Worst Witch World.

It was weird, she might not have been born a real girl in her original incarnation before she had originally gone to Hogwarts and stayed there as a student before she left during her second year, what with the Heir of Slytherin mess - hardly a Gryffindorish move on her part, but she had become so heartily sick and tired of being accused of setting the monster of Slytherin onto the muggle-borns, and she hadn't had any kind of support system to tempt her to stay in the first place - but thanks to the life she'd had after that, the three lives following that one, and her new, current incarnation in this alternative reality, she had adapted remarkably well although she'd had a fetish for transforming partially into a girl before Hogwarts anyway.

Idly, as she fixed her school uniform - she needed to really get back in touch with her past; the version of her that lived at the Dursleys had always been up early, but thanks to later habits and transferring her essence after figuring out how to do it after acquiring the book along with many other arcane books and holocrons (hey, a wizard fan gave the inventor in the Star Wars verse the name) of ancient sorcerers who'd accelerated the knowledge of magic centuries before her own birth, that part of her had slowly died out - and thought.

She was not a native of this reality.

She wasn't even a native of this time.

She had come here after she had gradually become tired of the wizarding and muggle worlds despite advancing both of them in her own ways, and she had decided to leave that reality after being inspired by muggle pop culture and seeing it was possible.

In her original life, she had been abused by her mother's bitch of a sister (not this mother, the mother of this world), and her family, secretly becoming more than aware of her powers and learning how to use them, although her knowledge of how to do so was crude.

She had discovered she could shape change, but the power was so limited that it was pointless using it, and more than once she had used that power to become who she liked, and discovered she preferred being a girl, rather than a boy, although if she had used that power the way it was at the time it would have been weird; while she'd have the head of a girl, she would be a boy underneath.

Not a good combination.

But in the end, when Hagrid had taken her to Diagon Alley, rushing her through and thinking she would be too startstruck to notice (one of the problems with Dumbledore, and the Dumbledorian way of thinking was if you're meeting an abused child, you automatically think they're too slow, too stupid to pick things up without realising they're sharper than you are) and she had managed to return to Diagon Alley and discovered new resources and even her own family's history, and even a few places to live when she was older.

The goblins had even granted her former incarnation special information concerning Hogwarts, especially when she had learnt what Dumbledore had done.

A part of her had been tempted to leave Hogwarts behind without even stepping foot into the castle, but she had wanted to see what the school was like.

A year and a bit later she had her answer; the school was a fucking hell hole.

Fake friends.

Manipulative headmasters (one of her reasons for attending the school was to get a feel for Dumbledore, see why he was controlling her and sending her back to the Dursleys and otherwise wiping her memories and forcing her to forget her escape attempts).

Useless teachers.

Moronic students who cared either for gawping stupidly at her forehead and the scar that was there, or declaring themselves her mortal enemy.

There was danger everywhere, to cap it all off. A troll had gotten into the castle, and on top of that the Dark Lord who'd murdered her family was there too, and in the next year she had been accused of opening the Chamber of Secrets and unleashing the monster of Slytherin on the school, all without thinking for an instant if she had been responsible then she would have covered her tracks better.

There were good points though; thanks to the goblins and House Elves, she discovered the Room of Requirement, and with its help along with its dimensional properties, she stole ancient knowledge on immortality, notably essence transfer - putting her soul into another body which would not impact her magic, cloning, books on wandless magic which came from the magical school Uagadou time travel and dimensional travel. But when the monster was unleashed, she had not bothered to explore the reason why she could speak to snakes.

Big mistake.

If she'd known about her parseltongue and the stigmas attached, she would never have revealed it.

She was ostracised by the school, teachers and staff alike. She was hexed repeatedly in public, while the teachers did nothing, they fully believed she was responsible, but they thought she was begging for attention. Even the school nurse didn't help. Her teammates on the Quidditch team became more violent (ironically she was great on a broom back then, but the brooms in this world were crap, witches and wizards sat on them differently, prizing elegance with common sense and safety), forcing her to use her skills.

One night, she left Hogwarts. She went to Gringotts and she decided to resume her muggle education before she moved on with her life, deciding to study magic in secret without interference. At the same time, the goblins discovered a piece of Voldemort's soul in her head, and they removed it and drained the Death Eaters and their master of their magic, killing them stone dead. But while she was happy and studying while the magical world reeled from the revelations all of the Death Eaters needed to become willing to become Death Eaters, along with how Sirius Black, her godfather was innocent, she couldn't get essence transfer out of her mind.

How many people yearned for a fresh life? But here she could get it.

Studying magical cloning while at school in Australia, far away where she could be left alone, she returned to Britain, and she cloned a female body, remembering all the time she had used the Room of Requirement to play fantasies where she was a girl and got herself a female body. Why not? Her relationship with Sirius ended before it started; to her disgust, the idiot had trusted Dumbledore, and Sirius tried reaching out to her but when they met, Dumbledore showed up, demanding Harry come with him.

Furious and betrayed, she had left and the next day Sirius Black received word the godfather bond was severed. Permanently. Later that day, she was admitted into magical foster care in Brazil as a baby girl. She chose Brazil to become a student at the school, Castelobruxo. After going through a few more lives, where she went to other magical schools to experience the best of everything - Ilvermorny, Castelobruxo and even getting new bodies that began life from her teen years until she changed bodies when she was in her 50s, she advanced muggle development, inspired by sci-fi to get humanity out into space.

By the end of her second life, muggles had colonised the moon and Mars, with their eyes focusing on Venus, Mercury and the sun to launch a Dyson swarm around it. With magic, it was pathetically easy to make the muggles do it. She had pushed, on and on, even setting up interplanetary wars to drive scientific advancement up.

And then, she became bored. She used her knowledge of time travel and dimensional travel and she came to this new reality.

Here, magic was different, and she only discovered it after meeting Maud Spellbody and became friends before the entrance exam at Cackles, and she'd found out muggle-borns were not common. How was she to know her potions knowledge was useless? If she had known that Ethel would miss out, she would never have done it.

But this world was a breath of fresh air; while some things were irritatingly different, she had quickly gained some skill in the wandless magic of this world, as she had at Uagado, even if she would be a long way from becoming a fully-fledged potions mistress. Still, even if she didn't, and the Witches' code (who in the name of Merlin came up with that?) didn't bog her down, didn't mean she couldn't make changes.

After fixing her appearance once more, Mildred Hubble, once known as Harry Potter, nodded approvingly and walked out of her bedroom, cursing HB for making sure her boots were a size too small, forcing her to keep them untied - no way she was gonna go walking in tightened boots - and she grinned at Tabby, her cat.

"See ya later, Tabs," she stroked the cat gently before grabbing her bag, glancing back at herself in the mirror, and she winked.
