Chapter Text
Their first study session in the library was a disaster.
"I’m so bored, Minho-yah."
"Just solve the problem, Chris," Minho said. He didn’t even look up from his notes.
"Isn’t there, like, a better book than this? I don’t get any of it."
"Focus, or I’m leaving."
"Ugh! But this is so pointless. Why do I have to do this?"
"Because you’re graduating soon, and you’re the dumbest person I’ve ever met," Minho told him, tapping the page. "You should know how to do this already. Just get it done so I can study, okay?"
Chan groaned and sank into his chair. He stretched his legs under the table and accidentally nudged Minho’s foot. He looked around. It was almost empty, even though finals were coming up. Some guy was asleep a few tables away.
"So... what are you studying?" Chan asked suddenly.
"Huh?"
"What are you studying?" He nodded toward Minho’s notebook.
"You wouldn’t get it."
"Why not? I’m a year older than you. I took that class last year."
"Yeah, you took it. But I’m actually studying, not cheating."
"Hey, there's nothing wrong with sharing answers with my buddies. It's called teamwork."
"That “teamwork” is why you’re failing. Professor Park asked me to tutor you so you can pass and graduate. But if you’re gonna act like an idiot, I’m not doing this."
"I dunno, man, I think you're a lousy tutor, you know?"
Between the tight rows of bookshelves, Minho stopped and looked up. Of course. The stupid advanced arithmetic book was on the very top shelf. He stood on his toes, stretching his arm up. His shirt lifted a little, showing a thin line of his stomach.
"Wow... you're actually kinda tall, Minho-yah."
Minho jumped, stumbling back so hard he almost hit the bookshelf.
"What are you doing here?" he whispered, trying not to be loud. "I told you to wait, you idiot!"
Chan just shrugged.
"Got bored. And it looked like you needed help."
"I don't need help. I'm taller than you, remember? I can reach it."
"Who said anything about height?" Before Minho could say anything else, Chan gently pushed him aside. "Let me get it," he said with that annoying confident smile. He jumped up, like a fucking kangaroo, and grabbed the book easily. "Here," he said, holding it out. But when Minho went to take it, Chan pulled it back. "Oh, wait. Didn't you say you had it?"
"Christopher. We really should—"
"Don't be rude to your hyung, Minho-yah. I helped you, right? How are you gonna thank me?"
"By teaching you not to be a complete idiot. How's that?"
"Ugh, you're so mean," Chan said, rolling his eyes. He held the book out again.
Minho reached for it slowly, carefully. But right before his fingers touched it, Chan pulled the book back again, tugging Minho forward with it. Suddenly they were really close. Minho could feel Chan's chest almost touching his. And... oh. He could definitely feel something hard pressing against him through Chan's pants.
"You know what happens to rude boys, Minho-yah?"
