Percy rolled his eyes. Another family reunion with immortal children.
When a light appeared in the center of the room, Percy instinctively brought his hand to Riptide, watching with narrowed eyes as the figure stood up.
He looked about his same age, Percy noticed. He had messy dark black hair, blue eyes, and pronounced cheekbones.
Percy would have taken him for one of his immortal brothers, if his father wasn't watching him warily, as if he might be a threat.
Well, Percy corrected himself, after meeting Kym and Chrisaore, maybe that wasn't enough proof. All of Poseidon's children were a threat.
It was the confusion and lack of sparkle in his father's eyes that had confirmed to Percy that this boy was not his immortal brother.
"Who dares…..?" Zeus yelled, and Percy rolled his eyes. Always with the drama.
"Sorry, I came here looking for someone, but apparently all I found was idiots."
Percy snorted. That boy was a legend.
Annabeth leaned over to whisper to him. "Who is he?"
Percy shrugged. “At this point, it doesn't matter and I just love him.”
Meanwhile, the gods were amazed at his brazenness.
They had struggled to accept it from Percy, but the boy had shown loyalty and strength to deserve some free pass.
This guy? He didn't have the same privilege.
Ares was the first to try to hit him, but the raven-haired man waved his hand, sending him flying backwards.
Magic. That boy had magic.

When Albion needed him the most.
If Merlin ever saw Kilgharrah again, he would strangle him with his overgrown bat wings.
He had sensed Arthur's rebirth, but not in Albion. Not even in England, or in Europe.
No, Arthur Pendragon had decided to be reborn in fucking America .
Why? It wasn't the only place that totally sucked.
And, as if that wasn't enough, Merlin found himself in front of a room full of gods.
As if those druids’ weren't enough. No, he was now ahead of the Greek ones.
What the Greek gods were doing in America was another question Merlin didn't have time or inclination to answer.
He left these reflections to Leon.
The knight had been smart to stay in England. He had said it was Merlin's job to investigate, but now Merlin realised: he was simply smarter than Merlin was.
Merlin sighed, trying to figure out why his Arthur-radar , as Leon called it, was vibrating the way it did. He would find Arthur after having some fun with these immortal asses.
“You’re no creation of mine,” Hecate said with certainty. The man in front of her feels so… disturbingly different. He couldn’t be one of her creations, she would know it.
Merlin smiled at her, nodding in agreement. “No, I’m not.”
Poseidon frowned at the boy that looked no older than his Percy. But he was sure his age was more than likely similar to his own.
“You’re not one of our children, either.” Poseidon stated. For a moment, his appearance and attitude reminded him of Percy's. But, no, he would recognise his own son.
“Afraid not,” Another nod.
“You’re no god, either. I would have heard of you at some point,” Hades said.
Merlin stared at him for a moment before making his first contrary statement since his arrival.
Smirking, he replied. “No. You wouldn’t have. Not if I didn’t want you to.”
He sat back as the outrage and confusion from his comment began and winked at the amused black haired boy staring his way.
A loud boom could be heard and Merlin nearly rolled his eyes at the dramatics these people had shown.
And that’s coming from him!
Leon would never believe it!
Zeus stared down the Olympians present as they gathered themselves.
“Enough. The boy will explain what he means or he will face consequences.”
And at that, all eyes turn to Merlin.
He blinked as he registered the casual threat that was made and heard a sigh from the only person he was sure was an actual young adult here.
Cocking his head, he asked what the consequences of keeping silent would be.
“Your death, if I’m feeling merciful.” Zeus’ tone didn’t betray whether he was joking or not. Merlin decided that he was too funny to be taken seriously.
“Well, you’re certainly welcome to try,” he drawled. He saw the flash of anger rise in the man and didn’t wait for him to get a clutch of his pearls before standing up.
Waving at the kid, he teleported away to the stunned silence of the others.

“Meeting adjourned, your honor?” Percy couldn’t help but tease his uncle. This was the best council meeting since 2017.
Zeus‘ glare promised assigned duties for his “insolence” but he thought it was worth it.

The rain had continued to fall since the boy had disappeared from the throne room.
Percy was smiling at the sight of Zeus' anger. It was definitely hilarious, and Annabeth next to him was constantly sighing.
"I don't like him..." Annabeth muttered.
"Are you joking?" Percy replied. “He was brilliant !”
Annabeth sighed, before saying. "Doesn't that seem strange? We're about to face a threat, and..."
"I know." Percy nodded. "But that boy isn't a danger."
Annabeth looked at him curiously. "How can you be sure?"
Percy cast a thoughtful glance at the exit. "I feel like I know him."

Merlin was walking through the streets of New York when he saw a familiar face.
The boy who had laughed during his presence in front of the immortal clotpoles was there, a stroller in front of him and a little girl on top of it.
"Beautiful girl." Merlin approached him. "What is her name?"
"Estelle, she’s my younger sister." The boy introduced her, a soft look on his face. "And I'm Percy Jackson."
The boy held out his hand towards Merlin, who shook it.
A shiver ran through Merlin, who blinked.
"I'm Merlin." Merlin said. "I couldn't help but notice you on Olympus."
"It's been a nice change, you know? I'm usually the one who makes them angry." Percy smiled at him amusedly. "I've never seen something so funny since my dad forced Zeus to admit that he needed him during the fight against Typhon. Or when Thalia and I scolded Zeus for trying to punish Apollo."
Merlin nodded, smiling. “You know, I didn't just come to make fun of those big asses.”
"No, I guess, but it was a nice pastime." Percy winked.
Merlin laughed. "Oh, definitely. Anyway... no, I'm looking for my friend."
"What is his name?" Percy asked.
"Arthur." Merlin said. "Arthur Pendragon."
Percy blinked. "Like the one from the stories?"
"Exactly the one from the stories." Merlin nodded. "And I'm Merlin, the one in the same stories."
“I thought you were an old man.” Percy murmured.
Merlin sighed. "I was an old man on three occasions , and Leon took the opportunity to mock me forever ! Can you believe him?"
"What a bastard." Percy said, showing support towards Merlin. "I can help you with that. My cousin is Hades’ son, he can tell me if your friend is reborn or not."
"Thank you." Merlin smiled. "I appreciate this."
"Don't worry." Percy replied. “Maybe my uncle will stop making this dam rain fall.”
"I can try." Merlin murmured. “Once I get it started, maybe I can even stop it.”
Percy smiled, his eyes shining. "Zeus would hate it! Please do it!"
***
Zeus was downright angry when he realized that the troublemaker had stopped his rain.
Poseidon and Hades were simply amused.
