Chapter Text
Nobody seemed to take notice of the small child walking alone on the streets of London. They didn't stop to ask if he was lost or if he was hungry or thirsty. The young boy just continued walking through the streets looking for something that could look vaguely familiar to him. But everything seemed to just blur together into different sized shapes and sizes.
Harry Potter walking alone down London, searching for his relatives, thinking, that they were just playing a game of hide and seek with him. He looked and acted a little behind his years, from years of neglect and malnutrition. Instead of looking like the seven years he was, he could easily go for four or five years of age. He had nothing on him, besides the ratty clothes he was wearing a few weeks already. He was clutching a small blue bunny plush to his chest, and sucking his thumb, while his big green eyes were looking curiously all around him.
His vision was always kinda blurry, but in the last year it took a turn for the worst. Nothing was sharp, and he couldn't even cook for the Dursleys anymore. Aunt Petunia said, that she was taking him out, to get something for him. Harry had took his plushie and followed his aunt outside, where she put him in the car and drove away. She set him down outside of the car, and they walked for a while, before he noticed, that his aunt wasn't with him anymore. Instead of crying out or running around wildly, he carefully looked around and started walking.
His relatives had done that a few times with him already. They seemed to love to play hide and seek, and he was always the seeker. But that wasn't so bad. He loved to play with them, because they didn't play often with him. If his cousin played with him, it always ended in him hurt. It wasn't really one of his favorite games, so he always ran away from his cousin and his friends.
He was trying to make out the shape of his aunt, or the place, where she parked the car. But he couldn't. He remembered one time, when his relatives had hidden so well from him, that it took him nearly four days to find them, and when he did, they were sitting at home, eating something greasy from the smell and watching some movie on the television.
He didn't realise, that he had somehow walked into a secret passage, that shouldn't have been open for him. The buildings changed colours, the begann to look a little like he walked at least a hundred years into the past. Somewhere to his left, there was a really big white building, where he had to squeeze his eyes shut, otherwise they were burning.
Through his squeezed shut eyes he didn't see, that he was walking right into someone, till he met the legs of the person in front of him and hit those, landing on his butt. Confused he scrambled to his feet, looking up at the person he ran into.
"Excuse me young one." The man said. His voice was way softer than that of his uncle and at the same time younger. The voice of the man reminded him at some of the TV shows his cousin had watched, where they played in the past, with royalty. This man sounded, like he was of royal standing. Had he wandered into the palace? No. That couldn't be. He was in some street, and the royal family would never just walk on some kind of streets, lik commoners.
"I'm sorry" Harry mumbled, afraid that he might get punished for running into the noble man. He cowered away from him, but couldn't help and look at him.
The man had long white hair, that made him look a little bit like a woman. His uncle would have an aneurism at the mere sight of him. He detested everything, that was not even remotely normal by his standards. And that was anything, that was not him, his wife or son. He himself was always called an unwanted freak. He couldn't really remember if he ever had a real name at all. Maybe it was 'boy' or 'freak'. At least, that was what he was called.
"Where are your parents little one?" A woman asked. Harry hadn't seen her at first. She had stood slightly behind the man with the long blond hair. She too had blond hair, but there was also a bit of black within them. It looked almost fake. On her hip was another small figure, with the same blond-white hair as the man he had bumped into.
"Aunt Tunia said, that they died to get rid of me. I don't know where she is right now." Harry said, looking slightly unsure, if he should even tell them that. "But that okay." He assured them, when he noticed, that the eyebrows of both adults scrunched together. "We are playing now." He smiled. He was sure, that he wasn't the only one, where their play worked like that.
His smile revealed his not really cared for teeth, making the woman gasp and the man sucked in a breath at the sight. Harry quickly closed his mouth again and turned slightly away from them.
"What is your name little one?" The woman asked. She knelt down in front of him, after she set down the young boy on the ground. Carefully she moved his overly long hair out of his eyes. He flinched back, knowing, that it would reveal his ugly scar. "Mine is Narcissa. And behind me are my husband Lucius and our son Draco." She gestured to them, when she said it.
"I don know. They always called me freak or boy. Maybee that my name." He shrugged. Narcissa frowned even more. She looked the boy up and down, noticing the malnutrition and the clothes he wore. It looked abysmal to have a child in such condition.
Narcissa shared a look with her husband, wich told him, that she would take him with them, even if her husband didn't agree on it. Lucius sighed inaudible, but nodded, giving in to his wife's demand. She looked back to the boy in front of her, "How about we take you to get some food?" she questioned.
Harry's mind was reeling. He knew, that he wasn't supposed to go with anyone he didn't know, even if his aunt always said, that he should go with the first person, that wanted to take him. But she also always said, that Dudley should not go with anyone, that weren't Mommy, Daddy or his Aunt Marge. He always tried to listen to his relatives, but if they told different things? Maybe he should more listen to what they said to Dudley then. But the nice woman was offering food. And they haven't even screamed at him, when he bumped into her husband. Maybe they were nice?
He took some time to think it over. He could go with them for some food, and maybe later, he could go back to finding his aunt. He was so hungry. He hadn't had anything the last week. He couldn't complete his chores, and his aunt punished him for it. So he nodded. He really wanted something to eat, even if it was just a slice of bread.
Narcissa reached out her hand, for the young boy to grip it. It didn't even take long, before he took it. She stood up again and all four of them walked along the alley. Harry was trying to see everything, so that he wouldn't trip and fall, but he couldn't see the difference in the cobblestone street. It was almost impossible for him. So he tripped over nearly every single stone.
Of course it wasn't long, before Narcissa noticed. She gently touched her husbands arm, to stop him, before kneeling down again. "Can it be, that you can't see everything?" She asked. Harry's eyes flicked around the alley, just so he wouldn't have to look at Narcissa. No matter how nice she was, she probably would just leave him behind if she knew. His aunt said, that it was shameful to be needing help with anything. If you couldn't see correctly or if they had a missing limb. It wasn't normal.
"Maybe we have to take a trip to the optician, before we can go and eat something." Narcissa said gently.
"Yes, I think that might be for the best." Lucius answered, nodding slightly.
Narcissa stood up again, looking around shortly, before making her way over to a shop, with big windows and a door, that looked like a pair of glasses. She gently tugged the small child behind her. All four of them entered the shop together.
A young woman stepped up to them, greeting them. "Lord and Lady Malfoy. And Heir Draco Malfoy. How may we be of help today?" She asked politely. Lord and Lady? Harry was slightly confused. Where they really noble people? Was that really a possibility?
Narcissa said something, that he couldn't make out over his own thoughts. The woman led both him and Lucius into a small side room, wich made Harry nearly panic. Had he done something wrong? Were they going to punish him? A hand on his shoulder calmed him down slightly.
He was led over to a chair, when the young woman talked again. "Please sit down." She said to him, before she turned to Lord Malfoy. "We will have to do a few tests, before we can give him the right glasses." She motioned to some kind of machine, and Lord Malfoy nodded. The chair felt, like it was made of high quality leather, like the riding shoes his cousin once had.
Something was put on his face, that felt like really heavy glasses, before something went over his eyes. It felt warm and prickly, but not really unpleasant, only a bit weird.
A few moments after it ended the woman took of the glasses again. "Alright. If you would follow me back, than we can find a suitable model for him." Lucius motioned for him to stand up again. The three of them moved back into the showroom, where Narcissa was waiting with Draco sitting next to her. The young boy looked, like a carbon copy of his father. even his posture was the same.
Lucius and Harry sat down next to the other two. And the lady came back with a tray, on wich a few models of glasses layed. They looked at a lot of different kind of glasses, before both Lord and Lady Malfoy were happy with how they looked upon his face. The woman waved a stick in front of his face and a few muttered words. Suddenly everything became sharp. he could see everything clear again for the first time ever.
"Is it alright? I hope it worked for you?" The lady asked kindly. Harry nodded his head, still completely blown away by his sudden perfect vision.
"When he is a little older, about fourteen or fifteen, we can give him a correction potion." She said. "You should consider it." Her tone was kind of judgemental, but still hidden in a cloud of kindness.
"Yes. Thank you." Lady Malfoy said, her distain for the woman carefully hidden. All four stood up, after Lucius paid and walked out of the shop. Draco and Harry walked a bit behind Lord and Lady Malfoy. Each Malfoy wore really beautiful robes, but not something his aunt and uncle would wear. More like something movie stars would wear, when they played a royal role. They still looked really pretty in them.
As they were walking down the alleyway, Harry noticed all the weird shops that were lining the way. One had brooms on the display. And it looked, like they were not for sweeping, but for riding, like a witch. Aunt Petunia didn't like it, when Dudley watched those movies, but he screamed so much, that Petunia was scared if the neighbours would hear it and let him watch it, just so he would stop screaming.
The young boy, Draco if he remembered, was trying to talk to him, but Harry was barely listening, watching everything around the Ally. From all the people with the weird clothes, to the shops and the creatures, that seemed to be roaming the darker parts of the Ally. Some teenagers and their parents were wearing clothes Harry knew, but there were only a few amongst all the other people with the robes.
They walked to a restaurant. He wished, that he could read the sign, but the golden swan on it, could be the name of the place. It looked very fancy. It must be very expansive, maybe his aunt and uncle wouldn't even be able to afford this. And his uncle made a lot of money as a director of his company. They must make a lot of money right? At least, they lived pretty comfortably, besides him. He had to live in the cupboard and make the food for his relatives.
A man stood at a pult right inside the door, looking at a list. When he noticed them approaching he looked up. A friendly smile spread over his face when he saw them. "Ah, Lord and Lady Malfoy. We had thought, that you would cancel your reservation." He tilted his head slightly. "We still have your table ready for you of course." He took two menus from out under the pult and started leading them trough the restaurant.
Lord Malfoy had to refrain from rolling his eyes. "If you would be so kind and give us a second children's chair, we would greatly appreciate it."
"Of course. Of course." The young man looked back shortly, his weirdly friendly smile still glued on his face.
They stopped in front of a door. He opened it, holding it open for them. "Your table like always Lord Malfoy. We will be bringing a second children's chair shortly." As they moved inside the man eyed the child walking inside with the Malfoys. He looked like some common street kid. And not worthy of even breathing the air inside of their fine establishment. He would have thrown him out, had he not been with the Malfoys. They didn't want something like him darkening their pristine establishment.
A few minutes after he left, he returned with the chair floating behind him. He moved the chair, to stand right next to the other children's chair one. "Here you go. Enjoy your meal." Than he left again. The chair actually looked more like a slightly higher version of the normal chairs. Lucius helped him get into his chair, while Narcissa helped Draco into his own.
He looked a little questioningly at the table and the menus. "We will order for you. Do not worry." Lucius said. He tipped onto the menu with the weird stick, and after a few moments, the food appeared on the table.
There was some kind of soup and some bread on the table. Harry looked a bit questioningly at the silverware on the table. There was so much. Wich one should he use. He looked over to Draco, who smiled, before he lifted up one of the spoons and showed it to Harry. "This one is the one to use." He said gently.
Harry put his small bunny onto his lap, before copying Draco in laying down the napkin over his plushie, so it would catch the food, should something spill.
"Can you tell us where you live?" Narcissa asked, while they waited for the second course.
Harry looked up, before he slowly shook his head. "The house look all same." He said unsure.
Narcissa frowned and looked at her husband. "Maybe we should go to the goblins, they can tell where he lives with a simple inheritance test." She decided.
Lucius looked at his wife, before he looked at the small, beaten down child. "Yes, I think that we should do that. We should also find out what is going on in that house of his. No sane person would just abandon a small child on the streets, especially not if they are magical- He was living with muggles I believe."
Harry looked more and more confused, as they continued talking. "Goblins? Magical?" he breathed out after some time, hoping for answers.
Lucius and Narcissa looked at each other, before Lucius turned to him and started to explain. "I know, this might sound a bit crazy, but we believe, that you might be magical, like us. A wizard child." Harry looked at them, like they were crazy. "We know. But you saw, how the man just flew in the chair for you. Maybe you even noticed some strange things happening around you. Like something suddenly floating towards you or just appearing before you." He continued, when he saw Harry nodding. "That is called accidental magic. All magical children have that, and it is something, that we cherish here. Some of us even have a celebration, when our heirs show us, that they show their first signs of magic."
"What about the goblins. Are their real?" Harry asked, inclining his head in curiosity.
"Yes. We have a lot of different magical creatures in our world. From Unicorns, over Werewolf's and Vampires, and there are so many more. The Goblins are probably just what you think they are. They are relatively small, and look pretty scary. They have a lot of sharp teeth and are vicious if they or one of their clients is wronged. They run our bank and look after our money. Anyone, who is stupid enough to try and break into the bank never makes it back out again. Even though we have a lot of rules and laws, they have their own laws, that make it legal, to keep a wizard or witch locked up inside of the bank instead of our prison." Lucius finished.
"We will go there after we finish eating." Narcissa said. They went back to eating quickly after the next course appeared. Harry just looked at all the food, not being able to eat it. After the soup and a salat he was already stuffed. He was actually sad, that he wasn't able to eat anymore. He also couldn't sneak any of the food. The Malfoys were watching a bit too closely, for him to take the food and make a small food pouch, for later. Otherwise he maybe would not get any food again for the next few days.
They walked out of the restaurant after a lot of food and a lot of talking. Harry was clutching the hand of Draco, while they were walking along the Ally. They walked right towards the big white building, Lord Malfoy explained was the goblins bank. With his new glasses it looked even more astonishing. Even though it seemed to be leaning a dangerous amount.
Harry wanted to stop at every single shop, that looked interesting. One shop sold any kind of animal imaginable, even some, that looked, like they escaped a storybook. And some Harry thought, were too dangerous, to have as a simple pet.
Draco stopped, together with his parents, when he felt the slight tug on his arm, when Harry had stopped to look at all the animals in the menagerie. "We can come back later to look a bit more. Maybe father will let you get your own pet. I already have my first owl." Draco said after a few moments, just watching the awe in Harrys eyes. "But right now we have some important things to take care of, before we can consider something like this." He carefully tugged on their combined hands, to get the other boy moving again.
They walked silently behind Lord and Lady Malfoy again. Draco tied to engage him in small conversations, but Harry remained silent, looking around the Ally. But he was also scared of angering Lord Malfoy, if he started talking out of turn. His uncle would always hit him, when he started talking. He didn't like hearing his voice. He said it was annoying and not worth listening to.
As they approached the bank, Harry could see the goblins Lord Malfoy had talken about before. And he had to give it to him, they did look creepy, but they looked way creepier in the flesh, than Lord Malfoy could have made them out to be. He shrank towards Draco, when they got closer to the entrance. The goblins held little spears in their hands, that still looked, like they could do quite a bit of damage.
"Don't worry. As long as you are respectful towards them, they will be respect you in turn." Draco said to him, while they climbed the steps. He had seen, when Harry moved closer to him, knowing what had scared him in that moment.
"But they look so scary." Harry whispered. If Draco hadn't stood right next to him, he might not have heard what the other boy had said.
"They scared me as well, when I was younger. But you kind of get used to all the different creatures and people you meet here in Gringotts and Diagon Ally." Draco sounded sure and reassuringly while he said it.
Draco and Harry waited behind Lord and Lady Malfoy, while they talked to one of the tellers. Meanwhile Harry looked around the room. There were two rows of tellers on each side of the large room. There were also a few hallways behind them. And everything looked so expensive. Draco coughed slightly to get his attention. He looked up at the blond boy, noticing, that his parents were already moving behind one of the goblins.
They quickly followed, so they wouldn't fall too far behind. The goblin led them behind the tellers and into one of the hallways, lined with a lot of doors. He stopped in front of one, knocked and waited for a reply. Then he opened the door and held it open for all four to move into the room.
Inside of it was a slightly larger table, than the dinner table of the Dursleys. At it's head sat another goblin, looking through some papers and waiting for them to sit down. Harry watched for a second, while the Malfoys sat down, before he followed their lead and tried to copy their elegance, while they sat down. Maybe he had failed at it, because he could hear Draco laugh very quietly and Narcissa smiled a bit down at him.
With flushed cheeks he looked down at the table, wringing his hands in his bunny's blue fur in embarrassment.
"May your enemies bled at your feet." The goblin said, after they all had sat down. He layed down the papers on his desk and looked at them intently, trying to figure out the situation at hand.
"May your coffers never be empty." Lucius replied.
"How can we be of service to you and you family today Lord Malfoy?" The goblin asked. He seemed to be sneering down at them, making him look somehow even more creepy and deranged than before in Harry's opinion.
"We found this young wizard walking the streets of Diagonal Ally all alone. He could not even see where he was going. We had to get him a pair of glasses, so that he could properly watch where he was going. Because he said, that he could not find his family anywhere, we decided to bring him with us, so he could get an inheritance test done. And if the circumstances permit it, we would like to adopt him."
At the words adoption he looked up from the table and at those around him. But besides Draco, nobody seemed to look at him. Draco at least smiled, so he felt a bit better.
The goblin looked down at Harry, lifting an eyebrow and asking him: "What is your name young one?"
Harry looked a little perplexed at the question, but answered none the less. "Freak. Or boy on a good day."
The goblin hummed at his declaration, and scribbled something down on an unused piece of parchment. He looked up for a few seconds and at Lord Malfoy. He just gave him a look, that clearly said: 'Do you see now why we want to take him in as ours?' He nodded a little, before he went back to writing.
When he was done writing he bent down to get something out of a drawer. He stood up and brought the items he took out to Harry and layed them down in front of him. Harry jerked back, when he saw the dagger laying on the piece of parchment the goblin brought to him.
"Please cut the tip of your finger and drop three drops of blood onto the parchment. It is the way we use to find out who we have in front of us. And if they are who they claim to be." The goblin said. "But beware. Blood is something sacred. Never give your blood to anyone. There are not only good things that can be done with blood, but also bad things. SO always be careful who you give you blood to." The goblin said sternly.
Harry nodded his head, understanding the threat the goblin was trying to get across. With a slightly shaking hand he lifted the dagger to his left hand and carefully cut one of his finger open, just enough, so he could squeeze out three drops of blood. He didn't even flinch, when the knife cut his skin, wich the adults noticed, filing away for later.
Carefully Harry let the three necessary drops of blood fall down onto the piece of parchment and watched, as the parchment changed. Slowly words started to form on the parchment. Enchanted he looked down at it.

Harry gave the parchment over to Lucius and Narcissa, after he read the first few lines. Both adults looked down in complete shock at the parchment, not really believing what they were seeing. Who would do something to a small child? Blocking ones core could be dangerous, if nobody looked after them. The small amount James did was normal, so that the toddlers would not burn out their cores before they were old enough to get to Hogwarts. But what the Headmaster did was pure evil. And then siphoning off the small amount he left, just to get more power themself.
"I think, that we need a medical examination for Harry." Lucius said. The tone in his voice brooked no argument. They would also need to get rid of the blocks and the mild potions Albus was feeding him. Maybe Albus had never even really seen him. Or he would have been removed as his magical guardian a long time ago. If he had seen the abuse, he would have to remove him and put him in a different home, wich could also mean an investigation into Dumbledore as his magical guardian, even if it was illegal.
"Please also give him a cleansing. I don't think, that he is healthy. He is way to thin." Narcissa added.
"Of course. We will inform our medical staff immediately." The goblin said. He walked to the door and talked to one of the goblins staying in front of the door in gobbledygook.
Meanwhile Lucius looked up at Harry, trying to catch his eye. "Harrison," He said, causing Harry to look up. "The goblins will take you into the healing halls. There are some harmful blocks and potions on you and in your system. They can flush them out, without causing you too much harm. It may sting a little, but that should be all." Harry nodded, understanding, that they wanted to help him, but he was still scared to do it. Would they leave while he was away? Had they noticed, that he was just a burden?
Draco gripped his hand, when he noticed the fear in his eyes. "I can come with you." He smiled. "I will have to wait outside, but I will be there when you wake up."
"Wake up?" Harry question in a near silent whisper.
"Well, to get the blocks off of you without hurting you, they will give you a small dose of dreamless sleep. And it will be done, before you wake up again." Draco explained.
While they had talked, the goblin had walked back inside and was waiting on them to finish talking. "We are ready for young heir Potter." He said. Right next to him stood another goblin, who inclined their head, when Ironclaw pointed at him. "This is healer Silversmith. He is the best when it comes to children's care."
"Good day Lord Malfoy, Lady Malfoy. My team and I will take great care of heir Potter." Silversmith said. His voice was deep and scratchy, but was still kind. "If you would come with us heir Potter. Will someone be accompanying you?"
Harry looked back at Draco, who just smiled and answered for him. "I will be accompanying him."
"I see. If you would follow me then heir Potter, heir Malfoy."
Harry got out of the chair slowly, gripping his bunny plushie with one hand and with his other he took Dracos hand in his, before he followed the goblin out of the meeting room and back into the white hallways of the bank.
Draco being with him was calming to him. Especially, when they entered a room with runes drawn on the ground in a circle, that reminded Harry a bit of a cult.
"Please put on these clothes. They will help us focus our magic better." The healer said. Harry recognized the white gown as a hospital gown. One that Dudley once wore, when he was admitted, when he fell from a tree he was climbing and broke his leg.
Harry looked around a little questioningly, when the healer pointed at a secluded small area, where he could change. Harry went alone there to change. Leaving his clothes on the chair, that stood in the corner of the small space.
When Harry was done changing, he walked back to the healer and Draco in just the whit gown and his ratty boxers he wore underneath.
The healer led him into the middle of the room and instructed him to lay down on the mattress, before giving him the small dose of dreamless sleep. He just saw, how Draco was led out of the room, before everything went dark.
Meanwhile Lucius and Narcissa were still talking with the goblin in the office. "We need to get bank statements for Harrison. I believe, that Dumbledore was also siphoning funds. Right now I believe that he is capable of a lot of things." Lucius said.
"Yes. I hope for him, that he did not." The goblin said. "We will look into it as quickly as possible." He said, before leaving the room, to get the account manager of the Potter accounts and get a look into the Potter books.
He returned a few minutes later, with the account manager of the Potter accounts and some bad news.
"Well, it seems, that you were correct in your assumption Lord Malfoy." He said entering. "This is Ironclaw, the account manager of the Potters. We looked into the books together and found that five hundred galleons were taken out monthly, starting November 1981, just after the death of Lord and Lady Potter. 150 Galleons were going to Dumbledore himself and 70 Galleons were going to Molly, Ginerva and Ronald Weasley, as well as Hermione Granger and the Dursley family."
Lucius looked as angry as the goblins, his Malfoy mask falling in his rage.
"Make sure, that everything is paid back with some extra as compensation for Harrison." His voice ice cold and his eyes promising revenge.
The first thing Harry was aware of, was that wherever he was, he was not alone. He could hear Narcissa and Lucius voices somewhere around him. They were talking, but Harry couldn't understand what they were talking about. Their voices sounded, like they were coming through honey or cotton. They sounded quiet and kinda far away.
The next thing he noticed, was that everything was bright. He was in a white room, with big windows, where sunlight was coming through, making his eyes burn a bit with the brightness.
He carefully opened his eyes a little more, groaning as the light assaulted his eyes. He squinted them shut again, to shield them from the sunlight. Draco jumped up from his chair at Harry waking up, moving closer to him and carefully taking his hand in his own.
"Harrison? Can you hear me?" He asked carefully.
Lucius also stood up, looking at the small child on the bed. Harry was laying there with squinted shut eyes, gripping Dracos hand and his little plushie.
"Mhm." Harry hummed and nodded his head a little.
"I'll close the curtains." Lucius said, swinging his wands and made the curtains slid shut. Harrys eyes relaxed almost simultaneous with the dimming of the sunlight in the room.
"Draco, dear, give Harrison a bit of space. Let him wake up first." Narcissa gently chided her son.
Even though Draco didn't want to he stepped back with a slight scowl, letting go of Harrys hands in the process.
Carefully Harry tried to open his eyes again, feeling relieved, that his eyes were no longer burning when he tried to open them.
Harry carefully looked at Narcissa, seeing worry on her face. When he looked at the other two with him in the room he could see the same worry mirrored in their eyes.
"How are you feeling now?" The healer question, who got notified, the moment his patient had woken up.
"Well, I feel... free. Is that normal?" Harry asked.
The healer nodded. "Yes. After getting the blocks removed your magic could finally get comfortable again. It will also work better now. In the first few weeks you can experience a lot of accidental magic bouts. It is nothing to worry about. But you should be careful around other people and animals. So the first few weeks you should stay at home. If the bouts wear off, you can go back under other humans. For the time being I would say, that you stay with your new guardians." Healer Silversmith said.
"My new guardians" Harry asked after he nodded in understanding.
Lucius quietly cleared his throat. "Well, my wife and I thought, that we could adopt you. Only if you would like that of course."
Harry looked shocked at the Malfoy family. Would someone truly want him? Would they truly give him a family? He was slightly surprised by their proposition. Wide eyed he looked at the Malfoys, but only saw smiles and gentle nodding. "Would you really take me in?" Harry asked carefully.
Narcissa smiled. "Of course we would. We always wanted more children, but... sadly we couldn't have anymore."
Harry looked a little saddened at the prospect of loosing a child. The mother of one of the children in his elementary class had once lost a child, while it was still in her tummy and the boy in his class was missing for a day. And when he came back, he told everyone about his baby brother, that was now with their grandparents.
"Alright young man, we seemed to have healed everything, that we could. One last thing. Even if you can't really understand it right now, but we found a marriage contract written in your name. We nullified it, because it was written by an illegal magical guardian. With that we would be done with your healing."
"Well then. We thank you for everything you have done for us today. Everything, that you need payment for, please take it out of the Malfoy family vault." Lucius said. He gently nodded his head once in gratitude.
Harry was carefully looking around, before he opened his mouth to speak. "I... I think I'd like to be with you." His voice was so quiet, that it could have been lost, had someone else spoke at the same time.
Every single one of the Malfoys smiled at him, when the words registered with them.
"That is wonderful." Narcissa gushed. "When we adopt someone here in the wizarding world, we use something, that is called a blood adoption potion. The potion makes our claim irreversible for our ministry. There is also the affect, that the potion changes how you look. You will change outwardly. I would say, probably your hair and your skin. I hope that is okay with you."
Harry's eyes were going a bit wide. Change his appearance? That was possible? How much would he change to look like them? It all sounded so unreal. But maybe he just had to trust, that with magic you could achieve nearly everything. So he carefully just nodded. He wanted to be with them. He wanted a real family for once.
"I will ask our house elf to get one blood adoption potion as soon as possible. Loppy!" A small brownish creature with long pointy ears popped into existence right before his eyes. It wore a dark green uniform and bowed, before it began to speak.
"What can Loppy be doing for Master Malfoy?" She asked.
Lucius took out a few pieces of gold and handed it to the small creature. A house elf Lucius had said. "Go to the apothecary and get a blood adoption potion." He kind of demanded, but his voice was kinda soft, while talking to the house elf.
Loppy nodded and popped away again, to fulfil their masters demand.
While they waited, Draco was trying to explain, what a house elf was and what their job was in the magical world and the wixen households.
"They bond with their master and the magic they get from the bond keeps them alive. They do the house work, like cooking and cleaning. Sometimes they even look after the children, when the parents aren't there."
Harry looked slightly horrified. "That is what I was for the Dursleys." He whispered, hugging the bunny closer to his chest.
Draco was speechless, looking at his father to help him.
"They are something cherished here. Not every family can just have one. They are more like a help, muggles can hire to work in their home."
"So they get paid?" Harry asked quietly.
"Well no, but they don't need the money. They only need our magic and enough free time, so that they don't overwork themselves." Lucius explained.
Just then the small elf popped back into the room, handing the change and a potion to Lucius. Then he popped back out again.
"We each need to drop five drops of our blood into the potion. Then you will need to drink it." Lucius instructed. "That way we add ourselves a your parents, without erasing everything from your parents. So you will be able to retain some of their features."
While Lucius explained the potion to Harrison, Narcissa had already cut her hand with the small dagger, and dropped five drops of her blood into the potion. She cleaned the dagger up, before giving it to her husband, to repeat the action and get the potion ready for it's use.
Harrison looked slightly disgusted at the thought of drinking someone's blood. But none the less, when he was handed the potion he slowly lifted it up to his mouth and sniffed it. It smelled slightly foul. He pinched his nose shut and just quickly downed the potion, so he would not have to taste too much of the potion.
He nearly threw the potion up again, after he drank it, due to the foul aftertaste, that was lingering in his mouth. He looked down at himself, seeing his skin getting fairer by the second. His slightly tanned skin turned in to a shade similar to the Malfoys.
A few minutes everything tingled and he wanted to scratch at every part of his body, but the Malfoys always stopped him, when he wanted to scratch again. When it stopped Narcissa summoned a mirror, so he could look at himself.
Harrisons skin had indeed turned into a very light shade, giving him soft rosy lips and cheeks. His eyes were still emerald green and his hair still a beautiful, shining coal black hair. The only thing that had changed his hair, growing longer and his unruliness that he was known for, had evened out and nearly disappeared.
He looked like the male version of the muggle fairy tale snow white. Fair skin, rosy lips and black hair.
"He looks like a little angel." Lucius said. His wife nodded in agreement to her husbands statement.
Draco seemed to forget his upbringing for a moment and jumped up and down on the spot. "I finally have a little brother!" He squealed, hugging the small boy close to him.
"Draco. Be a bit more careful. Harrison is still not fully healed. He will need a lot of potions to get even close to healthy again." Lucius chided. Draco turned red and carefully let go of the other boy and took a few steps back, scratching his neck in embarrassment, before dropping his hand, as if he had burned himself.
Lucius called for Loppy back, and asked it, to get some old clothes of Draco, that could be fitting the small boy.
"Of course. I will get some for young Harrison." Loppy said and was only gone for a few minutes, before bringing back some clothes.
The clothes looked like they were just miniature versions of the clothes the grown ups wore. Harry found it a bit funny, how much the wizarding family's cared about how their children looked and behaved.
Harry was helped by Narcissa when he put on the clothes, because it was way harder to put these clothes on, than the clothes he normally wore. Everything was somehow fixed in place and starched , so they were kind of stiff. It took a few moments for them to get him into the clothes, but Narcissa found him really pretty and gushed over him.
"Now you look the part." She said. "So pretty."
"Yes. But we will have to get him his own clothes. The colour is not really his." Lucius mentioned. The light blue colour of the robes did suit Draco, but it washed him out a lot, making him look slightly sick.
"We should go and get him some new clothes right away." Narcissa agreed.
They walked out of the bank as a new family. Harry was holding his new brothers hand, clutching his bunny to his chest, but he was smiling from ear to ear. He was finally happy. Even if he didn't know what the future would hold for him, he was ready for what ever would come across his way, for it could not be worse, than what the Dursleys had done to him.
