Work Text:

Sansa woke up and laid in their bed.  Sandor must have been long up given how cold his side of the bed was.  She listened to the soft noises in the house.  The quiet was broken by some soft exclamations of “Dumbass”, “Shit” and “Fuck does this look good.”.  She chuckled as they continued with several other curse words on and off for a few more minutes.

“Best parenting hack ever.”  She whispered to herself quietly as she got up, putting her robe on and slippers.  She did her usual wake up routine before quietly making her way to the kitchen.

“Good morning momma.”  Connor told her sweetly, holding a mug of coffee made just the way she liked it.

“Good morning Connor.  Did you make this or did dad?”  She said sipping it to find it perfectly made.

“Dad did but told me to wait to give it to you while he rounded up Riley, Noah and Ciarán.”  He said proudly as she hugged him to her side and gave him a kiss on the head. “We’ve been cleaning up around the house too.  I think we got most of it.”

“I thought I must have heard some of that going on.”  Sansa said smiling with a laugh.  Sansa sat down on a stool by the kitchen island and sipped her coffee.  Sandor came in a few minutes later with their 3 other sons.

“Good morning, babe and my lil babies.”  She said to Sandor and her sons that were used to her calling them her babies.

“Good morning Mom.”  They told her each with a kiss to her cheek.

“Good morning my little bird.”  Sandor told her with a gentle kiss.  “I think all the chores got done that you needed.”  He said proudly as Ciarán came over with a mug of coffee for Sandor.

“Thanks C.”  He said before taking a sip.

“I think you have all earned a free day to do video games or read or whatever for the rest of the morning and then we can all go to that movie you all wanted to see this afternoon and have pizza for dinner.  So be ready to go at about 2.”  Sansa said with a smile as her boys thanked their parents and hugged them. They scattered through the house.  Sandor had downed his mug quickly and refilled their mugs as they went over to the four season room and sat down on the daybed amongst Sansa’s plants.

“That was the best parenting idea.”  Sansa said as they relaxed together.

“I agree 100%.”  Sandor said holding her with one arm and sipping his coffee with the other.

Sansa had seen someone online that had said that they got their kids to help clean and enjoy it by allowing them to say a curse word every 7-10 toys they picked up.  Sansa had taken that and run with it.  She appreciated that Sandor worked very hard to help them all have plenty and not need anything.  She actually loved his cursing and knew it would be hard for him to cut that out.  She had reassured him that she loved it and was fine with it, going him sometimes.  Ciarán loved being able to say one of “Daddy’s words” when he cleaned up his playroom.  Riley, Connor and Noah had come after and took to being happy to help clean and pick up like Ciarán had.  All of her boys enjoyed having things be organized and clean.  They also enjoyed that it was an opportunity to curse with no consequences.  Most of their friends adored visiting at the Clegane house since they’d have that opportunity too.   Many of those friend’s parents had asked what their secret was and Sandor and Sansa told them honestly.  A few of therm tried it out too and were surprised how effective it was.

“So we might be able to have an hour or so to ourselves…”  She started.

“I think we can find a way to pass the time.”  Sandor said with a lusty gaze at Sansa.  They got up and placed their empty coffee mugs in the dishwasher.  They passed the kids on their way back up to their bedroom.

“Play safe. We’ll be upstairs if you need us.”  Sansa said as Sandor gently pulled her along.

“Ok!”  They all yelled back as the door to the master suite was closed behind Sansa and Sandor and locked.  The boys had zero intention off needing anything to interrupt their parents time together.  If Ciarán or Riley couldn’t figure it out, it could wait.
