In South Port,  NC

At Ray's bar.

(Ray's behind the counter making someone's order and talking with a customer as acouple of people walk into the bar and over to the counter to order their drinks.)

Mark: Why are we here again?
Kate: Mark you haven't left Los Angeles since Kirby was killed.
Mark: Neither has Sidney and I don't see her here.

(Kate and Reagan look at him as he laughs at them and then she points behind him. He turns and looks at him. And it hits him on why they brought him here.)

Mark: Seriously?
Reagan: Mark for the first time in a year we finally have something on the person who killed Three people two of which were innocent.
Kate: And if we want answers he's our best bet.
Mark: I.
Reagan: We need their help.

(Mark looks at them and then back at him.)

Kate: Mark!
Mark: Why the hell couldn't it just be fucken Ghostface? Why the hell did it have to him?
Reagan: We don't know.

(Mark walks over to him.)

Mark: Ray!

(He looks over at him and smiles at him.)

Ray: Mark!

(Mark waves at him. As he gets to him he claps hands with him and pulls him in for a hug then he pulls away from him.)

Mark: How you been man?
Ray: Good. How about you?
Mark: I've had my up's and downs. Mainly up's.
Ray: We heard. How old is little Kirby now?
Mark: She's actually gonna be a year in a couple of a days.
Ray: Wow.
Mark: Yeah. It's been a year since her name sake was killed and it still doesn't feel right.
Ray: No I get it.
Mark: I'm glad someone does.

(He laughs at him as he notices Mark get serious.)

Ray: What's going on?
Mark: Okay um. I was hoping not to bring this up right away.
Ray: What's up?

(Mark asks for the folder and Kate hands it to him.)

Mark: The LAPD along with the NYPD have been looking into a number of murders that have happened in the Los Angeles and Manhattan area.
Ray: Okay.
Mark: Danny Reagan and his partner finally caught a picture of the person who they believe did these attacks.

(He shows him the folder and Ray opens it to see what's in it. Opening it he looks through the photos and sees just how bad the attacks happened.)

Mark: The first set attacks were done on former District Attorney Robert Cardone. LAPD detective Lee Langford and FBI agent Kirby Reed.

(Ray looks at him and can see the carnage of what the killer did.)

Ray: Gees.
Mark: Yeah. We didn't really put two and two together as far as Kirby goes. Because she had been beaten to death.
Ray: What made you guys finally see there was more to her death?
Mark: Hook marks.

(Ray looks at him as he looks at the photo and quickly pulls his phone out to call his wife. Then Mark walks over to Kate and Reagan.)

Reagan: Hey.
Mark: This sucks.
Kate: I know talking about Kirby is still rough.
Mark: Yeah. But there is one other thing I do know and I haven't even told Maggie.
Kate: What?
Mark: Nicolas Brody is alive.

(They both look at him and then to each other.)

Reagan: And you haven't told Maggie yet?
Mark: No.
Kate: Why not?
Mark: I don't know. And I know the longer I keep this from her the more pissed at me she will be.
Reagan: Yes she will be. And you saw how quickly alot of secrets got into Drew's hands.
Mark: Yeah thanks to Trina's new boy toy.
Kate: Yeah.
Mark: When we get back to LA I'll tell her.
Kate: Okay.
Ray: Hey.
Mark: Hey.
Ray: Julie's not answering so I'm gonna go to the collage she works at and talk to her there.
Mark: Okay.
Reagan: Maybe Mark can go with you.

(Mark looks at her as she starts laughing.)

Mark: Why would I need to go with him to talk to his wife? I have issues I'll call my own.

(Ray starts laughing at Reagan's face. Then Mark's phone goes off he grabs it out to see who it is. Seeing the number he smiles at it and answers it.)

Mark: Hey you.

(He grabs Ray and they both walk out of the bar.)

Reagan: What?
Kate: You're bad.
Reagan: What?

(She walks off laughing at her.)

Outside of the bar.

(Mark's on the phone with Maggie.)

Mark: Do they have any security camera footage of him?
Maggie: As of right now. No they don't.
Mark: Okay.
Maggie: You are right?
Mark: Yeah. I'm here with Ray. He's on his way out to go and talk to his wife.
Maggie: Okay.

(Then she hears the baby and laughs.)

Maggie: Hey honey. I'm gonna go. The baby is crying.
Mark: Okay. I love you.

(Maggie smiles on the other end.)

Maggie: I love you too.

(Then he hangs up with her smiling as his phone goes off again. And he answers it.)

Mark: Raven!
Raven: Mark we've got a problem.
Mark: What?
Raven: There was another attack.

(Mark looks at Kate and Reagan.)

Mark: What?
Raven: Son of a bitch managed to get into New San Francisco and attacked someone.

(Mark looks off annoyed.)

Mark: Who the hell did he go after?

(Raven looks over at him and nearly loses it.)

Raven: The fucker went after Adam.

Mark: Raven!
Raven: Mark we've got a problem.
Mark: What?
Raven: There was another attack.

(Mark looks at Kate and Reagan.)

Mark: What?
Raven: Son of a bitch managed to get into New San Francisco and attacked someone.

(Mark looks off annoyed.)

Mark: Who the hell did he go after?

(Raven looks over at him and nearly loses it.)

Raven: The fucker went after Adam.

(Mark puts his head down as he calls out to Ray Who runs back over to him.)

Ray: What happened?
Mark: The fucker attacked again.
Ray: What? Where?
Mark: New San Francisco.

(He looks at him and then looks off annoyed.)

Ray: Shit. Okay. Let go and tell Julie and we'll meet you guys at the airport.
Mark: Okay.

(He nods his head at him as Mark turns and looks at Kate and Reagan who can see the look on Mark's face.)

Kate: Adam wouldn't be hiding a secret would he?
Mark: I don't know. I knew Langford was. I don't know if Cardone was hiding a secret.
Reagan: What about Kirby?
Mark: I couldn't tell you.
Reagan: Mark!
Mark: I don't know. The only one who would of known that would of been Kirby.
Reagan: Okay.

The following day.

In New San Francisco.

At their hospital.

(Mark and the others rush into the hospital and over to Raven.)

Mark: Raven!

(She turns and looks at him.)

Raven: Mark!

(As he gets to her she hugs him and he looks at his sister in law and wife as he kisses his ex's head then pulls away from her.)

Mark: How is he?
Raven: He's in surgery right now. But the doctors said whoever attacked him did one hell of a job on him.
Mark: Shit.
Maggie: Mark!

(He looks at her and walks over to her as he gets to her she kisses him then pulls away from her.) Mark: You okay?

Maggie: Yeah he didn't come after me. Just everyone else around us.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: So.
Mark: We were with Ray in South Port when Raven called told us about Adam.
Maggie: Yeah. I had to grab Kirby and come here to be with her.
Mark: I know.
Maggie: What's wrong?
Mark: Nothing. Just worried about Adam. Whatever it is that's bothering me can wait.
Maggie: I know Nicolas Brody is alive.

(Mark looks at her and then looks off.)

Mark: How did you?
Maggie: His wife called your phone while you in the shower and I didn't wanna be the jealous wife.
Mark: I didn't wanna keep that he was alive away from you.
Maggie: So why did you?
Mark: I'm not gonna make any excuses and I'm just gonna say I don't know. I know I should of trusted you. I should of but.
Maggie: He's your friend.
Mark: Yeah. I wasn't about to use the I served with him in the military because well I was Army and he was a Marine.

(She laughs at him.)

Maggie: Did Kirby know?
Mark: No. I found out about him being alive after Kirby was killed.
Maggie: Okay.
Mark: I'm sorry I kept it from you.
Maggie: It's okay. Just don't keep something that important away from me again.
Mark: Yes dear.

(She laughs at him as he hugs her. He buries his face into his wife's neck. Then he pulls away from her as someone else walks into the hospital and over to their Communities leader.)

Raven: Hey.

(She looks up at her and Raven laughs.)

Raven: Hey.
Raven: How is he?
Raven: Still in surgery.

(Mark hearing the voice turns and looks at her and then to his wife.)

Maggie: You know who that is?
Mark: I do actually.
Maggie: Who is she?
Mark: She's Noah's sister. And Kelly Minton's ex girlfriend.

(Maggie looks over at her.)

Maggie: I heard so much about her and her girlfriend.
Mark: Let me guess?
Maggie: Ted Minton wasn't her biggest fan.
Mark: Yeah and we all know Minton isn't Mickey's biggest fan.

(Maggie looks at him and laughs.)

Maggie: Mickey doesn't have very many of those.
Mark: Not really true.
Maggie: What?
Mark: He's got you Hayley and Lorna as his fans.

(Maggie laughs at her husband and she pushes him.)

Mark: Not to mention Cisco and Izzie.
Maggie: Mark!
Mark: What?

(As they get to them Mark sees her and smiles as Raven introduces them and Mark laughs.)

Mark: Oh I know who she is.
Raven: How?
Mark: I know her brothers.

(Raven looks at her ex and he smiles at her.)

Sidney: Do we need to ask how you know her brothers?
Mark: Noah i met while I was here visiting her and Adam. Thomas is my families attorney.
Sidney: Oh. I'm shutting up then.
Mark: You don't have too.
Raven: So how do you know her?
Mark: Oh Personally I don't. I've heard stories from her brothers about her so.
Raven: Yeah. My brothers tell lies.
Mark: Oh so your not a smartass?
Raven: I pled the fifth.
Mark: Of course you do.

(She laughs at him.)

Raven: Anyway. You two okay?
Mark: Yeah. We were just talking about someone i wish I could go and beat on. And No i don't actually wish it.

(They start laughing at him.)

Raven: He's no fun.
Sidney: Oh no he's a lot of fun. Just ask my sisters.

(The New Raven looks at her and then to Mark whose got his head down trying to keep from blushing.)

Mark: You guys all suck.
Sidney: I'm sure we do.
Mark: Anyway.

(They all continue to laugh at the blush on Mark's face.)

Mark: So Raven.
Raven: What?
Mark: How long have you been at New San Francisco?
Raven: Five months?
Mark: Oh okay.

(He looks off as they continue to laugh at him.)

Raven: Mark what the fuck is wrong with you?
Mark: I just realized i had met her.
Raven: How?
Mark: I was visiting Thomas in New San Fran and she was there.
Raven: Okay?
Mark: I had asked Thomas to use the restroom.
Sidney: Oh god.
Mark: Yeah he said Luz was in the downstairs bathroom. But he said the upstairs bathroom should be free.

(The New Raven looks off trying to keep from laughing. Maggie's looking at her husband who she can tell is still blushing.)

Maggie: Mark Adam Buchanan what the hell did you do?
Mark: I had walked in on her. And she wasn't really wearing any clothes. No she was wearing pants but she wasn't wearing a shirt.

(Both Ray and Julie are listening to this are trying to keep from laughing.)

Mark: Shut up. I know what you four are thinking.
Kate: What?
Mark: What?
Reagan: Awe Mark's blushing.
Mark: What? No I'm not.
Kate: Yes he is.
Mark: You all suck.

(They all continue to laugh at him as he turns and walks off. Getting them all to look at each other and Maggie walks off after her husband who she can tell is trying to keep from losing it. And not because

they were teasing him about blushing but knowing that his Bestfriend is in the hospital fighting for his life all thanks to whoever it is that's going after his friends.)

Kate: Think we went to far?
Reagan: No. He's just realizing that Adam is in here and badly hurt and it's getting to him.
Kate: He could lose one of his Bestfriend's.
Reagan: Yeah.

Outside of the hospital.

(Mark's sitting down on the bench as Maggie walks out and over to him.)

Maggie: You okay?
Mark: Yeah. I'm sorry.
Maggie: Why?
Mark: I honestly didn't think I'd ever react like that.

(Maggie laughs at him.)

Maggie: They were just teasing you.
Mark: I know that. I really do.
Maggie: So why did you let it effect you that way?
Mark: I don't know. I honestly don't.
Maggie: Mark!
Mark: I really don't know why i reacted that way. Only other then suddenly realizing we're in a hospital waiting to hear if Adam had pulled through his surgery.
Maggie: Okay.

(Mark looks at her and knows she doesn't believe him but also knows she won't push the issue.)

Mark: I know that look.
Maggie: What look?
Mark: The look of you don't believe me and that you're not gonna push it.
Maggie: There a reason I should?
Mark: No there isn't.
Maggie: Okay than.

(Mark grabs her hand and holds it as someone walks up to them and sits down next to them. Mark seeing who it is grabs up his wife's hand and they both walk off inside of the hospital.)

Maggie: Who the hell was that?
Mark: Portia's Curtis Ashford Rebound.
Maggie: Oh.

(They both continue on into the hospital.)

A few hours later.

In the Hospital lobby.

(Mark and the others are all still there waiting for news on Adam as one of the doctors finally comes out and tells them about his condition and how much blood he had lost.)

Mark: Will he be okay?
Doctor: We believe if he makes it the next 24 to 48 hours we believe he'll make a full recovery.
Isaiah: It all depends on if he gets attacked again.

(Mark turns and looks at him he goes to go after him but both Ray and Trevor keep him back.)

Mark: What the hell is this prick doing here?
Raven: I have no idea. I didn't let him in.
Isaiah: I came in with Portia.
Raven: Well then Portia broke my rules.

(They both look at her thrown by what she had just said.)

Portia: What?
Raven: You never told me you were bringing your home wrecking boyfriend into my community.
Portia: You knew i wasn't coming in without him.
Raven: He wasn't even with you when you and your daughter showed up to my gate.
Portia: I.
Mark: Uh-oh did Portia bring someone that wasn't invited into the community into a hospital in said community he wasn't invited into.

(They both look at him and then back at Raven.)

Portia: Raven!
Raven: You and Trina can stay. But he's not allowed in here.

(Then she walks off as both of her sister's walk off behind her to go and talk to her.)

Mark: Boy you two just pissed off the COO of New San Francisco. Did he really think he could hide out here forever.

(Mark walks off around them but Isaiah grabs his arm and Mark shoves him off of him.)

Mark: Watch yourself Rebound boy. There's a killer on the loose. And you two just might be his next victims.

(Isaiah looks at him as he stands there thrown by what Mark had just said.)

Portia: Mark!
Mark: The Fisherman only goes after people with a really really dark secret. What's his? Or yours?
Isaiah: What's yours?
Mark: I fell in love with my wife. But then again that's not something that could get me killed.

(Then he walks off.)

Isaiah: Did you ever cheat on your wife?
Mark: No. And she knows that.
Isaiah: How you so sure?
Mark: Because unlike your girlfriend. I can keep my clothes on.

(Portia turns and looks at him as he walks off to go and talk to his sister in law as everyone else stands there not sure of what to say or do. Isaiah turns and looks at the New Raven knows something

happened between her and Mark and plans on using that get Mark's reaction. But what Isaiah doesn't know is that the new Raven has a new girlfriend and she's related to the Communities COO including

the two women who had walked off behind her.
