Work Text:
It's been two days since he ran. Ran away from a horrible place, a place wanting to murder his children. Nightmares of failing kept him awake. But tonight it wasn't the nightmares keeping him up. It was the horrible tears of his children.
No matter what he tried the moment one baby would stop another would start. He hated not being able to quiet their cries. He wishes he could snap his fingers and make whatever caused his ade to wail disappear. There were too many ade for him to care for alone but he signed up for this. He was going to handle it alone. Neither Boba or Arla was crying nor were any of the alpha batch or the CC's. From bed he pulled himself up and when to the cargo. It took a minute but he quickly found the crying children, CT-5555 or Fives. The little boy was wailing his head off and setting his twin CT-1409 or Echo, affectionately named for his echoing of his twin, off. Picking both boys up and hushing their cries. Despite his best effort their wails did not cease. Instead the turn to his chest and began whimpering and mouthing at his shirt. Bringing them to the corner to the lone rocking chair, set them down in his lap.
The warm breast milk and soft rocking did the trick and their cries stopped. He rocked back and forth while they drank their fill. Fives's tiny hand was pushing at his breast, a cute attempt at drawing more milk from him. It might work, somehow over the last two days his milk production had increased at an alarming rate. Trying to keep up with the demand of his children.
AZI, the medical droid he stole, said that his biology could make this happen. Make it so he was able to lactate but he wasn't expecting to produce so much. But that was part of being an omega. He hated most things about his biology. The heats, the stereotypes, and until recently his chest. It was always softer than an alpha's or even a beta's, a constant reminder of the thing he couldn't change. But then he got Boba, then Arla, then Rex and Cody, Wolffe, Ponds, Grey, and Hunter. His ade. Now it's become the most important part of him. It provides for his children, the tiny babies and toddlers that need him. To tiny to walk or talk. They need him, they need their buir. They literally can't survive or live without him. Even the unborn children. When they come they won't survive unless he's there. They can't be born without him. He doesn't have the fancy technology that Kaminoans had but he has his body. AZI says that will do. His womb, the thing he was always told could never bare children, will. The one thing he hated most, for it could never do the one it was suppose to could finally bare life. AZI said it was able to implant the embryos inside his uterus and that he could grow them himself. He had gone off suppressants when he got Boba and Arla so he could feed them. AZI said that he only needed to go through heat to awaken his womb and then they could start the implanting process.
Pulled from his thoughts by a tiny peep from Fives signaling he's done. They little boy and unlatched from his nipple but was still tucked to his breast. Raising him to his shoulder pat his back until he gave a tiny burp while his twin finished. When both were done he gently placed them in their bassinet, as they refused to be separated. He left his shirt off as he climbed back in bed. It was pointless to replace the article of clothing as AZI would likely pump milk or place children at his breast to feed while he slept. As well as it being easier to get up and feed if no barriers were in the way. Plus less laundry if his milk didn't leak and stain his shirt.
