"You'll go right?"
With a sigh, Taehyun turned around and faced his best friend who gave him a pleading look, his bunny lips in a pout as his eyes blinked rapidly in an animated way trying his best to convince Taehyun to come with him.
Taehyun should be laughing at how stupid Soobin looks yet here he is frozen in place, staring at his best friend with pure adoration evident in his eyes. Even when he looks dumb like this, Taehyun still finds him cute and endearing and his heart can't help but ache at the thought that Soobin can never reciprocate the feelings that Taehyun has for him.
Kinda cliche isn't it? The whole ordeal of falling in love with your best friend and the other not loving you back.
It was inevitable. Taehyun knew that he was bound to fall in love with his best friend.
You see, Choi Soobin is simply a dream.
For Taehyun, Soobin is the embodiment of perfection, a rare combination of charm, kindness, and charisma that seemed effortlessly woven into every fiber of his being. Soobin possesses a striking handsomeness that seemed to transcend mere physical appearance, captivating all who beheld him with an undeniable magnetism. Standing tall with a confident posture, his presence commanded attention effortlessly, drawing gazes with an allure that was impossible to ignore. With a smile that could brighten even the darkest of days, Soobin's laughter echoed like music, lifting the spirits of all those fortunate enough to hear it. "Fine, I'll go." Taehyun huffed, crossing his arms as he stared at the taller guy with a defeated look.
Soobin beamed, pumping his fist in the air when he heard what Taehyun said. Soobin’s smile however was enough for Taehyun’s frown to turn upside down as he admired Soobin’s cute gesture.
Fucking whipped. He thought to himself as he continued to stare at Soobin while the latter grabbed his phone totally oblivious to Taehyun's stares.
"Now stop doing that with your face, you look stupid hyung" Taehyun added, laughing the moment that he saw Soobin roll his eyes at him.
"Whatever tyunie. Junie says that he finds me cute when i do this!" Soobin said with a pout on his face.
Taehyun’s smile dropped. There it is. Junie or also known as Yeonjun , the guy who captured his best friend's heart. The one who made Soobin fall in love with just a span of a few months and Taehyun can't help but feel bitter that despite knowing Soobin the longest, 10 years at that, Soobin still didn't see him the way that he sees Soobin.
Now don’t accuse Taehyun of being a coward or if he didn't even try to confess because he did, he tried.
Taehyun tried to confess countless times yet the timing is always off. Something always comes up resulting in Taehyun postponing his confession till one day when Taehyun went to Soobin’s apartment to hang out, Soobin suddenly dropped the news that he and Yeonjun are dating.
"Yeah yeah whatever. Now go away hyung. I have to get ready for my shift” Taehyun gently pushed Soobin towards the door while the other had his hands held up in a surrendering way.
"Alright. I will see you tomorrow tyunie!" Soobin smiled "Tyunie?" Taehyun raised his eyebrow.
"Thank you...You know that i love you right? You being there for me and agreeing to meet Yeonjun means a lot to me. Because i care for you tyunie and i care for him too" Soobin smiled. Taehyun wasn't able to say anything and just smiled at Soobin so Soobin took this as a cue to leave. He gently ruffled Taehyun's hair earning a groan from the younger. Soobin waved a bit then took off towards the elevator.
Well shit. Taehyun sighed knowing how much of pain in the ass this dinner will be, with him trying to endure hours of seeing Soobin be clingy to Yeonjun and having to pretend that he doesn’t care one bit. He groaned thinking of the torture that awaits him. Taehyun hopes that he’ll get through the dinner and not have to excuse midway just cause his stupid heart can't take seeing his best friend and his lover all lovey dovey together.

"Gyu? Why'd you stop walking?"
Ignoring yeonjun's voice, Beomgyu released a heavy sigh feeling dejected when he saw the message of the bar's owner.
'We're sorry Mr. Choi but this band has more followers than you which is why we have to cancel your performance tomorrow night. We do promise to make it up to you by scheduling you some other time. You do know that you're one of my favorite soloist. I'm really sorry beomgyu. I hope you understand that all we want is what's best for our bar. Come here whenever you want, drinks on me okay?"
Beomgyu gave out another sigh before he licked his lips that had gone dry and faced Yeonjun whose attention's already on his. Yeonjun saw the younger's state so he immediately wrapped his arms around beomgyu who did the same to him.
"This shit's tiring hyung. Why do they always prefer popularity over talent? They canceled on me again for some popular boy band or some shit" Beomgyu frowned. Yeonjun chuckled a bit before caressing the younger's hair.
"You do know that you don't need their money right? I can easily give that to you gyu. Heck, I can also give you a position in my company if you want-"
Beomgyu detached himself from Yeonjun "Hyung we talked about this. Corporate life isn't for me and you know that. It isn't about money anymore. It's about..." Beomgyu bit his lips "My dream and passion. I can't give up on those, hyung"
"I know gyu bear and i'm proud of you for pursuing your dream. Just remember that i'm always here for you okay?" Yeonjun gave beomgyu a genuine smile to which the latter reciprocated.
"Now let's forget about that for a while. Hyung will treat you to a nice meal!" Yeonjun grinned as he practically bounced his way towards the restaurant. Beomgyu laughed and muttered 'cute' which the older one didn't hear.
"Binnie said they're near! Come on gyu!" Yeonjun giggled while beomgyu visibly grimaced at the nickname yeonjun gave "his" soobin.
"Now don't give me that face gyu." Yeonjun laughed while beomgyu rolled his eyes.
"Someday you'll just be as sappy as I am once you meet the love of your life" Yeonjun added, smiling as he thought of Soobin while Beomgyu's heart ached at the mere mention of love.
Because Beomgyu did .
He found someone worthy of his love, someone who makes love so easy, someone he was willing to take the risk for. Unfortunately that someone happens to be Beomgyu’s best friend of 7 years and the said best friend is standing right in front of him, hopelessly in love with someone who’s obviously not him.
"No time for that stupid shit hyung" Beomgyu muttered as he walked ahead of Yeonjun when he felt his eyes water, feeling his heart ache with all the thoughts in his head.
Stupid love, stupid feelings, stupid-
Ouch!
"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking. Let me just-"
"You're crying"
Oh.
He looked up and was met by the biggest eyes he has ever seen. He wasn’t sure why he was staring. Maybe it was the guys’ boba eyes that looked like it held galaxies in them, or maybe his pointed nose, his sharp jawline, his dimples on his right cheek that beomgyu has to refrain himself from poking it, down to his pinkish plump limps that admittedly made him gulp for a certain reason. Damn what a fine looking man! This man can really pass as a model or-
"Are you just gonna stare at me or are you gonna wipe the tears on your face? I'm sorry but I just met you and it's kinda rude to wipe your tears you know” The man said as he continued to stare at Beomgyu.
Beomgyu felt his cheeks and ears go red as he hastily wiped the tears off his face. The boy chuckled, amusement dangling in his eyes.
"Sorry i was just-"
"Binnie!"
Beomgyu was interrupted by a man who shouted behind him, Yeonjun. Both Beomgyu and Taehyun stopped staring at each other to glance at the couple who reunited and instantly hugged each other as if their life depended on it. Beomgyu sighed while Taehyun rolled his eyes.
"Oh how much i missed you my binnie!" Yeonjun cried, hugging his boyfriend, clinging to him like a koala does to his owner.
"Me too hyung, it felt like an eternity when it's just a week" Soobin fondly looked at yeonjun, stroking his hair as he gave his boyfriend a peck on the forehead.
Taehyun coughed which made the two look at him. Taehyun raised his eyebrow which made soobin laugh.
"Sorry tyunnie's a bit grumpy today he just got out of a 24 hour shift at the hospital. By the way, this is Taehyun, my best friend!" Soobin let go of yeonjun to which the latter resulted with a pout, soobin noticed so he wrapped his arm around Yeonjun's waist earning a smile from Yeonjun who then placed his head on top of Soobin's shoulder.
"Hi" Taehyun said, nodding his head to both Beomgyu and Yeonjun. Yeonjun grinned at him while Beomgyu gave him an awkward smile.
"Sorry, tyunnie's not much of a talker" Soobin whispered though Taehyun can clearly hear him so the latter rolled his eyes.
"Oh it's fine binnie and this is beomgyu bear, my bestest friend!"
Beomgyu flushed at the nickname yeonjun gave him, giving yeonjun his deadliest glare to which the the other responded with a laugh. Beomgyu's eyes softened the moment he heard yeonjun's laugh. Beomgyu was always like that, soft when it comes to yeonjun despite the other being such a tease.
'Beomgyu bear?' Taehyun thought, chuckling a bit at the silly nickname before realizing that he wasn't alone so he quickly composed himself and brought back his blank expression hoping no one saw him.
But beomgyu did. Taehyun's dimples appeared when he smiled like that which made Beomgyu unconsciously smile as well.
'Who would have thought? That angry looking cat can somehow be.... cute' Beomgyu thought as all of them proceeded to go inside the restaurant.

“Dinner was great. I hope the four of us can bond again soon.” Soobin said with a smile as the four of them walked towards the parking lot where both Soobin and Beomgyu’s cars were parked.
“I’m not sure about that. I rarely have free schedule since i barely get a break from the hospital and i-” “Fine, I’ll make time” Taehyun huffed in defeat, not being able to finish what he was about to say when he saw Soobin gave him a look that imitates a dog when it wants a cuddle from its owner.
Soobin grinned and side hugged taehyun while yeonjun laughed and told Taehyun that he looks cute to which the latter strongly disagreed and gave Yeonjun a side eye.
That was the moment that Beomgyu realized that he and Taehyun were on the same page. Just how pathetic were they to be so helplessly in love with the people that they can't have?
Beomgyu was lost in his thoughts that he didn’t realize Yeonjun telling both Soobin and Taehyun that he has nothing to do and is always free to meet up whenever they plan to.
With wide eyes, his head snapped towards yeonjun as he gave the other man his deadliest glare "HYUNG! But I am a busy person! I-”
“Oh would you look at that? Time flies so fast which means it’s time to go home” Yeonjun said, pretending to look at his non-existent watch which made beomgyu scoff. Soobin laughed while Taehyun smirked.
Beomgyu continued whining, going straight to his car with his arms crossed. Taehyun chuckled at how silly beomgyu looks before he started walking towards Soobin's car. However, he was stopped midway when a hand prevented him from doing so. He glanced at the hand and saw that it was Soobin who stopped him with Yeonjun clinging onto his side. Taehyun internally groaned at the sight.
“Hyung? What’s wrong?” Taehyun asked, eyebrows crinkled in confusion while Soobin bit his lips nervously.
“Can yeonjun ride with me? We kinda missed each other since it’s been a week and-”
“It’s fine hyung. You don’t have to explain” Taehyun said which made Soobin visibly relax while Yeonjun shot taehyun a grateful smile. “I'll get going now" Taehyun giving Soobin, Yeonjun and Beomgyu a nod.
Beomgyu heard what soobin said and he wouldn't lie. It did hurt a bit knowing that Yeonjun won't be going home with him. But he knows that he doesn't have the right to demand. He was only yeonjun's best friend after all.
Beomgyu was about to go inside his car and taehyun eventually started walking towards the exit of the parking lot, his mind is now filled with thoughts about whether he should book a car or take the bus going home when Yeonjun said something that made both beomgyu and taehyun stop what they were doing.
“Why don’t you two go home together? You can ride with beomgyu, taehyunie!”
Taehyun grimaced at the nickname while Beomgyu shot Yeonjun an ‘are you kidding me’ look.
“Junie’s right taehyun-ah. I still feel bad that i can’t take you home. I will feel better if Beomgyu takes you home instead" Soobin said with a pout which resulted in Taehyun instantly looking away because he knows that he won't be able to resist the tall man with dimples looking cute like this.
Taehyun sighed and looked at Beomgyu. The latter shrugs showing that he doesn’t mind.
“Fine”
“Good! It’s settled then. Take care you two!” Yeonjun grinned as he went towards Soobin’s car while both Beomgyu and Taehyun went inside Beomgyu’s car.
“Thank you for this beomgyu-ssi” Taehyun said as he silently wore his seat belt.
Beomgyu nodded his head “No worries Taehyun-ssi. So do you mind giving me your address?”
“Oh yeah. Just across the street. The building near Cafe MOA.”
Beomgyu suddenly bit his lip, shock evident on his face as he glanced at Taehyun. “No way! That’s where i live too. What number?”
Taehyun blinked as he looked at Beomgyu whose eyes never left the road. “Really? I live at 553, how about you?”
“Damn” Beomgyu laughed. “554. What are the damn odds?”
Taehyun chuckled a bit but didn’t say anything, deciding to look out the window while Beomgyu started to drive at a steady pace.
"So uh we never really got to introduce ourselves properly since Yeonjun is a whipped shit who won't stop talking about Soobin" Beomgyu grimaced while Taehyun laughed.
"Yeah it was kinda gross to see them act like they're the only ones in the room but I'm happy regardless. I'm happy for them" Taehyun said with a smile on his face.
'are you really?' Beomgyu wanted to ask but he remained silent.
"Yeah, me too i guess" Beomgyu muttered.
Taehyun cleared his throat "Hope you don't mind me asking but how old are you Beomgyu-ssi? Also, I heard from Soobin that you are currently unemployed? We're actually hiring and if you want I can help-"
"I'm 28 and no I'm not unemployed." Beomgyu gritted his teeth, obviously annoyed and sensitive with the topic that Taehyun chose to start which Taehyun caught on so he immediately regretted telling Beomgyu about it. "Well not entirely. I have a job that's not permanent but I love doing it. I plan on doing it for a while before i look for a stable job" Beomgyu added.
Taehyun nodded his head "You shouldn't be pressured about having a stable job. If you love what you're doing now then that's enough. You're still young anyways. Explore and enjoy for now beomgyu-ssi"
Somehow, those words have reached Beomgyu's heart which made him unconsciously smile. Taehyun's words were genuine and beomgyu is glad that Taehyun isn't one of those jerks who downgrades him just cause he doesn't have a regular job with a high salary.
"Thank you" Beomgyu muttered and he meant it. Taehyun didn't say anything that.
"I'm guessing you're a doctor?" Beomgyu asked trying to start up another conversation.
Taehyun nodded his head, his face visibly glowed as he explained what type of Doctor he was. Beomgyu didn't really understand all the things Taehyun said. It was too complex for him. All he remembered was how Taehyun told him that he was a neurosurgeon . Something about him being a doctor for the brain or something. Beomgyu wasn't really blessed with the intellectual genes so don't blame him.
Beomgyu chuckled a bit at how cute Taehyun looks. He must've loved being a doctor for him to be so excited talking about his career.
"Oh and I'm 27" Taehyun ended with a smile on his face.
So he was younger than him. Beomgyu thought.
"You're brain isn't enough that you have to study even more brains huh?" Taehyun laughed which is why Beomgyu chuckled along with him.
"Well we study more about the nervous system. We aren't limited to just the brain of a human but your joke's good so I'll let it pass" Taehyun chuckled while beomgyu did the same
Taehyun bit his lip, suddenly remembering his bad behavior during their first encounter "I'm sorry by the way for the way that I acted a while ago at the restaurant"
Beomgyu glanced at Taehyun for a while before his gaze went back on the road "It's fine taehyun-ssi. You just got out of a 24 hour shift! I'd be ten times more sensitive if that was me and i would probably glare at anyone who tries to talk to me if im being honest so apology taken"
Taehyun laughed, like fully laughed and Beomgyu can't help but stare at him.
"Somehow, I can picture you in that situation, resembling that of an angry bear"
"Not the best imagination though how about imagining me looking cute like a small teddy bear?"
"Nah I like the angry bear better" Taehyun snickered. Beomgyu playfully scowled at him which made Taehyun laugh.
Why was talking with Taehyun so comfortable? Even the silence that they shared after their conversation was comforting. He was surprised that it wasn't awkward seeing as they just met today and Taehyun saw him cry. Beomgyu was thankful as well because Taehyun chose not to bring that up.
Beomgyu looked ahead and realized that they still have roughly about an hour left till they reach their apartment.
"Do you mind if I play some music? We still have a long way ahead and i might fall asleep if we spend an hour with no music on"
Taehyun laughed at what beomgyu said "Sure go ahead. I'd like to go home in one piece thank you very much"
Beomgyu snickered before playing some music from his playlist. He hopes taehyun enjoys his taste in music because yeonjun clearly doesn't like his playlist.

Beomgyu simultaneously glanced at the road and at Taehyun just to check if he likes his music preference or not. He unconsciously bit his lip as he waited for the other's response towards his choice of music.
He saw Taehyun nodding his head a bit, swaying slightly to the music while he hums the song.
So Taehyun doesn't only like the song, he also knows the song. Even better for Beomgyu.
Beomgyu looked away and smiled to himself.
Taehyun likes and knows the song. This was the first time someone ever liked his choice of music and for once it felt different, a good different.

‘Beomgyu-ssi, hi it's Taehyun! Thank you for the ride home and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Have a good night!’
Now that was fast. Beomgyu just got home and wasn't even done changing his clothes when he received that message from Taehyun. So taehyun is that type of guy huh? With a smile, Beomgyu saved Taehyun's number and named it "Guy who has the same fate as me" while Taehyun named Beomgyu 'Beomgyu'
Beomgyu:
‘Oh hi Taehyun-ssi! You're welcome. You weren't a bother anyways. Seriously, we live next to each other Taehyun-ssi. Anyways, yeah have a good night!’
Taehyun on the other hand contemplated whether he should type in "See you around or not" He kept typing the words then erasing it only to type it back. With a sigh, he decided not to reply and left beomgyu on read. It's not like he'll meet the other anyways.
He was about to turn off his lamp and sleep when his phone buzzed, signaling that he received a message.
Beomgyu:
‘See you around Taehyun-ssi. I hope we can be friends too!’
Guy who has the same fate as me:
‘I'd like that. Let’s start with me calling you hyung and you dropping the formalities. See you around Beomgyu hyung.’
Taehyun turned off his lamp then laid down with a smile on his face. Maybe this beomgyu guy isn't bad after all.

It has been two weeks since Taehyun last talked to beomgyu and last saw yeonjun which taehyun is thankful for. Everything has been pretty hectic these days and he might just explode if he has to sit down and become a third wheel to soobin and yeonjun.
Today is different though. He's looking forward to ending his shift today since tomorrow is his day off which means he can finally rest.
That is until his phone rang with the caller id "Soobin hyung" in it.
"What the hell do you want this time hyung? I'm not in the mood please don't bother me" Taehyun snapped as he gently massaged his forehead.
He just got out of a neuroendoscopy which wasn't meant for him in the first place. Doctor Lee, the doctor assigned, had an emergency leave and he specifically requested Taehyun to do the brain surgery which meant Taehyun has to take the surgery whether he likes it or not.
Taehyun was exhausted and he wasn't gonna answer it if it wasn't for Soobin's text that said 'Emergency tyun! Please answer!' So Taehyun was left with no choice but to answer the call.
"Oh I'm sorry did i catch you on a bad timing tyunie? I'll just- I'll call you later" Soobin's voice sounded sad as it gradually became softer which made Taehyun guilty.
"Hyung, it's fine and I'm sorry I snapped at you. I just got out of a surgery" Taehyun sighed and soobin understands now since Taehyun has always expressed how surgeries worn him out. Soobin immediately feels bad.
"Aw tyunie, I'm sorry! I'll call you back later-"
"Hyung, it's fine. Just tell me what you need, I'm on break anyways" Taehyun said, not wanting to make Soobin sad if he neglects him.
"Are you sure?" Soobin sounded unsure which made Taehyun smile as he pictures how cute the other looks with a pout on his face.
"Yes hyung i am sure.”
"Okay well i was just gonna ask if you can accompany me later at the mall? I'm gonna buy flowers and some scented paper so that I can make junie a letter! It's our monthsary tomorrow and i wanted to make an effort so i think those are the best option that i have knowing that i absolutely suck at cooking and-"
Taehyun stopped listening as he momentarily froze on his seat. He felt it again, the familiar ache in his heart as he registers what Soobin told him. Flowers, letters, monthsary, effort..
He blinked as he felt hot tears threatening to spill from his eyes. Why can't it be him? Why can't Soobin do all those things for him? Taehyun questions himself again. Was it him? Is he hard to like? Is he hard to love? Why was he so miserable that of all people cupid can choose for him, destiny decided to make him fall for someone who can’t love him back and the worst part is, it was his best friend therefore he can’t just ignore Soobin and move on because way past his feelings they have a bond that no one else has because after all they are still each other’s best friend and Taehyun hated it. No, he doesn’t hate soobin, he hates himself. He can never blame Soobin for the pain that he continues to feel everyday because Soobin didn’t do anything.
It was Taehyun’s fault. It’s his fault because he fell for Soobin.
"So yeah if you are then I'll see you- Tyunie are you listening?"
Taehyun took a deep breath to calm himself and make sure that his voice didn't break or show any hint of sadness in it. "Yes hyung. I'll go with you"
"That's great! See you later tyunie! I'll treat you to your favorite ramen restaurant!"
"Can't wait " Taehyun said as he tried so hard to sound cheerful but he terribly failed at it.
"Alright then good luck on your shift tyunie! I'll fetch you later okay? See you!"
"See you, hyung" With a sigh, Taehyun ended the call and buried his face in his hands, allowing himself to be hurt as he silently cried all his pain away.

"Thank you for today Taehyunie!! I hope Junie will love my surprise" Soobin said with a frown. Taehyun sighed as he reached for the other who gladly wrapped his arms around the younger.
"He'll love it hyung. He loves anything you do anyways so there's no need to be nervous okay? I'm sure that he'll be all giddy and excited when he sees all the things that you prepared for him" Taehyun said as he slowly rubbed Soobin's back.
Soobin laughed, pulling away from Taehyun which made Taehyun frown a bit, sad that he can no longer feel Soobin's warmth.
"Well, I have to go now. I'll see you soon Taehyunie! Love you!"
Taehyun watched as Soobin walked towards his car with a smile on his face.
"I love you too" Taehyun whispered "i love you so much hyung" Taehyun whispered, this time with sadness evident in the tone of his voice as he watched soobin’s car pass him.
He hurriedly went up to his place just so he could lay down and cry himself to sleep instead of going to the nearest bar and drown his sadness with alcohol.
"Now what happened to you? You look like you died then got reincarnated only to die again"
Taehyun looked to his right and saw Beomgyu with his eyebrows raised at him. Taehyun sighed, not really in the mood to joke around with Beomgyu which is why he ignored him.
"Man, how broken were you that you ignored me too? Did soobin mention yeonjun again?" That made Taehyun freeze. Beomgyu… knows?
"I know about it Taehyun. It was very obvious. I guess soobin is just stupid because he doesn't see it. Judging by the way you look, it looks like Soobin did say something that made you feel hurt. Did he tell you that he loves yeonjun? Or.. shit did you confess?! Di he say no? Did he say that he can't love you back-"
That's when Taehyun lost it. He was moments away from opening his door which he wasn't able to do because his whole body was shaking as he felt tears stream down his face.
Taehyun can no longer hide it. His day has been hell and all he wants is to sleep it off but Beomgyu just has to be there and say all these things to him which made him broke down.
"Oh shit taehyun i'm so sorry"
Beomgyu instantly regretted all the things that he said upon seeing Taehyun break down. The younger one looked so broken that it made beomgyu sad. Beomgyu didn't mean to. He was also a bit annoyed today because Yeonjun made him help in his surprise for Soobin tomorrow which made him equally hurt and bitter.
Beomgyu bit his lips as he stared at taehyun. He didn't mean to hurt Taehyun, it wasn't intentional, he swears.
"Hey taehyun. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me" Beomgyu softly whispers as he slowly walks towards taehyun.
Taehyun wiped his tears away and looked elsewhere except beomgyu's way. He slowly nodded his head and slowly twisted the door knob.
Beomgyu wanted to say something but he figured that shutting up is the best way for now so he silently watched as taehyun went inside.
Damn what should he do. He hurt taehyun and now he feels bad.
Somehow, hurting Taehyun doesn't sit right with him. So he mentally notes not to say something mean and joke around with taehyun unless he and the latter are both on good terms.
He scrolled through his phone and dialed the number of his other friend, one that he believes can help him in his situation right now.
"What the fuck hyung? I'm in the middle of sleep-"
"Yes hi to you Kai-yah" Beomgyu chuckled as he plopped down on his couch.
"What do you need?" Kai sighed and Beomgyu heard sounds indicating that Kai had either stood up or sat up on his bed.
"So I was just wondering if I happened to upset you, what can I do to make it up to you?" Beomgyu bit the inside of his cheeks as he waited for Kai’s reply.
"What? Is this about yeonjun hyung? Is he mad at you again? Hyung what did you do this time-”
"No it's not.. not yeonjun. I just need your opinion since you’re a doctor right? I need your help on how to say sorry to a doctor”
The other line was silent right after beomgyu said that before he heard a laugh. That made beomgyu annoyed. He just wanted a serious answer and Kai clearly isn't helping him.
"Kai-yah don’t be such an asshole and just answer me!"
"I'm sorry hyung i just find it funny. I can't believe that you met someone else and now you upset him right away! Don't get me wrong I'm happy that you have moved on from Yeonjun-"
"What the fuck? No, I haven't moved on from Yeonjun! This is for a friend and i- fuck why am i even explaining to you?! Kai, I just need help. Will you help me or not?" Beomgyu said, obviously annoyed at his friend who had the audacity to laugh at him again.
"Chill hyung! Alright I'll help you"
"Finally!"
"But tell me his name first! I might know who he is or ohhhh I can just ask around when I go to work tomorrow! That is of course if you won’t reveal his name to me” Kai snickered and Beomgyu can already imagine the smirk on his face which made beomgyu close his eyes and bit his cheeks out of irritation.
"Kai you’re such a menace really"
Kai laughed and the night continued with Beomgyu rubbing his temple, thinking murder the next time that he sees Kai.
He hopes the minutes that he endured during his call with Kai is worth it because he doesn’t want to spend another day with Taehyun being upset with him. Seeing the younger cry and broken somehow makes Beomgyu uncomfortable and he plans to reconcile with the younger and maybe ask him out as friends.
He tossed and rolled in his bed yet sleep didn't come. He went out in his balcony, phone in his hand as he contemplates whether he should send Taehyun a message. Maybe Taehyun is still awake at this time? Maybe he can say sorry tonight. It bothers him that even in his sleep he can still picture Taehyun's broken eyes and it guilts him so he decided to try.
He took a deep breath then opened his phone, scrolling through his contacts till it landed on the younger's name. Hopefully, Taehyun's still awake because if he isn't then Beomgyu might not get any sleep.

Beomgyu sighed as he stared at his phone with a frown on his face, ears a bit red from embarrassment seeing as the other ignored him and left him on read. Taehyun is obviously ignoring him and he knows that he deserves it because he was mean to Taehyun.
“I deserve this. I was mean. Dammit gyu you’re such an asshole” Beomgyu sighed..
“You are”
Beomgyu blinked in surprise when he heard someone speak. The sound came from the other side so he looked to his right and saw Taehyun. Taehyun wore a hoodie on, both of his hands are inserted inside the pocket of his hoodie as he stared at Beomgyu with a blank expression on his face.
Cute. beomgyu thought as he continued to stare at taehyun who looks extra fluffy and cuddly tonight.
Shit what the hell is he saying? Cuddly? Fluffy?!
“Taehyun” Beomgyu finally breathed as he stared at the younger whose eyes never left his.
“Beomgyu.. hyung ”
And beomgyu swears his heart skipped a beat when he heard the younger call him hyung for the very first time.
