It was a normal day for the owl house gang. Willow and Gus were talking to each other while Amity and Luz were being so lovey dovey that Gus and Willow were ignoring them.
As Gus and Willow are talking, Gus stops as he remembers something. “Hey Luz, I wanted to ask you a question.” Gus then pulls out a magazine with a headline saying, London is making renovation to Big Ben. “I wanted to ask what is London and what is Big Ben, is he some sort of large human” Gus asked curiously.
Luz giggled at Gus’s question. No Gus, London is a city, and big ben is a giant clock tower that has been part of their city for centuries.I’ve actually always wanted to see it but I never got a chance.” Luz then sighs as she reminisces.
Willow gave Luz a confused look, she then grabbed the magazine and looked at the pictures. “Why didn’t you ever go? From what I can tell it seems nice.”
“It’s because it's too far away, just one plane ticket over there is around 1,000 dollars, not to mention London is considered to be an expensive city.” Luz sighed as she remembered her mom telling them they couldn’t afford to take the trip and take so many days off.
Amity then looks at her girlfriend and asks a question. “ I'm not sure what the dollars are and they’re exchange rate, but how far is it? Is it like the distance of the titan’s head to the titan’s toes.
Luz pondered that question.” I'm not sure, you guys have miles here, right?.”
‘Yeah, of course we do Luz.” willow responded
Luz then takes her phone out and starts typing. “Okay according to google from where i live, London is over 5,000 miles away”. Amity instantly does a spit take and starts choking after hearing Luz's statement while Gus and Willow are in complete shock.
As Amity regains her composure she looks at Luz. “How could it be that far away, that distance, it’s, it’s, it’s bigger than the titan .”
Willow then looks at Luz. “Luz, how big is your titan?” Willow asked this slightly worried.
Luz then thinks to herself how she is going to explain the earth's continents. “Okay how do I explain this, you see earth doesn’t just have one titan.'' The Hexside gang gave Luz a confused look when she said this. “we don’t have any to be honest.'' This notion made the Hexside gang even more confused. “but at the begin of time, our world had a giant piece of land made of dirt, rock, and etc name Pangea” This still made the Hexside gang confused but even more interested after hearing this. “but due to many reason it started to break apart creating a bunch of small little islands and giant pieces of land we call continents.” this put the entire Hexside group in shock, the idea that something could break apart and it pieces would form island was absurd, cause they can never picture that happening to the titan, but before they could even speak Luz continues with her explanation. “some of these continents being hundred of thousand of miles wide.” this notion made the Hexside gang aw struck, they knew Luz wouldn’t lie to them so the idea that her realm is massive was surprising. What they didn’t know is that they don’t know the half of it. “Which isn’t that special since if i remember correctly, before it broke apart Pangea was almost 100 million wide.” As Luz finished her explanation she can only stare as she realizes her friend are staring her with complete shock.
Amity then proceed to grab Luz shoulder. “Luz do you by any chance have a map or something so we can compare the isle to your realm?” Amity asked as if desperately hoping luz is over exaggerating.
Luz look at her girlfriend worriedly. “ she then proceed to reach into her pouch and pull a map of the United States out.” The Hexside gang crowded around it.
Luz then proceed to look around around the map. Before pointing to smile little area of it. “If I had to guess i would say the boiling isles is a little bit bigger than Vermont. Which is only slightly bigger than my home Connecticut. "Luz continue pointing at Vermont without care of the world. As she turn to look at her amazing girlfriend she say her face clouded with fear. “Amity are you okay?” Luz asked only to fall on deaf ears.
Amity just stared at the map as she thought to herself. Is Luz’s really that big, no that impossible but with it is, then that would mean the titan is nothing compared to Luz’s home, it as if the titan the size of water droplet when earth is an entire lake. She was broken out of her inner monologue by Luz’s beautiful voice.
“Amity are okay, you went so silent. It was starting to scare me” Luz look at her girlfriend with worried eyes.
Amity just smiled. “I’m okay Luz just a little surprised” Amity glances at the map again, still trying to process this new and surprising information.
But the others were having different idea, That's when Gus looked up at Luz.” “hey Luz, if you don’t mind me asking just how many people live on earth?” this question made Amity expression change to worry as she look at her girlfriend.
Luz places her hand on her chin for a second. “I think about eight billion, give or take a couple hundred million.” Gus then proceeds to pass out. “Is he okay?” Luz asked worriedly but Amity and Willow couldn’t hear Luz.
