Chapter Text
“We are here!”
“Huh... Tokyo Tower?!”
Aesop just smiled and pulled Eli’s hand, guiding him inside.
It has been a wild week for Eli. College has been stressful lately, with a lot of projects and group assignment, he didn’t have many opportunities to meet Aesop since they were in different major. Late night calls and quick lunch together was not sufficient at all for Eli, honestly speaking.
So when Aesop waited for him in front of his last class today, Eli was more than ready to left everything behind and let Aesop bring him to wherever he wanted to go. It is just, he really didn’t expect Aesop to bring him to Tokyo Tower.
“How do you know? I never told you-“
“I heard from Mike. You were talking with him about wanting to go out somewhere that has a nice view, right? It’s your birthday, so of course I decided to give you a surprise.” Aesop smiled.
“What- Oh! I completely forgot about my birthday!” Eli laughed.
“I know. I told the other not to say anything until I picked you up from class. They must have sent you a lot of birthday message by now. They have been itching all day.”
Eli checked his phone immediately and found that some messages had coming while he was busy talking with Aesop the whole way. He would read and reply to each one of them later, for now he wanted to focus solely to Aesop.
“Aesop...” Eli couldn’t find his word. He was so happy and surprised and excited and everything that he felt he could burst from all the joy he felt right now. “I-...”
“You’re welcome, Eli.” Aesop said before Eli could finish his sentence.
Eli’s smile got wider, and his cheek got pink because Aesop clearly understand what he meant, even without him saying it out loud. He felt his inside getting warm because the way Aesop called his name. Eli couldn’t explain what it was exactly that made he felt awfully good whenever Aesop called his name. Maybe it was how soft he said it. Maybe it because Eli felt so much love from it. Or maybe he just loves how special it made him feel. Eli just loved the sounds of his name in Aesop’s voice. It never gets old no matter how many times he did it.
“Welcome to Tokyo Tower. May I see your tickets gentleman?” The lady who stood in front of the entrance welcomed them warmly.
Aesop handed her their ticket.
“I see. Two VIP tickets for two. You can go straight in, no need to wait. Thank you for visiting Tokyo Tower, hope you enjoy your time.” She smiled and waved.
“Aesop? VIP?” Eli looked at Aesop in confusion.
“I wanted you to have the best time possible.” Aesop said.
“You really don’t have to.” Eli said. “I would still have the best with you even with the regular ticket you know.”
“I know. But I want to.”
Eli felt this overwhelming urge to just hug and kiss Aesop right here and then, but he held himself back. Instead he squeezed Aesop’s hand and hope that he could somewhat convey a fragment of the love he felt right now.
“Okay! Let’s go and enjoy our VIP ticket to the fullest!” Eli said cheerfully and this time, he was the one who pulled Aesop to start their little exploration.
