Chapter Text
Its something I feel every night
The wind grazing over my shoulders
And the ice at my extremities
It’s something i never liked
Something I’ve had to learn to deal with as of late
My heat, my warmth is gone
It’ll be back, i know it
I just have to wait
But in the dead of the night
When the freezing feeling is settling into my heart
I question
..what if it doesn’t come back?
What if I’m left in my bed of hypothermia?
Of cold..
Yet as I listen quietly to the tilts of the fan above me
Supplying me with more of the windy, harboring feeling
A fan that I dont have the energy to turn off
I hold onto that hope, the warmth that I know will be back
Even if its only a little bit, the golden morning light will bring only a fraction of that burning feeling that I miss each night
I will wait
