Chapter Text
“Do you promise to tell the truth?” Charlie asks.
Alastor takes a deep breath. “Yes.”
Rosie smiles. “This is going to be session one. Firstly, start with your childhood. What were your parents like?”
Alastor freezes. He grips his cane and starts talking.
“My mother was a sweet and kind woman. She made the best jambalaya… and she always smiled. When I grew up, people often bullied me for my skin color. But Mama always fought back for me,” Alastor answers.
Charlie sees the hesitation for him to say what his father was like and places a hand on his shoulder.
“And your father… he was the bad one?” she asks.
“…Yes. Father was a horrible man. He abused Mama often… and he would hit me a lot.” Alastor takes another deep breath.
“One day… he decided to use my body for his own pleasures. I still feel the… touches.”
“Is that why you don’t like being touched?” Charlie asks quizzically.
Alastor nods. “One day… he raped me.”
