Chapter Text

Ame , diminutive for Amanda , after along day at work , died after having saved two little children ( F (6) , M (10) ) from very premature death. Thanks to her rapid response she pushed them out of the way of incoming truck belonging to a company well-known for being responsable of such incedents. Unfortunatly the truck didn't stop in time to save the heroic young woman ( 28 ) from death. The authorities are still working on this case ....

At that moment Ame opened her eyes again . The God in front of her noticed this and smiled amicably. She supposed that he could've chosen a different appearence , one less plesant on the eyes. The entity seemed refined in both the way he dressed and in how he carried himself.
She contemplated asking again if it was all a dream , but in her mind she knew that this was all true. Ame wanted to ask the God what would she do now that she was dead?
He chuckled mischieviously and answered

" Well , now you have a few options before you. One : you go on reach whatever afterlife you belive in and forget this conversation"

She was shaking her head even before he had finished speaking.

"Or option two : you choose an Universe to be reborn in and I grant you four wishes ; three to cash in now and one later at your convinience. They can be however big or small you want them to be."

Ame had questions but was rather esitant to voice them . The God said "Remember I can read your mind. Of course you can ask your quetions"
"So then : Does the choice of the Universe count as a wish? ; Will I have to adhere to the rules of that World? Like if I wish for magic in the Fullmetal Universe , would I have to use it only in special circumstances or do I lose the ability ?"

"No the Universe doesn't count . No you'd be able to use that power however you like. You can take all the time you need."

Ame proceded to carefully consider all her options for almost an entire year . During that period of time she witnessed almost 20 other people that had been offered the same choice as her : had seen some immediately choose all their powers and World , other would take some time to ponder before choosing as well but the result was the same : No one had made it back to the room she and the God were in. She had discovered that there was a caveat in the conctract with the God : the heroes had to accomplice their goal before dying to be marked as "done" and returning to this very room. Either they died or they abbandoned the mission in favor of their new life in another World , therefore being stripped of their powers.

Ame had finally reached a conclusion , she would go to him and ask for these powers : to be reborn with the ability to shapeshift ; to know all the relevant events of a certain time frame ( she would ask for a book in a code only she could read ) and last but not least to channel the power of the elements as she wanted ( kind of like in Fairy Tail , so more like "proper" magic ). She had decided to become overpowered. As she began approaching the God she thought about her soon to be past life . She had graduated college and had begun working on her dream project : to develop a game all the while trying to live life with a spice of immagination. Her parents had insisted that she find a husband or a boyfriend ( like that would help anything in her life in any way significant . )

But no more reminiscing about her past world. Ame would finally start her new life in a completely new world : Narutos. The being had approchead her a few minutes ago and had been staring at her since. The God was easy on the eyes and his manners were the height of gentleman behavior . He everyday always had a change of outfits and made her laugh and smile sincerely for the first time in a long while. After a year she had begun getting to know the only other being in the room. As she thought he was charming and could do jokes. She was going to have to leave him in order to fullfil her goal : spare a little bit of hurt to some characters she thought deserved better and bringing a little joy and happines in this sad , sad wolrd.

She was sad to leave the rather handsome stranger but it was to fulfill a goal higher than her own in a world not her own .

When she closed her eyes she knew no more .

A sigh was heard echoing in the empty room . He was sad she didn't remeber him , for all the time they passed together in another life . He picked her up and brought her to the room she had had before coming back to him , altering both the dress shirt and cargo pants she had into a nightgown ( a bit old fashioned , he knew ) and the room to reflect the style of dress she now wore .

He wanted her back into his life , maybe he was selfish and self-centered but he just wanted to bring his soulmate back to him .

Chapter Text

By the time Kuro was 10 he'd already come to terms with the fact he was no longer a female and had long since started his trainig in the ninja arts. He was a lost cause in hand-to -hand combact , so instead he'd picked up a lance. His new parents weren't even preoccupied by the fact that he was near sharp objects ( well times were different , but really not even an ounch of preoccupation? ) . His sisters , on the other hand , knew that it was something important for him but instead of trying to change his mind they encouraged him to follow his passions .
At the start of his training regimen he'd thought about unlocking his magic , but when he'd reflected on it he changed his mind. If he could do a justu on a certain amount of times then he'd try with magic ( when he finally finds a book or two about the subject , one of his wishes from the God ) and some things like the Henge tecnique didn't make sense to learn , he had the ability to shapeshift afterall , also that tecnique was detectable in the anime so logic dictates that in here it could be detected too.

He'd learnt his Chackra nature by pestering his parents to buy an afffinity paper from another civilian merchant that had ties to a ninja clan by pullining a few strings . In return they'd demanded for all his time at social gatherings they'd intended him to partecipate when he was a little older . ( His new parents were a pain in the neck : they didn't care that hated the way they pareded him around like he was some sort of animal at the zoo . They were also haughty in rergards of his sisters Naoko and Hinoka : like they weren't even worth their time or attention anymore now that they were ' approaching marriable age ' or some such thing ) . In two words they were a pain in his behind .

Appart from this inner rant his chackra nature was water as the paper had become wet after a few seconds of contact . He rembembered that he could explain any type of ice magic as a kekkai genkai if he could guess the traits that belonged to the Yuki clan in Water . Kuro rembered that by the time of the ' normal timeline ' a.k.a. Naruto's time the clan had been whittled down to just Haku and his mother by the bloody feuds and general climate of the horrible Bloody Mist and the Third Mizukages reign .

Apart from training he'd been spending time with his sisters Naoko and Hinoka and learnt some things about them : they had wanted to continue their education but their parents had forbidden them to , so in an act of rebellion they had thought to blackmail him into teaching them ( he'd have done it regardless of this , but with this they earned his respect ) . So he'd helped them choose what to study and Hinoka had chosen literature and more humanitarian subjects and Naoko had wanted to take accounting as a subject , to help our parents business. Kuro had taken a brief course of introduction back when he'd still been in college and had decided to continue it throughout the years , even if he hadn't been able to make it his full-time job like he'd hoped to .

He found that his sisters were kind people that didn't deserve being treated that way and he wanted to make up to them now that he could . So he'd tried spending a lot of time with them but he just could comprehend why they sometimes treated like glass , like one wrong gust of wind could blow him over and take him up in the sky , away from them . It seemed like there was something he couldn't know , he didn't have the right to know .

Kuro had known that Chackra was a much more limited power system than magic. Minato was considered a genius because he was proficient in multiple nature transformations , magic on the other hand had no limits : you could learn anything and weren't limited in options on the subjects you may have wanted to try : sure you had a propension to a certain type of magic , but as long as you had the time and magic reserves you didn't have to limit yourself to only one type for your whole life ( if you didn't mind just being proficient and not a master ) . So in that sense magic was much more powerful in this Universe than just jutsus : it was just more versatile .

They'd been going to the markets too during the day and Kuro had been searching for one or more books about magic ... and that day he'd found them he brought : " A beginners guide to aiding your comrads " ," Ice sculptures " , " A beautiful sunset " and " Daybreak " ( his sisters were giving him looks , because those books looked like scams) .

Life is strangely peacefull ( The Second Shinobi War should be in full swing ) and their family plans a trip to visit extended family in Nami ( an aunt and two cousins , both older than Hinoka ((the oldest between the three of us)) and both married and expected to have babies in the near future ). " A beautiful sunset " is the book about the events in the timeline it sets the invasion and subsequent fall of Uzushio in about 5 or so months.

During the journey he slinks away in the night to borrow a few clothes and leaves some change for the trouble. The sets were from a priest , a woman in the red-light district and one from a burly man. He'd also gone and transformed for the first time into a beautiful young man in his mid-twenties and bought some rolls of azzure fabbric for a personalised kimono. Then he returns home and sleeps , if he's a little sleepy the morning after than it's none of anybody else's business.

As he went to retrive his hidden clothes he thought about how to appear on his little " escapade " the day after . Maybe it would be a few hours after , since he was pretty sure that he had gone outside near midnight . ( Ame was always focused more on the timing of things and the details rather then the big picture . Sometimes this fact would lead to troubles with her work . ) He opened the box he had stashed under the flooring . It was a box that had a normal rectangular design and was about the size of his two hands , it was dark brown and he had bought it at an inn that they'd stopped at during the journey with the spare pocket money his parents had given him .

It was sad that his parents that were supposed to give them love were giving them money ( like that'd fix anything ) instead . It was a truth in the Naruto verse that the standards for parenting were so low they pratically weren't even an obstacle in the road . ( Like , seriusly don't know how to share love and prioritize their work lives and distinguish between what is really important and on what's not . ) (( Cultish village-related propaganda had completely invaded their brains ))

Moving on , the dress he chose was an unfinished kimono to wear . All this talk about the ill-fitting parenting happening in this World , it had made an idea jump in the forefront of his head ( for the form he was going to wear ). Just the thougth of being able to do somthing like this made him giddy and filled him with happiness : the power at the tips of his fingers , if he could get away with this then it would just be a matter of keeping the ball rolling long enough and then he could give it the single last push to anhilate the rest of the problems that could eventually arise . Man , it seemed like he was in the mood to make monologues , right ?

Anyway back to the topic at hand : the kimono . It wasn't missing any important parts , like big pieces or anyting like that . It could just use some work , because it was just a little too big on the shoulders of this person he was going to wear ........ He just thought that . He really had thought that . He couldn't belive himself , just like that all his plans and the good mood elicited by the thought of power had evaporated in an instant because he ahd thought about shape-shifting as ' wearing a person ' , like what Orochimaru did . He was disgusted with himself . Maybe he the reincarnation thing was finally getting to his head .

He shook his head violently and completely steered his depressed mood on nicer things : no Orochimaru in there . He made a quick analysis of the problems the kimono was suffering from and then made quick work of it . He left the leftovers of fabbric in the box . Kuro stepped out of the house in the middle of the night with an air of nonchalance ( like a 10 year old had any business being outside in the middle of the night ) . He could only see at a palm's length from his nose , in reality he could see even less than that . Perfect . Pitch-blackness and the sky was cloudy so the moon was partially covered by them and the darkness was just becoming darker than ever . It was so late that he could see the sky in the horizon becoming ligther so it was maybe five or six in the morning . He put his head in his hands and contained a scream of frustration to the world . He had been defeated in his first battle against himself by the thought of Orochimaru .

It wasn't like he didn't think he was wrong all the time , and just frankly speaking his morality wasn't on such a lower level than the rest of his world but he drew the line at experimenting with children . There was also the question of Danzo to consider because in the anime is shown that Danzo and the mad scientist were in cahoots but it seemed like Danzo was just using him and in most other cases there could be a case in favor of him because it was on the direct orders of his superior ( the testing done on prisoners of war , done on behest of the Hokage Sarutobi ) and for his other experiments it was shown he didn't do anything big appart the experimentation on himself to become immortal , but for them it could be argued that since it was himself he was experimenting on he knew the risks and agreed to treatment and that meant that he consented to the treatment . So in the end it was just a question of how much Danzo was involved in the experiments on the children the he used to replicate Mokuton and if he belived that his actions were sanctioned by the Hokage and if not if Danzo was involved in that too. It was just down on how much of the question could be retraced to something Danzo was responsible for . ( side note would Kuro say that he despided Danzo who as a sixty-year old should know better than to judge people because his master or ' sensei ' told him they were evil and not try to resolve an issue that wouldn't even be there in the first place if he himself didn't create it ? Like he should have some mesure of sense and mental capability left in him to know that people aren't inheritly evil , but no keep the toxic thoughts coming because he couln't just let them lie in a corner of his brain . His village propaganda had infested every crevice in his rotting brain and had just taken over. The Uchiha had to be the villains , the orphans could be used because nobody would mind them gone so at least they could be useful to Konoha in the way bodies donated to science are and the ones that had some sort of potential were used in an even worse manner than them because they at least got to know the sweet release of death and died in a matter of minutes/hours but the ones in ROOT were used like wet paper towels and discarted with even less consideration. ) That guy had probably encouraged the rumors that led to Sakumo's death . He wans't sad that Minato and Kushina died : he got to use their deaths in a smear campaing against the Uchiha and last but no least he was responsible for the fact that most definatly the Konoha nin that were dead because of the war were dead because he wanted the war to continue and Kuro personally belived that since ROOT is an organization with no official records then they were ordered to pose as enemy nin to fuel Danzo's bloodlust. War-mongering could not be cited , because at the very least he woul've been honest to Hiruzen about not dismantling his secret organization.

He prepares for his visit to Uzushio. The day after he looses his family into the crowd and ducks into a dark alley , transforming into the same young man but he wears a different outfits from the last time he transformed , he starts searching for a boat to bring him to the island.

When he finds one its on to meet the Uzumaki.

******** POV CHANGE *******

Akihiko had been working as a fisherman since he was fifteen years old and had encountered different types of people during this times , some looking to scam him out of his belonging , some ninjas such as the Uzumakis and all people in between . The last group mentioned had taught him how to surpass the whirlpools around their island , he felt truly honored by this fact so people had often approchead him to reach the moving island . A day he'd say one or two people did that , so when a tall youth with short black hair and purple eyes asked him about it he didn't think too much about it.

" Sorry to bother you kind sir , but could you please tell me where could I find a boat that leads to Uzushio? "

" Yes well , you lucked out I'm the one you're searching for and the fare is 10 ryos to and from "

" Is there anything else to know ? "

" Yes , the journey should start in near the mornig or after lunch and I ferry you back no more late in the day than 10 pm. "

" Is there a specific reason for this time schedule ? "

" Not really , but its when I usually wake up. "

" Sorry for probing , here 's the money. "

" I'll take you there . Get on the boat ."

Silence ensued , the weather was nice and the water didn't seem to be moving too much compared to the other days. The fisherman's thoughts wandered to his recently married daughter Kana to a merchant a few villages away and how she looked content with her new life , away from the sea .

Something had rocked the boat. Violently.

He shouldn't had let his thoughts wander when they were so close to the whirlpools .

" Hold on to something , turbolencens ahead. "

The waves in proximity of the whirlpools were violent and choppy , it seemed as though they were trying to slap the boat off course and turn them upsidown. Akihiko had seen these kind of waves twice in his life ; the only thing worse than them were actual storm waves ( with the right conditions they could reach as high as the Uzukage's tower and once he'd heard that they had reached the roof and ahd taken a part of it ! )

The fisherman looked at the monk on his boat to reassure himself the youth hadn't taken a dive in the waters and felt relief .

Taking a stabilazing breath he changed the grip on his oars , to try and row them out of this impossible situation : the whirlpools were all around them . The old man steered the boat to the left and then took a sharp turn to the right . After a while of all this turning around the boat finally left the perilous waters into a much calmer sections of the sea around Uzushio.

" Now everything is all right son , only smooth sailing after this ."

Not a moment too soon , a few seconds after they had passed the worst , then they were seeing the colorful bright towers of Uzushio on the horizon ( now there were only left a couple of minutes to their arrival ).

The monk sat on the pier and Akihiko felt confused , apart the few minutes in the whirlpool section of the sea they hadn't encounterd any problems. The youth stared reciting a truly strange thing : a low murmuring ensued and a couple of people at the pier stared at him , trying to figure out what he was doing . After getting nervous and starting squirming for all the attention his customer was receiving , he didn't want the ninja to be called because they were acting suspicious he didn't want to be detained for upsetting the pubblic peace.

"Lad , if you could hurry up and finish whatever you're doing right now . It seems that you are scaring the people around here ."

Abruptly the young priest got up and started walking in the direction of the center of the moving island , this left the fisherman and the crowd that had formed in a shocked silence for the things they just heard , many were in disbelief a situation like this had even happened in the first place .

Chapter Text

Kuro placed himself in the middle of the busiest street of the markert next to a stand that seemed to sell some kind of jewerly . He took a steadying breath to begin in his next endeavour : sharing his believes !

" Thank you brothers and sisters for giving me a part of your time in this unduatably busy day . I'm here today to talk to you about a new religion that has been spreading in the Elemental nations : Christianity ."

A small crowd had gathered around him , curios of this new faith . Some people had bright-red hair ( Uzumakis , for sure ) while others had some really cool pieces of jewelry that ranged from nose piercings to whatever some guy had on his head , others had the strangest hair color. But what he was looking for were people with headbands on , he needed to step up his game .

"God created us in His immage . Our story begins with the first humans on Earth . They lived in the Garden of Eden it was a beautiful paradise on Earth . All the different kinds of plants and animals lived there in armony with each other and the weather was always beautiful . They were called Adam and Eve . Although Adam was created first he asked God to have some company , realizing how lonely Adam was God created Eve from an equal part of him . Our Lord told them they could live in Eden so long as they didin't eat from a very specific tree . "

The crowd had doubled in size , they could see that something was coming soon : trouble was coming . The fact that he said that Eve was created as an equal to Adam was shocking enough for some entitled civilian to go running off to fetch a ninja . The rest of the crowd had stayed , not bothered too much about this fact.

He kept going on to the fated " Fist Sin " , describing in much detail the corruption the Devil had poisoned Eve with . Some of the people in the crowd had long since left , but most of them had stayed enjoying the story . ( No doubt being miffed about the fact it was portrayed as Eve's fault )

In the meantime some ninjas had finally arrived on the scene . They weren't doing nothing more than listening to this so-called " young exalted monk ". So wrapping up Kuro delivered the bait .

" I'm sure that some of you have questions for me , about all you heard today , so I'm setting aside some time to answer them . Anyone with even the smallest question , please feel free to ask them. "

One of the ninjas in the crowd stepped foward , it was a kunoichi with purple-ish hair and a lot of piercings on .

" Yes ? "

" With your story you're impliyng that humans aren't perfect . The Sage of the Six Paths was a well-known practitioner of Ninshu as well as a perfect person because he was an adovcate for peace . He never used is power to make war and only stepped in when the conflict had gotten out of hand. So your story , your faith is wrong in saying that perfect people don't exist . Harogomo wasn't just a legend as most people seem to think. "

"The Sage of the Six Paths was indeed a real person like you and me , but you are wrong to call him ' perfect ' . I'm sure you know about the legend that says that he created the Tailed Beasts . If so then why would they attack humanity ? They should've been created with the task of helping them . It is an undeniable fact that the Tailed Beasts have killed hundreds or even hundreds of thousands of people since they first started roaming the Earth , so if Hagoromo had created them then he made a mistake : therefore he isn't perfect "

The crowd was flabbergasted ; they hadn't heard such things ,they hadn't even dared to think that he'd just said this things. They were watching him with a mixture of awe and horror. The kunoichi had a gaping mouth and the other ninjas in the crowd weren't much better.

Kuro internally smirked : goal one accomplished. Phase two of the plan had officially started .

" Well , since I see there aren't many questions left to answer then I'll take my leave . Have a nice day . "

He sprinted in the direction of the pier . The ninjas present snapped back to life and started chasing him , suspicious of him . He let them catch him not long after . They escorted him to the Administration tower , where his goal was located : the Uzukage.

Pov change

Ayako's day had been going perfectly well untill this wannabe preacher had starterd causing a scene planting himself in the middle of the busiest street in the market babbling about his religion . The problem was that since the start of the war spirts had been ( understadably ) low so they had been tasked to patrol the streets and arrest anyone that caused a minumun of trouble . So when she had been allerted by a citazien that there was a monk of some kind just making sermons out in the streets she had to check on him . However , it becam pretty clear that that man had been upset about this monk just because he had said women were equal to man that she had reprimanded him for distracting her from her job and sent him on his merry way .

For someone of the washi clan , she had always been more interested in all the history archieves in the library than being a ninja . So when the times she could show off all her knowledge had been few and far between . So when he said he'd take any question they had , she simply had to pose one she was sure he wouldn't have the answer to she did . To her surprise ( and horror ) he had answered in the most correct manner a civilian could : by pointing out a very famous legend about The Sage and using that as a way to point out that he had in fact made a mistake and since ( by definition ) you wern't perfect if you made a mistake and coming to the correct conlusion : the Sage wasn't perfect.

This ninteen/twenty-something had completely turned their perseption of the most famous person to ever walk the Earth in a manner that was undisputable without admitting to some pretty classified stuff with just three of four phrases . She was astondished to say the least .

When he had sprinted away from the rest of the crowd she became suspicious of him . Why would he do that ? Did he really belive in his faith so much that he'd risk saying something like that ? Did he have ulterior motives behind this improntu debate ?

Well , it seemed as though her break had finally ended . She had to question this man now .

Chasing a civilian should not be this difficult. Ayako was beginning to think that this particular preacher wasn't all that peaceful like she'd first thought, maybe there was something worth digging for. Another ninja had started following them after she signaled for it. Together they tried to cut him off but that almost backfired by actually rerouting him to the archive, at the last moment he swerved in the wrong direction. Thanking the Sage there.

This chase had lasted for three more minutes that it should have taken which made her theory of him being an enemy nin all the more belivable. Sharing a couple of hand signals to , his name was Susuki something? A graduate from the Academy a couple of years younger than her. He answered with an uncoordinated mess of out of order which she really to correct but she used a simpler set of hand signals and he seemed relived, answered with a simple affirmation which seemed like the minimum.

She then jumped on the roof to immidiatly hurl herself on the ground to stop the fake preacher. Since he crashes into her sending them tumbling on the street for a good fourty meters , so they both eat dirt. Violently. Nothing was going right today, was it?

Pushing the probable culprit to the ground, sending his stuff flying in the distance. Her partner was already picking it up.

"So want to tell me why you ran after just leaving a sermon, priest?"

"Because my ride to the mainland is going to go without me and I've alredy paid the return fee."

"Oh, really? Strange it doesn't seem to be 10pm yet, I've only just had luch myself. Time must have really gone in the blink of an eye if what you're saying is true, don't you think?"

"I'm sorry but it might be best if we take him to speak with someone else. This scroll is preoccupating in nature."

Probably her younger co-worker interrupted the banter. As he did, turning the scroll to show the seal. It was a seal that had landed on Ayaka's superior's desk Konoha's.

"Well, now you will have a reason to not catch your ride back."

Chapter 4: A battle!!!!!

Chapter Text

Kuro carefully planned his move, some of his fatehr's collegues had talked about how some Leaf ninja were offering their services without the help of the village and he'd thought about Danzo's ROOT immediatly ( or at the very least those ninjas were traitors to the Leaf and could be taken out without much repercussion ) and got to work. He'd used transformation magic to disguise himself and asked around town if someone could point him towards the ninjas in the city, almost everyone said to ask the barkeeper and that's what he'd done. After a few pointed questions he'd been told to go to the town's brothel for more informations.

Kuro wrinkled his nose at the pathetic sight men trowing everything they had away for a few moments of power, truly they couldn't lower.

"Hello, how may I help you, dear costumer?" Said a prostitute.

"I'm looking for the Madam of this place, could you tell me the way to her office?"

"Oh you wanna meet her? She's boring, she's old y'know? LIke, I'm pretty sure that she's over 35!"

"Yes I know."

"Oh, you're one of those that are into older women? Well, her office is the one that's in front of the pond near the back of the building."

"Thank you, maybe I'll come again."

Hiding a shrudder at the way she flashed him her boobs he swore to never come near this brothel again. The way to the Madam's office was scenic to look at and he admits that he got distracted looking at the peaceful pond, he's almost able to forget about the noise since it seems so far away. A strange feeling embraced him almost like a hug, cradling him to sleep. Snapping himself out of the genjustu he can see that the fishes in the pond are dead and judging by the awful smell they'd been for some time now. Those ninjas had done something to this place, maybe they betrayed the Madam. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst he walked the last steps to the shogi door and slid it open.

The first thought after entering the room was that the ninjas assigned to this mission was lowering the standard for everyone in their graduating year. Nice seeing that people like that existed in every universe he guessed, nothing more annoying than this. Another shogi door opened to the side of the room, where an older women strolled out of. She was walking really slowly with her shoulders hunced over and had a slight wobble to her steps. He wasn't fooled in the slightest, his senses told him that this woman was not to be understimated and also treating your informants with less than full respect was just a bad move.

"Hello, are you here to buy out a contract for one of my girls?"

"No, I have no interest in the girls you're offering. But I'm here because I heard a rumor that I could find the answers to all my questions 'round here."

"I could answer you, for a price. Three thousand ryo and I don't trade in ninja affairs."

"I don't need informations on ninjas's movements, what I need is why a Konoha nin is so far away from home."

He handn't even finished the phrase when a shurinken was thrown at his head. Action, like he wanted. His smile just got sharper. As he dodged it he quickly brougth his hands together and cast Ice Floor. Nobody ever expects it, imagine the floor just going out under you, turning from solid to - not liquid but slippery - always gave people a pause it was the best opening move. The only con he could think of was that it my not work with a big enough group or an opponent who favored higher ground. A circle of spears erupted from the frozen ground and the enemy nin was down for the count. A cloud of smoke came out of the body, as her body changed back to his original form, his hitai-ate on his forehead. Displaying the famous leaf symbol proudly with no fear and no subterfuge tactics that he thought ninjas are famous for. Actually what had a ninja from Konoha been doing this far into Water Country? Some good 'ld fashioned spying? Some infiltrating? All those options could make sense but he'd been overeger to test his powers in this reality and had just disregarded everything else. Not a sign.

"Should I have interrogated him?"

As the chill air in the room slowly disappeard, evening out the warmth of the office. Turning his thoughts back on the body in the room he knew he needed to hide it, an idea popped into his head slowly he spread his ice to cover the body. He took the headband, maybe he'd use it later but such an item didn't deserve to be broken out of need to cover up his crimes. Then he did something that he'd bring with him the rest of his life: shattered the ice statue in the middle of the icy spears he'd created. The water was getting his feet wet. Opening the shogi door on the left side he found a bunch of what looked like account books. As he leafed through each he found some money that didn't add up, three thousand more each time. So the fee that the ninja was the real one, it made sense to not lie about such a minor detail when he'd need to lie about all other things he'd have to say about his life. Kuro supposed that since the account book was from six years back and if he presumed that this operations had continued in a steady rhythm since near the beginnig of her operations (the near two decades) then he'd have around sixty-four thousand eight hundred ryo.

Buried in the yard? No too obvious a place, this is a world where ninja rule openly without fear.

Maybe under the floorboards? Again it'd be too obvious for a place like this.

The beams under the ceiling? He'd have to try searching there.

Closing the scattered books he thougth of a plan to get out of the sticky situation he found himself in. He'd eventually have to get out of the place, but that wasn't that much of a problem as he'd had entered the premises with a disguise on and hadn't caused too much a racket to preoccupy the residents and the guests of the establishment. Since ninjas were a big part of the world when they entered the room afterwards they'd know to stay silent and cover it up. He figured they didn't want too much attention if it really was a ninja who did all that. Not that they'd be wrong.

He didn't really need the money, so if he left them it wouldn't cause any significant changes for him but his sisters migth eventually need some money if they'd ever wanted to escape from the family. He couldn't affort to cover their living expanses if they did run away. Mind made up he started searching the room for the money, making every surface even messier than when he'd arrived. Eventually he found a money bag under the floorboards, it contained twenty-one thousand six hundred ryo. Good enough he supposed.

Turning his back he walked out of the window and left the premises.

POV CHANGE

Kamie looked up from where she was entertainig a guest and directed her gaze to the madam's office room. That strange half-naked man had entered a while ago now, discussions for a contract shouldn't take so long. Quickly she excused herself with the excuse that the jar of wine was almost finisehd and went to listen in to the madam's place of work. When she heard no sounds coming out of it she gestured a guard to go take a look. When she returned to the regular's table and stared chatting again with him, the guard she'd called made wild gestures with his hands. As wierded out as she felt, her client was beginning to get impatient so she escorted him upstairs where there were doors. The pay difference would come out of his paycheck, she absoulutely wouldn't be the one covering it. After the client had left the establishment she marched to him.

"What were you thinking? The client was just about to walk out, I had to appease him! The difference will come out of yout paycheck."

"Okay, whatever you want Kamie, but you need to see this immidiatly."

He then pointed to the madam's workpalce, It looked like a tornaedo had hit. She felt her heart drop, that man had been a ninja. He'd killed her madam, thinking fast she said

"Now the only thing to tell all the girls and the clients is that the madam has passed away in the night and that I'll be assuming her role, effective immidiatly. There will be no words about the man that entered here at the start of the evening. Is this clear?"

"Okay."

Notes:

SO as you can surely see I've updated after a really long time, well the ao3 author curse striked and I nearly failed last school year by a bit and I found out that some of the essays I had written were "lost" by my teacher but she hadn't told anyone and just gave me a failing grade... That happened. And then Uni kicked my ass this year.
