Chapter Text
Alexender was having pretty shitty day. Alright, to be honest, duel with Lee was great. For like two minutes, then Washington appered. From this moment everything went downhill.
Argument with Washington definitely wasn't nicest thing that had happend to him. And being send away... was no fun to say gently.
Oh, if it was only it.
But no.
Alex was walking away from General' tent, anger and sadness, mixed in some explosive mixture boiling inside of him. How could Washington possibly do this to him. He wanted to fight, was ready for this, ready to die no matter what Washington was saying. They needed him and he was ready to lead. But of course he chose Lee instead and this moron of course fucked up.
And now hes's the one paying the price? Not fair.
Focusing on his anger, Alex was actually trying to isolate himself from the part of of the argument he really didn't want to unpack. He did not saw General as a father figure, and it did not hurt being dumped by him. It was just all unfair and he was mad because of that. That's it, nothing more there.
Somehow it got worse.
Suddenly, completely out of blue, all the soldiers and all the tents disappeared. Everything in front of him went black.
Was it death?
Alex certainly didn't remember dying.
What the hell was happening then?
Did someone knock him out? Did he pass out? He couldn't recall felling any of this things, but God knows.
Then, after over a minute of darkness, light flickered in front of his eyes.
He could see again.
Alexander blinked rapidly as he was slowly coming back to his senses. He was in some very white room, sitting on something soft. Alex rised up, looking around the room.
Then he noticed that he's not alone in the room. First his attention was drawn to familiar faces, and he couldn't help but smile, very confused but happy to see them.
Laurens, Lafayette and Mulligan were thera. They all noticed each other in seemingly same moment, jumping into brotherly hug.
"Alex!"
"John!"
"John!"
"Lafayette!"
"Alex!"
"Hercules!"
When they let each other go, Alex looked at their faces. They seemed as confused as him.
"Alexander!" Alex immediately turned around hearing familiar, femine voices calling him from behind in harmony.
"Eliza! Angelica!" he cried, hugging his sister in law and kissing wife, who pulled him into the long, long hug.
"You have no idea how much I'm happy to see you, love" Eliza whispered into his ear and he couldn't help but smile.
"It's been a while" he admitted, while uncomfortable feeling of guilt started digging a massive hole in his stomach. "Although the circumstaces are pretty... weird" he added.
He turned around again, that well are they were standing in the circle, looking at each other confused. Alex noticed two more faces his eyes must've missed before: Burr, who was standing behind Laurens with his eyebrows frowned, looking around the room and Washington, looking exactly at him. For a moment they looks crossed, but Alex immediately cut eye contact.
"So" Alex started breaking the silence "has anyone any idea what the hell is happening here?" People looked at each others faces but nobody say anything.
Surprisingly Burr was the one to finally answer: "I don't know, but maybe they do" he said and pointed at the opposite end of the white room.
Alex looked at the direction. His eyes saw the silhouettes of five people he had never seen in his life.
Two of them were standing. Tall, dark-skinned man was looking down at the other three, while even taller (way to tall if you asked Alexander), pale women was looking directly at Alex and the rest. There was something deeply disturbing about her face that he couldn't exactly explain. She just didn't feel human, her eyes being weirdly hollow and facial features similar to a bird.
Other three people were sitting on the floor. Man with short, brown help was visibly sobbing while hugging black haired women and tanned man with curly hair and glasses at the same time. It wasn't a gentle hug like with him and the squad or even with Eliza. It was desperate hug, hilding someone ss if they could fade away forever in any given moment.
This people looked weird. All three man were wearing simple, knee lenght dresses, kinda reminding Alexannder of nightgowns. The tall women was wearing something similar but longer, she also had a red cape and helmet with red... Alex wasn't actually sure what it was called but seemed pretty impractical.
Black haired women was wearing blue, loose dress with some fancy gold accesories added to it.
What the hell was wrong with these people?
* * *
Odysseus was having pretty horrible day. Pissing of goddamn god of the ocean and then him drowing most of Odysseus' people and attempting to drown him? Definitely wouldn't call it a day.
Yet somehow it got better, in the weirdest way possible.
He doesn't remember passing out.
He just in one moment was on his ship, speeding across the sea with all the force of the wind freed from the bag and in second one he's sitting on the floor in some white room with his second in command, his ex-mentor, love of his life and his dead best friend.
Odysseus had never considered himself particularly weak or emotional, but gods, the moment the saw Penelope and Polites, everything had fallen at him like a rock and he completely broke down.
Till this moment he didn't fully realize how much he missed his love and how much Polites' death had actually affect him.
He didn't know where he was, but he was home.
He was now just hugging them both, desperately holding as of they could fade away in any givem moment. Maybe they could? Maybe it was just another godly game? Some another divene power messing woth him because why not?
His insides rolled at this thought.
This had to be real, no being would be that cruel.
But then again, what the gods was going on?
And then the voice happend.
Voice was sharp but childlish, filling the whole room, impossible to tell from which direction was it coming from.
"Hey, hey everybody, it's gonna be soooo fun" it said.
In the second they heard it, he, Penelope and Polites stood up as fast as they could, looking around for an owner of the voice.
They didn't find them, but insted noticed group of weirdly dressed people standing at the opposite end of the room, looking as confused as them.
"So you're probably wondering why are you here, aren't you?" the voice continued.
"Pretty much yes" the shortest guy from the pther side responded unsurely.
"Okay so allow me to introduce myself. I'm a watcher but you can just call me W. So I was bored so I decided to cause some chaos by taking two stories out of their times aaaand make them react to their pasts, presents and future in the form of musicals! Ta-dah!" the voice spilled all it on one breath.
People looked at eachother, many "what"s being said.
"Wouldn't that mess with fates?" Athena said in her calmest, coldest tone.
"Fates? Oh I love this girlies, they have always the beeeeest tea. Don't worry the owl lady, I have their permission to do that! You will have your memory erased after this anyway so it's not like it will change anything!" the voice said in way to cheerful for Odysseus' liking.
He couldn't help but feel sick. He just reunited with the love of his life that he hadn't seen for over a decade and a friend whose blood and isides splashing onto Odysseus' face is still fresh feeling in his memory and he won't be able to remember any of that. Another immortal playing with him just beacuse they can? He was really starting to hate gods.
They heard a loud snap and L-shaped couch magically appeared in the middle of the room.
"Sit down, please!"
Due to lack of alternative, everyone gathered took seats on the couch..
Odysseus and all people known to him took one segment of it - with him in the middle, Polites and Penelope sitting right next to him, Eurylochus sitting next to Polites and Athena taking place at the end, next to Penelope.
The other grop took second segment - short was the one sitting in the middle, right next to him having on one side black haired women and on the other freckled men with brown, flussy hair. Older man sat next to freckled one, while second women sat next to the balck haired one. Two men, one with messy curly hair in a bun and the other with a bandana sat on the floor, right in front of the short and the freckled ones. The last mean, shorter guy woth black skin sat right in the corner of the couch.
Both grups were observing eachother but nomody said anything.
"Come one guyssss! Introduce yourself!" the voice encouraged them.
"My name is Alexander Hamilton" short men started.
"I'm John Laurens" freckled one.
"Just call me Lafayette" bun guy.
"Hercules Mulligan."
"George Washington. "
"Aaron Burr."
"I'm Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, nice to meet you."
"Angelica Schuyler."
So now it was their turn. Odysseus couldn't help but wince involuntarily. He literally got in the shittone of troubles because of revealing his name.
"I'm Penelope" his wife, incredible as always, started.
"My name is Polites."
"Eurylochus."
"Athena."
"I'm Odysseus" he said with resigning tone.
"Awesome!" the voice seemed satisfied.
Another snap. On the wall appered big black... something.
"This is TV. We're gonna play musicals on it! By the way we're gonna interweave songs, beacuse it's funnier this way. Is everyone ready?"
Clearly nobody was ready but the voice didn't seem to care.
"Bravissimo! Let's get this party started!"
