Catch up, Got No Time to Catch My Breath

Summary:

Willie was still partly surprised when he opened the door and Alex came stumbling in.

"Woah, what happened?" Willie said as he caught his shoulders to steady him.

"Nothing," Alex said with a sniffle, shrugging. His voice sounded hoarse and his eyes were kind of unfocused.

"Are you okay?" Willie asked again, looking him over.

"I'm fine, everything's fine," he said, waving his hand in dismissal as he walked further inside and sat on the couch.

Willie looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Are you sick?"

"What? No, I’m a Shadowhunter!" Alex looked at him as if personally offended by the question.

"You can be both, you know," Willie said with a small smile. No, this was serious, he shouldn’t smile. Even if Alex was kinda cute.

Work Text:

Willie sat down on the couch, finally able to relax while he scrolled down his phone. The apartment was the only place he actually felt like he could be himself these past couple of weeks. He was supposed to be there for everyone else and he was willing to do as much - he knew of the responsibilities he'd taken over when he'd become the Alpha and if the pack was gonna be in mourning, their leader had to stay aware. The pack took priority over his own feelings.

But then he got to go home and just be. He didn’t have to pretend to be fine for everyone else, present a strong front, no it was his one time during the day where he could be just as sad and miserable as they all were.

The fact was that Willie hadn’t lost many people, not in the pack at least. He remembered a few deaths when he was younger, before he’d even taken over as Alpha - not that they were their previous' Alpha fault, many things lurked in the night and sometimes you were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Just like Robbie had been.

It was weird. Willie subconsciously knew that this wasn’t on him, that he couldn’t actually follow every member of the pack home to make sure they got back okay, but that didn’t mean he didn’t feel guilty. He was their leader, wasn’t he supposed to keep them safe?

And so of course he’d moved on to destroy the one good thing he had in his life - his relationship. How could he even blame Alex for this? He’d tried. He’d run over the minute Nicole had called him. He’d been doing everything in his power to help. And Willie had thrown it back at his face.

Alex hadn't held a grudge. He should have, but he didn’t. He understood why Willie had taken it out on him and all he’d done for these past two weeks was be there for him just so he wasn't going through this alone. Even though he had other things to take care of too. And Willie had told him, he didn’t want him to put his life on hold for him, but Alex of course hadn’t listen and Willie was kind of grateful for it.

And then a few days later the news had hit them like a truck. David hadn't been acting alone. Honestly, it made sense, but Willie didn’t even want to go there. Alex said that LA was clear and the operation had been going well They’d found almost everyone involved, but it was still terrifying to think about. He knew Shadowhunter - Downworlder relations weren’t one hundred percent perfect, but he thought these kind of things didn’t really happen anymore, they'd moved past it. Apparently there were always people out there who had a different opinion.

Things were going better though, slowly getting back to normal. The bar was closed today and Alex didn’t have to go on patrol which meant he’d be home sooner than normal and really he could use a break too - he’d been pushing himself a bit too much with everything going on.

It wasn’t until a bit later that he heard noise coming outside the front door. He deemed it as 'noise' because it reminded him more of someone trying to break in rather than unlock the door.

He looked at it confused and when nothing happened for a couple more seconds, he got up and went over there. Heighten senses were a blessing because he could tell who was standing outside, but he was still partly surprised when he opened the door and Alex came stumbling in.

"No, we don’t get sick," he said through a stuffy nose. "I don’t get sick." Well, to be honest, Willie had never seen him sick for as long as he knew him. Which was weird because he’d seen him hurt so many times, a simple cold had never crossed his mind. He was pretty sure they had runes for that anyway.

"You did seem a bit off this morning now that I think about it..." Willie said as he came closer and sat next to him, one leg bent in front of him so he could face Alex.

"I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Because I’m fine," Alex said and his body decided to betray him as he started coughing at the end of the sentence.

"Are you sure it’s not because of the fever?" Willie asked.

"I don’t have a fever," he said. Okay, had he always been so stubborn or was this a sick thing?

"I can feel the heat radiating off of you," Willie deadpanned.

"Okay, that sounds like an exaggeration," Alex pointed out as he moved to get up, standing shakily on his own two feet. "Now, I’m gonna go change and we can carry on with the day as we normally would. Because I’m-" he was cut off by a sneeze.

"Fine?" Willie provided.

"Are you making fun of me?" Alex almost whined. Okay, he seriously needed to go lie down for several hours.

Willie gave him an apologetic smile. "I’m sorry. Look, go get changed, I’ll make something to eat, okay?"

"Okay," Alex said quietly with another sniffle as he disappeared inside the bedroom.

Willie walked into the kitchen debating how he could bypass Alex's stubbornness not to necessarily make him admit he was sick, but at least get him to rest. It was times like this Willie believed he should read more into Shadowhunters. He knew the basics, even what some of the runes meant and did, but he still felt there were gaps on certain issues.

Then again if you took the runes away Alex was practically a mundane. Or well, a highly trained Nephilim warrior, but still, part mundane. Which meant unless there was a rune that instantly killed the virus, chicken soup still worked here. Willie may be particularly lazy when it came to cleaning and doing the dishes, but damn it he could cook.

Before he could even start on anything, he heard a soft thump from inside. He quietly moved over to the bedroom to find Alex sleeping curled up on his side of the bed, wearing his hoodie and still somehow shivering. Willie grabbed a blanket from the closet, ignoring the seraph blade in the back - and distantly wondering when finding random weapons around the apartment stopped surprising him - and threw it over him. Alex sighed as he drew it in closer to him, making Willie smile slightly.

The soup could wait until tomorrow. He would probably be better anyway.

Willie was one hundred percent wrong.

Alex had spent the whole night tossing and turning which meant Willie hadn’t really slept either and he could only be grateful that werewolves couldn’t really get sick. He’d given up after he was able to see some kind of light breaking in through the curtains. It wasn’t like he felt all that tired, these past few days had been passing by very slowly, he hadn’t been doing much. Honestly, taking care of Alex now was the least he could do after everything Alex had done for him these couple of weeks.

Speaking of which, after some time had passed and Willie deemed it an acceptable hour to interact with people, he got up and went in the living room wanting to at least give Alex a few minutes of peace. He took out his phone, looking through his contacts and called Luke. Alex was stubborn enough to wake up and get ready to go to the Institute.

"Yes?" Luke answered after a few seconds sounding exhausted.

"Did I wake you?" Willie asked.

"I wish," Luke said with a yawn. "What’s up? No, wait, don’t tell me - Alex is sick."

"Yes, actually."

"Yeah, so is Julie, Reg and Carrie. I’m gonna be honest, it’s not much fun," he said.

"Don't you have runes for this kind of thing? I’ve never even seen you sick before," Willie asked.

"Look, you don’t just draw a rune and all your problems are suddenly solved," Luke started. "Like, what are you gonna do with an iratze if they already have a fever, you know?"

"No..."

"Yeah, okay, that’s fair. Alex knows what to do, don’t worry. Just don’t break up with him, kay?" Luke said, casual as ever that Willie had to do a double take.

"What? Why would I break up with him?"

"Because Alex is unbearable when he’s sick. You could have spent a whole lifetime without having to go through that, but it’s too late now."

"So, other than your vague runes?" Willie asked, ignoring Luke’s dramatic tendencies.

"I don’t know, soup?" Luke suggested.

"Oh, you still do that, great."

"Yeah, dude, Shadowhunters are not as complicated as you think," he said with a chuckle. "Just get him to stop being stubborn and draw the runes and he’ll be fine in a couple of days."

"Have you ever tried to convince Alex he’s wrong about something he’s dead set on?" Willie said, fully aware of the answer and dreading what was to come.

Luke made a noise of agreement on the other end. "You wanted to move in together, now you have to pay the price."

"Yes, thank you, that’s what I wanted to hear," Willie said with a straight face and heard Luke laughing.

"Call if you have any other questions about the Nephilim. I’m always happy to share my wisdom," he said.

"It's a privilege to know you, really," Willie said.

"Thanks, I agree," Luke said. "Good luck!"

"You too," Willie said as he hung up.

He walked over to the kitchen and started making breakfast. And well, soup. He could convince Alex to take care of himself, that wasn't so hard. Alex was a sensible person. Well, when he could think clearly. He'd caught him a few times here and there saying that he forgot to eat because they had a lot of things to do in the Institute or there'd suddenly been a demon surge somewhere in LA. Let's just say Willie was glad some of Alex's friends were more responsible on that area and dragged him with them. Emphasis on some.

It wasn't until around half an hour later that he heard a groan from the bedroom. He was certain that Alex wouldn't actually try to get up and carry on with his day like everything was fine, but he also didn't trust his judgement right now.

He grabbed a stele from the bread pin - yes, there were steles everywhere and yes, Willie was a hundred percent unfazed after so long - and moved over to the bedroom. Alex had rolled over and burried his face in the pillow although it was clear he was awake. Willie put the stele in his hand and saw the adamas light up. It was weird how the little object completely changed use depending on who was holding it. For Willie it did literally nothing, for Alex it was everything. The man in question, however, didn't even move to acknowledge it.

"You're okay?" Willie asked as he sat down beside him on the bed.

A muffled hum of agreement came from Alex who still didn't move.

"Right, so I called Luke and turns out Julie, Reggie and Carrie are also sick, so maybe we can accept that and carry on from there?" he asked, hopeful that this would be the end of it.

Alex moved his head a little to the side so he could talk. "Even if I was sick," he started and his voice sounded worse than yesterday, "this wouldn’t do much." He closed his fingers around the stele to emphasize his point.

"Well, mundanes don’t have angelic magic on their side for colds, but they’re also pretty common and you’re going to be fine," Willie said with a small smile as he looked down at Alex who still had his eyes closed.

"You’re one to talk, you can’t even get sick," Alex grumbled.

"You’re more mundane than I am," Willie stated.

"Am not," Alex argued making him chuckle. "Don't laugh at my misery!" he added as he finally opened his eyes and looked up at him.

"What misery? I thought you were fine," Willie said with a raised eyebrow only just slightly amused.

"Just-" Alex gestured vaguely as he closed his eyes again, sinking deeper into his pillow. "Leave me alone in my non misery to wallow."

"Okay," Willie sighed and was about to get up to get him something to eat, when Alex's hand shot out and grabbed his wrist.

"Don't go," he said, his eyes snapping open with actual fear in them that he was going to leave.

"Alex," Willie said his voice equally fond and exasperated. "I was gonna go to the kitchen and back. But you’re really sending me mixed signals here."

"I’m having trouble putting my thoughts in order," Alex said without letting him go.

Willie shook his head. "I wonder why."

"It’s anyone's guess."

"Okay, I’m gonna stay, but you have to do something with this," Willie said, handing him back the stele from where it'd fallen on the bed.

"Fine," Alex said with a scowl, but actually took the stele and started drawing different shapes on his arm. For all Willie knew they meant nothing, but he trusted Alex enough to know he’d keep his word. Also to actually realize he was sick even though he was denying it. "Happy?"

"Very," Willie said with a smile as he leaned down and kissed him.

"You're really pushing your luck," Alex said just as Willie hovered above him.

"I can't get sick," Willie said with another peck. "But it's nice to know you can admit it to yourself."

"I'm not admitting anything," Alex stood his ground.

"Why not?" Willie asked him as he turned to lie next to him.

"Because I'm fine," he said. "You don't have to take care of me or anything."

"What?" Willie spoke before he could stop himself. This had sudddenly gone a very different way than what he'd expected and if anything he was genuinely confused.

"It's nothing," Alex quickly retreated as he looked away.

Willie couldn't just let that go though. "Alex, what's wrong?"

Alex sighed. Well, he tried to sigh and it came out as a cough because no matter what he said he was really sick, but anyway. "I just mean that you don't have to worry about me."

And that was when it clicked into place for Willie. Because Alex's number one priority was to not be a burden to anyone. He was trying to work on it and after so many years it wasn't really an issue because he knew he could count on Willie, but things were different right now. And yes, they'd talked about it, but had they actually talked about it?

"You have been taking care of me for two weeks now," he said.

"You have-" Alex started to say, but stopped to clear his throat. He still didn't sound good. "You have to take care of a whole pack. If this is the only place you can be yourself right now, then you should be able to feel whatever you want to feel."

"I'm choosing to believe that the fever is making you delirious, but I'm still going to say this, okay?" Willie looked at him, making sure he had his attention. "Just because I'm going through a hard time doesn't mean that you have to be fine all the time. I don't want you to hide things from me because you think you're not allowed to feel bad too. You've helped me so much, even when I wasn't fair to you."

"Grief does weird things to people sometimes..." Alex said quietly.

"Nevertheless, I shouldn't have taken it out on you and I'm really sorry about that."

"I told you, you don't have to say that."

"You're not the only stubborn guy here," Willie said, making Alex crack a smile. "Now, I don't know how runes work, but Luke said to give it a couple of days."

"Luke is unbearable when he gets sick," Alex said, pulling the blanket closer to him.

"He said the same thing about you."

"But you believe me because you love me?" Alex said, hopeful.

"I believe that Luke gets clingier than usual and you're going to pretend like nothing's happening until you try to walk and pass out," Willie deadpanned. He'd known Alex and his friends for a while now. It wasn't hard to make an educated guess.

"Maybe not even then," Alex said. Willie gave him an exasparated look that didn't do much, since Alex smiled back and turned away as he started coughing again.

"You're an idiot," Willie said, making him chuckle. "Now I'm gonna go into the kitchen and bring you some tea or some soup or something because you're steadily losing your voice and I like your voice."

Alex nodded his head with a yawn. "Okay."

Willie got up and went into the kitchen to make tea. The soup could wait until later. He was gone for five minutes at most, but when he came back Alex was already asleep again.

Willie breathed a laugh. "Good thing you're not sick," he murmured to himself and left the mug on the bedside table. He carefully lay back down beside him, trying not to wake him up and grabbed his phone. It was going to be a quiet day today.

"Alex, why is there a rock in the bathroom cabinet?" Willie walked into the bedroom, holding said rock.

Alex glanced at him from where he was staring at his phone, his face half buried in the pillow. "That's not a rock," he said.

"It's very clearly a rock," Willie insisted as he turned the object around in his hands.

Alex snorted, reaching his hand out, asking for the stone. The sun had set a little while ago, darkness slowly setting into the room since Alex hadn't loved the idea of turning on the lights. The second Willie gave him the rock and it made contact with his hand though, it lit up, illuminating the room.

"Witchlight," Alex said, his voice sounding somehow better after all the hot foods and beverages. Willie would never stop being impressed by how certain things just caught on light just because the right person was holding them. Or maybe it was just Alex and Willie loved everything he did.

"So this is part of the armory project? I hadn't seen it before," Willie said, taking the rock back and seeing how it dulled down back to... well, a rock.

"Yeah, I want to be ready. If you look well enough there's more stuff."

"Ready for what?" Willie asked, nearing exasperation.

"An emergency!"

The amount of times Willie had heard that was crazy, really. He could understand Alex wanting to be ready in case he had to go to the Institute or leave for patrol or anything related to being a Shadowhunter, really. He got that. Alex though had filled the place with daggers, seraph blades, steles, witchlights apparently - not that they took that much space, he'd somehow managed to conceal everything, Willie had to really look to find anything - like they were getting ready for a demon apocalypse. They'd been living together for two and a half years though and the emergency Alex kept repeating never came.

Alex's phone chimed with a new text and he looked back at it. He was reading something for a few seconds, his eyes widening slightly, his lips pulling up to a smile.

"What happened?" Willie asked, coming closer and sitting on the bed with one leg bent in front of him.

"It's from Luke. Diana just heard from the last team, she said they got them all this morning," he said, sounding disbelieving and astonished at the same time.

"All of them?" Willie asked, just as stunned himself. He didn't need any more clarifications, there was only one subject concerning everyone at this time and that was David and his psychopathic friends.

"Yeah, he-" Alex started to say when more texts came in. "Shit. Okay, yeah, that's on me for expecting Luke to say everything in one text. He says one got away in Spain, but they're looking."

"And that's got you down? Dude, we're talking about one person! This is literally the best news you could have gotten!"

"No, I know, I'm happy! I just wished it was over over. But no, I'm happy, I swear," he said and smiled.

Willie smiled back as he leaned down and kissed him again. "I love you," he said. "Even if you won't admit that you're sick."

"I love you too," Alex said. "And I'm not sick."

"Of course not."

"Just tired."

"Sure."

"It happens to the best of us."

"It's a cruel world."

Alex seemed slightly better by the time they went to sleep that night. Willie was pretty sure the runes played a big part in all of it, but honestly? He chose to believe it was the soup. He would probably be back out there in two days. The reality of the situation didn't excite Willie in the slightest, but they both had jobs to get back to and as nice as it was to spend lazy - or sick, but Alex wouldn't agree to that - days at home, they needed to get back to everything else.

Things weren't great for Willie, but they were better. The pack was starting to adjust as well. Losing one of your own was never easy, but moving on was essential. Everyone at their own pace, sometimes it took time and they weren't in a hurry to do anything. As long as everyone was safe, Willie was happy. And the fact that the nightmare was over - minus one person who wouldn't be able to get far away with Shadowhunters everywhere looking for them - really helped.

Alex fell asleep quickly, already too tired just like he'd been all day. It didn't take long for Willie to fall asleep too. Not because he was tired or mentally exhausted, no, for the first time in a while they'd had a - mostly - normal day. It was almost weird. Not bad, but definitely weird.

It wasn't until much later that Willie woke up, coughing. It had overcome him a bit too suddenly and it didn't seem to ease up. It didn't really make any sense though, because Willie couldn't get sick. Werewolves didn't get sick, not with a simple cold at least, it'd take something much, much stronger to take him out.

When he was finally able to breathe again, he realized something was wrong. He could feel a tightness in his chest and he knew he could smell something in the air, only he couldn't pinpoint what. Alex on the other hand rolled over a bit in his sleep, obviously having heard him, but still unbothered by whatever that was. Which also didn't make sense because someone was sick in this house and it wasn't Willie.

He got up and walked out of the room when another coughing fit hit him and he had to lean on the wall to steady himself. What the fuck was happening?

He followed the smell to the front door and even though he couldn't put a name to it he knew he was getting an awful sense of danger. There was something familiar in all of this.

The moment he reached the door, he stopped, startled.

Yes, it took something strong to take out a werewolf.

Or something completely harmless to everyone else.

Before he could do anything, the door bursted open and someone lunged into him, taking them both down. Willie managed to throw them off, but the smell was now even more intense than before and it was suddenly getting harder to breathe.

He was finally able to see the assailant - a woman with short brown hair around his age. It was the black Marks on her arms that really gave her away as a Shadowhunter. And Willie was willing to bet exactly who she was.

Just their luck.

He didn't have much time to curse at the universe because she was in a significantly better state than he was and she was reaching for something gleaming from her belt that Willie was pretty sure was going to hurt like hell. He tried to move away but he'd already started seeing black spots, so that was off the table and for a second there he was pretty sure that was it. This was how he was going to die.

But then he heard a hiss of pain next to him followed by the window behind him shattering. The cold air rushed in and Willie felt a million times better than before.

The woman next to him had already leaped off the floor and was currently preoccupied trying to kill his boyfriend. His very sick boyfriend who somehow still seemed to be at the top of his game. Well, maybe not top, but he was handling himself pretty well with one dagger in hand. The woman had grabbed a dagger from her belt, holding it with her left hand since the right one was bleeding. Willie noticed another dagger next to him, the blade slightly bloodied. Had Alex thrown a dagger at her hand? From what Willie gathered, Alex really liked flinging those things around.

They went at each other, Alex expertly jumping over the furniture having memorized the apartment's layout long ago - Willie had found him doing the same thing blindfolded early on; for an emergency, babe - but the woman was also not sick so she had that working for her, her reflexes working better just as she kicked the dagger out of his hand.

Willie tried to sit up, he had to help, but his head still pounded, the fresh air working in his favor, but still not enough to completely abolish the other smell.

Alex rolled behind the couch and came back up holding... a dagger? No, it was bigger. Smaller than a sword. Willie wasn't very familiar with Shadowhunter or really any other weaponry.

She didn't seem discouraged by it and still came at him just as Alex jumped on top of the couch and over at her taking them a few steps back towards the open door. Their blades clashed, but just like Alex seemed to have the upper hand, he faltered, shaking his head probably trying to refocus through a dizzy spell and it was enough for her to take advantage and throw his weapon down.

Alex quickly took a few steps back, kicking the door which hit her side, but didn't do much to deter her, while he grabbed yet another dagger from the coat rack. Willie used that thing every day - he'd never even realized.

They kept going at each other, but Willie could see Alex was getting tired with every hit, he wouldn't last for long like that. He didn't even know how he'd lasted for this long. He tried once more to sit up, this time with more success. His head still felt heavy as he reached for the french doors behind him and opened them all the way through, quickly engulfing the room in the cold breeze. He was finally able to breathe properly.

He looked back at Alex and the woman to see they had abandoned the weapons at some point and were now going at each other in hand in hand combat. Willie watched how she tried to punch him in the chest, but Alex was quick to move away which was great really because if Alex did get punched in the chest it'd be game over. He already couldn't breathe properly before this started.

Alex ducked to avoid another punch and looped his leg around her own, bringing them both down with him on top, but she was quick to kick his side with her knee, making him groan as she turned them around. Willie cleared through the haze in his head and grabbed the armchair, trying to stand up and somehow help the situation. He stepped on the glass that had fallen on the floor when the window broke which was apparently enough for the woman to lose her attention for even a second and Alex took advantage of it.

He brought her down towards him, using her weight to roll them over again and quickly got back up. She didn't waste time doing the same thing, but Alex was faster as he jumped forward with a roundhouse kick, hitting her head and knocking her out on the floor.

He swayed on his feet, but only for a second because then he was collapsing. Willie jumped in and caught him before he could hit the floor too, his own body still not one hundred percent back to normal.

"Will," Alex panted as he leaned all of his weight on him, "I think I'm sick."

"No!" Willie's first reaction was mock surprise. Sue him.

"No, I think it's true," Alex said, his eyes already half closed. Yeah, he needed to lie down now.

"Let's go inside," Willie said as he tried to steer him towards the bedroom again.

"But..." Alex started to say, looking at the woman.

"I'll deal with the unconscious Shadowhunter on our floor, babe," Willie said.

"You're okay?" Alex murmured against him as Willie practically dragged him inside. He was pretty sure Alex was already half asleep.

"I'm great," he reassured him even though the smell was still pretty strong in the hallway. Had she filled the whole building?

"What was that?" Alex asked and collapsed on the bed the second he was there.

"Silver," Willie sighed. He'd never encountered it in gas form before, but he knew the feeling of being too close to a large amount of it. If Alex hadn't broken the window when he did-

"How did you break the window?" Willie asked him even though Alex was already wrapped up in a blanket again.

"I threw a rock at it," he murmured softly.

Willie couldn't suppress a chuckle as he looked at him with a fond expression. Guess the witchlight didn't really hurt.

Willie woke up to the smell of bacon - a great way to wake up, really.

"Good morning!" Alex said from next to him and Willie opened his eyes to find him sitting cross-legged on the bed, a tray with breakfast in front of him.

"Breakfast in bed?" he asked slightly confused.

"Of course!" Alex said. He had been even more miserable the day after the fight - which honestly made a bit too much sense. Turns out that was the one Shadowhunter that had gotten away - no surprise there - and both Alex and Willie had apparently made a name for themselves. Some misguided quest for revenge since they were responsible for finding out what she and her friends were up to and they were also not under the Institute's roof. They were an easier target. But then Alex had eradicated her and Willie was proud of him. After a combination of runes and soup - Willie was pretty sure it was all the soup - he'd started feeling much better.

And was apparently back to normal this morning.

"You're amazing," Willie said, rubbing the sleep away from his eyes.

"Well, you put up with me for the past three days, that makes you automatically the best. Also, I broke a window and I'm sorry," he added.

"I would have died if you hadn't broken the window."

"It's still a broken window - we could get robbed at any minute," Alex insisted.

"We don't have aything valuable," Willie said. "Also you must have incredibly bad luck to try and rob a werewolf and a Shadowhunter. We have knives all over the apartment."

"For an emergency," Alex said with a smile.

"Who would have thought?"

"I did!" Alex said almost offended by his question, making him laugh. "I'm gonna take the breakfast away."

"Noo, I'm hungry," Willie dragged the 'o' as he sat up and grabbed a piece of bacon. "Does this mean you're going back to the Institute today?"

"I should, but I decided not to," Alex said.

"You rebel!" Willie chuckled. "How so?"

"I'm trying something out," Alex said as he started eating an apple. "I'm obviously cursed, right? So I thought, what if I take an unplanned day off? That might throw the universe off and give me some peace and quiet."

"You do seem to have bad luck when it comes to taking time off..."

"An understatement."

"You also took a Shadowhunter down while being incredibly sick and I can't help but admire that. I actually don't think I've ever seen you fight with an actual person before. It's always demons and stuff. You really know how to punch people."

It was Alex's turn to laugh. "See? We're so much more than knives and steles."

"Shocking," Willie said and took a mug of coffee from the tray. "So, you're calling in sick, what are we doing today?"

"Oh, I have big plans."

"You do?"

"Yes, we're gonna go in the living room and watch a movie."

"That's it?" Willie asked with a raised eyebrow when he didn't continue.

"Yes, because we deserve a day to do nothing. But like for real. If anyone else breaks in we'll ask them to leave and come back at a more convenient moment," Alex said being one hundred percent serious about it.

A true lazy day. It was really all Willie wanted, just a day to be with his boyfriend and do nothing. Just relax in their apartment like a normal couple, watch a movie or two and just be.

"I'd love that," he said. There was nothing he wanted more.

I will be posting there about when the next fics are coming up - maybe also a few info about them? I don't know, I'm still working things out and trying to understand how Tumblr works - please bear with me😂 Also, if you have any suggestions and you don't want to write them in the comments here, you can send them to me there.

I think I've covered everything😅
