Chapter Text
Waking up was a little strange today. Everything feels the same but with a serious sense of deja vu. I look out my window and see darkness, so I can go back to sleep and wait for my alarm, the night goes by with a blink.
Waking up was a little strange today, sunlight burning my eyes as I blink up at my window. My alarm hasn't gone off yet.
___________
The trip to the bathroom was the same. My mom is sleeping in the other room, dad working in the basement, my older brother playing video games before work. Just like any other day.
While washing my hands, was when I noticed it. My phone is open and playing videos, wireless earbuds keeping out the sounds of running water and my brother's yelling. Monotonous until I look in the mirror for the first time this morning.
All I could see was a thick, red liquid dripping down my face in rivets, bloody tears and mucus like some kind of cheesy horror film. I wanted to scream, but I was quiet, like I couldn't breathe-!
All in a blink, gone. And I can breathe again.
What the fuck?

Curling up on the couch was a daze of movement and blurry vision. The video was still playing on my phone, until I decided that the noise isn't helping me all that much. Pulling up Chrome I made to type in hallucinations and its causes before I realized that a tab group just up and disappeared. I had it open for Devil May Cry fandom and fanfiction. It was new for me, and when I get into new fandoms, I inhale every tidbit of information I can find about it, the fanfiction is there to make me feel better about the stuff I find.
Googling it all over again would have been a hassle, but then I couldn't find it again anywhere . Just gone, poof , never existed.
Waking up was a little strange today, and now I know why.
I just slept into an alternate dimension!
