Chapter Text
“Miss Jones, I really don’t know about this. It might just make things worse.” Daisy wrung her hands together, staring at her teacher.
“Daisy, I agree. But something has to happen. This whole situation has our school divided. Ever since that stupid video got posted everything has been in disssarray. The principal has asked this get resolved and for some reason she has suggested this be the way. She thinks that some, some big display of unity from the students at the center of it all will get things back to normal. I personally think she’s just watched to many movies, but I like my paycheck and I’m not itching to lose it.”
Daizy sighed, looking down at the flyer. When Miss Jones had first presented this ‘solution’ to her she was flabbergasted. It had come so out of left field she didn’t really know how to react.
“Just try it, if not for them than for me. For the student body. I don’t want these kids to leave this school this way. With regrets about who they are and what they’ve done. I want them to go out into the world with fond memories of this time. Even if this idea seems stupid, who knows? Maybe our esteemed principal is on to something.” Miss Jones looked at her with pleading eyes.
“Okay, fine. I’ll do it. But only because I couldn’t exactly come up with something better.” Daisy grabbed the folder Miss Jones had handed her, shoving the flyer inside of it. She grabbed her back and made her way to the door.
“Daisy!” Daisy turned her head, facing Miss Jones. “Thank you. I really think this school would be doomed without you.” Daisy smiled, nodding and leaving the classroom.
The school halls were empty this time of night. Most student’s home or out with friends. The last of the student council members had already left when Miss Jones had asked her to stay behind.
Her phone buzzed, notifications from various avenues. Some emails from student’s for student council meetings, text’s from her moms letting her know they won’t be home till later, and… instagram.
She shoved the phone in her pocket, a little more roughly than she had meant too. She had known it would be better to delete the app. But a part of her, the nosy part, wanted to be caught up on everything. She knew it was a stupid excuse. All you had to do to find out what was happening at RoseMeadow High was walk through the hallways.
She finally got to the school exit, the bus already at the stop waiting for her. She quickly ran ahead to catch it in time, greeting the bus driver with a smile, their usuall routine. He asked if she was alright, a comment about her never being late.
“I’m fine, just some student council stuff to deal with. Thanks for waiting.”
“Why of course Miss Daisy.” He laughed, gesturing to the rest fo the bus. “It’s not like I have any other passengers to worry about this time of day.”
Daisy laughed walking towards her regular seat in the back of the bus and setting her backpack next to her. She pulled her phone out and opened her messages.
She pressed the little plus sign, typing in the numbers she already knew. Then she grabbed the envelope, shuffling through the papers till she found this list. She copied the remaining numbers in.
She hesitantly typed out the message. She deleted the sentences a few times before deciding to just get it over with and she hit send.

Hello everyone! Before leaving this Chat please know that
anyone who does so will be facing punishment from the school.
Now for the reason we’re all here. The principal has instructed
me to help resolve this… conflict. Doing so has required me to
create this chat.
Daisy sighed. Aticipating the rapid fire of notifications before they even came through.

You guys all do, and there’s no point playing stupid. In fact,
the whole school knows.
If y’all still don’t know what I’m taking about then you actually
might be clinically brain dead.
Daisy cringed at her message. She hadn’t wanted to be too rude, but at this point she didn’t exactly have a choice. She wanted to wait till everyone was online, but at this rate they’d all mute the chat before she could break the news to them.

Daisy wasn’t sure if she was going to cry our laugh about this. She wanted to take it back immediately, tell Miss Jones and the Principal to forget it, that this plan was a bust. This whole thing was absurd. But she couldn’t. Not anymore.
Rainy Daisy:
