Work Text:

George was lost. He had lost track of the man with the yellow hat was. "ooo aa?" he asked, calling out, hoping that anyone would respond.

But there was nothing. Nothing but the dark alleyway and... What was that? At the end of the alleyway, George thought he saw a light. Carefully creeping forward, the monkey closed towards the light, hoping there would be someone there to help.

But as soon as it appeared, it faded, leacing him alone in the dark again. A noise could be heard behind him... What was that?

Behind him, slowly, he heard it again.

"neigh"

standing behind him, was the orange h
--------------------
Orange horse. The silence after its neigh was deafening as it stared with its beady black eyes. It felt like a lifetime before the horse spoke again. “Neigh”, it whispered again as it began to canter.

“Oo OO,” George screeched, seeing the murderous intent in the creatures eyes. No, he thought, he can’t be trampled today. He scampered to the side, avoiding the orange horse’s gangly legs as he raced for his life.
“I am orange from horse race test, you can’t outrun me!” The horse barked. Curious George should have stayed curious
--------------------
George knew a lot about Orange. He knew her from her prime-time product placements and billboard ads, the accolades presented to her for a million different achievements: best racehorse of the year, fastest race in all of horse racing history. She made the TIME magazine cover four times in a row. Everyone knew her name, whispering it with a sense of reverent awe. She was a household name, and she was married.

Which made George all the more anxious. He was a nobody from Kansas, an adopted orphan who spent half his life in the boonies. He had nothing but a college degree and a few quick job entries in his resume. He certainly wasn't the kind of person who had this happen to him: pinned to the wall of a dark and decrepit alleyway.

Orange pinned him to the wall with a strong, regal forehoove. Her muzzle tickles against his neck, a whinnying neigh sending chills down George's spine. George can smell the booze on her breath.

"Don't tell me you're not a little... curious?"
