A is For: (all the things I love about you)

Summary:

I think this is called the alphabet challenge? (minus the kinks, kinda?)

Anyway...

It's all the things Steve and Eddie love about each other (kinda), alphabet style.

You should know I had the tiktok trend stuck in my head on repeat whilst reading this.

Notes:

Things Steve and Eddie love about each other/their sex life - The Alphabet Edition

This is unedited, but I had to post the draft.

Or else.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

A is for: Arms. Christ, Eddie loves Steve's arms. He loves watching them flex as he picks Eddie up, gripping his thighs. He loves when he's half asleep and he feels Steve wind his muscular arms around him, and pull Eddie close, pressing soft kisses to the back of his neck.
Eddie loves watching the veins pop when Steve struggles to hold himself above Eddie, lips bitten red and breathing fast.
Eddie loves Steve's arms in Eddie's battle vest, god it gets him hot.

B is for: Big boy. 'Harrington's got her. Don't ya, big boy? ' That had definitely awoken something in Steve when Eddie had said it. His proximity and the thrill of doing something they shouldn't be, adrenaline high. He'd been taken aback at the hot spark deep in his gut. Robin had scoffed and rolled her eyes but Steve was shocked silent. He told Eddie months later that it was a turn on. Eddie likes to tease him subtly in public by calling him 'big boy'; although maybe no so subtle, given how much Steve blushes.

C is for: Cock. Eddie won't lie, while me may predominantly be a top, he's a sucker for Steve's cock. The first time he'd bottomed for Steve, Eddie practically melted into the bed. It was gentle and sweet, but tortuously slow. Steve filled him up like no other, taking his time with the new sensations and driving Eddie to the brink. They've gotten well practised since that first time, and now Eddie bottoms half the time. What can he say, it's a magnificent cock.

D is for: D&D. Steve still struggles with the whole concept, but he comes to D&D nights with the Hellfire Club. He collects the kids and brings them around, picks up pizzas and drinks for particularly long sessions, and listens to Eddie rant for near on hours about the new campaign. Eddie rewards his patience and participation with blow jobs. Steve still can't look at a D20 without getting a hard on.

E is for: Eddie. Steve loves Eddie, every part of him. The most erratic and harebrained parts, to the soft and quiet sides, to the dark and angry aspects of his personality. Steve didn't realise how much he craved to be around him. At first, Steve thought that perhaps it was just trauma bonding, but the more he learned about Eddie, the more he wanted him. He spent more time around Eddie, and not just in the company of Robin or Dustin, or at work when Eddie got hired at Family Video, but afterwards too. Steve had asked Eddie had wanted to catch a late dinner - Steve's buying - and he was elated when Eddie said yes. They ate their burgers and talked about school, about music and celebrities, they talked about what they'd been through in the Upside Down, and about Eddie's theories. He'd listen to Eddie talk about his band, about his uncle Wayne and how he planned out the new D&D sessions, most of which went over Steve's head, but he smiled as he watched Eddie go through the retelling of campaigns, eyes bright and smile wide. Eddie talked about his favourite books and movies, and while Steve wasn't much of a reader, he enjoyed movies. He invited Eddie around for movie nights, which turned into late nights talking, pool parties and skinny dipping (which set Steve's skin on fire). They camped out in Eddie's van, went to parties with Robin (and now Vickie too). Underneath it all, it felt like Eddie was holding something back - and Steve wanted all of Eddie. It took time to work up his courage to kiss Eddie, but after that first time, unlike any other kiss Steve had ever had, he knew that Eddie was the one.

F is for: Friends. As happy as Steve and Eddie are to spend time with each other (in some cases, very happy), there's not much else they'd rather do than hang out with their friends. Steve still finds it a little sad he considers a bunch of kids his best friends, but he knows deep down, that he'd be lost without them. Mike and Lucas love to tease Eddie and Steve about their joint parenting over Dustin, but Dustin just beams like it's the best thing in the world. Goddamn he loves that kid. He loves pizza night at the Byers house, he loves camp outs over at Hopper and El's cabin, he hangs out all week for their trips to the Arcade - Eddie and Steve, in separate cars rocking up with a bunch of kids, plus Robin and Vickie, if they can refrain from sucking each others face off for more than five minutes. He misses Jonathan and Nance, but sends them updates while they're both away in college; he and Eddie both promised they'd look after Will. Eddie smirks as he watches Steve fuss and mother hen over the kids - hey I said no more candy, I am not cleaning up puke from my car - and admittedly catches himself mothering them from time to time. What can he say, they're the friends he's chosen to call family.

G is for: Guitar. Eddie nearly makes love to that guitar; he loses himself in the music. He's in a different world when he's playing, performing. He's played for Steve in private once, a sweet serenade turned bawdy after several joints and a considerable amount of nudity. They'll lie on Eddies bed as he idly plucks at the strings, his back against Steve's chest. Steve even went and bought him an acoustic guitar, just so he could listen to Eddie strum along softly of a night, when the nightmares keep them both up.

H is for: Hands. There's not much that Eddie hasn't done with those hands, and there's not much that Steve won't do to get those hands on him. Steve knows that Eddie can get him off with just his fingers, one of the more embarrassing moments of Steve's life, but Eddie just looked at him with those dark eyes, filled with awe. Musicians hands, long and graceful. He's watched Eddie with his guitar, seeming to merely caress the strings and getting the most sound out of them. A bit like how he plays Steve. Those hands, gripping Steve's thighs as Eddie went to work between them.

I is for: Ink. Steve had been waiting in his room for Eddie all day; he'd called him earlier and told him he'd be around in the afternoon. Steve sighed heavily on his bed, glancing at the clock that now read 5:06pm. He threw a tennis ball up toward the ceiling and caught it, again and again. It was twenty minutes later when he heard knocking at his door. Steve bolted from his room and down the stairs, flinging the door open. There stood Eddie, with a great grin on his face. "You're late, Munson." Steve said, breathlessly. Eddie laughed, "You're eager, Harrington." Steve glanced around the street before pulling Eddie into the house by his jacket. Steve closed the door and pushed Eddie up against it, tongue licking into his mouth. "Christ, Steve, slow down big boy." Eddie pulled himself away and held Steve at arms length; his pupils blown wide and his lips red. "I've got a surprise for you, Steve." Steve frowned. A surprise? Eddie led Steve by the hand up to his room, sitting Steve on the bed. Steve started to get nervous. "Is this a good surprise or a bad surprise?" he asked. Eddie paused in taking off his jacket. "Uh, good surprise, I hope?" Underneath the had a sleeveless tee on, and a plastic wrap around his upper right arm. Eddie unwound the wrap and showed off what was underneath to Steve, a small smile on his face. There, on his arm, was a new tattoo. A spiked bat, with little bits of blood and gore on the end; and engraved on the handle of the bat was the name "STEVIE". Steve's mouth dropped open, speechless. It wasn't the worse tattoo he'd seen, and it was a little tacky, but god it was so Eddie and he loved it. "Well... what do you think?" Eddie asked quietly. Steve looked up at Eddie from the bed, his big brown eyes uncertain. Steve shook his head fondly. "I think you're a giant dork, but I fucking love it." Steve said, leaning up to kiss Eddie tenderly. "This is where you've been all day?" Steve questioned. Eddie nodded, seemingly relieved. "Yeah, had to drive out of town to get it." He kissed Steve again. "I know it was impulsive but I wanted to get something that meant something to me and showed just how fucking much I love you, Steve Harrington." Eddie explained. Steve laughed, "I love you too, Eddie Muson." Eddie slipped the tee off and reached for his buckle, smirking. "If you loved that tattoo, you're gonna love the one I got on my ass."

J is for: Jeans. Specifically, Eddie's ass in jeans. God, Steve couldn't take his eyes off Eddie's ass whenever he wore jeans - which was all the time. Then there was that fucking hankie tucked into his back pocket. The day Steve had asked Eddie about the hankie in the pocket thing, well, it blew his mind. And if Steve had ever asked Eddie to keep them on during sex...well, everyone has got their kinks.

K is for: Kissing. Steve had been the one to make the first move. Eddie had been sending Steve signals all week, at least, that's what Steve had hoped. It was the single most terrifying thing Steve had ever done - and he's done some pretty scary shit. Eddie had gotten a job at Family Video after both Robin and Steve had vouched for him - and as a consequence, him and Eddie had gotten to know each other over the months following the defeat of Vecna. They had even taken to hanging out near the quarry in Eddies van, smoking some quality weed and talking about anything and everything. It had been one of those nights, looking up at the stars, when Steve had taken the risk. Eddie had a habit of glancing at Steve's lips when he spoke, a habit which Steve noted no one else had. Eddie also had no concept of personal space, hip bumping against Steves. Then there were the pet names, like big boy and sweetheart, that got Steve's heart racing. He turned his head from the dark starry sky and looked to Eddie; he looked at peace, but not so high that he wasn't aware of where he was. Steve had just needed something to take the edge off, but he could feel his nerves coming back; it was now or never. He propped himself up on his elbows, Eddie raising his brow. Steve stared him down as he finally got the guts to do what he'd been wanting to do for month. Slowly, he leaned over Eddie, his arms framing his head. He didn't want to scare Eddie, but he wanted to give him every chance to back away from this - but he didn't. He looked up at Steve, a deep smoulder in his eyes. Steve lowered his face to his, until they were breathing the same air, the anticipation nearly killing him, but Eddie still waited. Finally Steve melded his lips to Eddie's. Electricity ran from Steve's scalp down to his toes, his whole body felt alive as he kissed Eddie, and he nearly came undone when Eddie ran his hand through Steve's hair. When they finally parted for air, Eddie had the biggest smile on his face. "Took you long enough Harrington."

L is for: Lips. During the pandemonium with Vecna, there had been a lot of Steve's mind; but he'd often been distracted by Eddie's lips. In the middle of conversations and Eddie would lick his lips in a way no normal person would - it drove Steve mad. He stuck his tongue out when he thought, pursed his lips and twisted his mouth when he disagreed or was confused. They looked plush and wet. And then he'd run his fingers over them, back and forth. How was Steve not supposed to look? It took him a little longer to realise he wanted to taste them too. (They taste fucking fantastic, by the way.) He was ecstatic that after Eddie and him finally became an item that he got to have access to Eddie's lips whenever he wanted. Turns out there were a lot more uses for Eddie's lips than just kissing.

M is for: Makeup. Specifically, eyeliner. Steve had brought Robin and Vickie to the local bar to see Eddie's band, Corroded Coffin, He hadn't had the chance to see Eddie before the set started, so seeing Eddie walk out on stage with black lips and black eyeliner, shorted Steve's brain. He'd never thought Eddie wearing makeup before, but now is was all he could focus on. Eddie winked at Steve before the band started playing. Robin snorted and elbowed him in the ribs. As the night wore on, his eyeliner smudged, making his eyes appear dark and sensual. After the set, Steve begged Eddie to fuck him backstage. It was torment not being able to kiss Eddie but the black lipstick would have been a sure giveaway. Eddie laughed when Steve told him what had prompted their quick tumble. Eddie looked thoughtful, then bit his lip conspiratorially.

N is for: Notebooks. Steve hasn't seen everything inside of Eddie's notebooks, only glimpses. When questioned, Eddie smiles manically and says "a magician never reveals his tricks" to which Steve rolls his eyes at, but doesn't push. He knows that Eddie writes lyrics inside the notebooks, usually carrying a small one around on him that he'll scribble lyrics down on until its full and move onto another one. He's read some of them; lyrics about their time in the upside down, which Steve knows can't ever really be turned into an actual song; lyrics about Steve, about Steve's ass, cock, hands... Steve blushed scarlet at those while Eddie rolled around laughing. But every now and then Eddie will tear a page out and throw it away, or burn it. Steve thinks its a part of healing.

O is for: Ozzy Osbourne. Eddie had seen to Steve's education on the matter of Ozzy Osbourne himself. He brought Steve around to his and Wayne's trailer one night when his uncle was at work and walked Steve through the entire history of the Legendary Ozzy Osbourne; from his time in Black Sabbath to his solo career, to biting the heads off doves and bats. Steve could only smile as Eddie talked passionately about his heroes and idols, waving his arms and even playing him some of the songs on his own guitar. They then got high and listened to some of Eddie's large collection of metal music - Def Leppard, Metallica, Judas Priest. Steve wasn't totally into it, but he loved how excited Eddie got. It was worth the headache from the loud music to see Eddie happy.

P is for: Pool. Harrington was being a little shit and placed a bet that Eddie wouldn't beat him at pool. Eddie cracked his knuckles and accepted the challenge - however Stevie had decided to raise the bets; loser has to give the winner a blowjob. Eddie had never been more determined. Eddie was playing stripes and Steve was playing dirty - knocking his balls away from the pockets, prolonged eye contact as he lined up his shot, spending more time eyeing Eddie down. Wiggling his ass invitingly in the air every time he hit the cue ball. Eddie was completely hard and leaking by the time they both had four balls left; he had to commend Harrington for his restraint. "You are such a shit, Stevie." Eddie groaned as he picked up the 8 ball and stuffed it into the socket, throwing the game. Eddie wanted to wipe the smug smile of victory right off Steve's face, but he was too busy lifting Steve up onto the pool table, sending the rest of the balls flying, hands fisted in Steve's jeans. "C'mon Eddie, don't be a sore loser." Harrington said smugly. Eddie unbuckled Steve's belt and was pleased to find him such as hard. Kneeling down, he smirked up at Steve. "Oh trust me, big boy, this is one thing I never lose at."

Q is for: Queen. Late nights sitting in Eddie's van out by the quarry, high as a kite, listening to Eddie's Queen mixtape. Steve likes the music, but he loves that Eddie enjoys it more. He loves watching Eddie relax and sing along to his favourites, and he caves when Eddie drags him up to dance. Queen is almost always featured on any one of Eddies mixtapes. Steve loves those quiet nights.

R is for: Rings. Steve didn't think it was possible to be turned on by rings, but god, do they ever. Those rings attached to those hands get Steve hot under the collar. It doesn't help that he know where those rings have been, that he knows what their cold chill feels like against his heated skin. And Eddie, the little shit, knows exactly what wearing those rings does to Steve, goddamnit.

S is for: Stevie. Steve isn't sure when Eddie started calling him 'Stevie', but he loves it. It makes him melt inside. It feels like Eddie is claiming him in some sense. Steve loves is when Eddies moans 'Stevie' when Steve has hit a particularly good spot. He loves it when Eddie whispers it hot and sharp in his ear, between thrusts. He loves it when its the first thing Eddie says when he wakes up. Steve won't let anyone else call him that.

T is for: Turtlenecks. Eddie shouldn't find Steve wearing turtlenecks hit but he does. He's not sure if it's the domesticity of it, looking so much like a DILF, or if it's because Eddie knows Steve wears them to cover all the hickeys. Either way, Eddie's not sorry that Steve wears them.

U is for: Underwear. Steve was wearing the most ridiculous silky boxers Eddie had ever seen. They were a dark grey and they barely covered the most important parts, in fact, if Eddie could get Steve to open his legs a little wider... Steve coughed and Eddie jumped, caught red handed. "Pay attention to the movie, Munson." Steve smirked as Eddie rolled his eyes. It was a hot autumn night and Steve was being a tease, inviting him over to watch some corny action filled cop movie whilst tormenting Eddie with those tiny little scraps he called underwear. He crossed his arms, determined to play out Steve's little game. "Want a drink?" Steve asked a few moment later. Eddie nodded and Steve got up from the couch with a groan, taking the opportunity to stretch obscenely in front of Eddie, his arms stretched high above his head making those minuscule shorts slip down further. Eddie lost his composure when Steve bent down to touch his toes, ass practically in Eddies face. He grabbed Steve around the waist and hauled him onto the couch so he was lying face down over Eddie's lap. "Christ, Stevie. Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" Eddie growled. Steve huffed, trying to get up, but Eddie kept him across his knees. "Well, duh!" Harrington mumbled. Eddie grinned, a finger tracing the line of the underwear where it met the back of Steve's thigh, goosebumps breaking out across Steve's skin. He moved to gently caress the swell of his sweet ass, grinning as Steve moaned. "You're about to find out exactly what happens when you tease me, Harrington."

V is for: Vest. Eddie had thrown his battle-vest at Steve to get him to cover up, because he looked cold, and for the sake of modesty, certainly not because of that ridiculous thicket of chest hair. No, Eddie certainly didn't want him to cover it up because it turned him on and he wanted to feel it. After all was said and done, Eddie hadn't realised that Steve had kept his battle-vest until he showed up one night at a party big enough that no one knew Eddie's name. He spotted the familiar patches and called out to Harrington. "Suits you, Harrington." Steve had brought it with the intentions of giving it back but Eddie insisted he keep it. Eddie had trouble keeping his eyes off Steve that night. Since then, he's had Steve keep the vest, and only the vest, on whilst they've fucked. Eddie's favourite vest and his favourite person all in one? Perfection.

W is for: Whisper. They both have nightmares; Steve's never really stopped, just became less frequent, and then weird shit just had to start happening again and dredged it all back up for Steve. One of the first nights he and Eddie had camped out, before they were together, Steve had woken up screaming, sweat slick. He didn't usually have those bad nightmares anymore, but this time he could swear he was back in those tunnels. He sat up from the bed on the van, back a little stiff. He wiped his face and startled a little to find the doors open and Eddie sitting on the end, smoking. "You have them too?" Eddie whispered, the air tense. Steve scooted down to sit next to Eddie, sighing deeply. "I can still see her, hanging there in the air, her arms and legs...God, it was so fucked up." Eddie whispered brokenly, taking a deep drag of his cigarette. "Yeah, that place is full of horrors." Steve whispered back, not wanting to break the tension. Eddie looked at him then, big brown eyes wide and full of tears. "Shit Harrington, to think of how many times you've been through it...man..." Eddie shook his head, snubbing out the butt on the bumper. He looked up at the stars, quiet for a moment. "Does it ever get better, Steve?" Eddie said, turning to face him again. Steve lost himself in Eddie's eyes, their warm depth and the vulnerability. "I can't say for sure if it gets better, Eddie, but what I do know is; you're not alone." Steve whispered. Eddie stared into Steve's eyes, seemingly satisfied with that answer, he nodded. "Neither are you, Steve, neither are you."  Eddie whispered. They sat like that, the two of them together underneath the stars with their shared pains, their hands so close they were almost touching. That became their thing, after a nightmare, in the depths of the night, to whisper to one another; "You're not alone."

X is for: XXX. Eddie had rented porn for them to watch once, some pretty kinky shit but Steves standards, though Eddie didn't seem to blanch at any of it. It kinda put Steve on edge. Steve admitted later that none of the other guys really did anything for him, they weren't bad, but they weren't Eddie. When Eddie asked Steve if there was anything he'd like to try, Steve didn't really think of much, until he though that perhaps Eddie wanted to try some things out. Once he started picturing Eddie as the one in the video handcuffing the other person to the table, handcuffing Steve, he nodded. Eddie's smirk was wicked. A trip out of Hawkins later, they came home with handcuffs, blindfolds, paddle boards, nipple clamps (of which Steve was still a little unsure of) and a gag. Watching Eddie in the store looking over all the items had ignited a low burning flame, deep inside of Steve. The first night they tried anything, it was with the handcuffs. To see Eddie like that, clothed in nothing but his ripped denim jeans, long hair undone, chest flushed, breathing fast, and those eyes. God. Steve could lose himself in Eddie's eyes on a regular day, but when he was in that Dom headspace, it did something else entirely to Steve. It was still Eddie, just, more. Needless to say, sex between them is never dull, and Steve is always learning something new.

Y is for: Year. After all the craziness of Vecna and Eddie's supposed 'serial killing' (for which he cleared of and declared innocent, curtesy of their handy secret agencies), Eddie finally graduated in the class of 1986. Eddie had invited Robin, Vickie and Steve along to the graduation ceremony and he was glad he did. He had to laugh when Eddie finally received his diploma and kissed it, then promptly flipping his teachers off and making his way smugly down the stage. They met up with Eddie later on, after he'd ditched the awful gown in a bin somewhere and had his diploma tucked under his arm. "What'd I tell you guys, huh! Year of eighty six!" Eddie whooped. It had been both a collective effort from the school board and the government to have Eddie Munson graduated and preferably out of the public eye, come to think of it, Steve was a little surprised that none of them had been relocated this time, and the town of Hawkins just seemed to swallow the return of Hopper and the clearing of Eddie's name pretty damn well.

Z is for: Zodiac. Eddie has caught Steve reading up on their horoscopes in trashy magazines a few times. Steve is a Leo, and Eddie, is a Taurus. Apparently, they're a imperfect match. Eddie called it bullshit and read the description for Taurus. "They have a strong desire for extravagance, contentment, and great things, which can lead to intense neediness. Steve, I am not needy!" Eddie complained. Steve snorted, brow raised. "You sure about that?" he questioned, gesturing to Eddie who was currently straddling Steve's lap (because Steve wasn't giving Eddie enough attention, Steve would say.) Eddie huffed, arms crossed. Steve laughed at his cross face. "What!?" Eddie demanded. "Nothing!" Steve said. Eddie read on, "PRONE TO ANGER?!?! I AM-" Eddie cut himself off, moving off a chuckling Steve. "C'mon babe, it not that bad, theres good stuff in there too." Steve plucked the mag from Eddies hands. "See, the Taurus is determined, they appreciate integrity and they are devoted and sincere in their relationships." Steve said, following Eddie as he marched up the stairs to Steve's room. "Oh, determined. Thats just another word for stubborn!" Eddie exclaimed, plopping himself onto Steve's bed. Steve sat the magazine down beside Eddie and braced his hands on Eddie's knees, leaning in for a kiss. Eddie dodged the kiss and Steve groaned. "C'mon, don't let a simple little star sign get you upset...my parents aren't home all weekend..." Steve suggested. He leaned in again and moved Eddie's hair aside, pressing warm kisses along Eddies neck, teeth grazing his ear. "Well, what does it have to say about Leos then?!" Eddie demanded. Steve wasn't quick enough to snatch up the magazine before Eddie. He sighed and flopped face first onto the bed as Eddie paced the room. "Leo's crave attention, ha! They can be self-centered and they feel offended when the attention isn't on them! Shit, offended! Hahah!" Eddie laughed manically. Steve frowned up at him from the bed. "Hey, I very much do not crave attention and I certainly don't get offended when I'm ignored." Steve got up and prised the magazine from Eddie, who looked at him with his brow raised. Steve rolled his eyes; "Okay, maybe a little offended, but I'm a changed man." He pouted. "Face it Steve, according to your astronomy, we're doomed." Eddie hung his head. Steve rolled his eyes at the dramatics. "Astrology, babe. Also," Steve flicked through the zodiacs. "You are actually an Aries, numb-nuts, which is perfectly compatible with its fellow Fire Sign, Leo. Aries are passionate, bold and confident." Steve explained. Eddie's head snapped up, eyes wide. "What?! Where does it say that?" Eddie reached for the magazine, but Steve was quicker this time "Oh no you don't. We are done with this stupid argument." Steve dodged around Eddie and whipped open the window, flinging the magazine out into the back yard. Eddie popped into the frame next to him and watched as it floated down into the pool. "Steve! What did you do that for?!" Steve pulled Eddie away from the window, incase he tried to go fetch the stupid thing and shut it. Steve rolled his eyes. "I thought you said all that Zodiac stuff was bullshit!" Steve said. "It was interesting!" Eddie said, exasperated. Steve laughed. "Y'know what'd be really interesting? Your dick, in my ass, as it should have been ten minutes ago." Steve deadpanned. Eddie seemed to have short circuited for a moment, then his slow, wicked, signature smirk appeared on his face. Steve groaned. Finally! "Y'know what, Stevie, that really does sound interesting." Steve grinned and raced Eddie to unbuckle his belt.
