Chapter 1: The Beginning.

Chapter Text

3 Months.

Three.

That’s all it took for the Eraserhead Clan to rise up against the government, and succeed.

They were swift and efficient. They started by destroying the Heroes Commission, exposing them and their secrets. The Heroes Commission was the only thing standing between society and uprising villains. It just so happens that, like most governments, it was so very corrupt. This made it all the more easier for the Eraserhead Clan to exploit their secrets; release locked documents to the public; publicise covered cases of abuse; exposing their many programmes, some of which involved kidnapping and abusing kids for ‘justice’.

It was safe to assume that the Heroes Commission would never be able to recover from their wrath. Well, that left space for uprising villains to attempt to take their place, and enter: the Eraserhead clan.

One of the most feared villain groups in society. Their main circle of members was small but very powerful. Rumours began to spread of a man who could tell whether or not you were lying or telling the truth. Sightings of a fine purple mist which would knock out anyone who inhaled it. People swore that there were more clouds around than normal, that someone was on the clouds, watching over them. Often, you would be able to hear ear-piercing screams from miles away.

It wasn’t until they announced themselves to the public as the new operators of the Japanese Government that people learned their names and faces. There were five people who the public needed to be aware of.

‘True-man’- The lie Detector. An average-looking man, plain of face with brown hair and slight stubble on his chin. His quirk would allow him to notice if a person was telling a lie or telling the truth. He was considered a valuable piece to Eraserhead’s Clan, the man who could play god, deciding whether or not a man was lying, whether or not a man could be killed.

‘Midnight’- A youthful woman with purple hair and sharp eyes. She had a quirk which would allow a person to enter a forced slumber. She was valuable in the sense of controlling large crowds, she seemed fierce, and intimidating yet had a bubbly personality.

‘Loud Cloud’- A tall man with pale blue, floaty hair and the ability to make dense clouds. He had sky-blue eyes, a muscular build and tanned skin. A somewhat cheerful person, with a grin on his face during the announcement, seemingly happy to be around his group. He seemed to be one of the most reasonable in the group.

‘Present Mic’- A large blonde-haired man with vibrant green eyes and a voice quirk. He was introduced as the second in command. He seemed cheerful, yet intimidating, having a careful eye. You could practically see the cogs turning in his head, his smarts. Due to his puppy dog exterior, he seemed like you could get a beer with him.

And…
Eraserhead. A mysterious man who was crowned ‘leader’ or well, president. Though he wasn't actually introduced during the interview, he chose to hide his face and quirk, to stick to the shadows. The only known fact about the man being, the knowledge that he had a kill count of over a thousand. He was feared, very feared. Whenever someone spoke word of him, they spoke of a grey scarf and deep red eyes, a plain man with a sharp, calculating gaze.

To say no one really knew the man, only knowing snippets of what he looked like, but not knowing anything but his merciful nature only added to his intimidation. People were scared because they didn’t know him, what he’d back down to, what measures he would take. It helped enforce fear. A good yet scary tactic.

Heroes had attempted to stop the takeover, of course, they did! They wouldn’t be called heroes if they hadn’t. Their attempt didn’t make it far though. The heroes that had tried were effortlessly murdered, a swift but painful death for each one. The number one hero at the time, All Might, died at the hands of Eraserhead. Rumours say the fight lasted no more than ten minutes and that it only lasted that long due to the heroic monologuing.

Civillains and heroes alike were terrified, backing down and learning to obey their new government, Eraserhead’s Government.

Not a lot changed with the new government, heroics was banned from being taught and heroes were to be captured and killed off. Anti-discrimination laws were properly enforced and executed. Other expectations such as quirk regulations were published in a well-written report with Eraserhead’s henchman wandering the streets to ensure standards were kept. Overall, most new laws seemed to be published in an attempt to change society for the better.

Members of society were conflicted, people recognised that their new government was villain-led, that they could be murdered or kidnapped at any point and no one would be able to do anything about it. They saw that their new leaders could practically do anything they wanted and yet no one would bat an eye. On the other hand, they seemed to have the best interest of their people which was a nice change, exposing the heroes' commission was a show of respect for the public. No one seemed to want to follow them but if they had no choice, it wasn’t the worst-case scenario, right?

They were villains, they couldn’t be good people, not when they’ve taken the lives of others. Merciless kills happen all the time through the streets, anyone who wouldn’t follow laws or redeem themselves. Their new government clearly weren’t afraid of making a good kill which was one of the scariest parts of living in the society they created.

Despite them being scared, there were aspects of society that would never change, no amount of fear would last long enough to change that. Discrimination is a virus. It spreads, and it makes living insufferable for those living with it. It was impossible to get rid of.

Discrimination still happened. Albeit, people were more careful about not being caught, but it still happened.

As it stood, society was influenced by their new leaders, people were scared, and changes were made but everything was the same, just this time, there were no heroes.
