Chapter Text

May I lay my body on you tonight

Day and night I think of you in my dream

-Sleep (V)

“If your father finds out, it's the end for me. You know that, right?”

“Don't worry, he won't know. I'm well disguised, aren't I?” said Jimin, all fired up for what lay ahead.

They sped through the city streets on the smaller man's big black motorcycle. The wind hit them hard in the face forcing Jimin to keep his eyes closed but it was impossible to keep the smile off his face.

Finally, after countless times when he had begged Jungkook to take him along on a night patrol of the city's neighborhoods, he had managed to convince him. That would be his first night out in the neutral part of the city where no gang had power. This made it much more dangerous but at the same time much more exciting for Jimin.

The city of Seoul was not dangerous, but only if you knew which places to hang out and which ones to avoid and if you had the right connections.

Being the omega son of the leader of the Moonlight Dancers was definitely not the best choice for wandering around in that kind of area where young alpha members of different groups were clashing with each other trying to show their superiority.

Jungkook, on the other hand, frequents that place often. Why? He said it was a good way to keep himself trained and figure out who the real threats were–Jimin was convinced that he went there because he enjoyed it but did not want to say so explicitly.

However, Jimin had always wanted to attend at least one evening of this but had always been forbidden because of his gender and social position. His father feared that he would be in danger, which is why he had always forbidden him to go–and hearing the stories that sometimes circulated about omega getting close to that part of town, he was fully justified in fearing for his son's safety.

To the omega, however, this was not enough. All this gassed him greatly, and his soul would know no rest until he experienced a night like everyone else having fun in the streets of his city. Yes, sure, he was an omega and maybe physically a little weaker than the alphas but he was still a very trained guy since he fell within the highest ranks of his gang. Spending an entire night there and being able to tell the story without a problem would have made all the other omegas jealous. He had to do it.

Fortunately, Jungkook was easy to convince–sure, it had taken him several weeks, but still he had succeeded, right? That was the important thing.

And now there they both were, dressed in clothes that indicated Jungkook's gang membership. Each clan had its own certain way of dressing so that they could be recognized immediately.

Jungkook was all dressed in black with leather pants, a tight-fitting shirt that hugged his entire torso highlighting his physique, and a pair of amphibians. It was his usual outfit for these kinds of evenings, mainly because it was the most comfortable in his opinion for riding his motorcycle–again, Jimin felt that this was an excuse and that the real reason was because it made him look much cooler.

Jimin had no clothes that could easily match his friend's biker style and had been forced to borrow his own despite the very different builds. He wore a very light grayish shirt and short sleeves that perfectly hugged the curves of his body while he tried to hide his slimmer omega body with a heavy black leather jacket with a few designs done in paint in one of his dull moments. The only contribution from his closet had been shoes and simple jeans somewhat worn over the years to make him look a little more street, but without destroying his always being impeccable in the way he dressed. One of the things he tolerated the least was not being perfectly dressed.

Jungkook had made him promise never to remove his leather jacket because, together with his shirt, they helped him hide his scent and thus keep his true omega identity from being revealed. Of course, Jimin had no idea to take it off because, despite his elation, he knew full well how much he could risk.

“Hyung, are you sure this is a good idea? There's still time for us to go back.”

“We're practically there Jungkook-ah. Don't worry.”

“How can you be so calm? I know this place well and I'm literally shaking for you, while you don't care about anything.”

“The only thing I fear, my dear Jungkookie, is my father and he will never know about this because the only one who knows I am here is you and I really don't think you will go and tell him knowing the danger you would be in. No one knows my face around here because no one from my gang frequents this area and the other gangs have never seen me because my father keeps me segregated in the house. So we are in no danger, don't worry.” Jimin said as he got off Jungkook's motorcycle and hastily took off his helmet so he could finally feel the coolness of that evening on his skin.

Jungkook did the same and notified his friends by text message of his arrival. It was not safe to have the omega with him in that place and it was better to have others with him just in case than to walk alone.

Jimin began to mirror himself in the internal camera of his phone to fix his hair as best he could after being crushed by the motorcycle helmet he had been wearing. He could not have any hair out of place.

After finishing, he stowed the phone in his pants pocket. He was ready to venture into the neutral zone.

“I heard there are some great bars that sell cheap alcohol, I definitely need to try them.”

“Yes, there are such places but they are off-limits to you. Going around these streets is already dangerous but at least we have darkness on our side. Entering a club means that everyone can see you and can ask questions by seeing your smaller build.”Jungkook specified. It was better to set boundaries with Jimin otherwise they would surely get into the wolf's den with no way out or salvation.

“Come on!!! This might be my only night here and you're already taking the fun out of it!” complained the eldest who was too electrified to think straight.

He felt adrenaline permeating his body. There was something in the air that night that made him feel in a whole new state. Was it the fact that he was about to go against his father's orders that made him so excited, or was it because he was savoring that freedom he had so longed for and had never been able to experience since he discovered he was an omega?

That night the crescent moon was accompanied by several stars that, though shy, were clearly visible, not hidden by any clouds. A light breeze was blowing, making the weather perfect, neither hot nor cold. Jimin felt that everything was on his side.

Jungkook's group arrived soon after. It consisted of five large alphas all from his gang who knew Jimin's true identity and in fact were a little worried noticing his presence but one glance from their friend was enough to silence him and avoid questions.

Mingyu sneaked up on Jungkook and whispered in his ear trying not to be heard. “Why is Jimin here?”

“I promised him a night here. I need your help to keep things quiet and prevent his identity from being discovered,” Jungkook replied in a low voice.

They exchanged a look that was worth a thousand words, and Mingyu nodded. They could not leave Jungkook alone in such a situation.

“Let's go” said the newly arrived alpha, waving for the others to start walking as well.

They began to take random routes without having a specific destination. Beside them they would occasionally pass alphas alone or in the company of their friends, who would squad them to figure out where they belonged and then continue on to their destination. At such times they tended to make sure that Jimin was in the middle between them, quite hidden. One never knew what might be going through the alphas' heads, especially if they were drunk like most of those they encountered.

Every now and then a gust of cooler air came in and Jimin took even more refuge in the leather jacket given to him by his friend even though the strong presence of its scent gave him a headache. Jungkook smelled good but it was not the right smell for him.

“Are you okay?” asked Jungkook worriedly, seeing his friend lurching a bit as he walked.

“Hmm” said Jimin to reassure him. It was just a dizziness, no big deal.

“That's the Bliss. I heard there's a party today, would you like to go?” said an alpha from their group.

“No.” “Yes!” replied Jungkook and Jimin in unison.

“Jungkook!”

“Jimin hyung! No, absolutely not.”

“Let's go! There's a party! It's perfect! I definitely have to go!” pouted Jimin trying to convince his friend knowing that he couldn't resist that expression of his.

“It's too dangerous!”

“Just enough time for a drink, please! Then let's leave.” Jimin also began making eyes at him, so he might as well try his hardest.

Jungkook sighed resignedly. He began to think he had to start a resistance course against Jimin's demands because he could not give in like that every time.

“Just one drink and then we'll go,” Jungkook agreed, hoping he would not regret it.

Jimin smiled and emitted a cry of excitement. He was too curious to see what the nightclubs in the neutral zone were like.

They headed to the entrance of the club. The neon sign on the door read the name of the pub, and next to it were several groups of people getting some air and exchanging a few words between puffs of smoke.

What fascinated Jimin most was the presence of differently dressed people, always true to their gang affiliations, talking quietly among themselves. This was so unreal to him who was used to seeing them fighting each other. Here they all seemed to be friends, as if there was no animosity between them. Probably the next morning they would have disowned the fact that they had a civilized conversation with that gang, but the night was different, the night was dark and therefore secret.

They entered the club and automatically headed for a small table well hidden next to a wall. It was the best choice for trying to hide an omega.

The party was not really the kind of party Jimin envisioned. He thought he would find tables set off to one side and the rest of the place cleared out so that he could have a dance floor to rock out on. In reality, what he saw was very different. There was no dance floor (Jungkook explained to him that that sort of thing was only done if there were mixed genders because the alphas didn't want to rub elbows with each other–they would only do it if the betas and omegas were also there). On the other hand, there were gambling tables, gaming machines, and one corner was reserved for games of strength such as arm wrestling. It was all very alpha-coded now that he thought about it better.

Fortunately, however, there was background music and the bar area where they prepared different kinds of cocktails.

The dim light somewhat limited a clear view of the whole room but at the same time created an even more fascinating atmosphere and one that–Jimin was convinced–would remain etched in his memory forever. Even the stench of alcohol and smoke would remain in his memory–not to mention all the strong smells emanating from the alphas.

“Are you happy now?” asked Jungkook, who sat by his side and continued to carefully scan the area with his gaze.

“I didn't think the alphas were having this kind of fun. It makes sense now that I think about it, but I'm slightly disappointed” replied Jimin who was looking at the rest of the room but with a different intent than Jungkook. He wanted every moment and every detail to be well stored in his brain so he could remember that unique experience forever.

“Alphas know how to have fun, hyung. But this is no ordinary place. This is no man's land where every gang tries to impose its dominance in one way or another. Although it may seem very calm to you, it is a constant war zone. You never know when someone is going to let off the first shot.” Explained in a hushed tone the smaller one always standing at attention.

A small group of alphas dressed in dark fireproof suits and matching pointy hats walked past them to the poker table. Jimin had heard many stories about The Arsonists gang members but this was the first time he had seen them live. They had always been Jimin's favorite people. They knew no sense of danger and were usually the ones who started the fights and then took off immediately after setting the fuse. Their agility and recklessness was known to all.

Jimin followed them the whole time with his gaze and saw that even in the way they walked they all maintained the same rhythm as if they had a melody embedded in their bodies that made them one machine.

They were there at the poker table to challenge the Vengeful Kings recognizable by their modern hanboks. They were among the most cunning and indecipherable. Little was known about them because of their wanting to be somewhat out of touch by banning technological means as well as their knowing how to blend in well outside their area.

Seoul was full of gangs according to different neighborhoods, yet Jimin was always confined to the Hoedong-dong part of Busan and their only neighbors were the Golden Raiders, to which Jungkook belonged, who occupied the Mandeok-dong area. Here he had been able to go a few times because there were good relations between their gangs. Now being there and having a chance to see with his own eyes all that he had been deprived of all his life. It was like finally seeing in color after always seeing in black and white.

There was a general commotion at one point that distracted him from his thoughts. He tried to locate where all the chatter was coming from and saw a large crowd in the arm-wrestling area.

The crowd consisted of many different gang members and surrounded a table at which sat a man in studded clothing and a young man in a red jacket that stood out a lot in a context where the favorite color was black.

Jimin could not get a good look at the two challengers given the influx of people surrounding them but he caught a glimpse of the studded man bent over the table as he held his arm in pain. The boy in the red jacket had just won the match and everyone was congratulating him.

“Who is he?” asked Jimin spontaneously as he shifted in his chair to try to get a better view.

“Someone you should stay away from,” Jungkook warned him.

“Kim Taehyung, future leader of the Shadow Tigers, also known as your biggest enemy.” Mingyu interjected, explaining the situation to him.

'Then it's him. You are real Kim Taehyung and not just a name in the wind,' thought Jimin, shocked by that news. He was sharing the same air as what he had always been told was his arch-enemy, the one he was supposed to destroy.

The air suddenly became more crisp for him, a chill ran down his spine, eyes focused on him anxious to bring him into better focus.

“We're going to go play some vending machines, will you join us?” said a friend of Jungkook's who nodded no.

That left just the two of them sitting at that table.

Jimin's head was beginning to hurt more and more; the smell of alpha was too strong in there. He saw in passing that the crowd from earlier had now moved to the pool table, which was closer to his table, and this increased his discomfort even more. The smell was getting stronger and stronger, and small beads of sweat were beginning to trickle down his forehead and neck.

Jungkook looked up at the group that had moved next to theirs for billiards and noticed that eyes were fixed on them, particularly on the blond man next to him.

Kim Taehyung was watching them.

The biker put his arm all tattooed on his friend's shoulders in a protective manner that, however, hinted at something else. From the outside it could look like the slimmer one was his partner, and Jungkook's expression was clear, 'if you get any closer, it's the end for you.'

A gaze challenge was brewing between the two alphas despite the fact that one of them was busy shooting the ball into the hole.

Jungkook began to growl and Jimin became frightened. His increasingly strong smell from the pheromones he was releasing to mark his friend was nauseating the omega who was feeling worse and worse.

“Jungkook-ah.”

The smaller one stopped growling and paying attention to the other alpha to devote himself exclusively to the omega.

“Could you get me something to drink? My throat is dry.”

“But I can't leave you here alone!” exclaimed Jungkook.

“Please, I need it. Would you rather I go?”

“No! Don't move from here for any reason, I'll do as quickly as I can and then we'll get out of here and I don't want to hear any reason.” Jungkook stood up abruptly, still shaken by the eye contact with the other alpha and determined to leave that place as quickly as possible.

He knew that leaving Jimin there alone was a problem but he had lost sight of his friends and the omega definitely had something wrong, he was sweaty and pale. He would get some water for him and his usual cocktail for himself.

Arriving at the counter, the bartender took his order and immediately set to work preparing it.

Jungkook leaned his arms on the counter and tapped his foot in time to the music as he watched spellbound as the bartender worked.

“A Moscow Mule, please,” said a deep voice behind him.

The newcomer leaned against the counter next to Jungkook, also now waiting for his drink.

The biker looked sideways at him to see who he was. He was wearing a large dark suit and a hat with a visor. A long golden necklace decorated his entire abdomen. Rhyme Assassins perforce.

“Do you like what you see?” asked the man, keeping his gaze fixed forward. He was wearing very dark sunglasses despite being inside a dark place, disregarding the fact that the sun had already set for a while.

Jungkook knew the question was directed at him because they were the only two people around.

“If you are referring to my Irish car Bomb, yes, I like it very much.”

The bartender handed him his drinks and Jungkook made to pay, but a hand on his wrist prevented him from doing so.

The biker turned his head in the direction of the man who had blocked his arm and looked at him ready for a challenge if it proved necessary.

“Are you even old enough to drink, kid?”

Jungkook saw that he raised an eyebrow behind those glasses as he asked that question. His big, juicy lips distracted him by capturing his full attention.

“Of course I do.”

“One wouldn't know it, you look like a child.”

“I'm of age, and anyway, the matter does not concern you.” He tugged his arm freeing himself from the other's grip.

“This round is on me, so you won't have to lie to your father when he checks your card charges.”

“Hey! I don't need to lie and I'm able to pay for my own drinks.”

“You just don't get that I'm trying to buy you a drink?” Sneered the man in the sunglasses.

It was not the first time an alpha had hit on him, but this one had a whole new way about him that took him by surprise. More than impressed by the attempted approach, he was puzzled but he had still gotten free drinks–it was still a victory in a way.

Determined not to show too much interest, he took his glass and water bottle for Jimin and, without a word, turned and went back to his table.

He felt the other alpha's eyes on him the whole time and smiled smugly.

His smile, however, was destined to die very soon because, when he laid his eyes on his table, he saw that it was empty. Jimin was no longer sitting there.

This was a huge problem.

Shit.

Jungkook began to search the crowd for his friend in hopes of finding him soon and without a hair out of place.

A few minutes earlier...

Jimin was feeling hotter and hotter and his head was hurting more and more. His nose was itchy from too many smells all mixed together, and he felt his face begin to blush more and more.

Okay, maybe there was a reason it was an alpha-only area–or maybe the presence of more betas and omegas would make the air more breathable?

He felt he was going crazy.

He felt a strange sensation in his stomach. Nausea, perhaps? He had no idea.

He had to go to the bathroom as soon as possible, it was the only way to breathe some clean air perhaps.

He got up from his chair taking a quick glance around him and saw that the way to the bathroom was clear and Jungkook was at the counter waiting. He would hurry and return quickly so he would not notice his momentary absence.

Fortunately, the bathroom was close to his location but those few meters felt like numerous kilometers as he walked them. He felt his legs shake a little and his body sweat more and more.

He was struck by a thought that further alarmed him. He had to hurry to get out of that room before he got into any trouble.

He tried to hurry as much as possible toward the bathroom door, hoping he would find no one else there. Any alpha could become a potential threat at that moment.

Arriving at the door, he quickly opened it and slipped inside locking it behind him.

He made sure he was alone there. He heard no noises from the bathrooms or the particularly strong smells that alphas always dragged around.

He hurried to the first sink and began to look at himself in the mirror. The redness on his cheeks was increasingly evident, as was the sweat that decorated no longer just his forehead. He struggled to breathe normally and felt his body increasingly out of control.

He knew those symptoms very well, but his heat had recently ended. He did not understand how it was possible that one was occurring at that moment. Such a thing had never happened to him.

He opened the faucet at the sink and began to throw cool water on his face in the hope of relieving his suffering somehow. He knew that what he needed now were his suppressors, but he did not have them with him since they were not to come in handy according to plan.

He continued to throw water at himself animatedly, no longer caring to refresh only his face.

Nothing, the water was not helping and by now he was all dripping from both his hair and his shirt.

He emitted a groan of pain as he held his hands firmly on the edges of the sink.

'This can't happen now, please...' he whimpered to himself in despair. His heartbeat accelerated more and more, partly from agitation, partly from his omega.

He began to inhale and exhale to try to calm down a bit and sat on the floor leaning his back against the wall. In terms of cleanliness that place left a lot to be desired but desperate times call for desperate measures.

He felt his head getting heavier and he began fanning himself listlessly with his hand to look for a meager refreshment somehow. If he kept this up, he would not even have the strength to get up and go back to Jungkook.

“Hey, are you okay?”

Jimin heard a very muffled voice. Was it real or was he hallucinating?

A hand lightly shook his body to get his reaction.

Jimin opened his eyes. When had he closed them? What was happening?

“How do you feel?” repeated that same voice but which now sounded more vivid.

The omega blinked several times to get a clear focus on who was in front of him.

Oh.

'It's him,' he thought.

He groaned in response, now unable to control his body and mind.

Too many smells all at once and now the strong, intense odor of Kim Taehyung in the bathroom with him were sending his wolf into a tailspin.

The only thing he could think of more coherently was how he could not fully focus on the smell of the alpha in front of him because his nose was too clogged at that moment.

No longer able to control himself, he released his pheromones into the air. By now his wolf was in command over his body. It was like getting rid of a too-tight lace that blocked his proper blood circulation. A slight sense of freedom pervaded his body, finally making him feel a little better.

“What the fuck?!” let out Taehyung shocked that what he was smelling was without a shadow of a doubt the unmistakable sweet smell of an omega.

Why was an omega there? How had it gotten there and gone unnoticed up to that point?

Seeing that the blond was unresponsive and seemed to be not even lucid, he tried to lift him up by placing his hands on his torso. The contact with his hot body made him swallow loudly.

“Listen to me, you must leave here immediately.” Taehyung tried to speak to him calmly, slowly punctuating his words by noting the other man's condition.

Still no response.

What was worse was that the omega's pheromones were starting to pinch his nose more and more and he felt that if he did not hurry, the situation would escalate quickly and not very well for either of them.

Taehyung wrinkled his nose and squinted his eyes trying in vain to protect the omega more than himself but every second that passed was getting worse and worse.

The smell of saltiness and dawn ipomea, also known as moonflowers, began to get stronger and stronger in that room.

The alpha prayed that no one would think of going to the bathroom at that time or it would be the end.

“Mh–please...” murmured the omega leaning his head on the other’s shoulder and bringing his nose closer and closer to the alpha's gland.

With a self-control that Taehyung did not even know he had until that moment, he pushed the omega away from his body while continuing to support him to prevent his trembling legs from driving him to the ground.

“Where is your alpha?”

“Um?” the shorter man looked at him confused. What was he talking about?

“The big buff guy who was holding you before.”

“I don't understand,” continued Jimin, who finally regained a moment of clarity.

He took the opportunity to free himself from the stranger's grip and stared at him in astonishment realizing the situation he was in.

“I have to leave,” he said aloud but facing himself, protectively wrapping his arms around his abdomen. He was afraid, very afraid. He should never have gone there that night. He was paying the price for his hybris.

He tried to go toward the door, but the alpha blocked him by passing him and stepping in front of him.

“You're a fool if you think you're going out of here in that condition.”

The pheromones the omega exuded were less than before but by now its scent had spread through the air and impregnated his clothes. Taehyung was putting all his will into not letting his wolf overpower him but he knew that most of the people in the other room would not be as merciful.

“I can't stay here.”

Jimin felt that he would not be lucid much longer. He had to hurry.

A loud noise from the main hall caught them by surprise. Jimin jumped in fright, while Taehyung turned sharply toward the door.

Screams and violent noises began to get louder and louder. Something was happening on the other side of the door and it did not bode well.

Jimin was terrified but could not help but cower more and more toward the floor feeling strong twinges in his stomach. He had a few minutes before he reached his so-called point of no return.

Taehyung's gaze kept leaping from the door to the omega on the floor not knowing what to do. He was experiencing a real internal crisis.

He hypothesized that a fight had broken out in the other room, in short what happened every night–something like that you'd expect in an area where all the gangs who hate each other are looking for fun, and what could be more fun for alphas than a fight? Nothing, in fact.

He kept thinking he couldn't leave the omega there, he would never get out alive, especially after what was happening now.

“You have to trust me, okay?” Taehyung said as he approached the omega and lowered himself so he could take him in his arms.

The omega did not resist; in fact, he moved a little, looking for the most comfortable position to be in the alpha’s arms. Did he do this voluntarily or taken by the moment he was going through? He did not know.

Taehyung could smell the smell of saltiness getting stronger and stronger. He concentrated and released a strong wave of pheromones so as to cover the omega's as much as possible with his own.

“Forgive me, but I'm doing this for you.”

Taehyung swallowed and brought his nose closer to the omega's neck. He began to smell him to cover his scent.

Now Jimin was beginning to smell of wood and magnolias, and his wolf felt strangely relaxed. Never before had his wolf agreed to be smelled by anyone but his parents. Once Jungkook had tried it as a joke but ended up with his chest all scratched up. The omega had attacked him with its nails, even drawing blood out of him.

Yet, at that moment, being sniffed by that stranger seemed like the fairest thing in the world.

The alpha's nose gently brushed against his skin in what was his most delicate area, while Jimin moved his head further and further to the side so as to allow him better access.

The omega could not control itself and let out a moan of pleasure that was soon followed by others. Taehyung’s wolf was pleased.

Unfortunately, however, it was not the right time to let go and lose control.

When Taehyung seemed to recover from that intense moment, he moved his head away and saw that the omega had closed eyes and a calmer pulse than he had felt before. It was the right time to get out of that place.

Trying to cover him up as much as possible so as not to be conspicuous, he opened the door with a fairly hard kick and slipped out of the bathroom.

The scene before them was what he expected. People throwing chairs, tables, and punches at each other to no end. The usual. It didn't even matter who started it first because it probably wasn't even anything egregious. Usually even a glance could set someone off.

He thought the best plan was to stay as close to the walls of that place as possible so as to avoid being hit by anyone.

Going completely unnoticed was impossible–especially if you were carrying a man on your lap.

One of the men in the fireproof suit began to approach him dangerously as he was halfway there. He was clearly aiming at him with his eyes and had a crooked smile that made it all the more disturbing.

Had he been free, without an omega in his arms, Taehyung would have thrown himself at him without a second thought and beaten him up as was his wont. But now the situation was very different and he could not endanger the blond boy.

He clutched the omega even tighter to himself and turned around with his back to the member of The Arsonists.

One blow. Two.

Taehyung's body trembled with rage as he felt the punches striking him in the back.

He turned his head so that he could see to the side the one who was attacking him.

Taehyung's eyes turned red, a sign that the alpha in him was taking over his body. He began to grind his teeth hard.

The other alpha, excited and scornful of danger as was typical of his gang, emitted a hearty giggle ready to begin what he considered to be the 'real' fun.

The blond's warm breath warmed his chest. He was panting and trembling again. The scent of the alpha on him would be covered again by the omega's pheromones in no time, and if Taehyung did not hurry, they would all be aware of the presence of an intruder there.

He had to protect him. No matter what or why.

Caught in a fit of rage and haste, the alpha threw a strong kick back making sure to hit his opponent's pelvic area. His legs were the only weapon he possessed and could actually use at that moment.

He heard his opponent's scream of pain as he yelled at him, telling him that it was against etiquette to make such a move. He doubled over until he ended up on the ground as he pressed the spot where he had been hit with his hands.

Taehyung huffed black with rage and, turning to face him, kicked him again just as hard but this time in the chest so as to knock him out definitively.

“Alpha.”

A faint, almost inaudible whisper that did not escape the taller man, however.

“Don't worry, we're almost out,” he said in a calm voice to the omega with the intent to soothe him.

He continued to hold him close to his body and in the process also tried to caress him to comfort him. Taehyung was not usually like this, not at all . He was also surprised at how he was acting.

The omega meanwhile clenched Taehyung's shirt in his fists, seeking even closer proximity between their bodies.

He was grateful that the smaller man's head was resting on the right side of his body and not the left. His heart was beating so fast it might have bothered him.

“Hot” was all the omega muttered.

He had been trying to smell it even more since they had entered the room.

Jimin had been hit again by that flood of smells, now even stronger since the alphas were engaged in that struggle for superiority among themselves. The only way to stay slightly healthy was to remain anchored in Taehyung's scent.

'Good,' his wolf repeated in his head the more he sniffed it. 'More, more. I want more.'

Taehyung could not afford to have another confrontation with some other alpha. He began to run as fast as he could toward the exit of the club.

Fortunately, his path was quite clear and he was just as fast. He had to avoid some wooden legs of some now completely destroyed chair that flew inches from his body, but it was a piece of cake for him.

Fresh air.

Taehyung let out a sigh of triumph and relief as soon as he stepped outside.

He was all sweaty and hot and now the coolness of the night hit him like bullets, but that was not the thing that mattered at that moment.

There were several alphas outside the club who had managed to get out before the fight started and others who had had enough after a few black eyes and headed for the exit.

Before he looked conspicuous, Taehyung decided to head hastily to the next alley where there would be no one, or so he hoped.

And indeed there was.

Fatigued, he placed the omega on the ground so he could rest for a moment and catch his breath.

Jimin felt a little better now that the only scent he could smell was Taehyung's. His wolf was not very happy with the distance that was now between them–little in truth but it was still too much for him.

In fact, unable to control himself, he emitted faint moans in the hope that the alpha would understand and approach him.

The chattering coming from outside the Bliss was very loud and could also be heard from where they were but neither of them paid attention to it, busy listening to anything else, such as the beats of their hearts that seemed to be competing for who should get out of the chest first. A race that was lost and won at the start by both of them since without knowing it they were traveling at the same pace.

Jimin looked longingly at the alpha in front of him. Was it him or his wolf in heat? It didn't matter because they both liked that sight even though they knew it was forbidden.

Taehyung was aware of the lascivious glances the omega was giving him, and it was all awakening his friend down there more and more.

“Jimin! Jimin hyung!” he suddenly heard shout.

The spell between them crumbled into a thousand pieces because Jimin instinctively turned his head to see who was saying his name.

Jungkook's figure grew closer and closer. The young alpha was advancing toward them all worried. His eyes were fixed on the omega sitting on the ground.

Arriving a few meters away from the two, he decided to pay attention to the other alpha there and, convinced that he had bad intentions with his friend, launched himself at him without a second thought.

Jungkook was known throughout the Busan district for being very strong physically despite his young age. His muscular physical build was already supposed to be a clear warning sign to his opponents, and it usually worked, but not for Taehyung.

He was also very strong. He may not have had the same fame and technique as the younger one, but he never backed down in a fight, and in this way he had learned a lot.

The biker threw a very strong punch that hit Taehyung's jaw, who took the blow and returned the gesture by punching him in turn in the stomach.

Jungkook was livid with rage and began to growl more and more ferociously as he continued to unleash punch after punch.

“You! How dare you!” ranted Jungkook blinded by rage.

“Calm down! I didn't do anything!” Taehyung replied, sounding more calm. The reality was that he did not want to draw unwanted stares on them that could have caused even more trouble.

He had recognized the boy immediately; he was the one clutching the blond man in the pub.

He was the alpha of that omega.

It was normal that he was worried about his omega, it was normal that he wanted to beat him up, it was normal that he was so angry. Yet, Taehyung’s wolf seemed unwilling to accept this. He could not be his omega, he simply could not, it was not the right thing.

“Please stop,” Jimin said in a feeble voice. He looked at them anxiously and worriedly. He just wanted to go home and get his suppressors, or at least that was what his more rational part wanted, because his more instinctive part was definitely in favor of taking Kim Taehyung's hand and going away together to a place where his heat would be properly satisfied.

As if he had heard an order, Taehyung's wolf made him stop immediately.

The same did not apply to Jungkook, however, who instead struck him very violently in the face.

A cry of pain came out of Taehyung's mouth as he quickly covered his nose from which blood was streaming out, probably broken.

“Jungkook, stop!” shouted the aching omega who, with all his remaining strength, got up from the ground clutching his lower abdomen tightly with one arm because of the twinges of pain. They were so strong that he felt his stomach would soon be torn apart.

He quickly reached out toward Jungkook, who seemed ready to strike a new blow, and pinned his tattooed arm ready to strike the next blow.

Jimin's gaze was serious and grim at the same time.

He could not allow his savior to be killed.

The two friends stared intensely into each other's eyes in a battle of domination to decide who would have the last word in that matter.

Jimin would accept no defeat.

“But, hyung! He deserves it!”

“Calm down, Jungkook. Nothing happened, on the contrary! You are misunderstanding, he saved my life.”

Upon hearing those words, Taehyung felt a slight sense of contentment that led him involuntarily to release a new wave of pheromones.

Jungkook, not content with that, responded in turn by also releasing his own creating a potentially fatal odor mix for the omega, who by now exhausted and overwhelmed by all that had happened in the last hour, finally succumbed.

His body slumped in slow motion toward the ground, promptly caught before contact with the asphalt by the friend in front of him.

Jimin was very hot and all sweaty; he had to be taken away immediately.

“Don't ever go near him again or your nose will no longer be the only broken part of your body,” Jungkook said before turning to leave with the unconscious omega in his arms.

“And you no longer take your omega into a no-go area for him.”

The biker smiled to himself upon hearing that the future leader of the Shadow Tigers referred to Jimin as his omega. He decided he would neither deny nor confirm, convinced that this way he would safeguard his friend.

As that pair left, Taehyung continued to dab his nose. The blood was no longer coming out but he felt a painful burning that prevented him from breathing normally.

That had not been his night at all.

He was convinced that the next day he would wake up with bruises all over his back and nose, needing urgent dressing.

Yet, he did not regret it. Each of those bruises would have meant that he had succeeded in protecting the omega, so that was fine.

He left that place shortly thereafter, heading for his home. Too much had happened in one night and he needed to rest and think.

When he had seen the blond man sitting at the table, his heart had probably missed a beat–maybe even more than one. He had not expected to see there again the man he had been dreaming of frequently for weeks. When he had recognized him, he had not been able to take his eyes off him. He was too excited and could not let him slip away again like last time.

Discovering that he was an omega had excited him and not a little, especially after smelling his scent, which immediately became his favorite in the entire universe. But seeing him with that blustery, pumped-up alpha had been a blow.

He would have to mend his heart at another time though, because once he got home he would have to think about things that would not infuriate his father.

“You are the future leader of the Shadow Tigers, you have to think of the group before yourself. Love doesn't exist, only the weak who always lose believe that, and we are not like that. We are made to win and always will. When you are in rut find an omega and give life to a descendant. That's all you need.”

His father's words always haunted him–well, it wasn't difficult when he repeated them almost every day.

But Taehyung was not like that, he was not like him. He had begun to believe in love when on that May evening he had seen him in the crowd. Could your heart suddenly start beating so fast for someone you saw passing by? It had happened to him, and from that day on that blond boy had been a recurring character in his dreams, the only place where he could meet him without any problems.

He smiled unconsciously as he remembered what had happened. He had been lucky enough to find him but also unlucky enough to lose him right away. Who knows if the third time he would see him would also be the right time. Hoping there would be a third time.

Arriving in front of his front door, after what had been a long walk necessary to clear his thoughts and calm his body after being in close proximity with an omega in heat, he saw the sun rising higher and higher in the sky. He could have slept only a few hours–five if he was quick enough to wash and medicate himself.

A shower was necessary even though he was a little reluctant to take one because it would wipe away all traces of the omega. Its smell of sea and moonflowers still clung to him. He took the opportunity to breathe it in again. Eliminating that smell meant there was nothing left of him, no trace of his existence.

His wolf whimpered. He didn't want to.

Taehyung sighed resignedly. As much as he wanted to dive into that scent and never surface again, that was not possible. If anyone smelled that scent on him it would be the end.

Keeping his wolf and his heart at bay, he slipped into the shower.

He might have been able to remove his smell from his body, but he could not remove from his mind his face, the undisputed protagonist of that night's dream as well.

Notes:

I started writing this story shortly after the release of the Who mv that inspired this whole first chapter.

I don't know how many chapters there will be yet, I only know that the first ones have already been written so I should be quick to publish at least these (I hope).

I thank so much my partner in crime Amy who has been going crazy with me for months for this story.

Before leaving you I wanted to say that each member of the Bangtan is part of a different gang with particular characteristics and that little by little they will all be introduced.

See you soon!
