A little explanation about the Hybrid World :
- A Hybrid will be born in their animal form.
- Hybrids aged 0-16 years are called Sub-Hybrids or can also be called Baby Hybrids.
- At that age, they will always wear a red bracelet on one leg to indicate that they are a Hybrid.
- Baby Hybrid will be cared for by their respective parents until they are 10 years old before finally being left to live alone in the outside world so they can be independent.
- When they are 17 years old, Hybrids will gain their human form and will know their second gender whether it is Alpha or Omega. If they don't experience symptoms of Rut (for Alpha), or Heat (for Omega) that means they are a Beta.
- Baby Hybrids can't talk like humans, but they can understand what is said. Only when they are in human form can they speak like humans.
- Adult Hybrid can turn back into their animal form whenever they want.
Chapter 1
1. A Dog Hybrid...?
A voice like a soft howl woke up someone who was still sleeping soundly in bed. His long ears lifted slightly from his face to adjust his hearing again, his glazed eyes began to open and stared incoherently at something under the bed.
"Cotton candy..." he muttered, staring with a watering mouth when he saw the mix of pink and white lump, but strangely enough, cotton candy didn't speak.
"Awoo..." the soft howl was heard again.
“Coby?” rubbing his eyes lightly, the boy finally woke up completely from his sleep to look at his furry friend, "You woke up so early, what's wrong?"
Back to a few days ago, Luffy is a Rabbit Hybrid who just got his human body a few months ago when he turned 17 years old. As someone who likes adventure, Luffy wants to take full advantage of this opportunity. He ask his family that he want to go on an adventure alone for several months to adapt to the wild and learn new things.
Unfortunately, his two big brothers and grandpa did not let Luffy to do that, because the three of them were Alphas who were very possessive of their Pack and also because Luffy was an Omega.
But that wasn't a problem for Luffy. No matter how they didn't agree to his request, in the end they would give in to his pleading and sad bunny eyes, ended up giving Luffy a maximum time limit of 6 months before having to return home.
And so, Luffy's journey through a new place begins!
About two weeks after entering the new city, thanks to his very sensitive hearing, Luffy accidentally heard a groan coming from something that seemed frightened. Following the voice out of instinct, Luffy entered the territory of an Alpha who led a dangerous group that had terrorized the Orange City for several times. Because Luffy doesn't understand the rules there, he doesn't know how dangerous the group is.
Their leader, a Fox Hybrid with a scary smile says that her name is "Captain Alvida", although of course Luffy won't remember her name.
But Luffy's gaze was only directed at the figure under Alvida's feet, who at that time was protecting himself by curling his trembling body.
"There are red bracelets on his front legs, he is a Hybrid." said Luffy, completely ignoring Alvida's previous words.
Looking quite annoyed, Alvida once again kicked the little Hybrid who could only let out a weak squeak with his body shaking in fear.
“Hey!” Luffy finally looked at Alvida for the first time, his gaze sharp.
"You're finally looking at me, Omega." Alvida grinned slightly, placing a hand under her chin, "I've never seen your face before and I admit your Phromones smell good. Maybe you can be my Omega? That way, I can forgive your rude behavior earlier."
Luffy gave her a look of disgust.
Getting this response made Alvida very angry, she deliberately released thick Pheromones from an angry Alpha that made several of her subordinates afraid and intimidated. But not Luffy.
“Blegh, you smell really bad of Alpha Pheromones.” Luffy groaned, covering his nose.
This incident caused a big fight to occur, where in the end Alvida and her men ganged up on Luffy who was alone.
Unfortunately for them, even as an Omega, Luffy has physical strength that is almost the same if not much stronger than an Alpha. Allowing him to finish off Alvida's group easily and get out of the area with only a few minor injuries while carrying the tortured Hybrid in his arms.
Not far from the previous place, Luffy raised the Hybrid in front of his face while looking at it carefully.
He is... A Dog Hybrid? Luffy thought because his body shape was similar to a dog's, even his wide ears drooped down like a puppy who was protecting himself.
This Dog Hybrid has very unique colored fur which makes Luffy very interested, the fur is quite long with pink and white on the bottom of the chin down to the stomach, there are blood on several parts of his body, marks from Alvida's torture and Luffy is sure that his hind legs also injured. Then he also had a shaggy tail that was falling down tensely, his big black eyes looked at Luffy fearfully as if waiting for the bad treatment he would do.
Raising his eyebrows, Luffy asked, “How can a baby Hybrid like you be with them? Shouldn't you be with your group?”
“…”
Of course there was no answer because the Hybrid had not yet regained its human form, when he realized that a few seconds later, Luffy grimaced and laughed awkwardly.
"Of course you can't answer..." he muttered.
The Rabbit Hybrid walked back while carrying the Dog Hybrid in his arms, not realizing that slowly the dog's body was no longer shaking thanks to smelling Luffy's calming Omega pheromones.
And that was the first time Luffy met Coby.
2. Close, Closer.
Five days have passed since then and Luffy finally decided to take care of Coby until his wound healed. Luffy himself has no experience in caring for a baby Hybrid, but he tries his best by using his childhood memories of Makino and Dadan treating his wounds.
At first, of course Coby was still very afraid and doubtful of him, but in an instant his nature changed to be more open to him. He even wrote his name on the ground using a twig and showed it to Luffy, a sign that he trusted Luffy completely.
Coby is now like Luffy's friend, Luffy even invited him to hunt together even though in the end Coby would hide because he got scared. But hey, he's changed a lot now! Coby will even occasionally bring Luffy a fish or two that he caught while Luffy was still sleeping, like right now.
“Oh! You brought me another fish?” Luffy says after looking at the fish on the floor in front of Coby.
The Hybrid Dog's eyes suddenly sparkled and his tail moved, tapping the floor vigorously, a sign that he was excited.
“You caught three today!?” Luffy jumped out of bed and immediately lifted Coby in his arms, rubbing his fur excitedly, "That's so cool!"
“Awoo!” Coby howling on his ear, his tail still moving very excitedly.
"After I eat it, let's go hunting together again!" said Luffy, who get a respond with a lick on his cheek from Coby.
Coby and Luffy became best friends after that, even after Coby's wounds had healed, the Dog Hybrid still faithfully followed him everywhere.
“Are you sure you want to come with me? Isn't this your hometown?” Luffy looked at Coby confused.
A shake of his head made Luffy's eyes widen, "Oh... Did that uh, fa, huh, Spapida kidnap you and bring you here?"
(A/N : Spapida is Alvida, Luffy just forget her name.)
A nod, then a shake.
“Well, whatever. If you want to come with me, then let's go!” said Luffy, holding his backpack tightly.
The Dog Hybrid happily followed next to him, his head raised to look at the Rabbit Hybrid who was just looking ahead, but Coby couldn't look away from that carefree face he began to admire so much.
A month has passed, the two of them have visited several new places. And there has been a big change in Coby's figure.
Luffy just realized it when he was combing Coby's fur on his bed.
“…Have you gotten a lot bigger?” Luffy say, he put his comb aside as he lifted the Dog Hybrid's body in his arms, "Wow! Have you gained weight too? The first time I carried you, it was just like lifting a cotton candy!”
The Dog Hybrid turned his face away as if embarrassed but it's made Luffy excited and hugged him.
“You really have gotten bigger!” Luffy couldn't stop laughing, he rubbed his face against Coby's soft fur while the Dog Hybrid did nothing to stop him.
Once satisfied, Luffy put Coby back on his lap and combed him again.
“Come to think of it, how old are you, Coby? 10 years? or 13 years old? I've never met a Dog Hybrid before so I don't know much about your growth.”
That brought a response from Coby, his head lifting and turning to look at Luffy.
The Rabbit Hybrid was a little surprised when Coby got out of bed, took a twig that he had kept and wrote something on the dirt floor.
“...One...Six...” Luffy read it, looking at the big black eyes that stared back at him, silent for a moment before Luffy's face change to shock, “Sixteen?! You're 16 years old!?”
Coby nodded a little hesitantly, he put the twig back in its place and just sat there with his head bowed.
Luffy doesn't understand what Coby is thinking in his head, but right now Coby feels sad because he thinks that Luffy will stay away from him from now on after knowing that the Hybrid he has been taking care of for month is actually has almost reached adulthood. He felt like he had lied to Luffy.
But then, the voice that Coby really liked is heard again, making him immediately look up with teary eyes as if he wanted to cry.
"What do you do there? I haven't finished combing your fur yet!” Luffy says with an open smile, so bright, so beautiful that it takes Coby's breath away.
3. A Wolf.
Coby really loves Luffy.
He was the only one for Coby, the first person to save him from despair, the first person to consider him a friend, and also the first to accept him to be by his side, to going through the journey with him.
Even though Luffy mistakenly thinks of him as a Dog Hybrid, Coby doesn't mind, he has no problem being a loyal dog who will always accompany Luffy. Moreover, from the start Coby never thought that he was suitable to be born as a Wolf Hybrid.
...No.
That's all changed now.
After living together with Luffy for almost two months, Coby finally realized that he really wanted to become a proper Wolf Hybrid. He doesn't want to just give Luffy a few more fish every morning, he wants to catch his own big prey and give it to Luffy because that's what he deserves.
With that determination, Coby tried hard to learn how to hunt more seriously. Training to use his claws that he had been afraid to use, learned how to growl when he was alone and also bite onto some trees to test how strong his jaws were.
And after two months of living together, Coby came home while carrying a deer in his jaw. One of his leg was a little bloody because it was cut by a tree branch while hunting this deer, but Coby showed off the wound proudly, standing tall in front of their house.
“Coby... You caught that?” Luffy looked at him with wide eyes.
The Wolf Hybrid dropped the deer in front of Luffy's feet, his tail wagging rapidly and its eyes sparkling as if wanted to be praised.
Luffy jumped up and hugged him, rewarding Coby with a head rub and various words of praise "You're so cool, you're so good.”
Coby howled happily like an obedient Wolf.
"Ah!” Luffy let go from the hug to look at Coby's bleeding leg, "We have to treat your wound first, okay?"
Even though the bandages made by Luffy were quite messy, it was enough for Coby. The Wolf stared closely at Luffy as he was putting the medicine box back in its place, humming happily because he was proud with what Coby had achieved.
“You've been growing really fast lately, Coby. Are all Dog Hybrids like that?” Luffy asked a little curious.
Coby wanted to say that he wasn't a Dog Hybrid, but he had no problem waiting until he got his human body to tell Luffy everything about himself. That the reason why his body was so small until the moment before he met Luffy was because Coby had always been a coward, always not daring to take a step forward as a Wolf Hybrid.
Coby has rejected himself, he is also the one who doesn't believe in himself.
But that no longer applies, because now Luffy is by his side. He is person who taught Coby that it doesn't matter what kind you are, as long as you have a strong desire to be free, then you can definitely do anything.
And the Wolf finally realized that Luffy was not just a savior or someone he only admired anymore.
This feeling... If it's not falling in love, what else is it called?
4. Heat.
This happened in the third month when Luffy and Coby lived together.
That day, Luffy didn't get out of bed and Coby realized that Luffy's body temperature was very hot and he looked in great pain, wrapping his body in a thick blanket and whimpering weakly.
In his panic, Coby tried to call a nearby doctor, even though he couldn't talk to them but Coby could have drawn them here. But Luffy's weak voice made him stop and Coby was immediately beside him when the Rabbit Hybrid put one of his hand out of the blanket as if trying to reach the Wolf.
"I-I'm okay..." Luffy tried to say, his breathing a little ragged and his face is so red.
Coby howl a little and gave him a worried look, bringing his face closer to Luffy's hand.
Even Luffy's hands felt hot.
“This, I was just having my Heat… I forgot it was time already.” Luffy stroked Coby's fur, closed his eyes and hid his face in the blanket again.
A switch has been pressed in Coby's head. Of course he already knew what Heat was because he had studied various things about Alpha and Omega a long time ago, but he had never really realized that Luffy was an Omega.
Coby had indeed smelled a fragrant and sweet smell several times when Luffy hugged him, but because Coby himself couldn't smell Pheromones clearly, he never thought too much about it.
Knowing this now only made Coby even more panicked and confused. Because from his knowledge, an Omega (especially a Rabbit Hybrid like Luffy) is very vulnerable during their Heat.
Reflexively, Coby stepped back to get out of the house, but as if noticed this, Luffy looked at him with pitiful eyes.
“Don't go.”
As if on autopilot, Coby climbed onto the bed and lick a stripe on Luffy's cheek. He thought that it would be fine since Coby didn't have a second gender yet, he wouldn't do anything bad to Luffy by accident. Especially since Luffy clearly didn't want him to go right now.
"Ah..." with a shaky breath, Luffy hugged Coby and brought him down to cuddle with him, hiding his face in the Wolf's thick fur, "Coby... I feel so hot..."
A lick fell on Luffy's cheek again from the Wolf trying to groom him. Surprisingly, it managed to make Luffy calmer, his breath was no longer shaky and he even hugged Coby tighter.
“Mm... Do it more.”
Coby moved to groom Luffy's hair and long ears, unconsciously making a purring sound which made Luffy content until soon the Rabbit Hybrid fell asleep in his warm furry arms.
A few hours after that, Luffy woke up again when he felt a sudden emptiness in his lower body, he groaned uncomfortably when his Heat hit him again at full force.
This is the same as what he experienced a few months ago when he got his first Heat. That moment was hell for Luffy because he didn't know what to do.
But he had been taught by Makino now, so Luffy immediately got out of bed to look for something in his bag. When he finds it, he goes back to bed, whimpering as he tries to use it to fill his emptiness.
A soft moan escaped his lips followed by a few frustrated growls as he felt like it wasn't enough to reach his need. His eyes weren't focused anymore because all he had in mind right now was to fill himself up.
He... He needed something more... Something that could move without the help of his hands, something hotter, longer and...
"Ah!"
Luffy bit his pillow as he came for the first time that day, but he still didn't feel like he had enough. Tears had fallen onto his face and pillow, he tried to keep a small whimper from escaping his lips but failed.
A green cloth came into his sight, making his ears stand up and he tried to get off the bed even though his legs were shaking.
Luffy sat weakly in front of the basket, there were two pieces of cloth inside.
Taking the cloth, Luffy immediately put it in front of his nose, sniffing the remaining scent with a happy face. Omega's satisfied pheromones emitted from his body as he carried the two cloths on the bed, covering himself with the soothing scent.
The Omega didn't realize that the cloth was Coby's.
5. Desire.
Coby sat obediently in front of the door of their house, he had been there since before Luffy woke up again.
The wolf knew that Luffy's heat would be much more intense when he woke up, that's why Coby immediately distanced himself from the Omega.
Actually, the wolf could clearly hear all the sounds coming from inside the house, but Coby couldn't go too far when Luffy was in his vulnerable time like this. An Omega in Heat will definitely emit a strong Pheromone scent that will attract Alphas whoever it is, that's why Coby must still be here to protect him.
Even though that means he has to restrain himself (his desire) to go in and help the Omega to calm his Heat.
But who is he really?
Coby wasn't even an Alpha and he was sure that people like him would only end up being Betas.
“A-ah!”
The wolf droop to the ground and tried to cover his ears with his paws, he could feel his face starting to heat up. In this case, Coby cursed himself for having very sharp hearing, all the sounds he heard from the Omega made him feel strange...
Coby was grateful that he had left the house before Luffy woke up, he couldn't imagine what he would feel if he was in there...
Several hours after that, Luffy's voice was no longer heard, only soft snoring that he could faintly hear. The wolf took the opportunity to come in and check the situation.
His black eyes widened when he saw that his cloth ( which he usually used as a blanket when the nights were very cold) had completely wrapped Luffy's body and the Omega seemed to be clutching the cloth tightly as if he was afraid of losing it.
There were various thoughts popping into his head at the moment, but the main and clearest one was that Coby realized that Luffy had used his cloth as his nest.
But... but why ?
According to the book Coby once read, Omega will only use the Alpha clothes from their Pack as a nest when they were in Heat. Then why does Luffy use Coby's cloth even though he is not an Alpha...?
Shaking his head, Coby finally approached Luffy and saw his condition clearly.
His face suddenly became sad when he realized that there were tear marks on Luffy's cheeks and his eyes also looked swollen... It was because Luffy was crying a lot earlier, clearly feeling pain because his Omega's need were not fulfilled. If only Coby was Alpha... Maybe he could help.
Carefully, the wolf licked the tear marks and then the rabbit's ears which were still shaking slightly until it calmed down. But something made Coby stop, his eyes focused on something at Luffy's swollen nape.
It is Luffy's Mating Gland, where it will be a mark of the bond that will bind him to his partner for life.
Coby doesn't understand why he became very interested in that, but what is certain is the delicious scent that suddenly entered his sense of smell from Luffy's nape, like the smell of the calm ocean and bright sunlight, the scent of freedom that he always admired.
When he came to, his nose had stuck to the gland and was sniffing it greedily. The wolf moved away immediately, his eyes wide.
“C...Coby?” Luffy tried to speak with his voice still hoarse, waking up because he felt something was wrong.
The rabbit's glazed eyes focused on his wolf friend who looked scared not far from him, when he was about to ask what he was doing, Luffy felt something was still inside him. His face was completely red, grateful that his body was covered by the cloth so Coby don't have to see what he's doing with his toy.
“Coby?” The second call from Luffy finally woke Coby up from his shock.
The wolf stood upright on all fours, took a twig and wrote something on the ground.
“…You will make food for me?” Luffy said after reading it, the wolf responded with a nod.
He wrote again.
"Please sleep until I finish the food..." Luffy smiled at Coby, nodding slightly, "Thanks."
The wolf's tail swayed left and right in happiness, then he went outside.
Luffy might not know, but Coby's heart was pounding violently at that moment. Didn't expect that he... he almost bite Luffy in the most sacred part of him.
It makes Coby afraid of himself.
It would still take a few more months for Coby to become an adult Hybrid and get his human form, so it didn't make sense how Coby felt so attracted to Luffy's Mating Gland and also his Omega scent. This is all completely beyond reason.
The wolf finally kept all the confusion to himself. Taking care of Luffy during his heat, making him food (grilled meat or fruit he picked), protecting him from danger and even cleaning his body.
Four days after that, Luffy looked much more energetic because his heat had ended, his eyes sparkled when he saw the grilled meat cooked by Coby.
“Thanks, Coby!” Luffy says after eating it with gusto because during his Heat he didn't have much appetite and was also very tired.
Coby sat obediently while looking at Luffy in relief, very happy to be able to help the Omega at his most vulnerable time.
Not long after that, the two of them were lying on the bed (that had been replaced) with Luffy hugging Coby's body tightly, without realizing that he had smelled the wolf's body scent. Currently Luffy was in his pre-Heat phase and really wanted physical touch so Coby let the Omega do what he wanted to him.
Every now and then, the wolf would groom the rabbit again which finally brought a sound of comfort from the Omega. This made him remember the day he first met Luffy, at that time Luffy would always groom him to make him feel better too. This is their way of showing affection.
6. Disaster.
Unfortunately, this peaceful day only lasted briefly because a storm separated them the next day.
It was still very early in the morning so Coby and Luffy were still sleeping while hugging each other, because Coby's body was so big that it almost made them look like a Hybrid couple in general.
Both of them had not realized when three people had entered the house very casually as if it was their own house.
“Oi, Luffy! We came to visit yー”
What happened after that was very scary, where there was a lot of growling and scratching and some blood was spilled.
Luffy woke up with a shocked face and was shaking a little because of the strong Alpha Pheromone which made him quite dizzy even though it came from someone he was familiar with.
"What are you doing Ace, Sabo!!!" Luffy shouted while standing in front of Coby, who is already covered in wounds in various part of his body, but the wolf was still growling and staring at his attacker with a vicious gaze.
In front of Luffy stood a big old man who was holding (with all his might) a big Black Wolf that was growling with sharp fangs ready to tear, his eyes were only staring at Coby. Then there was another golden-brown lion next to the old man who looked at Luffy hesitantly before finally turning back into his human form.
“Are you guys crazy!?” shouted Luffy.
Seeing Luffy's expression made the black wolf speechless and after a few moments he freed himself from the old man's grip and turned into a human again.
"Luffy... You," the black wolf turned into a tall man with black hair, there were many freckles on his face.
“Ace.” Luffy sighed, "Apologize to Coby now." he said with a heavy gaze.
Ace frowned, “And why would I do that! Do you know what he did to you!?”
"What did he do to me?" Luffy looked at him with an expression that didn't waver in the slightest.
“Luffy, you let an Alpha sleep with you when your Heat will arrive soon. Didn't you think about the risks!?”
“Alpha?” Luffy looked at Ace confused, "Coby isn't even 17 years old yet, it's not known whether he's an Alpha or not!"
This made the other men a little surprised.
“Not 17 years old yet? But he has Alpha Pheromone on him, otherwise there's no way Ace and I would attack him as soon as we saw him, Luffy." said the Lion Hybrid, Sabo.
“And then, I went through my Heat yesterday, Coby was the one who took care of me during that time, he even prepared food for me! Why do you have to be mean to him?!”
“You already getting past your Heat...?” Ace muttered with wide eyes.
"That's impossible, your Heat won't start in three days which is why we all came here quickly to protect you." Sabo said in disbelief.
“Huh...?” Luffy looked at them confused.
“Hey, I'm here too, you know!!” the old man, who turned out to be Luffy's grandfather, Garp finally spoke.
Garp approached Luffy as if he wanted to hug him but when he was in front of the rabbit hybrid, he smacked him on the head.
“Ow!!”
Unexpectedly, Garp's left leg was bitten by a pink furred wolf, his eyes were dilated and unfocused, only adrenaline was currently making him able to move. Coby felt that this big man hit Luffy because he has bad intentions, that's why he immediately attacked him.
Instead of feeling pain, Garp grinned at him in interest.
“You found something quite interesting.” said Garp.
“Coby isn't a 'thing,' he's my friend.” Luffy said irritably as he pulled Coby from Garp's leg, stroking his body a little to release his bite.
"What the hell..." Ace muttered as he felt his head throbbing from his confusion.
A few hours after that the families were finally able to sit quietly in Luffy's small house.
Luffy sat on his bed with Coby on his lap, unconscious due to extreme adrenaline and fatigue, all his wounds had been treated with Garp's help. Luffy finally explains in his strange way about how he met Coby and ended up living with him.
"So he really isn't an Alpha..?" Sabo muttered.
“I swear I smelled the Alpha Pheromone coming from him.” said Ace, still looking disapprovingly at the wolf in Luffy's lap.
“Well, it's not impossible.” Garp chewed his cracker hungrily, "He's almost 17 years old, his pheromones must be starting to form."
"You mean he will indeed become an Alpha?" Ace asked.
“Yeah.” Garp answered simply, "Not only you, but Sabo and I can also feel it. That kid might have become an Alpha when he hit 17 years old, but because he lived with Luffy for several months and adapted to Luffy's Omega Pheromones, his Alpha side got triggered and made him gain Alpha sense faster than normal."
Sabo massaged his temples, "I once read it in a book, I thought it was just a fairy tale?"
"What do you mean?" Ace looked at him suspiciously.
"Ace, that wolf, Cola or whatever his name is, he is Luffy's Fated Mate." Sabo said heavily.
As if struck by lightning, Ace froze in place with his eyes and mouth wide.
“What!?!?!”
Luffy only looked at them with a confused look, not really understanding what was being said.
7. Farewell.
“Coby, are you sure you want to do this?” Luffy asked.
A nod was the only answer he got, as well as a wag of the wolf's tail indicating that he was quite happy. Luffy responded with a smile too.
“Bye, Coby.” Luffy said as he waved his hand, transformed into his rabbit form and climbed onto Ace's broad shoulders and left with him without looking back.
It was Coby's decision to part ways with Luffy, especially after knowing everything that happened yesterday.
Coby just found out that the two Hybrids who attacked him yesterday were Luffy's adopted brothers because they thought Coby was an Alpha who had bad intentions towards their little brother. This made Coby a little confused because he wasn't Alpha, but... Maybe he himself had also subconsciously realized this possibility.
It's very strange why Coby, who is a wolf hybrid, can quickly feel close to Luffy, and also just a few months of living with Luffy has made Coby grow very quickly from only the size of a puppy until he finally becomes an almost adult wolf, as big as Luffy's human form. Moreover, when Luffy is in Heat, the desire to plant his fangs in Luffy's scent glands is not just a coincidence, it is all just part of his desire to quickly become one with Luffy.
Because Luffy is his Mate.
A chance so small that it would make others think it was a fairy tale, but it happened to Coby.
Fated Mate, the most valuable thing in a Hybrid's life.
Meeting his Fated Mate before he became an adult, had unknowingly helped him to grow into himself, forming a bond that nothing but death could separate.
But he still couldn't have Luffy now.
Not when he had just gotten his wolf side, not when he was still weak like this.

Some other explanation :
- Heat
Heat is only experienced by Omega. Omega experiences Heat once every three months for three days. Omega in Heat becomes very sensitive both mentally and physically. Omega Heat can be relieved in 2 ways, 1) Scenting, 2) Knotting. But that doesn't mean Heat can be stopped if you do one of the 2 things above, the effect is only to relieve it.
- Scenting
This can only be done by a pair of Alpha-Omega. Scenting is the process by which Alpha and Omega share the scent they produce. Scent glands are usually found in the wrist and neck. The process is by touching or sniffing the partner's scent glands so that their scent sticks to the partner. Scenting can not only be done on a partner, but can also be done on a family member or their pack.
- Biting / Marking
This can only be done on Alpha-Omega pairs, but only Alpha can make Marking that last a lifetime (the scars will not disappear) on their Omega's neck. The Omega Marking area that lasts forever is at the back of the neck (where the Mating Gland is). Once an Omega is Marked, they can only have sex with the partner who has given them the Mark and their Omega Heat will only affect their Alpha partner.
- Fated Mate
Is a very rare case. They are an Alpha and Omega pair who have been destined to be mates since they were born. Only each partner can trigger the Heat or Rut on each other. If someone already has a Fated Mate and is marked by someone else, they will usually end up dead not long after.
