“With perseverance, love, and devotion, you can be an Omega too! Your Alpha is waiting for you.”

Katsuki shut the television off before the overly smiley saleslady could bring out her disgusting book.

Even though he couldn’t understand the appeal, Katsuki had nothing against Alphas that went through the conversion.

It was something that used to happen every once in a blue moon; An Alpha in an Alpha-Alpha relationship’s knot would start to recede and they would have a heat—with slick and everything! It was once thought to be a miracle, but closer investigation determined that science was indeed at play.

An Alpha, while fundamentally different in many aspects of life, wasn’t as different from the Omega as humanity originally thought.

Katsuki watched as his phone’s clock struck one o’clock. He stood from his place on the couch and went to his bedroom to get his gear on.

He opted for his regular costume, even though this mission would be more suited to stealth wear. He didn’t care. He wanted that bastard to see clearly who Katsuki was.

There was no hiding. Not this time.

Being an Alpha Prime, Katsuki wasn’t a candidate for whatever this conversion entailed, at least all previous attempts to convert a Prime had failed.

Not that he ever would want to become an Omega. He was perfectly happy being able to control his biological dispositions better than even his fellow Alphas. He wasn’t a slave to his rut like the others. He was a natural born leader. He could never be someone’s bitch to play around with. He wasn’t suited to serve, only to be served.

People respected him. They looked up to him. He was the number one hero.

He was born to be an Alpha.

He was born to win against evil.

After clicking his utility belt and putting on his compact bracers, he checked his phone again, memorizing the coordinates that Shinsou had produced for him once more.

It was time.

I’m coming to end this. You better be ready for me, fucker.

The night was silent in a way Katsuki only remembered as a child. He could see the stars for the first time in what had to have been twenty years by now. It was nostalgic and fitting in an almost irritating way.

They used to watch the stars together as kids. They used to find the different shapes they made and told stories about them regardless of real life astronomy.

Katsuki could remember a time when he laughed so easily. He remembered that guy always being by his side—always marveling at something he discovered.

The wind blew through his hair as though trying to sooth the anger already simmering below the surface. He took breaths in through his mouth and out through his nose in an effort to chill the fuck out.

No. He couldn’t let that shit come up during the confrontation. There was no room for emotionally charged error.

Katsuki shook his head and leaped from building to building, careful not to use his explosions unless it was a very far reach.

His eyes burned with what he refused to acknowledge were tears. He didn’t need to feel anything. This wasn’t about him or them or whatever was in the past.

The past was dead and so was his childhood friend. All that was left was one insane fucker who needed to be arrested and Katsuki was arguably the only one who could do it.

The man was powerful—only a fool would fail to acknowledge that. But it didn’t matter. Katsuki was powerful, too. He was going to be the one to end this meaningless destruction once and for all.

Once the GPS on his ocular implant indicated he’d reached his destination, he walked around several times seeing nothing but an open valley.

He sighed and sat down. It was dark, and the stars were particularly bright here. He picked a daisy and squinted at it, wondering just what he was doing here. Despite his better judgment, his thoughts were brought back to Deku’s villain debut:

“Why are you doing this?!” Katsuki shouted desperately.

The man stepped out from the rubble, the electricity-like whips from each hand crushing the buildings around him as he pulled, bringing them crashing behind him.

His eyes burned like emeralds in the resulting fires as he looked up at Katsuki—wild green hair flying around him like a halo. His emotionless expression turned cheerful and he smiled brightly, though the happiness on his face couldn’t mask the crazed look in his eyes. “Why. . . I wanted to see Kacchan. I haven’t seen you since middle school.”

Katsuki had no idea what his motives were or why he turned to the dark side. What were his plans? The nerd never lied so he was sure what he said before had been the truth.

Katsuki huffed under his breath, laying down in the lush patch of daisies exactly where the coordinates met. “You’re the one who dropped out, asshole.”

Since their first confrontation, he’d sought Katsuki out several times. Katsuki had tried to ignore him before, but it seemed that ignoring Deku caused the man to lash out and create all sorts of unnecessary mayhem all in order to provoke Ground Zero into action. If Katsuki entertained him and fought him when requested, Deku would lay low for a while and not cause any problems. It was frustrating that Katsuki could never truly defeat him as the man always left by the time they both started getting tired.

Apparently he only wanted to fight Katsuki at his best and it was fun for him.

“You never fail to give me a challenge, Kacchan. I really like that we can spend time together like this.”

Deku was creative when he called Katsuki out. He would definitely put civilians in danger and hurt or kill heroes in question that came after him, but the moment their fights ended, it would become clear that the civilians hadn’t been in any sort of danger at all.

Even as a villain, Deku was a damn, bleeding heart. It would be sickening if Katsuki didn’t respect that about the man.

What was annoying was how he’d always prattle on during their battles about how he wished they could be friends again. He wanted to be in Katsuki’s life apparently. As if Katsuki would believe bullshit like that.

Deku was a villain and Katuski was a hero. There wasn’t any way for them to coexist.

What was strange was how quiet Deku had been for the last few months.

Katsuki had gotten used to his presence by now, whether he liked it or not. It was weird that he almost looked forward to their regular battles. It was a great way to let off steam in any case.

Katsuki tried to capture Deku when he was severely wounded, but he would suddenly be warped by that damn Kurogiri. When the tables were reversed, Deku would also leave the moment Katsuki couldn’t fight anymore.

So yeah, it felt like this weird freakin tryst between them—like they were twisted spar partners or something, only entire cities would be disrupted for the sake of their weird baggage.

Unfortunately, nobody else was strong enough to deal with Deku and it was Katsuki’s own business anyway. Somehow that little nerd from his childhood became the most powerful supervillain of the age, and he was obsessed with only Katsuki.

It was damn annoying was what it was .

So he was here to put an end to whatever this arrangement was between them, but It didn’t matter since Shinsou gave him the wrong freakin’ coordinates.

He sighed, about to call the man and give him an earful about wasting his time, when something metallic glinting under the moonlight caught his eye.

He reached for it and found it to be a short chain connected to something of a manhole.

He tugged on it for a moment, not surprised to find it locked, but that was no matter.

A precise explosion was enough to melt the lock clean off.

The hole was big enough for a person to fit through, and there was a ladder connected to the opening. While he had no idea what to expect, he didn’t have any other leads at this point. He was at a disadvantage, but if Deku was down there, he didn’t have a choice.

It was quiet when he climbed down, and the floor was closer to the surface than he expected. It was dark, but there were dim lights lining whatever hallway he was in.

The walls and floor around him were steel, causing the place to be reminiscent of some kind of high grade military base which was a weird, sterile contrast to the beautiful lush valley teeming with life just overhead.

But the long, winding descent into the bowels of this structure reflected the complexity of the individual he sought.

By the time he got down there, he had no reception in his phone anymore, and the maze only grew more winding and confusing the lower he went. He had no idea where he was by now in respect to the world above, and his watch told him he’d been walking for at least three hours.

He was beginning to think he was being led on a wild goose chase when suddenly he reached a mechanical door. It was reinforced with tungsten and even Katsuki had a difficult time with this type of metal. He could melt it, but he needed to be way more hydrated than he already was and he needed to save his water stores for his inevitable fight with Deku.

There was, however, in wild hilarity, a button on the side with a note that read “doorbell :),” and Katsuki rolled his eyes, pushing the button because at this point he knew Deku didn’t want him dead. Face to face confrontation was more his style.

He wasn’t an idiot that wouldn’t shield himself just in case, though, and the moment he pushed it, he activated the laser barrier stored on his arm band.

Nothing happened, and he looked up to see a large room. It looked to be some sort of common area with leather couches, a piano, and a mini bar and a serene atmosphere. It didn’t seem like Deku’s style until he spotted a case housing a bunch of All Might memorabilia. Leave it to Deku to be a villain and still be a fucking All Might fanboy.

He walked into the room and, not one to beat around the bush, decided to announce his presence.

“Hey Deku! You like fighting me, right? Well I’m fucking here. What, scared now that you’re not the one initiating it? Show me what you’re made of, you shitty, fucking ner—”

“Kacchan.” Katsuki froze at the familiar sound of Deku’s voice coupled with the unnerving atmosphere fallen upon the entire room. The hairs stood up on the back of his neck and he turned to face him slowly, his breath catching in his throat at the being that suddenly appeared behind him out of nowhere.

What stood before him took his breath away—whatever Deku had become.

The man before him was only a tad shorter than him, his skin is as white as porcelain enshrouded in wisps of black and green electricity. His dark green hair flew around his face and head, a slave to the waves of power emanating around him like a weird aura and Katsuki could swear the gravity in the room increased just a bit because his body felt heavier, as though trying to fall to his knees before the nearly ethereal being in his presence.

Deku’s scent had warped and changed with his increasing power, and he simply didn’t even come off as human anymore. Every hair on the back of Katsuki’s neck stood on end as the aroma entered his senses. The only way he could possibly think to describe it would be magnetizing— a harsh pull that stole the breath from his lungs.

His eyes were a striking electric green in the glow of his powerful aura.

Like a moth to a flame, Katsuki had to physically stop himself from drawing closer lest he get burned.

“I wasn’t expecting you,” Deku said softly. “I’m so. . . so happy you’re here, Kacchan.”

“I’m here to put an end to your shitty games, Deku. I’m going to defeat you here and now.”

Deku was silent for a moment, his scent suggesting a note of curiosity before he spoke again.

“That won’t work, Kacchan. You haven’t caught up to me quite yet in power. I only want to fight you when we’re equals.” He laughed, waving his hands back and forth. “Don’t make that face. You’ll catch up soon enough. I know you will.”

Katsuki let off an explosion as his anger peaked. Fuck this guy. Seriously. “Who the hell do you think you’re talking to like that, shithead? You think you can beat me?”

“I mean, yes. I can beat you. I recently acquired several new quirks and—” With a resounding blast, the right side of the room was subjected to an explosion.

Katsuki’s chest heaved up and down as the left side of the room started to burn. “The fuck do you mean, new quirks? The ability to steal quirks died with All For One.”

“Well that’s technically true, Kacchan, but my quirk is a complement of All For One. With some fine tuning, I now have the ability to take quirks and give them all the same.” Izuku snapped his fingers. Immediately the fire stopped and Katsuki blinked in his confusion. What the fuck?

“At this point in time, my ability is now known as God of Quirks. It’s a bit of a crazy title, but it means quirks are mine to receive and give at my will.”

“Yeah that’s a flashy fucking title, but there’s gotta be limits. You’re not all-powerful.”

“You’re correct in that there are rules, but I’m certainly more powerful than you.” Deku grinned mischievously and Katsuki only glared harder. Deku raised his scarred hand and studied it with interest. “This new quirk I have—Oxy2, immediately saps the oxygen in the air. Not only can I immediately cancel your fire, but I can suffocate you whenever I want.”

With the snap of his fingers, the air vanished from Katsuki’s lungs and he was left gasping, falling to his knees, trying to calm himself down because there was at least a couple minutes before he would pass out from lack of oxygen. Panic wasn’t doing him any favors, dammit.

But, in the next instant, the air returned to his lungs and he was coughing and sputtering at the ground, grinding his teeth in frustration because where the fuck did Deku get a quirk like this?

“So yes, Kacchan, I can defeat you. I’ve been avoiding you because I want you to hurry up and get stronger already, but I don’t know if it’s possible at this point.”

Katsuki rubbed his throat with one hand and pointed in Deku’s direction. “I don’t fucking care. I’m defeating you here and now! I’m not letting you just do what you want anymore.” He shook his head, grinding his teeth together in frustration. “All Might screwed up saying you couldn’t be a hero obviously. I screwed up too.” As Katsuki lunged forward to attack, Deku opened his fist and tendrils of green electricity twisted and crackled to life around it before black whips of power shot from the center. They caught Katsuki in midair, halting him and binding him in his place.

Katsuki balled his fists, eyebrows drawing together from the painful emotions coursing through him. “I know that these aren’t excuses for your actions, but even now I think about what we could have been if we’d been able to be mates as planned. If I could have protected you. . . S-Saved you from whatever you’ve become now.”

Deku’s expression was soft, his eyebrows drawn together tightly, lips set in a gentle smile. “But this is a really good opportunity, Kacchan. I think I have an idea of what we can do instead.”

He yelled as he was slammed to the ground then, brought to his hands and knees and forced into a prostrate position on the floor. “The f-fuck are you talking about, asshole?” Katsuki barked, struggling against the restraints.

“I think, since it’s clear who’s the most powerful between us now, I’ll take you as my mate.”

Katsuki gaped at him, his mind desperately trying to process the words coming out of his mouth. His eye twitched in annoyance. “Are you kidding me? We’re both Alphas, dipshit. We can’t mate.”

Deku’s brows raised and he looked up to Katsuki. “Well obviously, but if we were to convert you, then—”

“I don’t care about that crazy conversion process. Even if it’s possible, it ain’t for Primes, shithead.”

Alpha Primes couldn’t be converted. It had been attempted before and it always failed. Granted there weren’t a lot of subjects to tests—Alpha Primes were less than inclined to want to become Omegas—but the few that had tried had been unsuccessful. There wasn’t any way it would work.

“I think we’re worth it to try, don’t you?”

“Even if, for some godforsaken reason, converting an Alpha Prime to an Omega worked, I’m not gonna be your Omega bitch no matter what shit you try to pull.”

Deku smiled and walked forward, and Katsuki raised his hand to send an explosion his way, only to have his fire literally wicked by the Oxy2 quirk. He ground his teeth in frustration and disgust as Deku dropped to his knees in front of him. He was about to lash out, but his arms were bound together with the whips as well.

His chin was grabbed by large, pale fingers. “Like you said, the bond won’t stick if you’re not an Omega, so I’m going to do my best, okay?”

Katsuki thrashed against his hold. “I don’t want, you, asshole. Our worlds couldn’t be further apart at this point. I hate you, you hate me. We’re fighting on opposite sides in this war.”

Izuku considered him, nodding his head as if he was taking what Katsuki said very seriously. “I don’t believe you. I think you love me, Kacchan. I think maybe you feel guilty for the things you did to me back then.” Izuku’s face softened, his eyes dark and contrasting too hard with the soft smile on his face. “I can’t forgive you for the things you did. Not as you are, but don’t worry. I will redeem you, Kacchan. I’ll punish you so you don’t have to live with the guilt. I’ll strip away your Alpha status and allow you to serve me as my Omega and have my children. Doesn’t that sound nice?”

“Wait D-Dek—mmfgh!” Izuku kissed him again before pulling back, his eyes half lidded. He brought his lips down to his jaw, peppering the expanse of skin with kisses until he reached the side of his neck.

Izuku bit down on that gland then, his canines sinking in deeply, piercing his flesh and causing sparks to explode in Katsuki’s vision.

He’d never been bitten there before. It was wrong. It felt wrong. The only person biting him there should be an Omega—an Omega he’d already mated.

It never should have been shitty, nerdy, Alpha Deku.

The Alpha within him was raging in protest because how could he possibly let this happen? He was ruined for his mate! No Omega was going to be receptive of him now even if he somehow got to the point where he wanted to take an Omega.

Deku took that option away. For fuck’s sake.

“I-I’ll kill you, asshole,” he bit out as the bite started to flare with heat.

“Mmm,” Deku said, lapping up at the blood no doubt pooling at the punctures he created. “It’s okay. Your Alpha is right here.”

“You’re not my Alpha! Fuck off.”

There was no pull—no sense of ownership after being bitten as all Omegas felt when their Alpha claimed them. Their scents sure as hell didn’t mix the way it would have. He couldn’t even imagine his scent being able to mix with Deku’s.

Everything about this was wrong.

“So Kacchan. . . I’m going to do my best to make it so we can be mated someday for real, but I’m gonna need you to cooperate with me. I’ve taken your quirk so you don’t get distracted—Oh don’t worry, I’ll give it back once we’re mated. By then you will realize that we were meant to be together.”

Katsuki felt nothing, but the look in Deku’s eyes told him that he wasn’t lying. He tried to ignite the sweat on his palms but to no avail.

Deku took his quirk.

Fuck.

Deku kissed his temple in what was a tender, loving gesture. Katsuki curled his lip in disgust, but allowed himself to be pulled up.

Deku pulled him by the shoulder and released the bonds holding his legs, and while Katsuki could try to make a break for it, he wasn’t going to get very far in this goddamn ant colony of a villain base. There was only one way out that he knew of, and there were likely villains already guarding the exits.

He would have to play nice for now and wait for an opportunity.

Shinsou knew the coordinates of this place, so once Katsuki didn’t come back, the base would be swarmed.

He followed Deku out of the common area and down a very long hallway. The longer they walked, the less All Might appreciation there was, giving way to a rigid, clinical interior not unlike an underfunded hospital.

Even though the temperature on his ocular implant still read 22°C, Katsuki felt much colder than before.

“How much farther are we going, shithead?” Katsuki complained after what felt like a half an hour of walking through the dark corridor.

“Just a little ways now. We have to get you checked out before we can get you settled in.”

“Checked out. . .” As if Katsuki didn’t know what that meant. His implant had been sending distress signals and coordinates ever since his quirk was taken away. “Nothing’s getting through the dirt piled on top of us,” he explained.

“But what if we go shopping, Kacchan? I don’t want anyone interrupting our time together.” Deku’s tone was resolute and Katsuki raised a brow, desperately trying to imagine Deku, surrounded by electric green waves of power, hair flying every which way, casually checking out milk at the register.

He almost laughed. Almost.

The doctor there seemed to be nice at least. His quirk was called “Numb.” He was able to make all sensations of pain disappear with one touch—both a useful and terrifying power. If this was used in a fight, it would be too easy for a hero to overlook a critical hit.

He took out Katsuki’s device from his temple and scanned him for any more tracking devices. After that, there was a routine checkup and scan for illnesses, injuries, and diseases before he declared Katsuki had a clean bill of health and was able to proceed.

After that, Katsuki was brought to what looked like an underground highway. There was pavement and streetlights and a goddamn bicycle rack for fucks sake.

Where the hell were they?

Katsuki followed Deku, his hands still bound in front of him until the arch of the tunnel gave way to a brightly lit area. Beyond the light, Katsuki’s eyes beheld an open, cavernous area with what looked to be buildings and homes all smashed together created by a mixture of stone and wood. It was simultaneously medieval and modern and it was jarring for Katsuki to see.

Just when did someone create this underground city?

“Where the fuck is this place?” Katsuki asked, unable to mask the awe in his voice, noticing how Deku pulled up the hood of his hoodie.

Deku smiled. “This is our home, Kacchan,” he explained, pulling the blonde through the streets. It was then that Katsuki noticed the people around him. They were all mean looking fuckers that bared their teeth at him, and excited murmurs of Ground Zero greeted his ears. He glared every one of those fuckers down and was proud that, even in his captured state, they still feared him.

He couldn’t help but notice that they all had quirks that looked hard to regulate and carried all breeds of weapons as they walked.

This was a villain society, apparently. The actual fuck? How was the world above not aware of the creation of a huge place like this?

As though reading his mind, Deku explained. “We have several quirk users with sound manipulation that aided in the construction of this city. We’re far enough underground, and quirk usage is usually low enough to barely make a seismic blip on the radar.”

Katsuki scoffed. “Yeah? And how do you regulate shit like that?”

“Regulate?” Deku said with a small smile. “Everyone usually gets along real well, Kacchan. There’s no need to regulate their quirks like upstairs.”

Both of their heads turned at a loud crashing sound that happened not five meters away. In the center of the commotion were two guys—one who was green and had the structure of an alligator-human hybrid and the other, a guy with limbs longer than an entire person. The alligator man was bowling into spaghetti fucker like a fucking tank before he got wrapped up in those arms and they became a large, destructive bowling ball that started tearing through the streets.

Katsuki looked over to Deku, as if to say I fucking told you so, but Deku’s gaze was dark and his face was as hard as stone.

And then his power unfurled, the aura spanning around them in what must have been a twenty mile radius, halting everyone, including the brawling villains in their tracks.

Noodle fucker unwrapped his limbs from Gator-dude and they both got up to stand on trembling legs.

“Hey, guys,” Deku greeted with a cheerful lilt of his voice, the power radiating off of him in waves as his eyebrows drew together in deep concern. “Could you maybe tone it down a bit? I’m sure whatever you’re arguing about can be brought to a compromise if you just sit down and talk about it.” Deku’s expression brightened and he walked forward, his foot falls creating dips in the pavement beneath them. The villains backed away instinctively as he drew nearer, shrinking under Deku’s intimidating presence.

Alligator guy was the first to speak after a solid minute of stunned silence. “I-I think we can f-figure it out, D-Deku-sama.”

Deku scratched his pinkend cheek, biting his lip. “Y-You don’t need to add that at the end. Just Deku is fine,” he murmured. “A-Anyway I trust you two to figure it out. Do your best, okay?” He pumped his fist encouragingly and the two before him nodded, terror still present in their expressions.

The terrifying part was how Izuku’s powerful aura never once shrank as he spoke in such an uplifting and positive manner—everyone here understood that they could be erased in an instant if Deku got angry. That much was clear.

No regulation my ass, Katsuki thought disdainfully.

No rules. No quirk regulation, but there was always the underlying threat of this monster here if things got too rowdy. It was an efficient strategy to keep masses civil, if not a bit vicious.

But this was a villain society. A little ruthlessness went a long way.

He followed Deku down the street again and they turned a corner and walked about fifteen minutes before they reached a series of what looked to be apartment dwellings held up by more wood and earth.

While there were villains crawling all over the place before, as they progressed, the residents of the city dwindled until it seemed they stopped in front of a deserted apartment complex.

Deku didn’t seem to notice as they walked into the building.

Inside was what you might expect—mail area, a common room, and then an area for the stairwell. Katsuki fleetingly wondered who the fucking villain mail carrier was before he realized he had too much pride to ask such a ridiculous question. They made their way up the carpeted stairs and up to the third floor until they stood before door 302.

Deku produced a key with a gaudy All Might keychain on it and Katsuki had the wild realization that Deku fucking lived here.

“Is this some kind of fucking joke?” Katsuki asked as he crossed the threshold into the barest apartment he’d ever seen. There was a table with a few cushions on the floor next to it, facing a small television. Plus, in the lone corner of the room, sat a goddamn fucking cactus.

Deku looked up, tilting his head and raising a brow. “A joke, Kacchan?”

Katsuki rolled his eyes and gestured to the general fucking everything. “This. You can’t tell me this is your goddamn residence.

Deku’s mouth parted in surprise. “Well of course it is, Kacchan. Why wouldn’t it be?”

Katsuki’s eye twitched and he bared his teeth. “You’re the ruler of this entire fucking city and you live in a shady-ass apartment in the shady-ass part of town?”

“I mean, it’s a villain city so all parts of town are kind of shady—”

“Not my fucking point, jackass!”

Deku sighed. “I don’t consider myself the ruler, Kacchan. I’m not good at keeping up on stuff like that so I have Kurogiri, Twice, and Spinner doing most of the legislation and decision making for the town. I’m just—”

“The bomb threat, right?”

“W-What—”

“As if you don’t fucking know, Deku.” Katsuki rolled his eyes and plopped down on the blue cushion carelessly, not giving a shit if he was being rude by not taking his shoes off or excusing himself. He didn’t have fucking free hands so that kind of paid for his manners. “You’re power terrifies everyone into submission so they know not to screw up to badly lest they get their face blown off.”

Deku seemed genuinely shocked at the accusation. “What? N-No I—”

“That’s why you’re the only one who lives here, right?”

Deku’s eyebrows knitted together and he frowned. “N-No? I have plenty of neighbors. There’s Hacksaw-san next door, and Miss Massacrena just upstairs. I’m friends with Jaguar-san, too. They wave to me and visit with me every day—”

Katsuki bared his teeth in annoyance. “You ever think maybe they just show up every now and then to make you think they still live there? There was nobody here when we walked in, I haven’t heard even one bang or voice. Your walls ain’t that thick, Deku. Maybe they live here, but it ain’t when your ass is around. You’re a monster to them. They visit with you to stay in your good graces.”

A chill went down Katsuki’s spine as Deku’s scent took on a hint of unmistakable deadliness. His face went dark and the corners of his mouth were downturned.

His eyes glowed in the wake of his immense power. “They’re my friends, Kacchan,” he insisted, his voice quiet now.

Katsuki swallowed thickly and looked away. “Y-Yeah. Right. You’re right.” Katsuki could feel his perspiration increase as Deku’s powerful scent grew more and more menacing, but then it was gone in an instant as the man’s cheerful demeanor returned. Jesus fucking christ.

“Deku-sama.”

Katsuki looked up to see that weird smoke fucker standing in the entryway to the kitchen, holding a tray of tea and cookies

“Ah, Kurogiri-san. Thanks for that. Also I keep saying that 'Deku' is fine. . .” Kurogiri placed the tea on the table and nodded to Katsuki. “Kurogiri-san lives here with me, Kacchan. So you’ll be sleeping with me while Kurogiri-san uses the guest room.”

Kurogiri turned to Katuski. “Please have some tea and settle in, Bakugou-san. We need to do a few modifications before you go to bed.”

Katsuki scoffed. As if he would drink their undoubtedly poisoned tea.

Katsuki’s hands were freed then, and his mind instantly went back to the small detail of Deku not locking his front door. He could leave. He could run out right now while they did whatever it was they needed to do in that room.

But the unlocked door, while his proverbial key to freedom, was ironically the only reason he wasn’t running right the fuck now.

It was because, with no small amount of frustration and humiliation for Katsuki, he knew, no matter how fast he was, no matter what tricks he pulled, there was no way he would even be able to pass the threshold before Deku was on him.

Like this, Katsuki was just as imprisoned as someone who had seven locks on the goddamn door. Fuck.

It was the most infuriating situation he’d ever found himself in his life.

He ran the scenarios through his brain several times and it quickly became clear that the only escape was to somehow kill both Deku and Kurogiri. There was no other solution.

The real question was how the fuck Katsuki was going to kill someone who was almost an actual demon at this point?

He didn’t even have his fucking quirk.

Katsuki took several deep breaths in and out of his nose, ignoring the offered tea entirely. He needed to take a minute and just rationalize his situation.

Play nice. Just fucking play nice for now until you find an opportunity. Deku wasn’t inhuman, no matter how demonic he came off as. He had a weakness still. He said it himself. He could still be stabbed, right? Or what if he gained a healing quirk by now? Knowing Deku, he wouldn’t foolishly stuff as many quirks as he could into himself. He would be strategic about it.

He probably had some sort of protective quirk. Katsuki already knew he had several offensive ones after being on the receiving end of a few of them himself.

Just how many had he obtained in the three months since he stopped seeking Katsuki out?

Katsuki didn't know how long he sat there scowling before Deku returned to the living room.

“Alright! We’ve done the most important modifications, but it’s still like, two a.m. so it’s time for bed. I’m assuming you ate dinner earlier?”

Katsuki only scowled in response.

Deku shrugged. “Alright. I know this is going to take some adjusting for you, Kacchan, so I’ll give you some time with this.” With the smile on his face, one might think this person was an amazingly nice guy if they didn’t know him. “I know you’ll see things my way soon enough.”

Keep dreaming asshole.

Katsuki was pulled to his feet and led to an All Might fanboy’s wet dream of a bedroom. He grimaced at the multiple faces of All Might plastered on his walls, the figures in cases, and the god-forsaken red, white, and yellow color scheme everywhere. He wanted to bleach his eyes.

“You expect me to sleep in this embarrassing room?” he barked, curling his lip in disgust. Even the headboard to the bed had All Might-esque blonde protrusions.

Deku pouted and shut the door behind them before beginning to undress. “It’s an awesome bedroom.”

“If I didn’t want to kill myself before—” A shirt was thrown at Katsuki’s face then, silencing him

“Well, if you want to redecorate we can do that this weekend once you’ve settled in more.

Katsuki looked up to see the window area reinforced with bars. He rolled his eyes and looked to the queen sized bed located at the center of the longest wall of the room. With the simplicity of the rest of the apartment, he’d almost been expecting a traditional futon.

Deku, now clad only in striped pajama pants crawled into his bed, leaving markedly enough room for Katsuki to join him.

Katsuki sat on the floor in front of the door.

He heard the man sigh from atop the bed, a shuffling noise and finally he looked up to see green eyes looking down at him, glowing cyan in the light from the barred window.

“Come to bed, Kacchan.”

Katsuki was silent.

“I’ve let you do what you want so far, but this is something I can’t compromise on. You need to become acclimated to my scent if the conversion is to work.

“It’s hilarious that you think I give any sort of fucks about that.”

Deku sighed again and in the next instant, Katsuki was being dragged to his feet by those infuriating black whips and deposited onto the bed. He glared up at Deku but remained where he was put. The nerd still had the upper hand here, despite how much Katsuki wanted to protest.

He was powerless, and if the deadly smell in the room was any indicator, he was walking on thin fucking ice.

It wasn’t that he was afraid of dying—no it would be better than whatever twisted bullshit this nerd was planning on subjecting him to, but he’d been working with villains long enough to know that dying wasn’t the worst way to punish a hero.

Katsuki did his best on a regular basis to keep his distance from people to avoid hostage situations that affected him personally, but he had friends and people he cared about despite how removed he made himself appear from them.

Deku had observed him long enough to know that he had attachments at the very least, and as a hero, the citizens of this city were already a liability for him.

If he didn’t cooperate, there was a huge chance Deku might start wreaking havoc to ensure Katsuki’s obedience, and nobody needed someone like Deku causing undirected mayhem.

The population of Japan should consider themselves lucky at this point.

Deku wasn’t stupid. He would use anything at his disposal to get Katsuki to do what he wanted, so biting his tongue off to bleed out or intentionally starving to death weren’t going to be options.

He could survive a while without food, and he could get water from the tap. It was still risky and he’d have to eat eventually—sooner rather than later, but for his own sanity he didn’t want to be drugged and taken advantage of. He’d figure it out.

He sighed and moved to take off his gear and shoes. Once Deku covered them both up and settled in behind him, he relaxed into the plush softness of the provided pillow.

If he was going to survive, he was going to do it with his dignity, dammit.
