Work Text:
The commander took a deep breath, he was feeling a bit under the weather, he had been bothered for a bit as he knew he had to keep working hard to keep his shipgirls happy and going strong. He knew though he had to go in for a check up, at the clinic that day. However he didn’t know that the doctor working at that hour, was in fact one of his shipgirls.
As the Commander entered the clinic, the sterile scent of disinfectant filled the air. Fluorescent lights hummed softly overhead, casting a clinical glow across the room. The Commander hesitated for a moment, looking around at the neatly arranged medical equipment and the rows of white cabinets.
A voice called out from one of the examination rooms, "Commander, is that you? Come on in."
Turning toward the source of the voice, the Commander found Eagle, usually seen in her Royal Navy uniform, now donned in a white lab coat with a stethoscope around her neck. Her demeanor shifted from the stern battlefield commander to a caring medical professional.
"Feeling a bit under the weather, are we?" Eagle asked, her tone soothing as she gestured for the Commander to take a seat on the examination bed.
"Yeah, just a bit," the Commander replied, taking a seat and letting out a sigh. "I've been pushing myself lately, and I guess it's catching up to me."
Eagle nodded understandingly, her professional demeanor intact. "That's what I'm here for. Let me take a look and see if there's anything we need to address."
She began the examination, checking the Commander's vitals and asking about any specific symptoms. The atmosphere in the room shifted from the usual battlefield tension to a more intimate and caring setting.
As Eagle worked, she couldn't help but express her concern, "You know, taking care of your shipgirls is important, but so is taking care of yourself. You can't lead them effectively if you're not in top condition."
The Commander chuckled lightly, appreciating the genuine concern. "I know, Eagle. It's just hard to slow down sometimes."
Eagle smiled, her medical professionalism giving way to a more personal warmth. "I get it. But we're a team, and that includes you. Don't forget that."
“I know, I know, what are the doctor’s orders for this one,” the commander asked as he looked down at Eagle, figuring that she had an idea what he needed to do.
Eagle looked up from her notes, a playful glint in her eyes. "Ah, the infamous Commander seeking the doctor's wisdom. Well, considering your symptoms and the stress you've been under, I'd prescribe a mandatory break from all the paperwork and mission planning."
She leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms in mock sternness. "I want you to take it easy for a day. No rushing around, no intense strategy sessions, just a bit of relaxation. Maybe catch up on some sleep or enjoy a leisurely stroll."
The Commander chuckled, recognizing the irony of being ordered to relax by one of his shipgirls. "So, you're prescribing me some R&R, huh? I can't argue with that. Anything else, Doctor?"
Eagle adopted a more serious expression. "Stay hydrated, get some nutritious meals, and, if you can manage it, delegate some tasks to your capable secretary. A stressed-out Commander isn't good for anyone, least of all yourself."
The Commander nodded, appreciating the advice. "Alright, Doctor Eagle. I'll follow your orders to the letter. Thanks for looking out for me."
Eagle smiled warmly. "It's all in a day's work. Now, go and take care of yourself. Your shipgirls need you at your best."
“I see, so, Eagle, I think I need some one on one support on this goal, from my beautiful doctor. How about you spend this day off with me,” he reasoned with a playful smile on his lips.
Eagle's eyes widened slightly at the unexpected request, her professional demeanor momentarily giving way to surprise. She blinked before a subtle blush touched her cheeks. The Commander's playful smile seemed to catch her off guard.
"Oh, um, well, Commander, I'm here to ensure your health and well-being," she stammered, glancing down at her clipboard for a moment as if seeking refuge. However, she quickly composed herself and met the Commander's gaze.
"But, if you believe spending the day together will contribute to your recovery," she said with a small smile, "I suppose I could make an exception for today. After all, it's for your health, Commander."
The Commander grinned, sensing both the genuine concern and the hint of playful reluctance in Eagle's response. "Great! It's a date, then. We can take it easy, maybe grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the day off. What do you say?"
Eagle chuckled softly, her professionalism giving way to a more relaxed demeanor. "Alright, Commander, it's a deal. Just promise me you'll follow the doctor's orders and not overexert yourself."
The Commander saluted with a playful twinkle in his eye. "I solemnly swear to adhere to all the doctor's recommendations. Let's make the most of this day off, shall we?"
The Commander looked at the doctor or just Eagle, with her beautiful voluptuous body, her beautiful appearance, her yellow eyes, her brown hair tied back in a large braid that went down to her back, and her shapely long legs.
“Hungry for anything, I know that you are a big fan of healthy food, so maybe we can get something light before our walk to the port to find a nice place to rest together on one of the benches? Maybe a salad for you and a sandwich for me,” the commander reasoned with Eagle.
Eagle glanced at the Commander, her cheeks slightly flushed at the unexpected compliment. She nodded in agreement, appreciating the thoughtful suggestion.
"Sounds like a plan, Commander. A light meal before a leisurely walk sounds perfect. And you're right, a salad does sound delightful. Let's find a place that offers some fresh, healthy options," she replied, her yellow eyes sparkling with a mix of professionalism and a hint of playfulness.
As they strolled through the nearby town, they came across a quaint cafe with outdoor seating. The aroma of fresh coffee and baked goods wafted through the air. Eagle eyed the menu, searching for a suitable option.
"I think this place will do nicely," she suggested, leading the way to an empty table. "A salad for me, and what about you, Commander?"
The Commander grinned. "I'll go for a turkey and avocado sandwich, please. And how about some herbal tea for both of us? It's light and refreshing."
Eagle nodded in agreement, signaling the waiter. As they waited for their order, the Commander couldn't help but appreciate the picturesque scene around them, with Eagle's presence adding a touch of elegance to the moment.
As their light meal arrived, the Commander raised his teacup in a toast. "To a relaxing day and good company. Cheers, Eagle."
Eagle smiled, clinking her teacup against his. "Cheers, Commander. May this be a day to remember."
As he drank his tea, he couldn’t help but enjoy his time around Eagle, he knew that she was good for him. That her concerns and worries about his health came from a good place. She was such a good girl. “Now, it is nice sitting here with you, Eagle,” the commander commented, slipping one arm around her shoulders pulling her closer to himself.
“Having you around is so relaxing, and the view is great,” he said looking out at the bay as ships moved and out of the bay, it was relaxing but there was enough movement to keep things interesting as well. It was such a calm time.
Eagle leaned into the Commander's embrace, feeling a warmth in her cheeks at the closeness. She smiled contentedly, appreciating the Commander's words and the shared moment.
"I'm glad you think so, Commander. It's moments like these that remind us of the beauty in simplicity," she replied, her voice soft and calming. The view of the bay, with ships gracefully moving in and out, provided a tranquil backdrop to their shared time.
She took a sip of her tea, enjoying the quiet companionship. "And you know, it's essential to take a break and appreciate the calm amidst our busy lives. It helps us recharge and face whatever challenges come our way."
“Yeah, true, it is a beautiful simple day, and it is hard to notice these simple things often,” he said as he turned, his eyes looking at the brown haired woman. “However, I don’t think you are anything close to simple, Eagle, but you are also very beautiful in your complexity, my dear.”
Eagle met the Commander's gaze, her yellow eyes reflecting a mixture of surprise and genuine warmth. His compliment seemed to catch her off guard, and a soft smile graced her lips.
"Commander, you always have a way with words," she replied, her voice carrying a hint of appreciation. "I suppose, like the sea out there, we all have layers and depths that might not be immediately apparent."
As the Commander continued to express his sentiments, Eagle's cheeks tinged with a deeper blush. She appreciated the acknowledgment of her complexity, feeling a sense of connection in his words.
"Thank you," she said sincerely, "for seeing beyond the surface, Commander. It means a lot."
“You're very welcome,” the commander commented as he leaned in and captured her lips with his own, his lips pressing firmly as he pulled Eagle a bit closer to himself. He let this kiss linger for a bit longer than normal before pulling back. “I think your right simple is really nice even in actions.”
Eagle was taken by surprise at the Commander's bold move, her eyes widening briefly before closing as she allowed herself to be enveloped in the kiss. She felt a warmth spreading through her, a mix of emotions ranging from surprise to a subtle joy. The lingering kiss left her momentarily breathless, and as the Commander pulled back, her gaze met his with a newfound intimacy.
For a moment, she remained silent, savoring the shared connection. Then, a soft, genuine smile graced her lips. "You're right, Commander. Sometimes, the simplest actions speak volumes."
“Now, let us go for a walk, I know that it is early in the day, still and we can just relax, walking for a while and relax,” the commander commented as he got up and offered her his hand.
Eagle accepted the Commander's outstretched hand, a warm smile gracing her lips. "A walk sounds wonderful, Commander. I could use some fresh air, and it's always nice to stretch the legs after a good meal."
As they strolled along the waterfront, the Commander and Eagle enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The gentle breeze carried the scent of the sea, and the rhythmic sound of waves provided a soothing backdrop. The Commander's hand in hers brought a sense of comfort, and Eagle couldn't help but appreciate the simplicity and beauty of the moment.
As the day went along the two would stop and talk about various parts of the port, the commander helping out some shipgirl who needed advice, or with something small, while making sure that he didn’t do to much as he knew that he had his doctor to keep him from working too hard as he walked with her. He smiled at Eagle as the walk came to an end at his own place.
The day unfolded with moments of shared conversations, small acts of assistance, and the comforting presence of each other. The Commander, mindful of Eagle's concern for his health, ensured that he didn't overexert himself while still being there for the shipgirls who needed his guidance.
As the walk led them through various parts of the port, the Commander couldn't help but notice the positive impact Eagle had on those they encountered. Her caring and composed demeanor resonated with the shipgirls, creating an atmosphere of trust and support.
By the time they reached the Commander's place, the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the port. The Commander turned to Eagle with a grateful smile.
"Thank you for today, Eagle. It's been a day well spent, and your company made it all the more enjoyable," he expressed sincerely.
Eagle returned the smile, her yellow eyes reflecting a sense of contentment. "The pleasure was mine, Commander. It's not often we get to take a break from our responsibilities. I'm glad I could share this day with you."
“Do you want to come in for tonight?” The commander asked with a playful tone to his voice.
Eagle looked at the Commander with a mix of surprise and amusement, her cheeks tinged with a subtle blush. His playful tone caught her off guard, but there was a warmth in her expression.
"Well, Commander, I suppose that could be a nice way to end the day," she replied, a hint of playfulness in her response.
As the Commander opened the door to his place, they stepped inside, marking the continuation of a day that had taken unexpected turns. The door closed behind them as they enter into the room, the tale of the day came to an end.
