OMG. You got their voices SO WELL in the songs. I just can't even do anything but flail, even after listening to it twice. (Flower's warbly 'don't cry for me' was. so. good.) And yes, I am 100% sure some horrible techno music ended up in G's songs, off and on, he's lucky no one else knew what he was saying. THANK YOU, I think I have to listen again, I'm so happy.

  I'm sure some intrepid teammates must have felt curious and shazam'ed Geno's singing right? Or at least the cameras would have caught some of Geno's in game singing XD Ooooh, maybe there's some fan tumblrs/blogs dedicated to all the songs sung at Sid they could find footage of?

    Oh, yeah, people were constantly trying to figure it out. (someone probably kept a list of every song) I like to think tumblr was on the case, trying to lip-read what was being sung and looking for streams where they could hear some of it. Trying to get translations for what G was singing (which usually amounted to: hey that's my bae, leave him alooooone)

I giggled the entire way to work this morning, omg. The SINGING. Your performance was so great: the way you read Flower and his fondness for Sid, and Geno's intense and giddy relief at the end, and Kuni's exasperated TELL HIM just slayed me. And of course, Sid. I love the way you read Sid, in all your podfics. So, so great. <333

holy goddamn you deserve a medal for recording this good hEAVENS. I haven't laughed this hard at a podfic in a while, and serious kudos for being brave enough to sing all the different songs!! Specific mention must go to your Ovechkin moment. Singing that ridiculous song. Like a hockey player. WITH AN ACCENT. I bow down to your skills almighty one. Greatly enjoyable to listen to, could not have asked for more, I adore how you read the crack + feels combo. [throws medals at you]

I'm a big fan of reading the funnies, as you may have guessed, and it's a great relief when other people find it entertaining ;) I don't know if I would call it bravery, but I had fun - in hindsight it was probably a missed opportunity to multivoice and recruit people to sing the various songs!     It did - you're comedic timing is literally perfect - as is your Sid voice. I really loved his stoic patience with the entire thing - like just in the way you read his voice, I could hear his long-suffering tolerance of all the craziness around him - which I think is exactly what the author was going for. I have no idea why this tiny little fandom of Hockey RPF has such an abundance of EXCELLENT podficers, but omg, the podfic quality in Hockey RPF is just outstanding. I mean, you, exmanhater, knight_tracer just to name a few.

      Like in all things, I think one podficcer got into Hockey RPF and then pulled everyone else down with them XD It's a good result for everyone! (?)
      My take on Sid is that he's a guy who grimly accepts everything that comes his way, all "Well, I guess this is happening now". And, ugh, he's so super considerate! He's a challenging character to voice, so I love it when it's juxtaposed in such a crack-y situation. Thank you for the compliment! I do enjoy reading humour :D

I honestly didn't expect you to sing the songs, so kudos for that, you brave soul! XD I did crack up at poor Flower's warbling his song, but Potash was surprisingly sweet! And of course, my favourite: Ovi + the booty song and the perfect "Thank Christ" Sid hisses between his teeth, aaah, so perfect! And let's not forget poor Jack, sadly (and hilariously) into Sid OMG!

  Being silly and singing the songs was definitely a major contributing reason for making the podfic, so I am super happy you enjoyed it XD ovie's part seems to be a big hit, unsurprisingly, but yay, I'm super glad Potash came off sweet, especially as I had to youtube the song since I hadn't heard it before (I think I had to do that for a third of the songs actually). What fun! This has a lot of great moments - but the best one is "I'M HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO" and Sid's somehow both flattered and resigned musings about how everyone is gay for his ass. I laughed very hard. Great performance, as always!

I was so excited when I saw that you had posted this because singing! In a podfic! Yay! :D I cracked up at Come And Get It and then just...didn't stop. I'm glad no one could see me in my car because it was all giddy laughter all the way. Your reading and your delivery, as always, were absolutely delightful, and I am so impressed that you took on this fic with all those songs.
My timing was kind of bad, because I arrived at work before the podfic was over, so I had to sit somewhat awkwardly in the parking lot, not wanting to have to take an agonizing 8-hour break from listening just as it was getting to the confession scene. The way you sang as Sid at the end, all awkward and hesitant, gave me all of the feelings and was possibly my favourite bit out of everything. <3

  I really appreciate the feedback about Sid's bit at the end ♥ I was concerned because I felt like I kept the singing too in key for him lol, but believe it or not, I felt MORE awkward saying the lyrics than singing them - something to do with music association I suppose, that helps carry along meaning when words alone don't feel quite right? Anyway, I'm really happy you enjoyed how that particular scene played out! Yay!

Hahaha oh my god, this is amazing!!! You did such a good job with the singing, I'm so impressed! I think my favourite part was actually sid singing to geno at the end, and how you were able to differentiate him dining for real vs the cursed singing.
