cloverdale, New York. Okay, um-"

Randy paused as he pulled out a notebook that he's been carrying around.

"I've written everything I learned in here." - He says as he opens it and reads.

"There was this Sky View Tower, and- and- there was this girl Iris Campbell and she had a vision, just like you!"

"...Is she still alive?"

"Yes, actually. She is. But this isn't the end of the story, you see, she actually did manage to stop the disaster! Saving everyone's lives, but, BUT! Each one of these survivors started dying one after another."

"Do you think it'll be the same for us?"

"I'm not sure, but it is a possibility."

"So what if it is true? I mean- how do we know who's in danger and who to save?"

"Iris has stated in one of the interviews that all the victims died in the same order as in her premonition. Who died first in your premonition, Sid?"

Sidney hesitated.

"Sidney? Oh god, it's me isn't it?"

"Yes..."

"Holy fuck, okay, okay... Look, I don't exactly know how this death stuff works, but if my theory is correct. I am in danger, and if I die then someone else will also be in danger. I just can't let this happen."

"So what are you gonna do? Lock yourself up?"

"Exactly."

"You know that there was a 'house' fire, right?"

"So what? Live outside for the rest of my life? Now that I think about it... It might be even more dangerous that way."

"...Just be careful, okay, Randy?"

"I will be. I won't let this stupid curse get me."

"Promise me."

Sidney reached out a hand to Randy.

He shaked it.

"I promise."

Chapter 4: The Struggle

Summary:

Randy is looking over his younger sister Martha, but something horrible happens.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

After the memorial has concluded, Randy walked to his home.

It had already started to rain at that point.

"Martha, you there?" - He called out.

"Yeah." - His sisters' voice called out from upstairs.

"You hungry?"

"Yeah."

Because Randy's parents were at work, he was tasked with looking over his younger sister while they were gone.

He entered the kitchen and opened the fridge, taking out some bacon and eggs.

As he cracked the eggs on the pan, he made sure to be extra cautious around the stove. Who knows what could happen? He wasn't much of a cook either.

After he was done cooking he told Martha to go downstairs.

They sat down at the table.

"...How was school?" - Randy asked.

"It's fine."

A slight pause.

"How was the memorial?" - Martha asked.

"It was... sad. I mean, so many people died and I could have been one of them."

"...Really?"

"Well, my friend managed to get me out of there in time."

"Who was it?"

"Sidney."

"Oh, that girl? The one you're so deeply in love with?"

"Wait- wait, hold on, who told you that?"

"I'm not stupid, Randy." - Martha chuckled.

"Okay, IF what you're saying is true-"

Martha interrupted Randy.

"Not *if*, it is."

"No, Sid's got a boyfriend."

"Oh, and who's that lucky guy?"

"...Billy Loomis."

"Never heard of him."

"Yeah, good for you."

Martha finished eating her meal.

"Isn't Sidney like a magician of sorts?" - She said.

"You watched the news, didn't you?'

"Of course, there was nothing else to watch. I mean, I've already watched through all of your movies."

"Oh wow, how was the binge then?"

"Well, now that I finally watched those horror movies of yours I can say... They are so cool!"

Randy chuckled.

"Which one was your favorite?"

"Probably The Thing. So gnarly."

"Aren't you a little too young to be watching that?" - Randy teased.

"I'm 13, and geniunely who cares? It's your fault for not hiding your discs better."

"Fair."

"...What about the broadcast? I didn't get to watch it." - Randy said.

"Oh, they said a lot of stuff about your 'friend'."

"Like what?"

"That she is 'aggressive and unstable'. She punched a reporter in the face. Or, I mean, at least they claim she did."

Randy chuckled again. "Yep, Sidney isn't too keen on giving interviews, isn't she?"

"I would never have the guts to do that. Just... wow." - Martha said

"...Hey, how about we go watch some movies at the cinema later? There have to be some new horror movies there." - Martha said excitedly.

"Would our parents allow you to watch those, though?"

"Ugh, just don't tell what movie we'll be watching. Tell them that we'll be watching something safe for kids."

"What about the movie workers?"

"I don't think they care. If they do, then just.... tell them that *you* allow me to watch these kinds of movies and it'll all be okay."

"...Maybe... fine, how about tomorrow?"

"Yeah, of course! Thanks, bro."

"Wouldn't want to gatekeep perfect classics from a newly interested horror fan."

Randy got up.

"I'm gonna go take a shower."

"Yeah, you reek."

"No? It's just basic hygiene. You gotta learn about that someday, Martha"

"Whatever."

As Randy walked, he noticed an unusually open window.

"Hey, did you open that window over there?" - He called out.

"Which one?"

"The one next to the bathroom."

"No?"

"Weird." - Randy said and closed the window.

Instead of going into the bathroom, he decided to look around.

"What are you doing?" - Martha asked.

"Looking around. What if someone got in. It's basic horror movie stuff."

"You're too paranoid."

"Really? I think you'd know after watching all of my movies that it's a bad sign. Like, why was that window open?"

"Okay, detective. Go search around for the evil killer in a mask then. I'm just gonna stay in the living room."

Randy picked up a bottle as a makeshift weapon.

"Go show 'em, Randy." - Martha said, her tone filled with sarcasm.

He continued walking around, checking every single nook and cranny, until he reached the final closet.

He slowly opened it, clutching a bottle tightly in his hand, getting ready for something to pounce on him, and... there was nothing.

"Of course." - He said and closed it.

Martha jumped out from the side.

"BOO!" - She screamed.

Randy instinctually almost sent a bottle flying into her face.

"Fuck! I swear if you keep doing that, one of these days, I *will* end up punching you! How did you even get there???"

"I sneaked. I thought you'd notice, but damn, you almost hit me with that! My life flashed right before my eyes over here."

"I guess that makes us equal."

"Not really, you could have injured me and mom and dad would be really angry."

"Yeah, sorry about that."

"Why are you so tense anyway? Like, why would anyone break into *our* house specifically?"

Randy paused for a moment, before saying. "You know, um, since that house fire, I really don't want it to happen again, okay?"

"Yeah, I'm surprised that didn't happen again while you were cooking."

"I'm not *that* bad at it."

"Mhm."

"Look, okay, I'm gonna go take a bath. Don't bother me, seriously."

"Sure, sure. Never wanted to."

Randy walked away into the bathroom, still holding the bottle just in case.

He locked the door behind him, just in case if any psycho wants to Marion Crane his ass.

The floor was a little wet.

"Is the toilet leaking again?" - He thought to himself.

He wouldn't normally concern himself with a possibility of slipping, but in these circumstances he made sure to tread carefully.

Randy started filling up the bath with water and removing clothes from the clothesline above as he looked into the mirror, deciding to brush his teeth.

Meanwhile Martha sat in the living room, watching TV, before hearing a phone call.

She picked it up.

"Hey?" - She said.

Sidney's voice seemed distressed. "Martha, hi, um, could you give Randy the phone?"

"No, he's taking a bath right now."

"Oh, Martha, please listen, tell him to get out of there, RIGHT NOW!"

"Why?"

"He is in danger, you hear me? He is going to die if he stays there."

"You're kidding, no way. How would he even die? Slip and fall into the bathtub? As if."

"Martha, please, this is not a joke. I'm serious."

"Ugh... Okay, since you're so concerned about him... I'll go check."

"Thank you... Thank you."

After Randy finished brushing his teeth, he walked towards the bath. Unbeknownst to him, his shoes were slippery.

He fell into the bathtub, making the clothesline tangle around his neck in a suffocating grip.

All of Randy's clothing drenched from the bathwater as he struggled to get out.

He tried to scream for his sister's help, but was unable to.

Martha knocked on the door.

"Hey, your friend called."

She waited a bit for a response, not getting one for some reason.

"Randy, are you deaf?" - She raised her voice.

"I'm coming in."

She tried to open the door, only to realize that it was locked.

"Hey, Randy!" - Her voice intensified, she was starting to panic a little.

"Sidney called, she said that you are in danger... Just open the door."

No response again. Martha was getting more and more terrified. She leaned on the door, hearing sounds of struggle and choking.

"Randy, I'm breaking the door!"

Martha bashed into it. The steady frame successfully enduring her attempt.

She bashed into it again. Realizing that her attempts were futile, she had to think of a better plan.

She rushed into the garage, snatching her father's axe. It felt too heavy, but it didn't matter.

Martha hit the door with the axe, puncturing it.

"Randy, hold on there, okay?" - She called out, still not receiving an answer.

She was already ready for the worst outcomes, but she pushed away those thoughts.

After finally breaking through, Martha was shocked.

"Randy- Randy, no!"

She ran over to him, still laying in the tub.

Her hands were shaking as she carefully unwrapped the clothesline from his neck and carried him onto the floor.

"Randy, please wake up." - She cried out

He didn't wake up.

Sidney ran towards the house, thinking there was still a chance of saving Randy, but she was met with paramedics dragging out his dead body.

Martha sat on the porch, her parents comforting her.

Sidney slowly approached her.

"Sidney... How did you know he was gonna die...?"

Sidney paused for a second, before saying. "I'm sorry I was late. I... can we talk alone for a second?". She glanced at Martha's parents.

"Yeah, sure..."

They both walked away slightly.

"So are you gonna explain anything?" - Martha said. Her tone filled with confusion and maybe a little bit of anger.

"I had a vision. I saw Randy die."

"...A vision. Yeah."

"You don't believe me?"

"No, no, I do, otherwise how would you even know and... You *did* predict that house fire... But, I just don't understand... why Randy? He- he didn't deserve this!"

Martha started to tear up.

"He didn't... I wish I could have been there to save him."

"I wish I would have believed you faster. Maybe if I started acting quicker, then maybe-"

Sidney stopped Martha from trailing off. "It's not your fault. It's my fault. I should have been more cautious, I- I should have stayed with him..."

Martha calmed down a little. "I need you to tell me everything about your visions, please."

"...Randy had a notebook. It's probably in his room. You need to read it. It will explain everything."

"...I will, thanks Sidney..."

They both share a hug, a reminder that they are always there for each other. Especially in moments like these.

Chapter 5: The Acceptance

Summary:

This chapter features: Sidney, Billy and Casey

Sidney wasn't doing so well. After the death of her close friends she fell into depression and closed herself off and became increasingly more paranoid each day. It was becoming a real issue. Her grades fell, but most importantly her relationship with Billy was falling apart.

Billy couldn't just watch Sidney destroy herself from inside out.

Chapter Text

It has been two weeks since Randy's death. The media attention died down, but there were still some people theorizing about the whole incident. Ahem, Gale.

Sidney wasn't doing so well. After the death of her close friends she fell into depression and closed herself off, becoming increasingly more paranoid each day. It was becoming a real issue. Her grades fell down, but most importantly her relationship with Billy was falling apart.

He tried comforting her, telling her everything is okay, but it wasn't okay. To Sidney it felt like he was downplaying the tragedies.

Sidney stood in front of her locker, taking out her books. When she closed the locker Billy appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

"Billy! You scared me!" - Sidney yelped

"Sidney, we need to talk." - Billy said in a dead-serious tone.

"About what?"

"It's about you, Sidney. How you've been acting. We never spend time anymore and it's not just me, you've cut off everyone. Tatum, Stu, everyone!"

Sidney stared at Billy for a small moment, trying to find the right words.

"...Billy, I- I need more time, alright? Unlike you I can't just forget and move on like it never happened. I'm sure everyone else would understand."

"It's been two weeks. You can't change the past by re-thinking about it over and over again, you need to move on and live for everyone that died in that fire. For Randy."

Sidney didn't say anything.

"Sidney, please. Everyone is concerned about you. We just want to help, talk to us- talk to *me*!"

"It's easy for you to say that. You didn't see the fire, you didn't see Randy's body being dragged out like a ragdoll. I just need time to... process everything that has happened to me."

Billy took a deep breath before saying:

"I get it. Yeah, now I feel like an asshole."

"No, no, it's fine."

"You get what I'm saying though, right?"

"Yeah, but I'm still so scared."

"Have you been getting any new of your premonitions?"

"Well, no-"

"Then it's over, Sid. The nightmare is over. We can all live on without Death breathing down our necks."

"...But what about Iris and her premonitions? They didn't stop. Everyone died, except for her and... someone else, I think."

"It's *her* premonitions. *Yours* are over. There were a lot of opportunities for Death to get us, but it didn't. This is bad for your mental health." - Billy said.

Sidney sighed slightly

"I'm just... I still need some time."

"Fine, we can talk later then. Tomorrow?"

Sidney nodded.

There was an awkward silence between them for a moment.

"I'll just go." - Billy said.

"Goodbye..." - Sidney waved her hand slightly.

Sidney watched as Billy left, but instead of going to her house, she decided to sit on the fountain to reflect.

Sidney felt... guilt. All those two weeks she's been too paranoid to even eat or drink if that meant she could choke and die and because of that she neglected her friends and isolated herself.

Before Sidney could self-blame herself even more she heard a familiar voice next to her.

"Sidney?"

It was Casey, one of Sidney's classmates. They had a few conversations here and there, nothing too significant. Which is why she was so surprised that Casey even approached her.

As Sidney stared at her classmate, she couldn't stop but remember the premonition. The way Casey tried saving Steve through the fire, dragging him to safety.

Now that Sidney thinks about it, did they even die? She never saw them dying, just fire blocking her way towards them.

"Sidney." - Casey called out again, more insistently. Sidney was staring for far too long.

"Oh, sorry, do you need anything?" - Sidney said, still unsure of Casey's intentions.

"I couldn't help but eavesdrop on your conversation with Billy, I'm sorry about that. I just... have something for you."

Casey handed Sidney a small giftbox.

"...What is it?"

"Wait, don't open it now, though. It's a surprise!"

"When do I open it then?"

"Well, I have to say this to you... Me and Steve are... very grateful for you saving our and others lives two weeks ago. I-I know it sucks for you to get reminded of that incident, but me and my family are moving out of Woodsboro to another country, so... this is just something you can remember me by."

"Wow... You're actually grateful for that?"

"You saved lives, Sidney. Of course I am grateful."

"...I guess I couldn't notice that beneath all the people I *couldn't* save."

"Don't think about it. They didn't listen to you and you tried your best."

"I did..."

There was a small pause between them.

"So what about Steve? Did you tell those news to anybody else?"

Casey sighed.

"Me and Steve had to break up. We wouldn't be able to see each other at all and... You're actually the first person I'm telling this. My flight is tomorrow."

"Do you want me to tell everyone that you're leaving?"

"Yeah, you can. I wouldn't be around to do so."

"It was nice knowing you, Sidney. Even if we almost never interacted. Goodbye"

"Goodbye." - Sidney said back.

Chapter Text

Before Chapter 5.

Casey had a sit down with her parents. They told her that they had to move out and leave Woodsboro for good. Casey was rightfully upset, but she couldn't cancel the flight as the tickets were already bought.

Casey was left in her room to pack her stuff, but before she left she wanted to tell Steve.

As Casey walked through the corridors she felt somber knowing that she would never see Woodsboro or her friends again.

Steve noticed her approaching.

"Casey!" - He said excitedly and hugged her.

It was a brief hug and after they pulled away Steve said:

"Just wanted to confirm, you're going to the game, right?"

"...About that, Steve... No."

"Why not....?"

"Me and my family are moving out, so..."

"Wait, wait, now hold on here. Why?!"

"It's real bullshit, I'm really sorry it's just out of my control."

Steve was at a loss for words.

"I- I-"

Casey placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Steve... You know what that means, right? We won't be able to talk anymore and... We're going to break up."

Those words really hurt Steve, but it hurt Casey even more just saying them.

"Fuck. Just... Fuck, Casey, I-  This is all a little too fast... What am I going to do?"

Casey sighed.

"You'll find someone else. Someone better. I think that would be pretty easy for you."

Casey chuckled slightly while saying the last part.

"Okay, but I'll never find a girl like you. I'll do my best at the game. I'll win this for you. Not like I wasn't going to win this for you before, but... Now I'm really going to win!"

"Of course, doofus."

Casey kissed Steve one last time.

Present Day.

"Alright, team listen up!" - Steve shouted, his voice slightly echoing in the locker room.

"We're going to win this game and if you need some more motivation just remember what we're fighting for! Now, what are we fighting for?" - Steve continued.

There was a slight pause.

"We're fighting for our town. Our Woodsboro and we're GOING to win this!"

Steve's team cheered, raising their hands up in fists.

"Now let's go and show them what Woodsboro's capable of!"

The team left the locker room and onto the field, ready for the big game.

Steve looked at the stadium and saw the entire school there. He smiled, this was his big moment to prove his worth.

Sidney stood in the crowd with her friends, watching closely for any sign of danger.

"Sid, lighten up." - Stu said.

Sidney looked at Gale in the distance, reporting the game. Just the sight of her made her want to vomit .

"This is Gale Weathers from Top Story and today I am reporting on this spectacular american football match between Woodsboro and Ravenwood. Go Woodsboro!"

Everything about that was so fake, Sidney knew Gale couldn't care less about Woodsboro *or* Ravenwood.

"You okay, Sid?" - Billy asked.

Sidney looked away from Gale and looked at Billy.

"I'm just a little concerned for Casey. She's going on a plane after all."

"Probability of plane crashes is less than car crashes" - Billy said.

"Yeah, but they're more deadly." - Stu chimed in

"Dude, don't scare her." - Billy retaliated.

Meanwhile Casey sat on the bench inside the airport.

"Honey, is everything okay?" - Her mother asked.

"Yeah, yeah. I just wish Steve was here."

"Steve... Well, he's probably thinking about you right now."

Casey didn't say anything.

"Everything will be okay. You always wanted to go to Paris, didn't you?"

"Yeah, I guess.." - Casey said.

Mr. Becker approached.

"We need to go."

Casey got up and hesitantly followed her parents to the plane.

As she entered, she couldn't help but look back.

"Goodbye Woodsboro. Goodbye Steve." - She thought to herself and entered the plane.

During the first 5 minutes nothing interesting happened. Everyone was still getting in, but just as the flight was about to start...

"We need to get out of here!" - An unfamiliar voice's scream echoed throughout the entire place.

"This plane is going to crash and we're all going to die!" - The man continued screaming. The flight attendants were trying their best, but they couldn't shut him up.

The man got into a fight and he had to be kicked off the plane.

"God, these people..." - Mr. Becker said quietly.

"We apologize for the disturbance, our mechanics are going to check the plane's status and we will start the flight shortly." - a pilot's voice called out from the speakers.

Casey couldn't shake off that weird feeling in her gut. That man was acting exactly the same as Sidney did at the party.

20 minutes later, pilot's voice called out from the speaker's again.

"Don't worry, passengers. We are all good. Our lead engineers have confirmed that we are ready to take off. I apologize again for the delay, you busy folks definitely have better stuff to do than wait around..."

"Finally... I was wondering if they just gave up." - Mr. Becker said.

Even though every other passenger felt relieved, Casey was definitely not. This was all too similar and her already existing fear of planes added onto that.

"Sweetie? You look pale..." - Mrs. Becker said in a concerned tone.

"I- I just..."

Casey had to find the right words.

"I want to leave."

"Leave? Why?" - Her mother asked.

"I... I've seen this before. Sidney-"

"Oh, don't you mention that crazy girl." - Mr. Becker said pessimistically.

"Crazy? She's not- she saved my life!"

"Maybe she did, but we're not leaving this plane. Pilot confirmed everything is okay." - Mr. Becker retaliated.

"I don't believe this. How could it only take 15 minutes? They barely checked!"

"Calm down... You're making a scene" - Mrs. Becker chimed in.

Casey could feel the plane was about to take off and she wasn't going to just gamble whether the plane would actually catch on fire or no. She had to do something.

So she did something.

She *screamed* something.

"I HAVE A BOMB!"

The Becker family was immediately kicked out of the plane and taken to the police station. In the end Casey either just ruined her live for nothing or she just saved herself and her parents...

Casey sat in the interrogation room. Sitting across her was Deputy Dewey. He stared at her for a moment.

"Casey... Let me get this straight. You were on a plane."

"Yeah."

"There was a guy that yelled about the plane crashing."

"Yeah."

"Then when your parents stopped you from leaving you yelled that you had a bomb?"

"...Yeah."

This yeah was a little more sheepish than the others, mainly because Casey was ashamed to admit that.

"...I don't think I'm supposed to be telling you this, but we also interrogated that guy before you and he said he had a vision. You heard about Sidney's visions, right?" - Dewey said, leaning in slightly.

"Yeah, she... saved mine and Steve's lives and I thought he would also save my life."

"Well, we can't exactly tell if his vision was true or not, the flight has been delayed and hasn't taken off yet, but I think he's right."

"Even if he is right, my parents are going to kill me... I just... ruined my life for this."

"You didn't ruin your life, okay? Don't say that... About your parents, well there's not much I can do about that, but maybe I could talk to them, okay? Does that make you feel better?"

"I guess... I don't know."

There was a pause between them.

"You should probably go now. I'll tell Sidney about this, is that okay with you?"

"Yeah, yeah..."

Casey left the interrogation room, leaving Dewey alone.

Casey tried to go outside but her parents noticed.

"Where do you think you're going?" - Her dad asked.

"I'm going to the game. I need to see Steve."

"No, you won't be seeing Steve. You are in trouble." - He continued.

"Please, dad I just-"

"No, do you even think about the consequences? We were kicked out and now we're forced to pay a massive fine because of your paranoia!"

Dewey managed to overhear the conversation. He stepped out of the room.

"Hey, Mr and Mrs. Becker?"

The parents turned their heads towards the deputy.

"What?" - Mr. Becker asked.

"I just need to ask y'all some questions. Standard procedure."

"What about our daughter?" - Father asked.

"She will be escorted home by one of our other officers. Don't worry."

Mr. and Mrs. Becker reluctantly entered the interrogation room. Dewey winked at Casey before closing the door.

Meanwhile Steve was going all out on the field, working together with his team and scoring points.

It wasn't enough, however. The opposing team scored again. They had to think of a plan.

"Alright, team. This isn't working. They are actually going to win if we don't step our game up. Why do y'all think they're winning?"

"They know our tactics?" - One of the team members said.

"Exactly! That's why we need a switch up! Kevin, you go on defense this time, got it?" - Steve commanded

"Got it..."

"Great, Jason? You're replacing Kevin on the offence."

"Dude, I'm not made for this!" - Jason said.

"Not with that attitude. You got it, man." - Steve supported.

"Fine..."

"Hmm... We've been throwing the ball to John too much. Sean, make it look like you'll do that again, but instead throw the ball to me. Got it?"

"Yep..."

"Alright, team. I think we're all set. Just remember. This is the final round and everything depends on it."

Steve started chanting

"Woodsboro, let's go! Woodsboro let's go!"

Not long after, the entire team chanted, boosting their morale.

"Let's show Ravenwood how it's done!" - Steve said energetically.

The teams stood on the field. Steve glanced back at his teammates. They were ready.

The opposing team was a little confused by the change in positioning, but they kept their cool. When the game started Steve and his team played according to plan. Sean managed to successfully deceive the team into turning their attention to John while Steve ran with the ball.

However, their time was running out, so Steve knowing he won't be able to score a touchdown decided to go for a field goal.

Casey stared from the crowd in awe as Steve punted the ball across the field with all his strength.

Everyone's attention was on the ball in the air and... What is that plane?

The confusion on Steve's face quickly turned into horror as the plane was falling down onto the field.

Steve tried to get out of it's way, but it was just too fast.

Casey let out a glass piercing scream when she saw what was unfolding.

The impact was immediate. Plane debris flew into the crowd.

Everyone acted differently, Steve, his and the opposing team were immediately crushed and engulfed in flames, Casey was too far away to be hit by the flying metal, Billy pulled Stu down from the shockwave, some sharp glass shards flew into Tatum's stomach.

Tatum screamed in pain, clutching her stomach as she felt blood dripping down. The shards were deep inside.

But Sidney had it the worst, she was unable to duck in time and because of that, a metal shard flew right into her eye. The impact was so strong, Sidney was thrown back, hitting her head hard against the other seat.

"Sidney!" - Tatum screamed and tried to get her friend back up.

"Fuck! She's gonna die! We need to get her out!" - Tatum continued.

"Just look at yourself, you won't be able to! Let us do it!" - Stu insisted.

As they were arguing, the fire spread, engulfing half of the stadium already.

"Let's go! We don't have time for this!" - Billy yelled

Billy quickly ran over to grab Sidney, but she was too heavy.

"Stu, do something and help me!" - Billy commanded.

"Okay, okay dude!"

Billy and Stu started to drag Sidney's limp body out of danger.

Tatum wasn't staying behind either, even though she was injured she managed to lead the way.

Meanwhile, Casey was sitting on the ground, absolutely terrified and shaking. Her boyfriend was just killed in the worst way possible right in front of her.

Tatum ran over to Casey.

"We don't have time, Tatum, run!" - Billy called out.

"I'm not just going to leave her!" - Tatum said. She was offended at the idea of leaving a classmate behind.

"Grab my hand." - She said to Casey.

"Y-You're injured..." - Casey said, her voice was still shaky.

"Thanks, I'm fine. Are you gonna grab my hand or no?"

Casey hesitantly grabbed Tatum's hand and they started running to the exit.

Tatum looked around, not seeing Stu and Billy anywhere. She noticed Gale, stuck in the rubble.

"Help me!" - Gale screamed as she couldn't pry her leg away.

Tatum glanced between Gale and the exit.

"Casey, help me get her out."

Casey looked around desperately.

"The exit is going to get blocked...!"

"Then we'll find another one. Help me get her out." - Tatum repeated

Casey and Tatum ran over to injured Gale and tried to pull her out.

"Ugh, it's too heavy!" - Tatum said.

"No, no, don't even think about leaving me here!" - Gale yelled.

"We're not going to, just- shit, hold on there!"

Tatum and Casey tried again, harder this time, putting all of their strength into this. They managed to barely get Gale out.

Gale got out, her leg was injured and sore.

"You can walk, right? We can't carry you..." - Tatum said.

"I can walk fine, just..." - Gale winced as she tried walking away.

"... let's get the fuck out of here." - She continued.

But unfortunately their closest exit got blocked by fire.

"I-I know a way!" - Casey said, pointing to the opposite side of the football field.

"You better be right about this." - Tatum said.

They ran as fast as they could to the last exit, but Gale was staying behind... mainly because of the horrendous pain in her leg.

"You can barely walk!" - Tatum said.

"I'm fine!"

"Ugh, just let me..." - Tatum said and pulled Gale towards her, supporting her weight.

"Casey, you're going to help me?"

"I- Yeah." - She said and helped carry injured Gale.

As they made it to the exit Gale collapsed onto the ground out of relieve. She looked up at Tatum and terrified Casey in gratitude as several ambulances approached. She will remember this

Sidney, Tatum, Gale and other injured classmates were dragged out by the medics. Casey took a deep breath as she watched the cars drive away. She was still pretty shaken up.

Her parents ran up to her.

"Casey! Casey!" - Her mother exclaimed and hugged her.

Her father also joined the hug

"We were so worried about you, why were you here?" - He asked.

"...I just wanted to see Steve. I didn't think this would-"

"No, no, it's okay... It's okay... You're alive. You were right about that plane..." - Her mother comforted.

Casey broke down into tears.

Notes:

haii, hope y'all enjoyed this new chapter.

sorry if the way i wrote the football game is inaccurate or something. I never actually played that game, let alone watched it (;ŏ﹏ŏ)

Ooo is Sidney alive or no? You will find out. Eventually.
Maybe. If I don't stop writing for this fic and return after like 3 months. Again.

(edit; decided to edit Gale into this chapter to give her more plot relevance later on because I genuinely had no idea what to do with her character. Hope y'all like this change if y'all even noticed lol)
